It was 11:45 on a Saturday night. The moon was full and there was a light fog hovering over the ground. Cole walked across an open feild with a black cloak on and his hood up so you couldn't see his face. He walked with his hands holding each others wrists and his baggy cloak covering them. He walked to the middle of the feild with one thing on his mind, The Chosen. They had decided to induct a new member, Fiona, and he had told them all to meet here to initiate her. Cole had also told Pyro to bring the book that they had blackmailed a girl for to him tonight. The book had many powerful spells that would help Cole in his quest for more power.
Cole stopped in front of a pile of sticks. Pulling out his wand he pointed it at the sticks and said "Incendio" Flames flew out of his wand and caught the sticks on fire. Cole put his wand back in his pocket and stood waiting. He had told them to meet him at 12 but most of them usually arrived early. Cole stared into the flames of the fire as he waited. He thought about the night they had blackmailed for the book. They had met the girl and had pictures of her using an illegal golem in school. That's how they got it. Cole smiled as he thought about how close the Chosen had gotten in only a small amount of time. Cole heard someone coming and he pulled out his wand. "State your name." he said holding it out in front of him.

Fiona took a deep breath before she quietly left the dark manor. She was so nervous. She'd never given herself so completely to anything, but now she wanted to prove to herself that she could be the dark daughter her father had always wanted. Fiona pulled her black cloak tight around her as she covered her bright red hair with the hood. She was leaving at a quarter before midnight, the time she was suppose to meet Cole and the other members of the Chosen. She liked to be early, especially to events of great importance.
Trudging through the grass, wet with dew, Fiona tried to clear her mind of all thoughts. She wanted to be prepared for the evening. She didn't know how she was being initiated or what she needed to do. She knew it was important to be ready and so Fiona cleared her mind. The fog that covered the ground seemed eerie in the light of the full moon. It was almost guiding her toward her final destination.
Fiona's feet moved steadily as she neared the middle of the field. She was sure this is where she was supposed to meet the others. She squinted through the darkness and saw a light in the distance. Speeding up, Fiona saw a small fire and someone standing near it. "State your name," a familiar voice exclaimed as she saw a glint of a wand in the person's hand. "Fiona O'Reilly," Fiona stated clearly and loudly. She gripped her wand under her cloak just in case it was someone she didn't intend on meeting.

Pyro flipped his black cloak over his shoulders and put the hood up. He checked the satchel laying on his bed to make sure the item inside it was secure. He smirked as he saw the black book, sitting comfortably in its pocket. It was amazing how such a Innocent looking book could hold so much power. One touch of naked skin against it's cover would sear the flesh. Pyro always made sure he was wearing gloves when handling the book. He slung the satchel across his back and tied it securely to him. Opening the window of his room he mounted his broom and flew off into the night.
The night was dark and Pyro could hide among the clouds. So he wasn't to concerned about any Muggles or Ministry officials spotting him. Pyro approached the field that Cole had specified and began to lower his altitude and sure enough, he spotted a fire burning. Pyro landed a short distance away, knowing that if he just dropped in Cole would probably hex him in surprise. Slinging his firebolt across his shoulders he walked over to the fire. It looked like two people had already shown up. "Pyro Blackfire." Pyro said as he got near, fully expecting Cole's question and answering before he could ask.
Pyro stepped into the light of the fire and removed his hood and looked at the girl. "I take it, this is the new member?" He said more than asked. He than turned to Cole and whispered. "I brought it." He said giving a slight tug on the satchel strap.

((Sorry for such a late reply...been away on vacation.))
Kori let her blond hair fly behind her as she walked at a quickened pace toward her destination. Her eyes pierced the night, and the bright glow of the moon made her sick. Her skin looked pale in the moonlight, and she was about to turn on her heel and head back to her house- not completely sure she wanted part in this childish game anymore. But her better side won and she continued walking. Her deep green cloak flew behind her as did her black skirt, showing her heels- she knew she shouldn't have worn them.
Her silver sheer scarf was around her neck and it gave her a ghastly look, she looked almost like a Goddess if it weren't for the look upon her face. The look would kill if it could, and she wasn't holding it back. The first initiation and she wasn't positive of what they were doing. All she knew it was Fiona O'Reilley who she had met briefly before in Hogsmeade. Other than that- Kori could probably care less. A smug smile crossed her lips as the field came into sight. She sped up her pace, and was nearly running before she reached the three figures.
"Sorry for my lateness...it was harder to get out than I had thought it would be." She breathed, taking her scarf off and winding it around her wrist. She tied it tightly and waited for Cole to give further instructions.

Cole heard Fiona's voice answer his question. Right when he was about to lower his wand he heard Pyro say he was there. Cole looked at Pyro and the strap with the book in it. "Good job. We will take care of that after the initiation." Cole said smirking. He had been waiting so long to get his hands on the book. He knew the curse on it that made it so flesh couldn't touch it but Cole how to get rid of it. Looking at Fiona he said "I hope you are ready tonight." Cole put his wand in his pocket and looked at Pyro. "Have you heard from Kori?" he asked. Just then Kori showed up. "No problem. You are still early, like always." Cole said smirking.
Cole looked around at the group and said "Everyone here is deserving and worthy. We know that we are here to initiate a new member. Now one last time all members speak concern if you have any about initiating Fiona." Cole looked around. He knew they wanted her in but he just needed to make sure.

