„So sorry, I’m late. I helped clean up the dishes,“ Janey shouted as she rushed into the pound, „Have you guys been here for long?“ „It’s quite alright, and we have been here for only a little while,“ Kelsay – Gary’s ,mom said looking up from the kittens she was kneeling among, „Just come in. Gary just finished feeding the animals.“ „Mom! Look at this dog!“ Lindy shouted with exitement picking up a brown-white puppy with long dropping ears, „She’s so cute!“ „I think she is actually a he, hey Janey, took longer at work?“ Shirley comment appearing into view from tha back room with a few dogs wandering behind her. „Yeah, had to help wash the dishes as the machine broke once again,“ Janey commented dropping her jacket on the floor before plopping down on the floor as well and starting to pet the animals.
„Hey, Janey,“ Gary said smiling brightly at his oldest sisters. He had watched his family for a momnet – his mom, Janey, Hsirley, Lindy. Gary smiled happily. He had the best family anyone could wish for. „Yup, Shirley is right. That pup is a he, Lindy,“ Gary replied with a smile as he crouched down next to Lindy while picking up a kitten as well. A quick banter started among the family again with lots of laughter and jokes. The only moment it was interrupted was when someone knocked on the door that separated the first office from the animal rooms where te Crane family was right now situated. „Shouldn’t the pound be closed already for today?“ his mom asked curiously as Gary stood. „Oh,“ Janey slapped a hand over her mouth, „I think I forgot to lock the door when I came in. I’m so sorry, Gary.“
„It’s alright, Janey, I’m sure it’s nothing bad,“ Gary said standing and opening the door only to see 3 persons – a grown man, a girl and a younger boy standing there. Gary looked at them curiously for a moment. They were all dressed rather fancily. Or maybe not, but Gary himself would have chosen some more ordinary clothes for coming to the pound. „Who are you? You are tall!“ Lindy said as she appeared next to Gary and misling brightly at the strange mind, tugging at his sleeve, „Can you see better when you are tall? I want to grow tall too. I would be taller if I could wear heels like Janey and Shirley do, but mom says I’m too young for that.“ „Lindy, stop bothering the nice man,“ Gary heard her mom admonishing the 11 year old Lindy who stepped next to Gary while still smiling at the man happily. „Um, hello. The pound is actually closed, but I’m sure you could tell me what animal you want and be back first hting tomorrow,“ Gary said with a hesitant smile towards the family in front of him. „Oh, but all of these animals deserve a nice home,“ Gary heard his mother say nd he looked over to see his mom smiling at him while 5 kittens were playing around her, „It wouldn’t be a bother. Especially since you already have the animals out, don’t you think so, Gary?“
Gary smiled back at her mother. Due to having worked for 24 hours straight in hospital she still looked pretty in her jeans and beige blouse with blue dandelions sewn she had sewn at the hem of the blouse herself. Her mom was gorgeous and she still found time for the animals. Gary couldn’t help but smile at her. „Well, I suppose it wouldn’t be a bother. You were wanting some animal, weren’t you? You can step in and find one,“ Gary said turning back to the family and taking a step back as a clumsy light-brown puppy andered pass him sniffing the younger boy.

Meyghan's brother had been begging their father for a new pet, as if they didn't have enough of them as it was. Meyghan hoped her father wouldn't allow it, but as usual her little brother had gotten his way. So her father announced that they were going to be go to the pound. The pound, but dad usually buys the new pets from the pet store. Why the pound. Meyghan thought to herself. She didn’t like going to the pound, it always smelled bad there.
Meyghan’s father yelled for everyone when he was ready to go. He must think I can get ready as fast as he can. She thought as she heard her dad’s voice rising in the air. Meyghan looked in the mirror at what she was wearing, it wasn’t her best outfit, but it was comfortable enough. Meyghan was search her overlarge closet for the right pair of shoes, when she heard her dad call her again. “ Coming, just let me find my shoes.” She yelled back at him.
As the car turned the corner, Meyghan’s brother became over excited, he was shouting that he was finally able to see the pound. Meyghan just rolled her eyes and sighed. She wondered why she even had to come on this trip with them. This was something the two of them could do alone. The sleek black car pulled into the drive in front of the pound, and came to a sudden stop.
Meyghan and her family walked into the front office of the pound, and didn’t see anyone. Then they heard voices from behind another door. Meyghan’s dad walked over to that door and knocked on it. Meyghan pushed her little brother over to stand next to their father.
Suddenly a boy, whom looked close to Meyghan’s age answered the door. He told them that they had already closed, but then someone that looked as if she might be the boy’s mother told him that it wouldn’t hurt to let Meyghan and her family look at the pets since they were already out. She had heard the woman call the boy Gary, her father must have heard this too.
“ Hello, My name is Felton Gallagher, and this is my daughter Meyghan, and my son, Cleveland. And yes we are looking for another pet for Cleveland. But I am terribly afraid that I do not know what type of pet he is searching for.” Meyghan’s father said, as the boy told them to come in and look at the pets. Meyghan noticed that when her father had been speaking, he was not looking at Gary, but at his mother. Meyghan thought she was very pretty, and seemed very polite.
Meyghan noticed the kittens that the woman was playing with, she walked over and looked at them. These kittens are cute, but MeyMey wouldn’t be able to get along with a kitten. She was so small, and the kittens would probably mistake her for a purple mouse. Meyghan thought about the kittens. She knew that she wanted one, but she had to think about MeyMey.
Meyghan noticed that her father had also walked over to where the woman was playing with the kittens. She heard him speak again, “ Those are some cute kittens, aren’t they Meyghan.” He had said softly, bending down while still staring at the woman, to pet the kittens. “ Yeah, they are, but I don’t think that MeyMey would get along well with them, that’s why I haven’t asked for one yet.” Meyghan said making it clear that she would like a kitten, but that she was putting her other pet first.

