Do I know You? (Mikayla and Cougar)

Danielle shivered and pulled her jacket tighter around her. Her parents, brother and Mikayla were with her. They had been walking all day long visiting various places. Their last stop was the Tower of London. Her parents thought that it was the best thing ever created. Her brother James just wanted to see where people had been killed. Danielle on the other hand didn't really care either way. She was freezing cold and it didn't help that her hair was wet either. All she was wearing was jeans, a sweater, some boots and a jacket. "Mom," Danielle said "I'm cold." she really didn't expect her to do anything so she was surprised when she answered. "I'm sorry honey but I told you to wear a coat." That is not what I wanted to hear. Danielle thought stubbornly. "Well are we almost- wait! I see it!" Jeez that thing's big! "O.k. we're going to split up." Danielle's mom said. "Make sure you look after your sister James!" After telling them where and when to meet they left.

"Finally," Danielle said "I thought they'd never leave. O.k. James we'll meet you later kay?" Danielle set off Mikayla beside her. Suddenly she was being yanked back by the back of her jacket. She heard her brother whisper "I'm not getting in trouble because of you. Now you just walk around and I'll make sure you don't do anything crazy. And if you try to run away I know how to cause you pain without magic." her brother whispered in her ear. Breaking free she turned and glared at him, hands on her hips. "James you are going mad aren't you? How many times do I have to tell you? Magic isn't real. I suggest you get that through your head. Before people start to think that you're crazy." smirking at him she turned on her heel and walked away. Ignoring her brother's cursing as he followed her from a distance she kept walking. Then she ran into something. Stepping backward she looked at the figure. He looked slightly familiar. "Do I know you?" she asked.

Cougar drank some hot chocolate. He loved being home. He missed Hogwarts, of course, but he was glad to be home once in a while. Of course, he had to lock up his wand to keep him from accidentally using it. Plus, a few days worth of explaining every detail he could of Hogwarts and his stay there since August. His dad has always been interested in Cougar's magical adventures. If only my dad could turn into a wizard Cougar thought, Then, I wouldn't run out of saliva every 4 and a half minuets. He looked at the Christmas tree, admiring the lights. His dad always had the tree up around November, but this year he was running late. He thought of the many things he could do, and decided to walk about the city.

Cougar pulled on a Browning jacket, a royal long-sleeve shirt and a pair of blue jeans. He walked out the door after grabbing a bit of money. He walked down the streets taking in all the sites. He hadn't remembered everything, but after being at Hogwarts so long, everything seemed smaller. He decided to take a stroll through to the Tower of London. He walked at a brisk pace. He was so enthralled he didn't notice the girl that was in front of him gathering the sights. He knocked into her.

"Oh my, I'm so sorry I really didn't see you there. I- Hey you look familiar. Haven't I seen you before." Cougar said, scared to mention Hogwarts without being sure. As soon as he saw Mikayla, however; He knew they were witches. "I have seen you. On the grounds at school. Hi Mikayla." Cougar added. "So, what are you guys up to?" Cougar said pondering.

Mikayla walked behind of Danielle's mother with Danielle. Mikayla and Danielle and her brother were all going to go to see the tower of London. Mikayla looked at Danielle while she told her mom she was cold. Mikayla could understand that it was windy and Danielle's hair was wet. Mikayla's braids were a little out of wack because of all the wind. As Danielle's mom was telling us what to do and to stay with Danielle's brother Mikayla looked over at him. He didn't look so keen on the idea of walking with me and Danielle but Mikayla could understand walking around with to girls could be a bit awkward for him. "Siblings.." Mikayla said to her self smiling. "I'm glad I don't have any." Mikayla said to herself knowing she was lying to herself.

After her mom told us where to meet and when to bet there and all me and Danielle and her brother started to walk off. Then Danielle made her comment about basically ditching her brother she watched as they both had there little spat she heard he brother mumble in her ear something and saw her reply. As Danielle grabbed her and carried her off Mikayla was kind of wondering what just happened the argument happened so fast. They had bumped into somebody she looked up and it was Cougar she felt her face get a little red and she smiled shyly and replied "Hey, Cougar." Mikayla said in shock to actually have seen someone from Hogwarts especially a boy "Oh, we were looking around.." "And running away from her brother." Mikayla answered sweetly.

"Hey." Danielle said smiling. "Isn't this place wonderful? I mean look at it it's huge! Do you think it has a heater or something? Cause I'm really cold." Shivering she turned to see James glaring at her. "O.k. people. Now I think that we should get a move on. We have to meet my parents at about...um...I dunno but we do have to meet them! And we've got a lot to see." Starting off she heard James cuss at her. "I'm telling mom!" she called over her shoulder smirking. "Do you pay to get in?" Danielle said stopping. "Oh well either way I'm not leading. Because if someone get's lost I'll get in trouble." Turning around she remembered that she hadn't even asked Cougar if he wanted to come! "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry! I didn't even ask you if you wanted to come. Anyway do you? It'll be fun. And we can run from my brother, that'll be good exercise." She laughed and waited for them to say something.

