Kadan laughed. He wasn't sure if Flo was flirting with him or not, but he didn't mind if she was. Regardless, he took of in a half-sprint in case any of the girls were up to the challenge.

Terra grinned at the three as Flo and Kadan stood. The dog who had been pestering Flo had scampered away obligingly. The street was still very busy and the side-walks were crammed with all sorts of people. Most of them muggles, by the looks of things. Terra sighed and shook out her feet a little. She smiled at Kadan as he said last one there would be a blast-ended-skewert. Terra really had no intention of being a blast-ended-skewert today, but she didn't feel much like running either. Trying to decide what to do, she moved her legs so that she was actually doing something. Walking, more or less. Terra weaved her way in and out of the people all over the pavement, trying to see over the tall and trying to move around the round. She was terribly happy that she was neither of these, for she was normal height and slim. Terra laughed lightly at her odd sense of thinking, still moving toward the club. By now she was a good ten feet away and she could hear the music pounding loudly through the walls of the place. Stopping at the neatly polished door, Terra waited for the others to come.

Kadan continued towards the club, but lost the three girls in the crowd. Just as he neared the club door, he spotted Terra. "Hey, there you are," he shouted, for the music was playing so loudly that he wasn't sure she would hear him. "I guess we will just wait here for the others," he added, his voice muffled by the blasting bass.

Mandi smiled as she watched the group quietly. She liked to reflect upon the conversations she had and she also liked to read the people around her. It was something she had always been good at. She could tell the good people from the bad on the first meeting. She smiled as she realized that this was truly a good group of people. Her eyes sparkled as she watched Flo try to get a dog away from her. It seemed obvious that she didn't like them too well and Mandi wondered if she had ever been told that dogs sense fear. She shrugged as she stood. It seemed they were all going to go to Club Mineral. It had been a while since she was last there. She heard it had changed a bit, but she didn't care. It would be a fun time with these three. Blast-ended skrewts, Mandi shuddered at the thought. Those were not the best creatures and she had been burned several times by those that Hagrid had kept. Shaking her head she quickly followed after the group. She didn't care if she was last or first just as long as she could find the others when she got there.
The building loomed ever higher and Mandi felt the enthusiasm return to her smile. She loved to go clubbing. It was something that she could thoroughly enjoy without having to worry if she was doing it wrong. No one usually cared anyways. Besides this time she had plenty of friends to hang out with instead of standing by the bar. She squinted through the people around her and saw the others waiting in front of the door. "It's a jungle out there," Mandi smiled as she pointed in the direction of the crowded streets.

"Yeah, the streets were quite full of muggles today," replied Kadan. "I don't see Flo anywhere," he added. He was a little worried that she may have got separated from the group while trying to meander through the crowd. "Well, until she gets here, can I get either of you a drink," he asked Terra and Mandi. He smiled. "I'll pick up the tab for all the drinks today!"

"Ouch!!" that was the voice of Flo being chased by the little dog again. it came running back barking. But this time,it had brought a friend, a much bigger friend. A friend Flo didnt want to be friends with. ok just back away slowly, and they might just forget about you, or you could run. was the thought on Flo mind. ok, i choose run!! Flo ran as fast as she could, heading into the direction of where the others went. as she go there, she yelled to the others. "go get in, little doggie bought a friend! a big friend!" Flo ran past the others into the buiding. The muggles had no idea what was happening.

Mandi smiled at Kadan's offer for a drink. She wasn't sure what she wanted or if they still served the same drinks they use to. A voice distracted her from her thoughts as she looked up the street. Flo was being chased by two dogs, the smaller one looked like the one who had buggged her up the street. Mandi couldn't help surpressing her laugh. Flo was definitely scared of dogs and dogs liked that. It reminded Mandi of those old movies her mum had shown her about the mailmen being chased by dogs.
Mandi opened the door quickly for Flo because she didn't look like she was going to stop. Smiling, she addressed the dogs, "what are you doing chasin' my friend?" Her voice was in a mock baby tone that she always took when she talked to animals. It helped them to realize that they weren't truly in any danger at all. She looked back at the others.

At first, neither Terra nor Mandi responded to Kadan's offer for a drink. Just then, he saw Flo running from two dogs, including the one that had just been nipping at her heels. He watched as Mandi helped Flo with the door and then couldn't help but grin as she calmed the dogs in a childish voice. She sure does have a kind aura about her, he thought. Now that they were all at the club, he thought he would try again with the drink offer. "Well," he said to the three girls, "Any takers on the drinks?" He looked at Flo and explained, "All drinks are on me." ... "Oh yeah," he added. "Looks like Flo is the blast-ended Skrewt," he said with a chuckle.