Fiona stood in the darkness near the fire. Firelight was dancing off of her face though it was mostly shrouded in darkness. She had pulled her cloak tighter to will off the cooling temperature. The fire was enough to make light, but there was not much heat to it and Fiona found herself edging closer to the fires edge to ward off the chill that had begun to set in.
Fiona had arrived only seconds before the other members of the Chosen. She was curious to know what one of the members had brought. Cole seemed to be excited over the object and Fiona forced her curiosity away. She had to focus on the initiation. She wasn't sure what she was going to have to do and that made her nervous. She turned to Cole when he spoke to her. "I am ready," she said with strength. She knew that this moment was going to be the turning point in her life and she knew it would help her on the way to glory. There was no doubt about that.
Cole asked if anyone had any doubts about initiating her and Fiona held her breath. She didn't know the other members and she was worried that they wouldn't accept her into the group. She hid the worries from her face as she waited for their replies.

Kori looked at Fiona and let a small innocent smile cross her lips; "I don't know, Cole. She is a little young, don't you think?" Kori was playing with the girl. She had met her before, and she approved of her, but she wanted the girl to feel nervous if only a little. There were few doubts in Kori's mind about this initation, such as adding too many members to the Chosen, but none that she would utter aloud. Kori looked at Cole with a raised eyebrow.
"How do we know she won't back out of a task? Or let something slip to a higher authority? We need to trust only a few people, and I'm not sure if she's trustworthy. I say we give her a trial. We trust her with something important, a delivery maybe? And see if she succeeds. If she does, then she's in. If she doesn't, well, she's out." Kori's gaze had landed on Fiona again, a smirk playing on her lips.

Pyro nodded as Cole said they would deal with the book later. Pyro stepped back and fell in line and l watched the fire until Kori showed up. With the last member's arrival Cole started the initiation. Cole began by saying a few words and than asking if Pyro or Kori had any objections to it. Pyro grinned at her words.
Pyro leaned a bit closer to Kori and whispered so only she could hear. "You know? She is about as old as I am? Do you think me too young to handle anything we do?" He asked, he kept his tone light to show that he meant no offense by it. Pyro couldn't help but agree with Kori. They didn't know the girl that well. The girl could already go to the authorities, she did know their identities now. Luckily the chosen hadn't done anything too public and illegal.
"I must say that I agree with Kori. We must test her loyalty and trustworthiness before she can become a full fledged member."

Cole sat and listened to Kori's worries about Fiona. When Pyro leaned in and talked to Kori Cole put a smirk on his face. "As I am sure Pyro just told you, she is no younger than him." Cole said looking at Kori. As both of the member voiced their concern about Fiona not being loyal Cole could only stand their and listen. As they finished Cole looked angrily at the two of them. "There was a time when I didn't know you two very well and I trusted you with my secrets in the group did I not? I trust Fiona and that should be enough for the two of you. We need more members in this group. And as for an initiation do you honestly think I would have let her in without one?" Cole said in a angered tone.
Cole reached into his pockets and pulled out a pair of dragon hide gloves. Slipping them on he looked at Pyro. "Hand me the book." Cole said looking at him. He was sure that no one in the group new exactly what he was about to do.

Fiona stood near the fire. Her eyes had fallen on Kori. Fiona had only met her once in Hogsmeade, but a brief meeting it had been. Fiona inhaled sharply and held her breath. Kori had just voiced concerns about her. Fiona would never go to the authorities, not after what her father had taught her. She knew the side that she was on and would never go against them. She would never betray them.
It was then that her eyes fell on Pyro. He also had concerns about her. Fiona was about to accept her test and show them all when Cole spoke. She was honored that he backed her up, but there was something else in his voice. It was here that Fiona realized that her initiation was about to begin. She would be tested after all, at least she thought she was about to be tested. She watched as Cole pulled out Dragon Hid gloves. He wanted the object Pyro had brought. Fiona finally exhaled and then took another deep breath. Her curiosity increased as she waited for Cole to continue.

Kori leaned toward Pyro and said just as lightly as he did, "Yes, but you showed your loyalty." She then snapped to look at Cole as he began talking. She raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms.
"That was your fault. Not ours. Your fault for trusting us too soon. You should've thought things through, like we are now. It would have been much more...safe." She snapped back at him. Kori looked at Fiona and steadied her for a minute, "Your opinion on needing more members, however, I disagree with even more. Though we might be the only members who are actually, active I suppose you would say, right now- I don't think we need more members. Isn't this supposed to be a closed group, one that does 'evil' things. We can't very well do that, with half of the school in it, now can we?" Kori let her eyebrow rise and fall again. She had just interuppted Cole's beginning of the initation, and she didn't give.

