The castle was nearly completely silent, a pin being dropped could of echoed and footsteps felt like the castle was crumbling from within. A cold, misty breeze fled in like a cloak wrapping Hogwarts. Leaves tried to fly into the castle but were dismissed by the abandoned door suddenly slamming shut. The heat that had magically occupied certain teacher's classrooms were being surrounded by students like the room itself was cuddling them. The owls in the owlery hooted so quietly that the room could be mistaken for empty and no one dare send a letter as the distance of the owlery was so far that they could easily freeze and not be found for days.
In the corridors the paintings shivered like they all scurried around trying to find a picture with a fire. The candles on the wall were being constantly blown out. The ghosts made it worse by flying through people. The feeling made you feel like your whole body was paralyzed and the ghosts were nearly lifting you off the ground.
In one of the corridors was a large, wooden bench and sat upon it was Victoria Bailey. Her hair was floating gently with the breeze and was settled on her scarf. She was nearly covered in white as if she could have been a ghost. She sat there quietly, a book placed in her lap. She delicately licked her finger and turned the page. She breathed deeply and blew out making the warm around feel warmer. She closed her eyes, looked toward the ceiling and smiled. Finally, she thought, some piece and quiet.

Pyro marveled at the silence that surrounded him. Never before had the castle been this quiet. He guessed that maybe it was the coldness that had forced everyone back into their common rooms and thats why the hallway was so quiet today. The cold had been really starting to take its toll. Even the paintings were scattering trying to find some warmth. Pyro had first noticed the coldness during his daily workout session. Slowly but surely he had been receiving less and less sweat doing his workout. Today he hadn't even removed his shirt.
Pyro walked down the hallway. His bag slung over his shoulder. He had just gotten done with his daily workout routine. He sighed as he walked down the hallway. Normally he would return to the common room about now, but why waste the quietness of the hall. Besides, it was probably warmer here in the halls than it was down in the Slytherin common room.
Turning a corner Pyro noticed a bench. Someone was already sitting there. Frowning he noticed it was a fellow Slytherin. Perhaps this Slytherin was also enjoying the quiet. Pyro approached the bench. "Evening." He said and set his bag on the bench. The bench was large, large enough for Pyro to lay down without bothering the girl. "Hope you don't mind if I join you. If you do, I guess theres plenty of other benches around the castle that you can sit at." With that Pyro laid down on the bench and placed his head on the bag. He folded his hands behind his head and with a sigh shut his eyes.

Victoria had hardly noticed that Pyro had joined her and his voice made her jump as the silence had been surrounding her for at least an hour. "Hope you don't mind if I join you. If you do, I guess theres plenty of other benches around the castle that you can sit at." he asked and then, without waiting for a reply, laid down on the bench.
Victoria raised an eyebrow and peered down on him, he looked different somehow but she didn't care that much to notice what. Instead, she just gazed down at him as he started to fall slowly into sleep. "Isn't it weird? Whenever you ask anyone if you can do something you seem to do it anyway. I highly suggest you learn to wait for the answer or you simply don't ask." she said, leaning over Pyro so her shadow covered him.

Just as Pyro was starting to slip into a relaxed state the girls voice drifted over him. He slowly slipped open one eye and noticed that she had leaned over him. He could see nothing beyond her upper body and face looking down at him. He mulled over her words for a moment. A slow grin spread over his face and he opened his eyes fully and looked up at her.
"Yea, you do have a point, but I like to live my life having all ends covered. If I ask the question and wait for a response, than I run the risk of having the answer be 'No.' If that were to happen than my next action could be considered a hostile one and lead to further conflict. " His grin continued to grow and there was a slight twinkle in his eye. "Now the fact that I even asked is showing good manners, but than I don't wait for an answer which is bad manners. Therefore it negates the effects of the good manners and brings the situation back to a neutral standing."
He sighed a little and slowly began to shut his eyes once more. "And that means that the other party has no justification to start a fight with me due to my rudeness." He laughed a bit. "Not that I am afraid of fights. I just merely don't want to waste my time."

Victoria looked down at the boy who seemed to not know that he was talking absolute garbage to her. But he kept going on as if Victoria cared or even was listening. She rested a finger on her lips hoping the boy would just cease his speech but he seemed to be having so much fun that she took it away and smiled gently at him.
"Now, that was very interesting and all but I have obviously not hinted something important clearly for you," she whispered as she looked away from him. "Go away or sit up!" she demanded as she snapped her head back where she was facing him.
She looked dangerously at him, didn't blink and kept staring into his eyes. She broke this tension by letting out a giggle as the boy made her laugh quite.

Pyro was once again pulled from his relaxed state by the sound of her voice. Only this time her words were a bit more cutting and unfriendly. His eyes snapped open and he was about to retort when suddenly her serious tone was broken when she giggled. He arched his eyebrow slightly.
"But I'm already all comfy." He said in a slight whiny voice. "Why should I move now?" He smirked and switched back to his normal sarcastic tone of voice. "Besides, theres plenty of room for me to be laying down." He wiggled slightly and got comfortable once again. Closing his eyes. "You have your side, I have mine. We're both happy."

Victoria hated people who whined so, naturally, hated people who pretended to as well. She sneered as Pyro laid down again, he was slowly getting on her nerves. "Fine, be that way but don't annoy me," she said as she looked down at her book. She carried on with the book which seemed to be repeating the same thing again and again.
Pyro moved slightly as he rested and Victoria breathed harder and more forcefully. If he annoyed her, she was extremely close from getting out her wand. She knew he was a Pureblood and a Slytherin but he still had to know how to respect his elders and superiors.