„Puppies! Puppies are the best animals!“ Shirley shouted from wehre she was laying on the floor won her stomach with different dogs and puppies climbing over her, „Dogs are faithful and friendly!“ „I don’t know, I’m partial to kittens actually. Cats are more independent,“ Janey argued sitting down next to Shirley with a cat in her arms. Gary smiled at her sisters antics as they teased each other a bit about whether kittens or puppies were better. „Just come on in, and look around for who catches your eye,“ Gary told the boy – Cleveland and lowering himself onto the ground as well, while looking at Meyghan thoughtfully. She seemed awfully familiar. „Excuse me, do you go to some m... ah, some school around here? You seem somehow familiar?“ Gary asked her curiously hoping his slip up with almost saying muggle wouldn’t be noticed.
Gary’s mother looked up and smiled at Meyghan sa well: „Hello, I’m Kelsey. Do you like these? Who knows, perhaps MeyMey would even get along with them? The kittens are just children so MeyMey might get used to them before they grow bigger. What animal MeyMey is?“ Gary watched as her mother smiled at the man – Felton – as well with a arely noticable blush on her neck. It would probably go unnoticed by the strangers, but Gary exchanged a quick knowing glance with Janey and Shirley. Gary guessed that the guy might have looked rather attractive but they had just met, so Gary wasn’t really worried about it.
Gary watched curiously as Lindy marched up the man again staring at him while chewing on her lower lip. „This is my mom. Kelsey. I’m Lindy and those are Janey, Shirley and Gary. I like you. Do you like us too?“ Lindy asked sitting next to their mom with still staring up at the man. „Lindy, be polite,“ Gary’s mom told the girl sternly, before smiling apologetically, „I’m sorry, Lindy doesn’t mean any harm. She’s just a bit young and doesn’t think what she’s saying sometimes.“ A kitten climbed to her mom’s lap again and Kelsey – her mom – turned her attention on the small white nad beige animal while Gary grinned and turned to Cleveland. „So, do you have nay idea what kind of an animal you are wanting for? Or what kind of characterstics you want for the pet?“

Meyghan was unsure of how to answer Kelsey's question, she looked over at her dad. He seemed to understand what she wanted and nodded his head. He thought that it would be okay to tell them what kind of animal MeyMey was. " MeyMey is a purple pygmy puff. I got her right after school let out for the summer." Meyghan said. Meyghan slid her hands in the pocket of her loose sweater, and felt something furry. She grabbed it and pulled the furry little ball out. Meyghan looked shockingly at the little purple puff. It was MeyMey. " This is MeyMey. She must have snuck into my pocket, Dad. You know she doesn't like being left alone." Meyghan said as her dad looked at her. Meyghan hadn't had MeyMey very long, just a few months, but she loved her dearly, and took very good care of her.
Meyghan had also been thinking of how to answer Gary's question, but now that she had shown them MeyMey, and that they didn't show any signs of shock toward seeing a purple ball of fluff, Meyghan knew that it would be safe to answer the question properly. "Umm..yes, I do. You look familiar as well. I go to a school called Hogwarts." Meyghan made sure not to say what was studied at Hogwart's, so that if they didn't know what kind of school Hogwart's was, she could just say that it was a private school. Meyghan knew that she had to be careful about what she told others from the muggle community. She didn't want to give it away that there was a community full of wizards and witches to just anyone.
Meyghan watched her dad as the little girl named Lindy began to introduce everyone to him. He smiled at her, and bent down to hug her. " Well, hello Lindy. That's a very pretty name." He said smiling. Then he turned to Kelsey, " She's not a bother ma'am. I like to see when children aren't very shy, will do them good when they get older." He said very calmly with a brilliant smile. Meyghan wondered what her father was thinking as he continued to gaze at the beautiful woman. Meyghan didn't worry about it though. She knew that her father had been lonely. He had, after all, raised her and her brother all by himself, and he deserved a companion.
Meyghan listened as Gary asked her brother what type of pet he wanted. Meyghan walked over to the two, " He'd take them all if Dad would let him. Hopefully he won't give in to him on that." Meyghan said laughing as she said the last part.

„Pygmy Puff? What is a pygmy... oh!“ Kelsey exlaimed as Meyghan pulled out a purple ball of fur, „It’s adorable! Could I hold it for a moment? If you don’t mind that is? You can try and see if MeyMey would get along with some kitten now.“ „I thought you looked somewhat familiar! I’m a year below you in Ravenclaw,“ Gary exclaimed happily looking at the Pygmy Puff and Meyghan in turn with a happy smile, „I’m a wizard. Obviously. Muggle-born.“ „One of our grand-mothers is a witch. Doesn’t that count in whether you are classified as a muggle-born or something else wizards and witches are classified?“ Janey asked from where she was making Gary shake his head: „Nope. Both parents have to be purebloods to be a pureblood. One a pure-blood the other a muggle to be a half-blood. I’m most definitaly a muggle-born.“
„It was quite a shock when an owl flew in from the kitchen windows,“ Kelsey admitted with a small smile as she turned her head to look at Felton Gallagher, „What about you? Did you know about the wizarding world before Meyghan got her acceptance letter? I mean are a you, what was it, pureblood? Cleveland, would you mind if I call you Cleveland, do you go to Hogwarts too?“ Kelsey smiled at Felton with the small tell-tale blush still visible at her neck: „I’m no ma’am. Just Kelsey.“
Kelsey watched with a smile as Lindy took off speeding towards Cleveland and getting into an exited conversation about her. Most likely about the animals around because of Lindy’s rather energetic gestures around and picking up an animal here or there. A soft smily rose to Kelsey’s lips as she watched her children. They had grown up nicely even when she had been the only one raising them. It wasn’t always easy and they weren’t rich, but they loved each other. And the children hadn’t been any trouble. At least not much trouble.
Gary looked up with a smile as Meyghan approached him while Lindy had dragged cleveland to watch at some animals: „But the animals are great. I don’t understand how anyone can turn away from such cute faces. Mom always laughs that one day my home will be so filled with animals that it will be hard for me to fit in there.“

