Beth stopped picking at her food when she noticed a screach from the front of the hall. She saw the slytherin glaring at some students and then grin as he walked out the door. Her stomach jolted as she rose from the table and jabbed Kat in the shoulder, "Let's go," she sighed. I can't believe I am doing this, it's ridiculous... thought one side of Beth but the other was screaming this is going be a blast, I can't wait to see the looks on that ugly care takers face. She decided to let go off her doubt and just have fun. As she headed towards the enormous wooden doors she began to walk faster in anticipation, her new silk robes swaying behind her. She noticed that Kathryn wasn't with her, but it didn't matter, even if Kat backed out she was still going to help. She pushed her hands inside her pockets and felt one of the bags of fireworks beneath her palm. Finally she reached the giant doors and pushed.
"Are you ready," she spat, a little too excited as she saw the Slytherin boy outside the door. She looked over at him and saw something different, it was like she was seeing him for the first time, he somehow looked different.. maybe even cute. His brown locks matched her own and he had sparkling blue eyes that reminded Beth of winter's first icicle dangling from the rooftops. She shook her head trying to push the disturbing image out of her brain, a Slytherin would never look at a venclaw... would they? Beth pushed her silky brown locks from her face, revealing her chocolate brown eyes and then reached around for her book bag. She pulled out the majority of the fireworks and the few dung bombs and looked over to the boy, "Im ready to set them up, you?"
She began to feel disapointed when she noticed that the other two hadn't arrived yet, "I wonder if they saw your signal," she said as she pulled the fireworks from her pocket. "If they don't get here, it might not look as cool, less fireworks and all," she sighed looking at the boy. Was he looking at her? She swore he was so she quickly looked away. what is wrong with you Beth, he's a Slytherin "Alright, let's get going," she snapped, trying to get him angry so she wouldn't keep feeling this way. you're so dumb Beth she thought quietly as the boy went on his way with his fireworks. She continued to look at him, wondering what it was that was drawing her attention. His attitude, sense of adventure, possibly. She suddenly felt stupid, realizing she had never introduced herself, "By the way, my name's Beth," she said holding out her soft tan hand for him to shake, "Second year Ravenclaw."

Kathryn saw her friend go through the doors nearly at a run. Finishing up the last of her pumpkin juice and leaving a huge mound of food still on her plate she stood and followed her friend out the door. Kat's exit didn't grab as much attention as Beth's, but she thought it was better that way. She opened the large doors to find her friend gawking at the Slytherin boy. 'uh...huh...' she thought to herself. She'd seen that look only once before and that was when Beth would stare at Marty Gullens, a seventh year Ravenclaw. She joined the two and smiled as she pulled 10 dungbombs from her pocket and showed them to the others. "So, shall we?" She argued with herself whether or not she should go on with this. ' well the Sorting Hat did say i'd fit in Slytherin...but my brains outweighed my wit...' Her argument was complete, she would go on with the outrageous prank.

Katrina looked down her food, losing all the appetite she had before she met Jack. A few of her friends asked what was wrong, but she just shook them off by saying she had something to do and walked towards the end of the table, where it was empty. Suddenly, the hall went quiet and looked towards the front of the Hall. She followed suit and saw the Ravenclaw girl walk out with the other Raven girl a few meters behind her. She still couldn't believe that she had agreed to a Slytherin. Being angry at herself for thinking something like that, she shook her head and walked towards the door. As she reached it, she slowed down a little and thought Well, this is it I guess. And with that, she pushed the doors open and walked out the Great Hall.
The first thing she saw was that the other three were nearly set up. She walked over towards them and said, "Hi! Sorry I'm late..." She pulled the bags of fireworks from her pocket and laid them on the floor. There was just one thing she had forgotten. "Er...well, you see, I like to know the names of the partners that are going to work with me, so....I'm Kat, short for Katrina. in Gryffindor second year." She took out her hand towards the Ravens, feeling stupid about what she said.

Jack saw the older Raven walk through the doors. "Finally, I was wondering if you were going to come at all!" He moved his fireworks around so there was room for a couple more. He smiled at the Raven and continued working. This girl was much different than Brooke; Brooke had been such a flirt. He was thankful this girl was treating him like a normal Slytherin. Or was she? He could suddenly feel eyes staring at the back of his head. He didn't turn, he just kept on working, trying to ignore the weird sensations in his stomach.
He pushed some of his brown hair out of his eyes but they would just fall back in place. "I really need a cut," He mumbled to himself. The doors opened yet again and the other Raven joined them. Where's Kat? He sighed; she had probably chickened out and stayed in the Great Hall. He should have known. After all, she was a Gryffindor. The doors opened and in came Kat, saying that she was sorry that she was late.
"It's no problem if you can set up those fireworks quickly," Jack told her without looking at her. He was finished with his own and looked up at the girls. Why was he the only boy here? He frowned inwardly. As long was they can do this, I don't care if they're a girls. He smiled to himself about Kat wanting to know who they were. He turned to face them and decided to introduce himself to them, even though he already had to Kat. He shook Beth's hand and then introduced himself.
"Jack, Jack Rendel. Slytherin third year." He grimaced and made himself hold out his hand for them to shake. Not that he wanted them to, but he didn't want this to turn out to be an argument. It was supposed to be fun and enjoyable. So, he waited for the girls to shake it with a blank expression on his face.

Kathryn looked at his hand and hid a look of uncertainty. Shetook it reluctantly and gave a weak smile. "I'm Kathryn Hullens,Ravencalw first year..." She had just realized thatshe was the youngest in their group and felt very out of place. She gave a small wave at the gryffindor girl and smiled, "I go by Kat too, but you all can just call me Kathryn, avoid the confusion." She set up her share of the fireworks and wiped her hands as she finished. Letting out a sigh she turned to Jack, "Where do you want the dungbombs?" She held out the large mound in her hand once more, offereing them to him.

