Seeing into the Future (( Mitch only))

Dust stirred up off the floor as Cassandra opened the abandoned classroom's door. She was pretty sure that this room hadn't been used in years, and the many dust bunnies reinforced that idea. Walking over to the corner, she pulled a round table out into the middle of the floor. After that, she took two chairs that were stacked on top of each other and sat them on opposite sides of the table. The table and chairs had left tracks on the floor almost like the ones people made when pulling a sled in snow. Opening up her carry all bag, she pulled out a crystal ball and stand. Clearing away the dirt on the polished surface, she placed the implements on the table.

Cass was still not sure why she had agreed to this. After Divination, a young slytherin boy had approached her about doing her reading. Unable to come up with a good response, she had said the only thing that she could think. " Yes," had been her simple answer as she walked away. Tucking her skirt underneath her, she sat in the chair to the left of the table. She sure hoped that this Mitch person would show up. Looking at her watch, she sighed. Bored, she took her shoe and began to make patterns in the thick dust on the floor.

Mitch was in the common room when he noticed the time he was almost late for his homework club thing with Cassandra he quickly grabbed his bag and ran out of the common room . He couldn't stop once he was out so he used the wall to turn then ran along the corridor and up the stairs not slowing or stopping for breath until he got to the marble stair case .Where he took a quick breather before running to the abandoned classroom where they had agreed to meet .

Mitch got to the door and he was 5 minutes late he walked in and noticed that Cassandra must of got bored waiting and he could see she had taken up making dust pattens . Mitch walked over to the table caught his breath the said '' sorry I'm late i had to run from he common room '' he looked around the classroom then added in a joke voice '' love what you've done with the place '' he finished with a grin to show it was a friendly joke ,then he sat down placed his bag on the floor and said ''how goes first then ?'' he used the time while he was waiting to rest his legs

The door squeaked open and Mitch Collins walked into the room. He was a small boy, but all younger students seemed small to Cassie now. She had grown about a foot over the summer, and the only person who was taller than her nowadays was Liam. Heck, Pyro and her were the same height right now. Cass was caught off guards by the Slytherin's jovial acknowledgment. A weird one he is, Cass thought as she raised her eyebrow at him. Mitch unceremoniously plopped into the chair across the table, and smiled.

Pulling out her copy of Unfogging the Future, Cass flipped it open to the chapter on Crystal Ball Reading. " I think I will start." She put her hands over the ball and whispered the incantations as laid out in the book. Gazing into the ball, she felt the Angelus medallion fall out of her open collar. Clouds began to roll around in the clear orb, and Cass swore she could make out some vague shapes. " Hmmm...let's see...," Cass flipped through the pages in a hurry. " Well, this little thing looks like a lemon..." She let her finger glide across the page. " That means you are going to be in a sour mood." She picked up her quill and scribbled down some notes. "...And this wonky cross right here means trial and tribulations..." Touching the crystal ball with her index finger, she pointed at something that looked like a flower. " Flowers mean new things. So...," Cass looked over the ball at the boy, " Your going to have a new thing enter your life that will put you in a bad mood. It will also cause some problems in your life."

Mitch knew that crystal ball reading wasn't always right but he still had a feeling that the information that he had just received to be correct d didn't like the way it was sounding .
Mitch looked up from the crystal ball and at Cassandra then said in a joke voice '' anyway we could change ? it didn't sound all to good '' he finished with a smile to show he was joking .
Mitch knew he was probably the nicest Slytherin but thats because of how he was raised he still had time to become a true Slytherin .

The boy was right. Mitch's prophecy didn't sound very good, but it was all that she saw in the smoky depths of the crystal. " Well, probably not, but just remember. The more dismal the prophecy and the more horrible the outcome the better grade we will get. That woman feeds off things like that." She let her finger linger down the page some more as she tried to read several more shapes in the ball. " She is a looney, that one is." Cass eyed the boy oddly as he began to laugh. Not really sure how to take the Slytherin, she continued to keep on her work face.

She refused to get chummy with the boy. Last year, she had made friends with several Slytherins, and most of them would no longer talk to her. For instance, Pyro had turned extremely cold and unfeeling after the discovery of their family bonds. She only trusted three Slytherins at Hogwarts, and she wasn't about to let another one in. " Ugh, I don't think can I do this anymore. How about you read my future now?"

Mitch quickly grabbed his bag and pulled out his copy of ''Unfogging the future'' and opened it to the page he'd bookmarked earlier that day he'd heard about how Professor Trelawney liked the readings to be really horrible so he saved the page with the really nasty stuff on it .
Mitch then pulled out some parchment and his long eagle feather quill his father bought him .

Mitch looked in to the crystal ball and he couldn't see anything , then out of no where a cloudy shape appeared he could make it out so he skimmed down the page in unfogging the future to see if anything resembled what he was seeing .Mitch must of checked the page 5 times before finally changing to a different page , Mitch checked the next page and he saw something that resembled what was in the crystal ball it looked like a snake '' Mitch OK i found it , the first shape is a snake which means deception '' Mitch reached over with his free hand and made a quick note then replaced his quill and looked back into the crystal ball .

Mitch had been looking for about a minute before the next shape appeared , it was a lot clearer then the first one so he made it out quickly then his hand shot down the page searching he stopped half way down the page on the shape of a flower , Mitch then continued to explain what he was see '' OK the second shape is a flower and I'm guessing you know what that means '' Mitch made another note then set to finding another shape in the depths of the crystal ball. The next shape appeared and it was that of a key Mitch made another quick note then said '' OK the final shape is that of the key and the means and i quote the key is the symbol for a closed door or a lost path or thing in the life of the person ''.

Mitch quickly checked his notes then said '' so your reading states that , deception will come from something new and you will lose something , thats what i made from the crystal ball anyway '' .