Meyghan handed Kelsey the little ball of purple fluff. " I'm not sure how she will react, but sure you can hold her." She said. Meyghan was glad to see that she wasn't the only one to think that the little ball of fur was adorable. " If I had known she was in my pocket, I would have put her on my shoulder. I'm surprised that the sound of the kittens didn't startle her, she must have been asleep." Meyghan said as if she was thinking to herself. Then suddenly Gary mentioned that he was one of her fellow house mates, just a year younger. " So that's why I seemed so familiar to you, and you to me. We've seen each other around school. That is so cool." Meyghan exclamed with a little excitement. Then she realized that she had gotten so loud. She turned back around to check on MeyMey. The little purple fluff was still sleeping. Meyghan was afraid that she had woke her little angel, as she sometimes called MeyMey.
Meyghan heard Kelsey ask her dad about their family background and wondered if he would tell her the truth. She waited for his answer before she said anymore.
Felton looked at the beautiful woman, and thought a moment about his reply. You could tell what he was thinking by the look on his face,Would she be afraid of us if she found out that we are pureblood? The thought was easy for his two children to read. Meyghan decided to say something to her dad. " Dad, don't be rude. You've always taught Cleve and I that if we are asked a question, we should answer it as truthfully as we can. We know about their bloodline, and Kelsey has asked you about ours. I think she deserves an answer." Meyghan knew that her father might get a little upset with her, but there were times when he just needed her or Cleve to get behind him and give him a little push. " We, my lady, are purebloods." Felton finally said in the softest voice he could muster up. He felt somewhat embarrassed when Kelsey had told him that she wasn't a ma'am. Felton had done that out of politeness, for he was a very kind gentleman.
Cleveland turned to look at Kelsey when she asked him a question. " I go to Durmstrang. It's a school of magic like Hogwarts, but in a different location. We do study the dark arts a little more, but only to get a better understanding of them. We have all the comforts that Hogwarts does, as well. And you may call me Cleve if you would like, everyone else does." Cleveland said trying to sound so grown up, even though he was rolling on the floor with a puppy.
Meyghan thought about putting MeyMey down with a cute little black kitten that wasn't much bigger than the little fluff ball. She wondered if the two would get along at all.

Kelsey accepted the Pygmy Puff raising it up to her face with a wide smile adorning her face. „She’s completely adorable! Does she do any trouble?“ Kelsey asked Meyghan with a bright smile feeling a bit surprised at Meyghan’s comment to her father. A moment later felton answered her question however stating they were purebloods. Kelsey smiled at Felton happily: „Purebloods? I’m sure it’s interesting. Being surrounded by magic and enchantments and wizards all the time. It probably isn’t as exiting when you’re a wizard yourself, but I was absolutely charmed of the whole wizarding world when we saw Diagon Alley.“ Kelsey’s eyes turned to dreaming as she stared off into space: „I guess every little girl sometimes dreams of dragons and wizards and witches and magic in the world. Finding out that all of it actually existed was. I don’t even know the proper word for it. It was amazing. Breath-taking.“ Kelsey laughed softly: „And I certainly haven’t been called a ’lady’ for a long time.“
Janey and Shirley laughed at the dreaming look on their mothers face. “Mom, you have a full grown wizard right at your side. All you still need is a dragon he can to save you from! You don't have to dream about fairy-tales anymore - just tackle the guy next you and you have them,” Janey shouted with laughter in her voice causing Kelsey to blush. “At moments like these I sometimes wonder why I had children,” Kelsey told Felton while sending a glare at Janey, “I adore them with all my heart and soul, but they can say the most inappropriate things sometimes. I hope you pardon them.” Kelsey handed MeyMey back to Meyghan guessing that she perhaps didn’t want some stranger to hold onto her pet for too long.
“Durmstrang? I’ve always wondered about that. Do they have 7 years of school there too just like in Hogwarts?” Gary asked curiously from Cleve having always wondered about other magical schools as well, “For some reason I have always thought that Durmstrang wasn’t quite as comfortable. But falling through some step in Hogwarts isn’t that comfortable either. Gary watched as a small brown puppy patted it’s way over to Cleve and climbed onto his stomach as he was rolling around with some other pup. “They like you,” Gary commented as Lindy returned to the same white-brown lop-eared dog she had been playing before, “You’re good with animals. Do you have a yard too where the dog could run?”

