Kim made her way down to the Quidditch stadium bundled up in several layers of yellow robes that made her wobble a little bit as she walked. Before she headed up to the seats she made a stop at the snack bar. In short time she had herself a big mug of hot chocolate and some kettle pop corn. Then up the winding steps she went until she reached the Hufflepuff section. There was only one place for Kim to go and that was the very first row. Of course it was one of the lowest rows of seats in the entire stadium, but on days like this it was also the warmest as the wind wouldn’t blast there as bad. Squeezing her way to one of the first rows, Kim sat down and watched the rest of the stadium fill up and soon the players began to take to the sky. Kim hoped that next weekend when she had to play it wouldn’t be so cold.

Vanessa tightened her pony tail as she climbed the stairs to the Hufflepuff stands. The wind whipped by her and she pulled her coat closer around her. She wished that this weather would subside by the Hufflepuff and Gryffindor match, playing beater in this weather wouldn't be nice. As she reached the top of the Hufflepuff stands she looked around for an empty place.
She then spotted Kim Sullivan, one of the Hufflepuff captains. Vanessa hugged herself and walked over to where Kim stood. She smiled and looked out as the match began. Catalina got the quaffle, then it was stolen by Dawn, then Dawn tried to pass to Pyro and Jasmine tried to intercept it, Pyro had the quaffle at that moment. Vanessa held her breath and waited, trying to find out what would happen.
"Hey, Kim. It's blistering cold isn't it? I hope it's not like this when we play." Vanessa greeted her captain, not taking her eyes off the game. She smiled and looked at Kim briefly before looking back at the interesting game.

Kim watched above as the action went back and forth really quickly, it seemed like both teams had the Quaffle then lost it, then got it back then lost it again. Kim felt someone sit next to her and she looked over to see Vanessa there. "Hey Vanessa, you weren't there before were you? I would have seen you if you were there but then when I sat here there was no one there so you must not have been there so when did you get here? Do you like to watch the games too?" Kim looked up again when she heard the clink of a beater's bat. "Ooooo someone hit a bludger! I don't like bludgers they hurt really bad, last game I got hit by a bludger at it really hurt and then I had to go to the hospital wing and I didn't want to walk there because I hurt so I flew on my broom there and Madam Pomfrey got mad at me and said that I'm not supposed to go flying in the castle but I said that it was an emergency and she said that if it was an emergency I should have told a professor to instantly go get her but I didn't think it was that much of an emergency." The whole time Kim talked her eyes were up in the sky as both teams continue to fly back and forth.
"Oooh this is confusing I can't tell where everyone is it keeps going to fast, and then it's hard to keep moving your head back and forth I think I'm going to have a neck ache by the end of the game but I didn't want to sit in the towers way up there" Kim said as she pointed to some of the high towers round the Quidditch pitch. "I bet the people who are in those towers are freezing because it is really cold here and I heard that it is colder when you go up higher so that's why I went here to get out of the colder air and stay in the warmer air of down here." Kim then dug into her bag of kettle pop corn and shoved some into her mouth and was quite for a few seconds until she finished those particular kernels. "Vanessa do you want some pop corn? It's not pop corn but that kettle pop corn I got some at the snack stand outside the stands back over there with the people in the line, I really like kettle corn it tastes sweet and my mom says I can't have it because it has a lot of sugar but I like it anyway so you can have some of mine if you want or we can go get some more later too because it's really good and I think I can eat it all by myself anyway so you go and take some if you want some OK?" Kim then set the bag down on the bench between her and Vanessa and took a sip of her hot chocolate. "Sssssss ooow!! Hey that's hot!" Kim said as she stuck her tongue out into the cold air and waved her hand at it feverishly trying to cool it off.

Dana was a bit late for the beginning of Quidditch. She had forgot herself behind a book in the library, so she reached the stands just in time to see Mary Evans catch the quaffle. “WOOHOOOO! GO MARY!” Dana yelled happily clapping loudly. She didn’t really care that Mary was playing against Dana’s house. Dana naturally wished her house would win, but she would still cheer on her friends, no matter what others would think of it.
Dana smiled walked to get a bit better place and smiled at the quidditch pitch. Mary’s parents were against her playing, but Dana was glad Mary had still got the chance to play and show how good she really was.

