OOC: Sorry, long time no post. Volleyball tryouts are turning out to be quite hard, and they push you like crazy.

Elle smiled simpathetically, "Yes, I have heard a lot of devastating news about Diagon Alley. Everyone was being attacked at random, and most of the injured were innocent civilians."
When Thomas mentioned Lark, Elle's lips tightened just the slightest bit. She hadn't forgotten that Hogwarts Express incident. Fiona really was a little...well, Elle couldn't say the word. And she was willing to bet that once she left, Fiona told the others her little version of what had created their animosity. And that Lark girl had stuck up for Fiona, when Elle was clearly the righteous one in that situation. As least Thomas and Hanac didn't take a side, Elle thought, but they did seem like they leaned a little in Fiona's favor.
"Well," she said, a bit stiffly, "I hope that she is well."
Elle knew exactly how Thomas felt. At first, both her parents were very curious about the boarding school, Hogwarts, that she had been accepted into. They wanted to know all about it--so much that Elle had spent over two hours describing every little detail. And every summer, when she went home, they would ask her to "perform magic tricks", which she repeatedly stated was illegal since she was underage. Then, they said that when she turned seventeen they would be eager to have a magic show.
"Yeah, my parents are like that about Hogwarts too," Elle said, "But my little sister has no idea. She was adopted, so she doesn't really have a chance of being magical, you know. She just thinks I was super smart and got accepted into boarding school. I mostly just let her think that, but she gets rather annoying when I accidentally let a word, like 'muggle', slip out of my mouth. Then she starts asking what it is. She is quite a nosy little eight year old."