Meyghan watched as her dad and Kelsey talked. She didn't really want to listen but couldn't help herself. " Don't worry about what the children say. Meyghan and Cleve can say some of the most awkward things at times too." Her dad said smiling at Kelsey. Meyghan hadn't seen her dad react this way around a woman in a long time. It was almost making her happy. Meyghan knew that her dad was lonely, all he did was spend time with her and Cleve and when they were in school, it left him all alone, with the exception of the house elf.
Felton was always polite when in the presence of women and children. It was his way of being a gentleman. He smiled as Kelsey stated that she hadn't been called a lady in a long time. " Well, ma'am. That just shows the disrespect some have for such a hard working mother such as yourself." Meyghan wasn't sure what her father was thinking but she could see in her dad's eyes that he might want to get to know Kelsey a little better. Maybe it would do the job if Meyghan suggested that Kelsey and her family join them for dinner, since they were going out for dinner anyway. Maybe Kelsey knew a good place they could all go.
Meyghan took MeyMey back when Kelsey handed the little purple fluff ball back. She decided to let MeyMey play on the floor with the cute little black kitten. Cleve was playing with a puppy, and Meyghan over heard Gary talking to him. " We go a full seven years as well. But we don't have as many tests as Hogwarts requires." Cleve answered very politely. That shocked Meyghan. Cleve was never polite to anyone.
Meyghan continued to watch the kitten as it and MeyMey played together. This amused Meyghan, she had hoped that the two would get along. She knew that if her dad let her have the kitten then it would have to stay at home with her dad until breaks. Maybe he would be okay with that. " Dad, look. MeyMey and the kitten are getting along. It would be nice for her to have a play mate when I bring her home for breaks." Meyghan said still thinking about the dinner thing. Then she picked MeyMey up for a moment, and asked her dad if she could speak with him privately. She wanted to discuss the dinner situation. " Cleve stay in here and play with the animals. Your sister and I are going to step out side for a moment." Felton said as he and his daughter began to walk into the other area.

((See you had nothing the worry about. The post is good. I hope you don't mind me controlling Cleve a bit, but your charries left the room. If you do just tell me and I'll modify. Feel free to enter the room whenever and I figured Kelsey's birthday would be nice enough occasion to go out. And check your PM's too.)) “Thank you. The kids have been wonderful,”Kelsey’s eyes traveled to the kids who all smiled back at her,“And once again thank you for the nice words.” “They do seem to get along and this particular cat shouldn’t be growing much so if you can assure me once again that the kitten will be well cared for even during the school-year then you can have it,”Gary shouted over towards Meyghan having heard her last words before his full attention returned to Cleve and his answer. “Less tests!” Gary yelped out loudly at Cleve’e answer,“You have less tests? Why do you have less tests? I want to have less tests! Don’t get me wrong here. I don’t mind most of the subjects and I don’t mind studying either as I want to become a healer just like mom’s a doctor but less tests! I hate tests!” Gary’s loud tirade was stopped as Jany had rolled over and tugged at Gary’s hair. “Well, yes, the head is already moving. And no knowledge fell out while it moved backwards. Don’t worry little brother, you deserve all the tests you have,”Janey said with a smirk while Gary poked his tongue out towards her while his eyes followed Felton and Meyghan as they stepped out of the room once again. Kelsey watched with only half a mind as Felton stepped out of the room with her daughter. She was a bit curious, but would have never asked what they would discuss. They seemed nice. She had rarely met a man who interested her more than just a pleasant conversation partner and even though she didn’t look that bad she didn’t go to many dates. At first she had been busy with raising the kids and trying to work at the same time. Things had calmed down now, but Kelsey still hardly ever went on dates. But for some reason Felton made her feel young and unsure of herself again. Like a schoolgirl in front of a first crush. “Oh, Lindy, you haven’t told me how aerobic class went yet!”Janey stated loudly and Lindy looked up from where she was with a proud smile. “I got forward to the city competition!” Lindy stated proudly, pulling herself up to stand of her hands for a moment, made a quick somersault and a cartwheel. “COOL!”Came the statement from Janey before she pouted while sitting up,“I can’t believe I can’t still do a cartwheel.” “Don’t worry I can’t do it either. It’s just Lindy mom and Gary who can bend their bodies and ignore how normal people stay. Not on their hands but on their feet,”came the response from Shirleyas Gary laughed and made a cartwheel. “How do you do that?”came the curious questions form Cleve as Kelsey stood up while brushing he bottom of her pants and smiling at Cleve calmly. “It’s not hard at all really. Come, I’ll show you,” Kelsey said calmly and took in the required position. Showing Cleve how to position the hands and legs Kelsey pulled herself off doing a bit shaky cartwheel. But it was most certainly a cartwheel. “Go mom!”Shirley shouted while everybody clapped. Janey even let out a loud whistle as Kelsey tugged her shirt back over her bare stomach and made a joking bow. “Your head-ache over now?”Shirley asked with a smile still displayed on her mouth. Kelsey sighed and rubbed her temples tiredly: “No, it’s still throbbing a bit. Nothing bad however,”Kelsey looked up and threw an arm around Gary’s shoulder,”You, my dear boy, have to grow up so you could use the whatever it was. Charm or spell? On me when I have a headache.” Gary looked at her mom sadly while hugging her back:”I will. But I can’t use magic outside Hogwarts just yet. Are you sure you are up to going out tonight?” “Of course I am. How else are we going to celebrate my birthday? It only comes around once a year after all! We decided to go out, have fun and meet some nice people,”Kelsey argued while smiling at Cleve over Gary’s shoulder as he stared at her thoughtfully with a little frown on his face. “Are we nice people? Me and Meyghan and father? You have met us so are we nice people?”Cleve finally asked quietly while gazing at Kelsey steadily. “Of course you are. You are absolutely wonderful and so are your sister and father, so see we already have met nice people today,”Kelsey said as she let go of Gary’s shoulder and stepped up to Cleve,”Have you found anyone you like yet? Think some of these cuties could be that special friend?” Kelsey asked Cleve with a smile as she crouched to pet one of the small dogs who climbed up leaning its front paws on her leg.

