A Meeting ((Brooke))

Maddie walked out of Potions, with oh-so-happy thoughts, because she had no homework! Yay! She was, however, good at Potions, she just didn't wanna have any more homework than she already did for the weekend.

She walked around the halls for a while, and then got annoyed by all the little happy Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs, and sat down on a nearby bench in one of the long, desserted hallways.

Brooke hummed to herself as she walked out of class. Her mind was way out there. She was free!! It was friday her favorite day of the week. No homework.

She walked down the corridor. Two Gryffindor boys were watched them pass her by. Well it was beganing to be a great weekend.

Sighting a almost empty seat she took it with out hesition.

Sitting down she saw a girl about her age. " Hi." She said cheerfully to the Slytherin.

Maddie jumped slightly, when she heard a pretty loud, and cheerful, "Hi!" from someone who had obviously sat down next to her when she wasn't paying any attention. She looked up at the girl, a Ravenclaw. Well, it wasn't that bad, see if it was a Gryff, or a Huffie, she really didn't know what to do about them at the moment.

She eyed the girl carefully and decided to say something, before she started talking again. "Umm... hi." she said awkwardly, and giving her a look as if to say, 'Umm.. why the heck are you talking to me?'.

"Umm... who are you?" she asked suddenly, and yet again, awkwardly.

" Brooke, Brooke Davis." Brooke said eyeing the girl.

The girl said her name simply, and that was it. Maddie took it that this girl was either shy or something, or just didn't talk very much. Oh well.

"Oh," she started. "Umm... hi, Brooke. My name is Madison Kenacheak. But, you can call me Maddie 'cause I don't really like my real first name."

" I like it. Its... proper." Brooke said. Her blonde hair was sitting on her shoulders. She ruffled her hair. So that it played behind her back.

Maddie raised her eyebrows when the girl said that she liked her name, she asid it sounded proper. 'I guess it does, now that I think about it.' she thought to herself.

"Oh well." she said, as she looked back up at the girl and laughed slightly. "I still don't like it very much."

"So," she said, changing the subject. "You got homework?"

" No, no homework. How about you?" Brooke asked. " I love being free. No strings attached." brooke said once again.

"Well, all I have is Tranfiguration. That shouldn't be too hard I guess." she said, now filing her nail with a nail filer that she conjured. When she was bored, she did that kind of stuff. It really made no sense what-so-ever, it was just a habit, that she had.

"So, what do you wanna talk about?" she asked the girl as she put the filler in her pocket, turned slightly on the bench so she was facing Brooke, and hoped that she had something to talk about because Maddie was bored.

" Well I don't know. You know any gossip?" Brooke asked questionaly.


Getting up Brooke pulled her hair into ponytail. With a swish of her wand she made ponytail nee like a horse.

Maddie raised her eyebrows when the girl did that weird thing with her ponytail, and gave her yet another look, as if to say, 'Why on earth did you do that?' She was about to say something along the lines but decided not to.

"Well, not really..." she trailed off. "I love hearing gossip, but, I'm not that good at telling people it. Unless, of course I'm just helping to spread a rumor or something like that." At this, she paused and gave the girl a quick mischevious smile, and then continued, "Well then, you got anything? Is anything interesting going on in Ravenclaw? It's like some huge secret, what goes on in different houses' common rooms, huh? I personally, think it's retarded."

" Don't let this fool you." Brooke said jestering to her hair and crest. " I love to start and spread rumors." Brooke said with a mischezious smile that matched Madisons perfectly. " No , no secerts." brooke heived a sigh of disappionment.

Well, it looked like this Brooke girl did have some things in common with Maddie. "Well, if I don't have any gossip, and you don't have any gossip, what should we do? I don't know about you, but I'm bored." she said, as she faced the girl again.

Just then, one of the first year Gryffindors that were watching and listening in on their conversation, walked past them, but right before she fully past, Maddie stuck out her foot and tripped the little first year, sending her, her bag, and some of the comtents flying. The girl gave her a mad look, but then quickly took her things and ran, as well as the two other Gryffindors that were sitting on a bench about 50 feet away from them.

Maddie then looked up at Brooke after the little people were gone, and said, with a slight laugh in her voice, "Sorry, I just had to do that."

"Don't you just hate those little Huffies and Gryffs?" she sneered.

" Yes so .... I can't find a word for it." Brooke said laughing.

" Well we can start a rumor. Havn't done that in a while." Brooke suggested.

Maddie smiled at her handiwork. At least she had somehow amused one person today. Brooke then suggested that they start a rumor. 'Wow,' Maddie thought to herself. 'It looks like this girl isn't all talk, like most people I know.'

"Great idea!" she said. "I gotta give ya props for that one, ya know, being a Ravenclaw and everything. Are you sure you're not a Slytherin?" she asked as she raised her eyebrow in amusement.

"Well, anyway," she said changing the subject a litte. "Who and what should it be about?"

" The sorting hat considered it but i'm to smart." Brooke said proudly. " Well in case she is your friend don't take this offensivley but , I want to start a rumor on this girl I met. Mack. Shes in your year. And house." Brooke said warming up to the idea.

Brooke explained why she wasn't put into Slytherin, and then suggested if they start a rumor about Mack. 'Well,' Maddie thought to herself. 'I could, I mean, it would be pretty fun... I guess.... Wait a minute! Why am I even thinking this over, I mean, even if Brooke acts like a Slytherin and was close to becoming one, I'm the Slytherin here, so, if I don't wanna do it, I have don't have to listen to a Ravenclaw, even if she is my friend.'

"No." she said, coming out of her thoughts and back to Brooke. "Mack's cool, I know her... sorta... and I don't start rumors about Slytherins... unless they're stupid or Mudblood lovers. But, anyway, it can't be someone in Slytherin, lets lower the catigories to either a Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, sound good?" she asked.

" Oh." Brooke said when Maddie said that Mack was cool. " Well on that There's a problem. I don't know any gryffs or hufflies." Brooke said.

When Brooke admitted that she didn't know any Gryffindors, or Hufflepuffs, Maddie was shocked. I mean, even she knew some, but not very because, unless she felt like making fun of someone, she usually avoided them, because they were just a waste of her breath, unless of course they do something to PO her.

Ravenclaws were ok, but still... a lot of them were friends with the goody-two-shoes houses.

"Well," Maddie started. "I got a great idea! It'll ready stress the younger ones too. Alright, how 'bout we tell someone from Gryffindor or Hufflepuff that Snape's planning a huge end-of-year test for all Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs 3rd year and under? I know, it's sorta corny, but hey, you know how much they study and stress about just Snape's classes, if we tell them that they've got a huge exam waiting for them, they'll go bonkers!" she said, while laughing.

" Lets think. Maybe. I mean what if some one asks what about Ravenclaw and Slytherin? We need to figure this out." Brooke said with doubt.