Cougar listened to the confusion. Wow, glad I don't have a sibling. He was proud of that fact. He listened to the proposal. He looked at her brother. "Wassup?" Cougar said, nodding. "Hey we can check out a few places I know after we go where you want." Cougar offered. He had just noticed the excited gleam in the two's eyes. He felt the chill and squeezed his-self tighter. He watched the newspapers go by with the wind. He waited to hear what they would say

Mikayla watched as Danielle started asking her usual questions. "Wow!" Mikayla said looking around she forgot how beautiful London was. "Its been a while since I was in London." Mikayla kinda of said softly kind of speaking to herself. "I have never been away from home that long and its like I'm seeing London for the first time." Mikayla looked around observantly. "Man, this place is great.." Mikayla said drifting off into her own observing things deeply kind of state.

Mikayla listened to Danielle and Cougar and Danielle's brother talk, yet she was walking slowly looking around. She was searching her mind for a memory of this place. And then she remembered her old nanny took her here when she was a little girl like 4 or 5 years old. She smiled a soft smile and walked back over to Danielle and them and paid attention to the conversation they were having.

"Yeah, that sounds great." Danielle said to Cougar. "But do you think we could go to the places you've been first? That is," she said looking at James. "if it's o.k. with my big brother." smiling sweetly she waited for him to say something. Finally he talked. "You can go, if you don't tell mom." he said. "Hmmm..." she said mockingly, " Let me think about this. O.k. I've made my mind. I won't tell mom. Now we have to shake on it." She held out her hand for him to shake. Keeping her left hand behind her back. "Why's your hand behind your back?" "What!" she snapped at him, "I can't scratch my back?" Sighing heavily she held it in front of him. When he took her hand she put the other behind her back again and scratched her back. They shook hands. "O.k. the deal is sealed. I'm tellin' mom! I didn't say what I wouldn't tell her. Or dad." Her eyes lit up.

"Mikayla do you have your cell phone with you? 'Cause if you do I need to use it real quick."

"Yeah, its right here." Mikayla said pulling her cell phone out of her pocket with a some what confused look on her face. She handed it to Danielle. Mikayla looked over to Cougar and mouthed "What just happened?" She waited for a reply. She wasn't sure how Danielle had tricked her brother because... Mikayla stopped thinking. Mikayla just stopped thinking and letting her mind wander off. She over analyzed things to much and she needed to just focus.

Mikayla watched as Danielle mocked her brother aimlessly. "Why, don't we just go look around now?" Mikayla said quickly tucking her cell phone away in her pocket before Danielle could get it. Mikayla didn't want to hear the constant arguing between Danielle and her brother. "How about we go and look the stuff Cougar wants to look at first?" Mikayla asked smiling at Cougar giving him permission to take them where he would like to go.

Cougar listened puzzled as Danielle and her brother worked something out. "Have you two ever considered sibling counseling?" Cougar asked jokingly. He realized, however; that they wanted to go to the places he did first. "Well I know a place alot like the three broomsticks a few blocks down." Cougar replied. He started walking in that direction, figuring that the two would follow him. He remembered the time he and his Mom would go in there. He remembered noticing that there were alot of strange and shady people in there. He used to ask about them, but his Mom used to tell him that they used magic here, in a joking way Cougar thought, but she always told him to never tell his Dad. He could live with that.

They finally arrived at the spot. "Ahh, were here. The Bubbling Dragons. It has really good drinks in here. The butterbeer is better, if you can imagine it being better, here. I think they fix it differently or something." He grabbed them a table by the fireplace, for he could tell that they were cold. "Well take a seat, what have you two been doing since you all left? I think I saw yall on the train?"Cougar asked. He could smell the smell of firewhisky and butterbeer.

Danielle laughed openly, ignoring the angry looks she got. "Wow you are so funny! Why would we need counseling? Do you think we do Mikayla?" Knowing the answer Danielle began to follow Cougar. They walked for a while then came to a stop. "This is the place?" she asked him. "That's a weird name isn't it though? The Bubbling Dragons. Interesting name."she finished smiling. An image of two dragons in a cauldren popped into her head. Giggling quietly she walked in. They got a table by the fireplace and she sat down. James sat down at another table across from them looking sulky. Rolling her eyes she looked around. 'What have you two been since you all left?' "Do you mean since we left school? 'Cause if you do I haven't done anything really. Today's the highlight of my holidays. Well this and Christmas but that hasn't happened yet."

Mikayla giggled sweetly at the counseling comment. And followed gracefully behind Cougar. "Awesome!" Mikayla had heard things about three broomsticks at Hogwarts, she heard some older girls talking about it. Mikayla hadn't been in there though. Mikayla laughed at Danielle she was having some kind of brunette vs. blonde moment. "He meant since you guys argue so much.." Mikayla replied for Cougar giggling. She watched as they approached the little place. Mikayla thought about the name. She pictured dragons with bubbly skin in her head. "Gross!" Mikayla said to herself.

"Butterbear?" Mikayla asked saying it accidentally aloud. "You probably did.." Mikayla said in response to Cougars train comment. "We were sitting in the middle section." "We were probably the loudest." Mikayla said remembering the laughing. They all entered. It was very rustic Mikayla noticed. They all sat by the fireplace. All but one, Danielle's brother. He sat across from them sour as a lemon. He was still mad about getting burned by Danielle. "For some reason I never imagined seeing someone from Hogwarts.." Mikayla said talking to both of them.