While Meyghan and her father discussed dinner options for the evening, Meyghan overheard parts of the conversation going on inside the room that they had just walked out of. Meyghan and her dad hadn't walked far away from the door, in case Cleveland came looking for them. Meyghan overheard someone mention that today was Kelsey's birthday. That's the perfect reason for dad to ask them to join us. She thought to herself. Then she begin to speak to her father again. "See dad, it's Kelsey's birthday. Isn't that a good enough reason to ask them to join us. And I don't think Cleveland has noticed yet, but I have seen the way you smile at Kelsey, and the way you look at her too, I know you want to get to know her better, and to be honest I would like to get to know her family better too. And having them to join us for dinner would be a great opportunity for us to get to know them better, and the same for them to get to know us better." Meyghan said. She hadn't seen her dad act as happy in a long time, and liked the way he was acting right now.
Meyghan stared at her dad for a moment with huge sad puppy dog eyes, knowing that her dad couldn't resist it then. It was easy to tell that Felton was thinking about it. He has a somewhat dazed look on his face. Felton knew that his daughter was telling the truth, but wondered how she had become so wise all of a sudden. He did want to get to know them better, but he was unsure of how Cleveland would feel about it. "Meyghan, we have to think of what your brother thinks about this before I make such a large step. I mean he is part of this family, and what he thinks does matter." Felton said calmly.
Suddenly Felton overheard Cleveland speak, so he decided to listen. He heard Cleveland asking Kelsey if she considered him and Meyghan and his dad good people. Felton smiled when Cleveland asked such a question, and then smiled again when he heard Kelsey say that they were. Felton also heard one of the girls asking her mom about her headache. He then heard Kelsey’s reply and her comment to Gary.
The comment about a charm to relieve a headache got Felton to thinking. He could remember learning one at one time, but couldn’t remember it completely. He stood there thinking for quiet a few moments trying to remember it. When suddenly, it came to him. I wonder if I can still do the incantation nonverbally and it work. Oh well I think I’ll just ask her just in case. Just have to remember that it’s Remedium Capiadiflictatio. Felton thought to himself. Felton wanted to be polite and ask Kelsey if she minded that he relieve her headache with a charm. Then Felton turned back to Meyghan, “ Are you going to get the cute little black kitten that Mey Mey has been playing so well with?” He asked her. He knew that she wanted the kitten but was worried about it being taken care of while she was gone. “ Don’t worry, I wouldn’t mind taking care of it while you and Mey Mey are away at Hogwart’s.” He said reassuring that the kitten would be cared for. Meyghan answered her dad quickly. “ Yes, I would like to get the kitten!” She said excitedly. Meyghan couldn’t wait to go tell Kelsey that she would take the kitten home. This also gave Felton the chance to ask Kelsey about her headache, and dinner.
The two reentered the room, and Felton walked over to Kelsey. “ We overheard parts of the conversation in here, and I heard that you have a headache, would you like me to relieve it? There’s a simple charm to do it. Wouldn’t take but a minute.” He said smiling as he slowly pulled out his wand. “Would you and your family like to join us for dinner tonight, as well. Meyghan and I also overheard that it was your birthday, and We would enjoy for you to join us. All of you of course. Anywhere you want to go, and we’ll celebrate, and get to know one another better.” He said smilingly.
Meyghan looked over at Kelsey after her dad was finished talking, and said softly, “ I think I would like to take the kitten home. Dad said he would take care of her and what ever pet Cleve gets while we’re away at school.” Meyghan had been trying to think of a name for the little kitten, but still had no luck yet. Then Meyghan turned around at Cleveland, “ Have you decided yet? I’m getting hungry.” She snapped at her brother.