Terra gave a wry smile in Kadan's directions. It was kind of him to offer her a drink, but she had money also. After all, her mother and herself were the only one's in her family that were witches. She opened her mouth to speak to Kadan, Mandi came over and gave a comment about the crowd. "I wouldn't want to get lost in there." Terra said thoughtfully, eying the crowd. "They all look the same. Lots of muggle folk to boot." she said her last sentence quieter than the other. She knew that wizards who attempted to look like muggles would actually stick out rather finely in the crowd. A girl, Terra recognized as Flo as she moved closer, was running from two dogs. The small one who had been after Flo at the benches had brought another companion along. A chuckle escaped Terra's lips before she could stop herself, and she glanced at the group, hoping they hadn't noticed. Dogs were actually very smart animals, with the exception that they were color-blind. Giving the dogs a warm smile, Terra turned back to Kadan as he offered them drinks once more.
"Umm....I suppose." she said doubtfully, her fingers reaching into her pockets were her money was stashed. "I could pay for my own though. I mean - if you want. You don't have to." Terra shifted her feet awkwardly, showing her distress. She didn't like to be offered things when she already had the chance to get it herself. It was just how she was. Letting a grin come back onto her lips, Terra opened the second door and motioned for the others to follow. "Let's go in then." she yelled over the roar of the music that had escaped once she opened the door. She moved back so the others had room to enter.

“Thanks for opening the door for me Mandi." Flo had rushed in, trying to get away from the two dogs that were chasing her down the street. “Oh ha ha, Kadan.” Flo said to Kadan’s remark. “I’ll go through the day better, not thinking I was some kind of icky beast.” Flo sure didn’t like most animals. Mainly dogs, insects, spiders and birds, especially magpies. Back in Australia, she got swooped so many times from magpies. Flo shudder at the thought of spiders. Anything with over four legs was not on Flo wish list as a pet. Flo twitched her nose. She did this often, and her friends would call her Bewitched, because of a muggle show called Bewitched. It was quite funny actually. Flo loved the idea of performing magic with one twitch of her nose. “Yeah I’m fine too; I’ll pay for a drink. I really don’t mind. Thanks anyway Kadan. Really nice of you.”

Mandi laughed when Kadan called Flo a blast ended skrewt. "It's only fair Flo, you were last," she smiled. She smiled at the rest as she looked around the club. She hadn't been here in a long time and it had changed dramatically since the last time. The wooden dance floor had been placed in the middle. The lights on the dance floor were colourful and changed often. The music was blasting loudly and Mandi smiled at the familiar rock tune. It seemed to be a muggle song instead of what they normally played. It would be interesting to see how much had changed since the management had changed to half-bloods instead of the purebloods that used to run it. Mandi figured it would be a bit more enjoyable for everyone. She smiled as she looked at the tables, chairs, and booths that were set up around the perimeter of the dance floor. The colors of the club were green, blue, and silver; lighter than they used to be. Mandi noticed the bar was set up straight back from where they stood. About 10 bar stools were set around the bar and a little over half of them were filled. The place wasn't too crowded yet, it would probably pick up in an hour or two when the sun began to set.
"Well since no one else is taking you up on your drink offer I will. Not that I like to feed off others, per say, but it was a good offer," Mandi smiled as she shut the door behind her. The music was loud and Mandi found her head bobbing to the rock music already. She loved clubs and found herself rather enjoying the music at this one. "Kadan I think a Butterbeer would be just fine for me. I think they still serve them, I haven't been here in a while," Mandi said over the music. She shrugged as she watched the three.

"Oh I see how it is," Kadan replied sarcastically. "I'm not good enough to buy you two a drink," he said airily to Terra and Flo. "No, just kidding," he added, "but really, I insist. If it weren't for the three of you, I would probably still be sulking on that bench you found me at." Not allowing any time for either Terra or Flo to argue he added, "Butterbeer sounds great Mandi," and he headed to the bar.
Once at the bar, placed his order. "I'll have four Butterbeers," he told the bartender. "Coming right up," replied the middle-aged man behind the counter. Kadan reached in his pocket an pulled out a sack of wizard money. He payed, grabbed the four mugs from the counter, and began walking back to where he left the girls.
"Here you are," he said as he distributed the drinks among the girls. "To finding a great group of friends," he added as he raised his glass in the middle of the circle, hoping the rest would follow suit and toast with him. A smile stretched across his face from ear to ear, for it had been a while that he enjoyed the company of a group he could call friends.

Terra laughed slightly when Mandi said that it was only fair that Flo was the blast-ended-skrwet. It was rather funny that Flo had managed to come in last. After all, she had been chased by those dogs. Terra stepped into the club after Mandi and Kadan stepped inside, she followed, looking around at the familiar surroundings with a smile. It looked the same as it did a week ago when she last saw it. She smiled at the others but frowned when Kadan said that he insisted. She was about to protest he walked off to the bar. Terra sighed and took the butterbeer from him when he returned. She lifted her mug also when Kadan suggested a toast.
"To finding a great group of friends!" she copied, waiting for the others to do the same.

