Claira and her oldest friend, Mellisa Alexander, a 15 year old Muggle who loves to take care of Claira, walked down the busy street toward the London Zoo. Claira bounced with excitment, never had she gone to the zoo, well once when she was one, but she had no memory of that. Mellisa took hold of Claira's hand and led her in through the front gate and entered the zoo.
They walked about, looking at the many different animals. Lions the size of people, mini bears that slept in the tallest branches of the trees, even tigers that growled at the people walking by. Claira's eyes were wide as she watched the animals. They walked through the aviary, people feeding the many different coloured birds fruit juice in small paper cups. Claira giggled as two birds fought over her cup of fruit juice. After the Aviary they walked over to the Elephants. They stood as tall as buildings, their white tusks gleaming in the sun shine. After a few hours, Claira began to tire out from the hot sun and all the walking, so Mellisa led the small girl towards the covered eating area.
Music played from the speakers as Claira and her baby sitter ate cotton candy and snow cones. She couldn't help wondering if the many people walking past them were witches and wizards that once attended Hogwarts or did or were going to like Claira was two months from now. She sighed and tore off a large piece of blue cotton candy and shoved it into her mouth, letting the soft candy melt on her tongue. She looked at Mellisa. Her and her parents hadn't told the 15 year old, worried that she would think they were crazy. Claira itched to tell her older friend, but knew she shouldn't. She looked up at the blue sky, white cotton looking clouds dotted the sky, the sun casting bright rays on everything. She took another bite of cotton candy, her tongue moving the melting cotton around in her mouth.