The door opened once again as Meyghan and Felton entered the room. Felton walked straight to Kelsey telling they had over-heard parts of the conversations. “Ahahh – eavesdropping!”Janey commented under her nose so only Gary heard her. Gary let a snort of laughter escape him as he and Janey exchanged a smiling glance but Felton’s next words calmed them. Kelsey stared up at Felton in a bit of a shock for a moment. Had he really offered to make her head-ache go away? Kelsey stared at him and blinked, not really believing her ears. Sure her son was a wizard, but in everyday life it was still hard to realize how many things could be solved with magic. “Really? Why that would be good,”Kelsey placed the puppy who had been trying to climb into her lap on the ground gently and stood up while smiling,”I’d apprieciate it, if it wouldn’t bother you in any way.” Kelsey blinked realizing that she didn’t have a clue what to do. “Uh, what exactly do I have to do? Should the charm hit the back of my head? Or my forehead or... well,”Kelsey stared at Felton feeling a bit helpless not knowing what to do as a small blush crept up her neck. Kelsey wasn’t afraid of the man and she wouldn’t hesitate at all whether or not let him use the charm to get rid of the dull throbbing in her head. But she just did not know what to do. Gary looked thoughtfully at Felton. They were purebloods and looked rather nice. Gary didn’t think for a second that they might be Death Eaters but letting a stranger use a charm on his mother was still a bit alarming for Gary. His eyes drilled into Felton’s profile before Gary looked at Cleve and Meyghan too. He rather liked all of them, so Gary let a small smile slip across his lips:”Relax mom. You don’t have to do anything really. Mr.Gallagher will only cast the charm.” Kelsey turned her head slightly sending a soft smile at Gary as her blush retreated as she took a moment to look at both Meyghan and Cleve so they wouldn’t feel left to the side either:”That’s good. About dinner you will have to ask my children.” “I want to go with them!”came a happy shout from Lindy as she bounded to her feet and next to stand at Felton’s side where she trustingly looked up at the man before telling in half-whisper,”I like you. You are tall and can see that far! Can you make a cartwheel too? I can and Gary can and mom can do one too, but Janey and Shirley can’t!” Shirley laughed and as she was passing to get her light jacket hugged Lindy from behind:”Looks like you have broke one more heart, mr.Gallagher. What do you all think about going to that Latin place?” “Sure, the Latin place sounds great. If none of you object,”Janey agreed with laughter sounding from her voice,”It serves Italian food and it’s good. Cosy. Get my jacket too, will you Shirley? Are you taking the kitty, Meyghan? You don’t mind if I call you Meyghan do you? Gary, I’ll start putting away the kittens.” Janey called for the kittens picking a few of them up before disappearing behind one of the doors leading to the kittens cages. “and the Latin places allows animals in too,”Gary voiced his agreement,”Thanks, Janey! Pick out who you want and I’ll start putting away the dogs too. Meyghan, Shirley will show you where you can choose a ribbon for the kitten as it’s on house. You can get a few toys there too.” Gary picked up two pups and turned towards Cleve while enthusiastically talking to him about the different dogs while they disappeared behind the door next to the one Janey had gone in from. All the animals would have to be safely put away before Gary could lock down the building and they could get on their way to wherever they were going in the end. ((Tell me if it bugs you that I godmode Cleveland. Feel free to godmode Janey nad Shirley and Lindy by the way.))

Felton knew that it would be a little suspicious for a pureblood wizard stranger to offer the use of a charm to heal a muggle, so Felton wanted to reassure them that he meant Kelsey or any of them any harm. He knew that one way to do this would be to explain how the charm was done and then perform it on one of his own children first, while explaining the details of what the charm would appear like. He stood staring at the ceiling for a moment as if in a trance of some type, and the expression on his face clearly showed that he was only in deep thought about something. He lowered his head back down looking over at Meyghan. He didn't figure that Meyghan would mind him using her as the demonstration help, so he didn't bother to ask her until he had already offered to show the charm and had volunterred her before she could refuse. " I can show you what it will do, I'm sure Meyghan won't mind letting me perform the charm on her. She usually enjoys. He told everyone as he looked around. Meyghan looked over at her father and shrugged. " Sure dad, I have a touch of a headache anyway. My stomach won't quit growling though, it won't bother you will it?" Felton shook his head, telling his daughter that the noise from her stomach wouldn't bother him.
Felton looked relieved that Meyghan had agreed to allow him to do the charm. He carefully pulled his wand from his left inside jacket pocket. He then looked around at tall the eyes watching him. " I'll explain every move I make. Gary, if you would like, you can come closer and watch. I don't think they have taught you this one in school yet." Felton knew that all young wizards and witches loved watching the charms being performed, but also enjoyed learning them as well. Felton then started to describe the movements of the wand, as he performed them slowly himself. " First, circle your wand in a counter clockwise motion and then flick it from top to bottom." Felton said. " That's the way that the professors will teach you to do it." Felton said confident that he would have helped someone learn it. " As you begin to flick the wand from the top to the bottom, say the incantation that goes to the charm." Felton said again very carefully. " Remedium Capiadiflictatio." Felton said as he flicked his wand once more to perform the charm on Meyghan. " You will know if the charm has worked right, because the charm will cause a light lilac hazy cloud around the other person's head, while it relieves the pains of the headache." He said carefully. Felton then turned to Kelsey, " Are you ready, It doesn't hurt, it only causes a slight tickling sensation." He said as he prepared to perform the charm on Kelsey. He watched as Kelsey nodded, letting him know that she was ready for the charm, and that she trusted him enough to allow him to do it. Felton took a little more time performing the charm on Kelsey, because he knew that she would be a bit nervous about it.
Meyghan was glad not only to have her headache gone, but to here Lindy shout that she wanted to join them for dinner. Meyghan giggled when Lindy spoke to Felton, and then laughed when Shirley had commented about Felton having another heart to break. Then she heard someone suggest a Latin resturaunt. Meyghan had never had Latin before, but tonight was a night for someone else to decide and for her to just follow along. " I've never tried Latin but I'm always up for trying new things." She said a little excited about it. Meyghan then turned toward the little kitten that was at her feet. She heard someone asking if she was going to take the kitten home. " I don't mind if you call me Meyghan, and yeah, I'm going to take the kitten home, I just can't seem to think of a name for her. What do you thing about Midnight Angel?" Meyghan said turning to Janey.
Meyghan bent down and picked up the little kitten, and gave it a quick hug. Then she followed Shirley to the area where the ribbons were kept. She took a moment to look back over her shoulder to see Cleve and Gary talking and toting puppies. Cleve seemed really attached to the one in his left arm, which, from where Meyghan was standing looked to be a chinese pug. Meyghan smiled, she knew her brother would take that one home, and find it a cute little chinese name, no matter if it was a boy or a girl.