Beth felt reassured as the other two girls showed up, now there would be the big bang she was anticipating. They all introduced themselves, even though she already knew Kathryn, it made her more conmfortable with her surroundings. She worked her way around the other three setting out the fireworks and dungbombs in an orderly manner, being a ravenclaw she was quite a perfectionist. She tried not to look at the boy but it was hard not to notice when his brown locks fell over his gorgeous eyes, it made her tickle all over. She knew he was a Slytherin boy, and she figured that was what was attracting her. He made her feel adventerous, edgy, maybe even dangerous. She had never really been a flirt and she hoped she didn't appear to be flirting now. She was just mesmorized by his eyes and fascinated with his attitude. She looked down and noticed she was done with the fireworks, "Are you all ready," she said excitedly pulling her wand out of her pocket... "Let's set this project off." She looked over at the Slytherin with an anxious look in her eyes waiting for his approval before using the incendio spell she had just learned in charms class. She looked towards him waiting for his the approval shine through the icey blues.

Katrina just shrugged, and went off to set her fireworks. It had been quite a while since the last time she set them, and it took her a little bit longer than everyone else. Trying her best to set it up, she looked up and saw the other three were looking at her. Feeling embarrassed, she lowered her head and continued with her work and finished setting it up with only a few minutes to spare. She looked towards the others and took out her wand saying, "Well, guess this is it. So you guys ready to annoy a squib and his cat?" She smirked and glanced at Jack, waiting for his nod before she did anything.

Kathryn let out a nervous laugh and nodded. What was she risking? 'Stop thinking! she thought, 'He deserves it...especially his snoopy annoying cat!' The only hada few minutes left she got her wand at the ready. She looked to Jack for a sign then around at where she would hide until she could make it seem like she came out with the rest of the dinner crowd.

Jack glanced at the others and gave a small smile to Kathryn. He would really have to wash his hands after this.... He waited impatiently for the others to finish. Kat was done last, and they only had a few moments left. He looked at Beth and then the other two. The dung bombs and the fireworks were arranged in an orderly fashion, thanks to the Raven. He smiled at Beth who was waiting for his approval. He took out his own wand and held it out. "Together than?" He asked quietly. He smiled at Kat.
"I've been ready to do this every since I laid eyes on that filthy Squib!" Jack laughed. This was fun! He could barely believe it. Being with two Ravens and a Gryff, FUN? What the hell am I doing here? Jack mused. He wasn't really sure, after all, these three had wanted to help.... He shook his head and ran a hand through his hair. They had a couple seconds left....
"As soon as we see the first student come through the door, we'll set them off." Jack told the others, his eyes not leaving the heavy oak doors. He looked down at his watch quickly. "Once we set them off, run to the nearest empty classroom. So we can get off without getting caught and watch!" He grinned and then turned his attention back to the doors. They should be coming out any minute now. "Ready!" He called. The doors started opening. Now was there chance.. "Now!" Jack yelled while setting off his fireworks with the Incendio spell he had learned in Charms.

At Jacks words Kathryn set off her fireworks using incendio and bolted to the nearest empty classroom. She left the door slightly ajar and peaked out, green orbs watched the colorful fireworks dance around the entry way of Hogwarts. A slight mischevious smile spread across her lips. She shoved her wand back into her pocket and moved her hand up and began playing with her hair, a horrible habit she had whenever she zoned out. 'I really hope we don't lose house points for this...especially since there's more ravens then slyths or gryffs.'

Purring loudly Mrs. Norris lounged in the windowsill, relaxing in the sunlight. Dinner was about to end though and so it was her job to go supervise the annoying little kids leave the Great Hall. She pranced around the office for a moment pushing off lethargy before brushing against Argus’ legs. “Meow” she said letting him know the time had come if he didn’t already. Stealthy she rushed down the hall and saw four students doing something, she wasn’t sure what. She hid in the nearest classroom and watched them set off fireworks. If a cat could smirk Mrs. Norris most certainly would have; especially when one of the foolish kids ran in with her. Mrs. Norris brushed up on the child’s leg and waited to see her reaction to being caught; Norris could tell all the teachers just who was responsible for this fiasco.

Beth pushed her long brown locks over her shoulder and pointed her wand down at her row of fireworks. "Incendio," she cried and then watched the fireworks begin to light off. She looked towards the older Slytherin boy and smiled, strength and amibition shining in her eyes. She noticed a sparkle in his blue eyes before turning away. She wanted to stay there with him but she didn't have much time to before she had to turn to make her escape. She knew the plan was to run into a classroom but she decided that would make her look much more conspicuous. Instead she decided to tuck her wand into her pocket and walk slowly toward the stairs in order to blend in with the other students who had just left the great hall. She saw a few friends and walked up to them striking a conversation, she wasn't going to get caught. Playing it cool was the way, she continued to walk until seeing the Ravenclaw Common Room Portrait and exiting the staircase. She calmly stated the password and walked through the portrait hole, safe and undetected.

Katrina turned her head around. She thought she had seen Mrs. Norris's shadow lurking near one of the nearest classrooms. She shook her head when she saw nothing and turned her attention back to the fireworks and pulled her wand out. As soon as she heard Jack's words, she used the incendio spell and walked behind Elizabeth to the Gryffindor common room. She turned her head around, but saw a sea of students. She really hoped that Jack and Kathryn were okay.....