Sapphire wrapped herself up warm and made her way down to the Quidditch stands early, casting a spell on her robes to make them waterproof and bringing with her the usual store of hot chocolate and biscuits. Ravenclaw had lost the last match, which was unfortunate, because they had been doing very well until Cho Chang missed the Snitch at the end. But today she had something else to watch, despite the fact that she wasn't particularly into Quidditch. She got to watch her sister playing as a Chaser.
Actually, Chaser wasn't Zara's best position. She was more natural as a Beater. But Sapphire was there to support her, so naturally, she was supporting Gryffindor in this game. Sapphire got herself a seat where she could see everything properly, but not too high up. It was bitterly cold out here. Sapphire poured herself some hot chocolate and sipped it, allowing the warmth to slowly spread. She caught Zara's eye before the game started and smiled at her, giving her the thumbs up, though why she wasn't entirely sure. It wasn't as if Zara needed any more confidence. She was great in that way.
Sapphire held her breath as Madam Hooch tossed the Quaffle in the air, and smiled as the Gryffindor Chaser got to it first. The game had started well for Gryffindor, then. She peered into the rain to see what was happening now. Quidditch was a fast-paced game, even in the rain. That was why she couldn't keep up with it.

*Pyro walked across the courtyard and toward the quidditch field. His breath came out in puffs of smoke in the cool air. His feet made a soft crunch as he trudged his way through the snow. His spirits were high, in the last Quidditch game Slytherin had gotten a vicotory over Ravenclaw. Even tho after a nasty bludger hit pyro was switched. But at least he did get in some playing time.
He reached the field and headed over to the stands. He sat down in the Slytherin bleachers. He rubbed his hands to keep them warm. He wraped his cloak around his body. He looked out over the field and watched all the players start to congregate on the field.*
"Boo Gryffindor!"
*He yelled..Pyro didnt want Hufflepuff to win this game either. But if it was a Choice between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, hed take Hufflepuff hands down. Pyro watched all the players begin to warm up on the field, he paid particular attention to the hufflepuff players, since the slytherins still had to play them*
"Come on! lets get this game started!"
*As if she had heard him madam Hooch made her way out into the field and blew her whistle. She released the snitch and the bludgers. Than threw the quaffle into the air and the game was on. Pyro leaned back in the bleachers to watch*

Cedric walked into the stands on the Slytherin side of the pitch. Looking into the air watching the game. Cedric needed Gryffindor to win 150 to 0 for Slytherin to stay in second place in the house cup. "Come on Hufflepuff." Cedric yelled loudly.

Jasmine wrapped herself up in her warmest robes. Layer after layer she made sure she didn’t catch a cold. Despite Ravenclaws defect she still was going to cheer the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff team on. Jasmine couldn’t pick from each team. She had too many friends in each house and diced to support both houses. It wouldn’t be that bad too and it might just keep her mind clear from the last game. Pulling her long dark brown hair into a pony tail she put on her Ravenclaw hat and headed up the stairs in the Ravencalw section. Note many Ravens were there maybe because of their defect she really did not know. Taking a seat next to Shapiro she smiled at the younger girl. She had met her on the trip to Weini Zug and in the common room. But really did not get enough time to get to know her that well. Stilling smiling she put her hands into gloves and rubbed them together. She could see her own breath in the air and felt a shiver go up her back. "Hello Sapphire." Jasmine greeted her with a warm smiled and turned her attention back to the game.
The wind was blowing hard and for sure to knock any one off of their brooms. Her hazel eyes scanned the players looked for Vanessa. Not seeing her there she sighed and decided she might come in the game later on. A smiled came across her face as she watched Gryffindor take the quaffle first. "Go Gryffindor!" She yelled as loud as she could out to the pitch. Clapping her hands she saw Jordan and smiled at the girl. Jasmine knew that Jordan didn’t like her much but she was still kind to her. Since Vanessa was once her friend and still was nice to her Jasmine had no reason to not like the younger girl. "Go Jordan!" Jasmine screamed to encourage the young girl one. Still clapping her hands she smiled at Sapphire and waited for the rest of the game to begin.

"Lets Go, Gryffindor! Show Hufflepuff how great we are!" Karissa, Kari for short, yelled from the stands. Underneath a heavy black cloak she was wearing a red and gold outfit she had made herself. Since there had been no try outs for the Quidditch team, she would settle for being cheerleader. She cheered and yelled and cheered some more, yelling and screaming as Gryffindor scored ten points.
"Woohoo! Yay!" she yelled along with the other fans.

"Booo!!" Pyro booed Loudly as griffindor scored. "Stupid hufflepuffs not doing their job" He thought. As he watched the game continue he grew progressivly worse, it didnt look like hufflepuff would be able to pull it off. and with potter being the seeker for Gryffindor, it didnt look to good Hufflepuff, and if gryffindor won, than slytherin would drop lower in the ranking.
He noticed he had been lost in thought and was spacing out and not watching the game. He noticed Cassandra make a succsesfull bludger block. he jumped to his feet "Yes! Nice Jo...." the words caught in his throat..Did he just cheer a gryffindor. He shook his head. He had just been hanging around cassandra for a while. That was all. He sat down and watched the rest of the game.