Gary stepped forward quickly as he would have given a lot to see the charm and how it worked. Standing next to Felton Gary carefully observed the charm while repeating the movement without his wand. “A counter clock-wise motion and then flick form top to bottom. I think I got it, but what was the spell again?” Gary asked curiously, repeating it over. “Remedium Capiadiflictatio.” Nodding and muttering the charm to himself Gary rushed to the able in the front room almost running into Shirley and Meyghan and scribbled the charm down quickly so to not forget it.
Kelsey stared at the wand pointed towards her. She wasn’t exactly scared, but she was a bit anxious about a magical spell being cast at her. “It doesn't hurt, it only causes a slight tickling sensation.” Felton said and Kelsey cried out in alarm. A moment later the spell was already being cast and Felton was right. It did tickle. Kelsey held onto her sides as laughter escaped her mouth. She had always been extremely ticklish and it was a fact that her children often liked to take advantage of. Kelsey was glad when the spell ended but she couldn’t stop laughing for a little while even after the spell was lifted from her.
“Mom is very ticklish so I think that caused this reaction as You did say that the spell would cause a tickling sensation,”Kelsey heard Janey explaining to the others with laughter sounding from her own voice. Evidently everybody had gathered back into the room upon hearing her laughing. Finally Kelsey managed to gain control over her laughter again as she straightened up again with a broad smile on her smile that she directed at Felton. “Thank you VERY much. The headache is completely gone. I don’t know how to thank you enough for it,” Kelsey said sincerely while looking around at everybody who were already ready. “So we decided on Latin restaurant? They basically offer Italian food with a few rather originally dishes added to the menu,”Kelsey explained as everybody moved out the pound and Gary locked the door behind them.
Kelsey placed an arm around Janey’s shoulders friendlily as the group moved down the streets with Shirley and Cleve running with the dog he had chosen. Lindy had demanded the right to walk next to Felton. Probably because she had never gotten a chance to get to know her real father and didn’t have any real male figure to look up to as she was brought up. She seemed to be drawn to Felton because that and because of the fact that the man might have looked extremely tall to Lindy’s own small form. Janey and Kelsey herself kept up most of the conversation as they discussed the choice of names for Meyghan’s kitten. Midnight Angel seemed to be liked by everyone even, even though Janey remarked that it sounded a bit like the name of a member of a motorbikers gang.
In a matter of no time they reached the restaurant and settled down at a table with small problems due to there being so many people. But they managed nicely and fitted themselves around a corner-table while Gary and Shirley brought themselves two extra chairs while the others fit on the couch near the window. With an easy conversations being held up while everybody waited for the foods they had ordered and even during lunch light teasing was thrown back and forth with neither Gary or his sisters making any difference in who they teased. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice too with flower-pots, candles standing on all tables to be lighted at wish. The atmosphere was welcoming and warm. Lindy finally managed to drag Cleve off with her and everybody else shifted themselves a bit to sit more comfortably as the conversation continued as merrily as before. Until Kelsey suddenly burst out laughing. Chuckling softly at the back of her throat Kelsey pointed everyone to look towards the dance-floor the small restaurant had. Lindy had dragged Cleve over there and Cleve was now obviously sulking while Lindy was very energetically trying to convince him to dance with her.
“Well, Lindy had one good idea,”Shirley concluded as she had managed to gain control of the rather comical view. “She did. Do you want to dance too, Meyghan?”Gary asked politely turning towards Meyghan just as a young guy approached the table asking Shirley to dance while Janey bounced over to a few friends sitting at an other table. Laughter and easing was obviously taking place there as Janey stopped at the table with the target of the teasing obviously being one guy. He didn’t seem to mind very much as he stood, swept Janey into a low twirl and directed her over to the dance-floor with himself. All of Gary’s sisters looked good so they never had any problems finding dates and dance-partners. So this going of things didn’t surprise Gary at all. It didn’t surprise Kelsey either as she was watching all the kids with a soft smile displayed on her features.

Meyghan quickly stepped to the side as Gary came running toward her and Shirley trying to get to the table. The sound of Kelsey’s laughter had made Meyghan giggle as well. “ I’m so sorry, but I have never been able to stop from laughing when someone else is.” She said as she tried to make her self stop.
Meyghan walked with the others as they all made their way down the streets to the restaurant. She was somewhat anxious to try the food that the others had all been talking about. She gently petted the kitten’s head while she listened to the others discuss the ideas she had for the kitten’s name. She was still trying to decide, and planned on taking everyone’s opinions into thought.
Meyghan noticed how quiet her father was on the way to dinner, and it made her wonder if something was wrong. She soon forgot about this as they made their way into the restaurant, and to the table that they had all selected. She, then, began to relax in the soft atmosphere of the restaurant. She didn’t even seem to mind that her father had been so quiet, before they got here. Suddenly Meyghan heard a voice speak her name, and came out of the dazed like state that she had been in. It took a moment for her mind to realize what she had just been asked, but when she finally realized that Gary had been asking her if she would like to dance, she nodded. “ Sure, I would love to dance.” She said gladly.
Felton did know that he had been unusually quiet up until now. He had been busy paying attention to Kelsey’s amazing features. He couldn’t help but to feel drawn to her, as if there was something pulling his eyes toward her at all times. He enjoyed watching her as she watched the children. Suddenly, he realized that he should ask her to dance since it was after all her birthday. Felton was a little unsure of himself. It had been years since he had asked anyone other than his mother and Meyghan to dance with him. He smiled at Kelsey, and slid out of the booth that they were sitting in. Standing in front of her, he finally decided to speak. “ You look absolutely ravishing in this light, and it is your birthday, so why should the children be the only ones having any fun.” He said smiling as he extended his hand for her to take, “ Madame, would you grant me the honor and pleasure of this next dance?” Felton hoped that Kelsey would agree to the dance and maybe one or two more after it.