Pyro listened quietly as Cole expressed his views. Pyro had to slightly agree with him. Than Kori spoke up in response to Cole. Pyro glanced at her, but than turned back to Cole as he asked for the book. Pyro reached into his pockets and withdrew his gloves and put them on. He knelt down and undid the clasp to the satchel strap and set it on the ground in front of him. He opened it and pulled out the cloth wrapped book.
Pyro stood with the book in his hands and made his way over to Cole. He carefully handed the book over and than backed away back to his spot. He picked up the satchel and tossed it over with his firebolt to wait until the end of the initiation. He watched Cole to see what he'd do with the book.

Cole looked Kori in eyes as she snapped at him about her being more safe. Instantly Cole pulled out his wand and pointed it right in Kori's face. "Do you think I didn't watch you two before I let you in. You think I didn't know as much as I could about you first just as I have done with Fiona? I let you in and I can just as easy take you out Kori. I started this and I am the leader. I asked if you wanted her in or not, I didn't ask for you lip. Now watch your mouth." Cole said lowering his wand. "And as for more members, we are a secret group but from what I have heard the Gryffindors are getting a pretty big club together. If something were to go down I would like to know I have an even amount of people in a fight rather than 12 on 3." Cole looked at Kori for a minute. He wasn't going to let her think that she was bigger than him. He needed to show the group he was the boss. When Pyro handed Cole the book Cole took a hold of it and said "Thank you Pyro." Cole set the book on a stump in front of him and took off his gloves. "Now this book is very powerful as three of us already know. There is only one problem." Cole said looking at Fiona. "If you touch this book with your skin it will burn he flesh right off your hands." Cole took out a bottle from his pocket and said "This is a potion that if put on your hands should make it so you can open it and get rid of the curse." Cole held the bottle out towards Fiona and said "Show us your loyalty and open the book."

Kori glared at Cole. And he finally said what she was looking for.
"Then take me out..." She told him shortly. Kori crossed her arms and raised her eyebrows at him. She wanted out. Kori had been trying to find a way to get out for awhile, and she didn't realise it would be that easy. A wind came and shifted her hair to the side a little. Making everything seem more dead quiet than it was, "I don't want part of a group such as this...especially if it's as weak as it appears." She added. Dix had been right, and Kori knew it. She just wouldn't admit it until recently. All this group was, was a wanna-be bigger than the Queens group, and Kori didn't want to be part of that.
Kori looked at Fiona, neither should she. It's an amateur group, Fiona should shoot for a higher group than what she was given.

Fiona watched quietly as Cole and Kori hashed it out. Kori was definitely against letting Fiona in the group, but Fiona knew that she didn't know her well enough. She was trustworthy and she knew what she was capable of. Cole disregarded Kori's concerns and talked about how he had watched Fiona to see if she would be able to be part of the group. Fiona felt honored that she had passed his test, but her heart jumped when he started to talk about the object Pyro had brought. Fiona's breathing became labored as he talked about the book burning the flesh off of the hands of anyone who tried to open it. Fiona eyed the book with curiosity. What was in the book that needed to be protected with such a spell?
Cole held out a bottle and Fiona took a deep breath before taking it. As she took the bottle Kori shocked her by her comment. Fiona quickly turned to look at the girl. She wanted out? How could she get out of such a club? There were rules and no doubt Cole had something prepared for such an event. Fiona glanced back at Cole to see his reaction. She figured he would be fuming about the whole situation. That one of his chosen members would want out, because it wasn't strong? 'Weak?' Fiona asked herself. She had never imagined The Chosen as a weak club before. She had always seen in as a sure way to fulfill her destiny and here Kori was saying it was weak. Fiona focused her attention on what Cole was saying.

Pyro cast a sideways glance at Kori as he was handing the book to Cole. What was she playing at? She was giving a fair amount of lip at the moment. Pyro glanced at Cole than back at Kori. A small hint of a smile played on his lips. This looked like it would end interestingly. Pyro handed the book off and than stepped aside to gain a better view of the struggle between Cole and Kori.
Finally, it seemed Kori decided to play her card and challenged Cole to remove her. Pyro was surprised by this. Pyro's hand slowly closed over his wand as he watched the proceedings with a new light. The look between Cole and Kori wasn't good and it could turn even more nasty at any moment. Pyro slipped his wand out of his pocket and held it close to his side.
Pyro smirked for Kori's words had a ring of truth to them. The group at the moment was weak and very short on members. Something Kori didn't realize is no group started of powerful and strong. Each group had its amateur beginning. It than took a lot of work between the members to make the group grow. At the moment Pyro's loyalty remained here for The Chosen. As long as it still remained beneficiary to him. Once he could gain no more from the group and it looked like the group would tumble, he would leave. The group was very advantages for the moment. One look at the book and the power it held within was proof enough for him. He stood off to the side of the conflict and watched to see what would happen.