Post by Lavender Brown on May 5, 2005 10:05:17 GMT
Lavender opened her soft, brown eyes and sat up in her warm downy bed. Today would be a good day. She just knew it! With a skip in her step (unusual for such an early hour) she crossed the dormitory to her chest of drawers to find something to wear. A few minutes later she emerged from the spiral staircase for the dorm into the common room. She was wearing a long, white skirt, a black top and her cloak. Her black and white bangles jangled on her wrists and her waist length, wavy blonde hair shimmered in the sunlight that streamed inot the common room from the arched Tudor window. The common room was humming with excitement. It was the day of the final Quidditch match of the season. Gryffindor vs. Slytherin. Lavender had forgotten and she quickly dashed up to her dorm to change into a yellow skirt and singled top and a crimson jacket. She returned to the common room to find it almost empty. Her fellow housemates must have gone down to breakfast early to get good seats in the bleachers at the match. Lavender jogged across the empty room and left through the portrait hole. “Well good morning to YOU!” The fat lady’s comment resounded through the corridor as Lavender past her and she waved a hand in reply as she ran. Minutes later Lavender seated herself at the Gryffindor house table in the Great Hall. She filled her goblet with some ice cold pumpkin juice and then preceeded to stack her plate with some pancakes and fresh blueberries. Lavender was nto usually so hungry, but lately she had been up late studying for her sixth year exams and finding the energy to keep her brain in working order had become more difficult. She wolfed down the pancakes with gusto and, still chewing her last one, she exited the Great Hall to join her friends who were walking along the lawn towards the Quidditch Pitch. Along the grounds Lavender heard a discussion about the outcomes of this game based on odds, player profiles and weather changes. It was usual for the students to do this. Quidditch was the only official spectator sport available to watch here at Hogwarts and most of the students followed it closely. As she neared the pitch Lavender began to change their direction slightly towards the Gryffindor entrance to the pitch. There was much excitement now and many students ran this way and that talking to their friends and exchanging new information regarding the players and the direction of the wind and sun. Lavender found herself a good seat in the bleachers and withdrew from her bag a pair of binoculars.

((Monica, there is NO quidditch game going on right now? And in the first game to be played out won't be between Ravenclaw and Slytherin either. So why are you cheering and for who? *Viper moment with hands * - and please write that sentence out without the stars.))

I seemed like forever since there had been a quidditch game at Hogwarts, and now Ravenclaw was playing Gryffindor to finally put the pitch to use. She never really use to care much about a match between those two houses before. She didn't really know people in either or have any problems with either, and their games were always very exciting. They both had great times. She always went to watch, just for inspiration if nothing else, but this was the first time she was really rooting for one of the teams. She climbed up into the stands carrying a little Ravenclaw flag, and waved it up in the air as soon as she found a seat. She hoped that Ravenclaw did well, or more importantly that Gary played well. She saw him fly across the field after the quaffle and she yelled out his name, waving her flag even higher. She knew he couldn't really hear her--or at least she never heard anyone, but she yelled out as loud as she could anyway.

Post by luna on Jun 8, 2006 4:55:35 GMT
Luna dressed carefully that morning. She always dressed carefully to make sure her clothes worked together and were safe. But this morning she took extra care. A quidditch game was announced to take place today. Ravenclaw versus Gryffindor. It demanded a truly astonishing outfit. Luna had been thinking about it for very long. It was hard to make a choice in the end. Luna full-heartedly supported Ravenclaw. She was very proud of her house. But Ginny and Ron and Harry were playing on the Gryffindor team and Luna supported her friends too. Harry would be very sad if he didn’t succeed in catching the snitch during the game. If he didn’t decide to dive head-first onto the grass that covered the quidditch pitch before. He tend to do that eerily often. He was just too nice. Everybody knew that Voldemort wanted to kill Harry and yet he was this nice and injured himself so often and thereby making things easier for Harry. But Luna had her outfit for the game. She had sewn together a lot of Ravenclaw ties which resulted in a quite dashing skirt. And she wore a simply fetching rather short top half of which was bright Gryffindor red, half deep Ravenclaw blue. Shoes had been the easiest to make. Luna had simply worn one red and one blue show and placed a lion toy on the red shoe and the bird plushie she had transfigure don the blue shoe. Luna was a bit worried that the bird looked a bit more like a crane rather than a raven. But she hadn’t been able to do any better. But the toys bobbed so nicely up and down and from side to side when Luna walked that she just couldn’t help but admire her shoes. She was wearing matching earrings too. A small red lion hanging from her one ear and a blue raven form the other. And both flashed colour after each other. A little bit like an ambulance’s flash-lights. A flash of blue, then red, then blue, then red, the blue, then red, then blue, then red, then blue, then red, then blue, then red. It looked very pretty in Luna’s opinion. She had put blue and red ribbons into her hair too and the outcome had risen to the occasion. It was astonishing!
Everyone else had already left, but this suited Luna just fine. She wanted her outfit to be seen for the first time in it’s full glory out there. At the quidditch pitch. Quietly singing the song she had learned to herself Luna picked up one more raven and lion toy and left the dormitory to go and see the game too. She was going to cheer for her friends! And for her house team too! This thought cheered Luna up again and she went the rest of the way to the quidditch pitch with a bounce in her step. That game must have just started so Luna had little trouble walking to the pitch and there gliding gracefully through the seats and steps and pillars that supported the higher seats until she reached the pitch itself. For a moment Luna observed the game without blinking before she straightened her back, held her head high and stepped onto the pitch and started diagonally dancing across it with high jumps, twirls and curious twists of her body that made her ear-rings and the toys perching on her shoes bounce happily. Spreading out her arms Luna waved the two plushies in her hands vigorously as she loudly sang.
Take me out to the sidelines give me a pom in each hand. We'll start with a basket & a-toe touch, yelling and tumbling, it's never too much. Cause it's go, fight, win the game, We jump up and down when you score. for we cheer, smile and show our spirit, When we're on the floor! Noticing Madam Hooch flying on her broom too Luna stopped her song and waved towards the professor with both hands. “Hello, madam Hooch, are you out to watch the game too? I'd keep an eye on that white cloud there! There might be Blibbering Humdingers hiding in it! They like to eat bludgers!” Smiling widely Luna dug into a pocket of her skirt and pulled out some red and blue glitter and threw it in the air happily before beginning her song again from the beginning as she continued to dance.