With all his sisters already gone Gary smiled gladly at Meyghan taking her hand as they walked to the dance-floor. His mother had taught they all to dance when they were old enough. Kelsey had always said that dancing is a vital part of life so Gary could dance pretty well. At least he shouldn’t step on Meyghan’s feet. “I actually do know how to dance so don’t worry about your toes,” Gary smiled at Meyghan as they reached a free space on the dance floor and Gary turned to face Meyghan as they started to dance.
Kelsey was a bit nervous as she and Felton Gallgher had been left alone again. First at the pound now here. Were her kids scheming against her? Kelsey didn’t know how to ac with someone obviously from a higher class who was such a gentleman. She felt nervous and clumsy and tongue-tied. She was a grown woman and a mother! She shouldn’t be feeling this way! Kelsey had just about gotten her overflown hormones under control when Feltons one comment made all her work usless. Her cheeks flushing red Kelsey tried to smile. “I haven’t danced for ages. Not after teaching the kids to dance and” Kelsey stopped the sentence. She had gone to dance very often with her gone husband but Kelsey didn’t trust herself near Felton. “I don’t know if I’m exactly up for it. I’m sure you have danced with a lot of better partners.” But despite her words Kelsey took Felton’s hand. Almost as if her body wasn’t obeying her mind. Standing Kelsey gave Felton a shy smile with a slight blush still visible on her cheeks. Stepping forward Kelsey was a bit surprised. She had been feeling so good that she hadn’t even noticed that she only came up to Felton’s chin. Suddenly feeling unbelievably shy and small Kelsey looked down a bit.
Making rather pointless small-talk Gary suddenly smiled looking over Meyghan’s shoulder. “Look,” came Janey’s voice quietly as she nodded towards something over Meyghan’s shoulder before she moved away with her partner. Looking over Meyghan’s shoulder Gary twirled them so Meyghan could see as well without having to turn her head 180 degrees. “Looks like older folks decided to dance too.” Looking at her mother and Felton Gary silently decided that they didn’t look half that bad together. Smiling thoughtfully Gary tried to decide how it made him feel. His mom looked happy and young. But she was dancing with some other man. But then again Gary’s mother had been a widower for so long. It was time for her to move on. “My mother has had about 2 or 3 dates since my father passed away 12 years ago. But I think she likes your father. I have rarely before seen her blush with any male company for years!” Gary told Meyghan quietly as he looked at her hoping she would answer as well. Was Felton a free man or still mourning after Meyghan’s mom unless they had just gotten a divorce. Would he try to make Kelsey happy or would he perhaps hurt Gary’s mom. Even if it was unintentional?

Meyghan smiled as Gary reassured her that he wouldn't step on her toes. She hadn't been worried about it at all. She was somewhat glad to have someone to dance with.Meyghan was so used to sitting at the table watching the others dance, that it had sort of shocked her that Gary even thought to ask her if she had wanted to dance. Meyghan loved dancing, even if she never had a partner to dance with.
Felton wasn't sure if he had been making too much of an effort to show Kelsey that he liked her and would like to get to know her and her whole family better. It had been so long since he had dated, or even shown an interest in someone. Meyghan and Cleveland's mother had been the last woman in his life as far as a relationship had been considered. He had devoted all of his time to the children. He was trying to be a gentleman but he didn't want to over step his boundaries, or make Kelsey feel that she was beneath him. He thought she was a wonderful woman, and had wonderful children.
Felton had never been one to care what class a person thought they came from. No one person was any better than the other, even if one did have more money. Money didn't always make the world go around, and Felton knew this. As he looked around at all of the children, noticing how much fun they were all having together, he began to wonder what it would be like to have more than just Meyghan and Cleveland in the house. Those two were always too quiet for Felton's pleasure. He had loved when they were little and were always making noise but now, they had gotten quieter.
" I haven't danced in years myself, so I am sure it would be you who has probably had better partners." Felton said smiling at Kelsey, reassuring her that he didn't care how well she danced. He noticed when Kelsey lowered her head. " What seems to be bothering you? You're very pretty and shouldn't lower your head. You have nothing to worry about." He said trying to make her feel better.
Meyghan followed Gary's lead the whole time the two shared the dance, and when Gary twirled her around to see what he was smiling at, she couldn't help but to giggle. " Wow, I didn't know Dad could still dance. I can't remember the last time I saw him dance." She said still giggling about it. Meyghan knew that the look in her father's eye as he looked at Kelsey meant that he saw something in her, and that there was a chance that he really liked her. Meyghan was still a little concerned about it though. Her father had not dated since her mom passed away. Meyghan only wanted her father to be happy, and hoped that if he really liked Kelsey, tat he would be able to express that feeling in time. " My dad hasn't dated at all since my mom died about 12 years ago. It's really nice to see him smiling the way he is. I think it means that he really likes your mom." She said smiling at Gary, hoping that if he was worried about it, that maybe they could talk. She was also trying not to show that she was a bit worried too.
((sorry if it seems a bit forced. Wanted to get a reply up.. and it's really not worthy, but it's all I could come up with))
