Aneen's cheek was pressed to the window, staring out at the countryside as it rushed passed her. As usual, England was cold. And foggy and rainy and not sunny at all.
Aneen, Your brother and I will see you at the Station and get you safely on your way home. I wish we'd have more time together this summer. Dad
The short letter had come by owl the last day of school. Aneen was glad that she'd have at least a couple hours in London before being packed back off to the coast of Ireland.
Suddenly, her leg was being nudged. She looked down to see her cat rubbing relentlessly against her leg. "Lor...you ... oh come here..." she said shortly, annoyed at being interrupted, if even by her cat. She picked her cat up and Lorean promptly settled into her lap and purred excessively.
"You lazy little thing. Getting plump on mice all the time," but Aneen couldn't help but give her cat a wane smile. "You'll be my one friend this summer," she added in a small whisper.

No school. This was one of the worst times to Storm. She would be back with all the bullies at her home town. She looked everywhere for seat, but everywhere was full. She walked to the back of the train, being pushed against walls by Slytherins. Storm was used to it, she was always bullied at home. She would be called mudblood and she wouldn't care. Storm struggled to find a seat and came across an empty on, except for a girl. Storm opened the door and got pushed in. She ended up on the floor, her world black for a minute. She had hit her head pretty hard on the floor, so she was knocked out. "Uhh" Storm said while regaining consciousness. "Whew, Slytherins are getting meaner." Storm said while getting up. "I'm Storm. I see your also a Ravenclaw." Storm said while looking at her robes. Storm took a seat and hoped she would be welcome.
(( Hope you don't mind me dropping in, I 'll delete it if you want.))

Aneen was shaken abruptly from her thought by the sudden appearance of another girl falling in through the door. When she didn't get up immediately, Aneen started to panic...a bit. But with the cat on her lap and her wand packed, she couldn't have done much beyond dumping the cat onto the girl anyway.
Aw...criminy. This had better not turn out like that instance with Stryder I feel like I'm hardly over. Crazy kid. Aneen sighed a big sigh of relife when the girl got up just fine and started complaining about Slytherins. Getting to the back of the train could be quite obnoxious, but Aneen was cold enough and could shut it out well enough that it was worth the trek.
"They are horrid, sometimes. I'm not fond," Aneen replied simply. She hadn't quite decided yet how she felt about the interruption. At least the girl was a Ravenclaw. Aneen replied nothing further, but gave the girl and evaluating look and turned her attention back to her cat, who appeared to be sleeping. Or maybe just feigning a nap Aneen thought in a smirk.

The girl agreed with her. "Um, what's your name?" Storm asked while looking out the window. She saw Hogwarts disappearing, faster and faster. Storm sighed. Hogwarts' students at least had more respect than normal people did. Well, not all students did, but it was just Slytherins' nature. Storm was going to be with the ugly, rude and fat bully Pamela soon. And then there was Reggie, as skinny as a bone who was also very violent. "Do you have bullies where you live?" Storm asked in curiosity. Storm remembered when she had broke her leg when she was five. Reggie and Pamela wanted a swing at the local park, so they pushed her off. Then the time she had cracked her head when she went to Pamela's sixth birthday party. Pamela had pushed her off the diving board of her pool, and Storm hit her head against the pool edge.
But at least she still had consciousness. Well, barley. Storm wished that she could move away, somewhere where all she had was friends. But, this was the real world, there was such place. Storm sat in her seat and waited for a topic to talk about appear in her mind.

Aneen feigned a cool disinterest by paying sudden over attention to the cat in her lap, pretending to....inspect for fleas?! Or not. Her eyes wandered over to the window. But ignoring someone in such a small space was rude even for Aneen. So sighed deeply, internally and turned back to face her.
In an almost over polite, yet blank tone, she responded, "I'm Aneen, third year." Since Storm had already noticed that she was a Ravenclaw, she cut herself off before becoming repetitive.
Bullies....no, not so many. At school they just ignored me. I was mean back. In a different way, but mean. And one doesn't label parents "bullies."
"Well....no. We don't live near too many other people," Aneen replied shortly, in a cautious tone and trying not to think about the it isn't neglect, per se. They just...ignore me? There's food and clothes, a roof and a bed. But no love... she thought quietly to herself.
"Bullies ruin everything," the words sort of spilled out of her mouth without her being totally aware. She held her cat a little closer and rubbed the soft spot between Lor's ears.