Post by Hermione Granger on Jun 9, 2006 15:38:54 GMT
Usually when a Quidditch game was going on, Hermione was excited. This time though... well, things were different. She was a walking circus around Hogwarts; everyone stopping to stare at her. Even some stopped to question her about what had happened. Hermione had always tried to brush them off, but it truly did nag at her. What did happen? She had been so confused and so... lost. She had been at Parvati's, that was for sure, she remembered that. Checking up on her... yes, that was it. And then... there were a lot of flashing lights and mass confusion before everything went black. After that she went in and out of consciousness. She knew she was at the brink of death many times but before she could do anything about the situation, she would warp back into the darkness. And now... Hermione felt pressure build behind her eyes. Why did these things have to happen? Over the years she had grown accustomed to the danger that grew when she continued to be friends with Harry. She knew she wasn't exactly safe. It was different though when things actually did happen. Biting her lip, Hermione rolled over on her bed. She hadn't gotten any sleep last night... how could she?
She had to be strong. That was all there was to it. This was her very last year at Hogwarts and she should be enjoying herself. She should be out at the Quidditch game, watching and cheering on friends. Gin, Harry and Ron... she looked around the deserted dorm. It was so quiet... Hermione was already fully dressed, hair combed and ready - the only thing she had yet to do was pull herself together. Leaving her bed, the dorm, and going outside sounded terrifying. What if there were Death Eaters in the crowd? Nonsense. Hermione shook her head. She was not about to become paranoid like... like Mad-Eye. She had to be strong, strong enough to chase away her fears. There were no Death Eaters out there - there couldn't be. She took a deep breath and sat up. The silence put a tremendous weight on her shoulders. It made her crave for the screams and noise of the Quidditch game. Swinging her legs to the side, Hermione put her feet on the floor and slowly stood up. Yes, she was doing this! She could do it!
When she reached the Quidditch Pitch a roar of noise met her. She flinched for a second before realizing there was nothing to be afraid of. This was just a Quidditch game. There had to be some noise, otherwise it just wouldn't be the same. Hermione entered the stands and made her way toward where the Gryffindors were sitting. She could feel the stares on her back but instead of cowering like she had for the first few days, she held her head high and gave everyone a smile. Looking around at the sea of people, she tried to find someone she knew. Parvati's face washed up in her mind; No! She mustn't think about her. Hermione sat down in one of the only empty seats left, relaxing as she felt some stares rivet their gaze back to the game. Her hands were sweaty but she felt more alive then ever before. Looking up, she saw the flash of blue and red go across the field. Quidditch was always rather hard to follow. Narrowing her eyes, she failed to spot Ginny but did find Ron by the hoops. Ravenclaw was in possession and they were currently ten points ahead. Hermione watched as a Ravenclaw chaser approached the goals and scored. Poor Ron, she thought with dismay, just beginning to imagine how he was feeling at the moment. It was now twenty up and she watched as Ron was hit with a bludger and so was Harry, who was looking around for the snitch. C'mon Gryffindor! She wanted to shout, but felt it better if she stayed quiet for now. She should have made a sign.. yes, but there had been no time. Maybe next time. Hermione sighed. If there would be a next time.