" Yeah well that wasn't fair, i had those two dumb dogs chasing after me." Feeling rather grouchy after being chased, but perked up after she saw inside the club. It was fantastic! there were flashing lights everywhere! and the music was pumping. A song was playing, that Flo had heard in the muggle world. She would often sing it along with her friends. Flo hummed a few lines and followed the others while Kadan insisted on buying her and Terra a drink. Flo didn't argue. She knew Kadan wouldn't let her buy her own drink. Sighing, Flo grabbed a seat as Kadan returned. Getting a glass of butterbeer, Flo raised her glass as Kadan proposed a toast. "To finding a great group of friends!" Flo took a sip. It was her favorite drink. Flo looked around. people were dancing on the wooden floor in the middle of the club. Flo had an idea. "hey who wants to go and dance?" hoping she wouldn't be told no by the others, Flo took another drink. Dumb dogs, She thought again.

Mandi laughed rather fondly as Kadan refused to let the girls buy their own drinks. She knew that she would have done the same thing. She was enjoying the music when Kadan returned handing her a mug. It was hear that Kadan proposed a toast. 'To finding a great group of friends,' he said and Mandi smiled brightly. This was definitely her kind of thing. She raised her glass to Kadan's glass as Terra and Flo did the same thing. "To finding a great group of friends," Mandi said loudly. She was really enjoying her company. The glasses banged together and Mandi quickly took a drink to celebrate her new friendships.
The music was getting very enticing and Mandi was somewhat in a mood to dance, not that she really was any good at it, but it would still be fun. It was if Flo read her mine for she asked if anyone wanted to dance. Mandi immediately answered, "I'd love to dance, but I'm horrible at it. I can do like that two step thing, but then I end up tripping over my own feet. What can I say I was born with two left feet." Mandi laughed at herself as she stood to go to the dance floor leaving her Butterbeer. "Is anyone else going to come. It'll be fun," Mandi said enthusiastically as she looked at the others.

Pleased that the girls all participated in the toast, Kadan downed his drink in one gulp. "Mmmm, delicious," he said as the cool fluid sent a chill down his spine. "Can't get any better than this." He glanced at the dance floor and watched a group of teenagers dancing in a huddle. At the same time, Flo asked if anybody wanted to dance. Kadan cringed at the thought. He was a horrible dancer, and he truly wasn't in the mood to make a fool of himself. Then, however, Mandi agreed to dance, but also claimed she was not a great dancer either. Kadan thought maybe it wouldn't be too bad being that he wasn't the only one who couldn't dance. "Eh," he said hesitantly, "I suppose I could try a few moves, but I'm warning you now, once you see me dance, you won't want anybody to know I'm with you." He gave a slight grin, hoping he wasn't about to make a total idiot of himself.

Terra smiled and clanged her glass against the others happily. She took a sip but then stopped, looking at the others. They were now suggesting that they go dance. Terra frowned; she hadn't danced in over three years. Sure, she could, but what if she forgot how to? She was relieved when Mandi said that she wasn't going to be the greatest and when Kadan agreed, Terra could have floated. "Well, I suppose I could. But, I'm not the best either." she felt like she must explain this to them. She didn't want them to think she was some great dancer and when she got up on the dancing place...She shuddered and then looked around, hoping the others hadn't noticed. She had just found a great way to embarrass herself once more. She took another drink of her butterbeer to occupy herself, it's warm taste making her feel much better.
Walking over to the dance floor, Terra felt like all eyes were on her in the club. But when she looked around, everyone was going about their own business as usual. It's just me. It's just me. Terra told herself over and over again. There were only one group of dancers on the dance floor, which didn't comfort her one bit. If there had been more people dancing, others eyes would be mostly shifting instead of staying on one particular group. "Coming?" she yelled at the group, realizing that they were a little behind.

Thrilled that everyone had taken up on her offer, Flo smiled. But the others all said they weren't very good dancers. Flo shrugged. "so what, its not like its gonna be printed in the Daily Prophet." Flo giggled "i can just see the head lines now: Local students turn to jelly!" Flo laughed at this thought. taking one more sip of her butterbeer, Flo stood up and followed Terra onto the dance floor. They other two followed looking really nerves. Well, Kadan did a least.
Flo noticed a bunch of teenagers nearby. She saw the others looking at them too. "Relax, If we're all horrible dancers, then we might as well dance horribly in a group!" Flo said with a smile. She didn't want to admit it but she was actually a good dancer. she used to do dancing lessons when she was younger, but she didn't want to tell her friends that. Then a new song came on, one that Flo absolutely loved. She started to dance, a little bit badly, so the others wouldn't feel left out.

Apprehensively, Kadan stepped onto the dance floor walked nervously. Okay, I can't be that bad, he thought. He listened to the music and attempted to establish a beat. He started to step in rhythm, and before he realized it, he was dancing. Wow, this isn't that bad. Maybe I'm not as horrible as I thought. Kadan continued dancing, regardless of if it was good or bad, he didn't seem to care. All that he cared about at the moment was that he was having the time of his life. He looked at the three girls around him and realized he couldn't have asked for a better group of friends. "This is awesome!" he yelled over the blasting music. "I never realized how much fun dancing was!"