Pyro lay on in silence. Finally being able to relax. It seemed that the girl was finally done talking to him. The few moments of silence were interrupted though by her breathing. Which had become stronger and louder. Pyro frowned and slowly opened his eyes.
He had to roll his eyes up as high as they would go just to catch a glimpse of her. "Um. Mind knocking that off?" He said in a casual tone. "It's kind of distracting."
He shut his eyes but kept his ears open. Years of training had taught him when to detect hostile movement. Judging from her earlier reactions, she wouldn't take to kindly to his comment.

Victoria completely froze as the boy spoke. What was that little Malfoy-wannabe thinking? He should be clever enough to know that he wasn't going to survive far in Slytherin with that attitude. She turned her head and looked down at Pyro disgustingly. "Listen, Pyro, if you want to annoy me then you are doing the right thing and if you don't then I suggest that you shut the hell up or leave!" she said, making sure she didn't raise her voice. Instead she kept to a deadly, cold whisper that could have pierced the silence.
She shook her hair and looked back at the ceiling in which she was now, somehow, interested in. "So? Which one is it?" she asked, still not raising her voice over a whisper and not looking down at him.

Pyro smirked as he listened to the girls retort. He hadn't come here to annoy her at first, but this was turning out to be a rather fun game. "Hmmm." Pyro acted as if he was thinking. Drawing the silent pause out for a few minutes.
"I'm sorry, what were the choices again?" He let this hang for a second. No doubt she was a bit to shocked to find a reply anyway. Than he chuckled slightly. "Oh wait I remember." He again drew out the silence. "Alright, I choose. Neither." He suddenly shot up and sat up straight so that his back was to her. He crossed his legs under him and spun around in his seat.
He looked at her. A smug smirk across his face. "Alright, your turn." He said indicating that it was her turn to comment in the conversation.

Victoria sneered at Pyro as he triumphantly put her down, she stood her suddenly. Pyro looked anxiously up at her and she laughed and sat back down on the bench. She reached into her bag and pulled out two things, her wand and a large, green scrunchy. She tightly pulled her hand into it and tied it tightly. She then reached for her wand and slipped it into her pocket. She glanced at Pyro, "Oh don't worry Darling, I'm not going to hurt you," she whispered closely into his ear and then patted him on the shoulder.
She then stuffed her bag under the bench where it had been before and opened her book. She delicately held it on her lap and continued to read, keeping as quiet as possible and repeatedly looking from her book to Pyro.

((Ok, I know you meant well. But in your last post you did something that is known on this site as "Godmoding" but I commonly refer to it as "Puppetmastery." You controlled my charrie without my permission. Now I will let it slide this time but please don't let it happen again. )) The tension rose slightly as Pyro waited for the girls response. She surprised him when she lept to her feet. Although she sat back down nearly immediately. He narrowed his eyes and watched her suspiciously. She was starting to act strangely now. Pulling out a scrounge and her wand. Pyro barely felt any relief at her calming words. He had made that mistake once and he wouldn't be caught off guard again. He could feel his muscles tighten slightly and get into a ready position. His body relaxed so that he would be able to act without any resistance. If she was going to try something. Pyro would be ready for it. "Really. So whats the wand for than?"

((Oops, sorry about the God-moding, I did more god-moding and deleted it. Must have forgotten to delete that sentence.))
"Oh, the wand is just because you seem a little dodgy and I don't want you to get too psycho on me," she said mockingly. She flipped her leg over the other and pulled down her skirt which was riding up. She looked back at Pyro, she tapped him on the shoulder, "relax, I'm not going to hurt you."
She gazed at the ceiling again, admiring the patterns of gold and blue and then went back to her book. "So, as we are going to have to survive with each other and I feel obliged to talk to you like a friend," she said putting her book into her bag.
"So, how are you?" she said, laughing at the simplicity of the question. As she glanced back at him, waiting for a sarcastic comment which was infamous of Pyro, she heard a loud, screeching noise.

Pyro smirked slightly and looked a bit skeptical. "Dodgy? Going Psycho? Me?" His eyes flicked to her hand for a moment as she patted his shoulder and told him to calm down. He narrowed his eyes.
On the outside his body seemed to relax, but on the inside he was still poised and ready to act if needed. He arched an eyebrow as she put her book away and talked to him once more.
Pyro shrugged. "Not bad. Just got done working out. So I feel pretty refreshed and relaxed. Lord knows I need it after spending all day in classes along with muggle filth and blood traitors and the lot." He said with a slight sneer.

"Working out? I wouldn't have guessed," she said sarcastically. Everyone in Slytherin that Pyro spent most time working out, it was no surprise. She raised her eyebrows and smiled at him gently, trying to make sure he wasn't going to jump out at her.
The comment about the blood traitors and mudbloods made her giggle, not that she did not believe in what he was saying but she had never heard the words said so dispassionately. She had grew up with her father constantly ranting about them and how muggle hunting should be allowed again.
She shifted herself on the bench and made sure one eye was on Pyro as he was not looking all to calm. For once, there was complete silence again and she broke it with her giggle. "I'm so sorry about my laugh, many people told me that I sound evil when I do it but I hope you don't think so," she mockingly said to Pyro, she was known for her high-pitched, short giggle.
