Dixie Holden's heels could be heard all the way throughout the school halls. The clicking and pounding of the heels on stone flooring, echoed off and around. People backed away from her, afraid that she would harm them if they looked at her in the least bit of a wrong way. She was extremely mad at her sister, Mackenzie. Forget the fact that she left home and is living somewhere, Dix had no clue, but she was dating a Ravenclaw! A Slytherin and a Ravenclaw! Who would have ever thought that?! She was not worthy of the Slytherin crest. The crest which was positioned above her right breast, the snake around the S symbolized who they were and where they came from. Mack abused that, in more ways than one. And Dix hoped to God that she could show her sister little mercy for what she did to the Holden name.
The sun was slowly setting beyond the scottish hills, casting shadows on the walls of the castle. Dix's eyes stayed ahead and she continued down the corridor with a penetrating walk. She was ready to kill. Ready to harm. She was seeing red. And it was about time she confronted her sister about what she was doing. Dixie had on good authority that Mack was in the Room of Requirement at the moment, and at the moment that was where Dix was heading. Her sister may know how to harm her in a physical way, but Dix had more power with words. Dix could manipulate and penetrate Mack, and she was going to do just that. Her poor baby sister. Poor baby sister, her ass. Dixie turned a sharp corner, and walked down another long corridor.
A moment later, Dix threw open a door, and stepped inside the room of requirement. Her copper brown hair pulled into a tight ponytail, with two strands of hair framing her face, "MACKENZIE SARA HOLDEN!" Dix screamed. Her sister sat in the middle of the room, surrounded by books and parchment and quills and ink. Dix kicked at a book, and it went flying across the room, hit the opposite wall and then slid to the floor, "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?! DATING A RAVENCLAW! HOW DO YOU THINK THAT MAKES US LOOK?!" Dix continued screaming, knowing how this was going to end.

She thought it had all blown over, left the place and had gone with the wind. Oh, how she was wrong. Mack was just minding her own business, finishing some essays and such when the door to the room of requirement burst up and her older sister, Dixie entered the room. Mack looked up just in time for the 16 year old to kick the nearest book and start screaming at her. Mack crossed her arms and just looked up at her sister, waiting for this little tantrum to finish. And when it had, Mack stood up slowly and looked straight at Dix.
The two Holden girls were having a stare down, the older one who was beautiful in everyway, and the younger one who was plain. The copper brunette, and the light golden blonde. The chocolate eyed, and the ice eyed. Two different people, same bloodline. Mack finally decided to say something, "What does it matter? I am no longer a Holden anyway, correct? I have left the family and do not have any plans to return. Why does it interest you what I do or who I am with? It doesn't endanger your social status...much." Mack spoke in a smooth tone, not really fazed by her older sister's attitude.
"And on that note," She added after a moment, "you have always said that I could never be with anyone who truely loved me. I have proved you wrong Dixie. Tristan does love me! FOR ME! Maybe that's what I see in him, maybe that's why I am willing to risk everything to be with him!" Mack glared and shook her head in disgust at Dix. She hated her family.

Dix laughed at her sister. How naieve she was.
"Mack, sad poor little Mack, you really think he loves you my dear sister?" Dix leaned against a wall and looked at her younger sister.
"You are so innocent, Mack. And yet you hold the destruction of our family in your greedy hands!" Dix screamed. She took out her wand and shot a magic beam towards the stone wall. Dust happened and she scowled again.

Mack looked up at her sister. Hatred boiling even more in her bones. She felt tears reach her eyes, and she stood up trying to hide her hurt and disguise it as anger, "Dix just leave me alone. You've done enough damage already." She told her in a soft whisper. But she knew her sister wouldn't back away. Dix never backed away. Never. And she didn't know what to say or do, because Dix had power over Mack. More than anyone could imagine.
"Please. Just go..." She added in a sadder tone. She wanted to dissolve into her studies. To let loose into the world of Charms, Transfiguration, and Potions. She didn't want to be Mackenzie anymore. She wanted to be someone else. In someone elses life. Someone elses skin.

Cass walked down the hallways as she heard the screaming start. Still holding her books in her hand, she walked to the source of the sound. Did people really need to scream that loud to get there point across? Getting closer to the sound, it was something about dating a Ravenclaw?! Who would worry about dating Ravenclaw? Cassie had just recently been through with her recent relationship with Pyro. Their relatiohship almost ruined his reputation at the school, and she felt completely responsible for it. Then, just a few weeks after they broke up, his father disowned him. She sighed as she walked upon the scene.
Mackenzie Holden was being yelled at what looked like an older Slytherin. She didn't know the older girl, but Mack was allright. She had met her on two different occasions, and she seemed like a normal girl. Cass knew that Slytherins could change in a heart beat. Pyro, who she once considered a really good friend, wouldn't even talk to her since she caught him trying to blackmail another friend of hers. Cass continued to watch the scene. Mack had been disowned....
At this point, Cass couldn't help but walk in on the conversation. " If you please, I don't think it is very smart to air your families dirty laundry in the hallway. I wouldn't be too upset about her dating a Ravenclaw however. It could be worse, she could be dating a Gryffindor, or maybe a Hufflepuff. Think of the family disgrace!" Cassie's face faked a look of embarrasment at the mere thought.
Continuing to look at the girl, Cassandra put her hand on her wand. " Now, I suggest, you hurry along. Don't think I would actually let you do something to your sister. No one hurts my friends, not even their families." She stared Dixie down, knowing she wouldn't expect a third year Gryffindor to call her out.

Dix had done damage? What damage had Dix done? She raised an eyebrow at Mack and tried to think of something to say. She was thoroughly upset with this 14 year old, and she wanted to harm her in every possible way, but Dix held back some of her anger and lowered her wand. Biting her tongue and sipping back poison. She was about to speak when someone else entered the conversation. A Gryffindor with a sour tongue. Dix looked at this third year and narrowed her eyebrows. How dare this girl speak to her like that?!
"Run along girlie, this is a personal matter. Invitation only. And you don't have one." Dix spoke slowly, so the Gryffindor could understand what she was saying. Dixie looked from the Gryffindor to Mack, they had met before. The girl had called Mack a friend, Dix eyes flashed as she cornered Mackenzie again, "You've been befriending mudbloods?!" She asked, the disgust apparent in her voice. Dixie kicked at another book, and as it flew into the air she flicked her wand at it and it burst into pieces. She took a step toward Mack and put her wand to the younger girls chin.
"Listen to me, Mackenzie. You get your act together or I will tell mum and dad everything. Believe me, they don't know about this. I would hate to be you when they find out. If you don't," Dix pressed her wand harder on Mack's throat, "hell will happen. Clear?" She asked, not backing down.

Mack looked at Cass, the girl who had told her to go to the infirmary after she had hurt her ankle. She had too. Mack shook her head rather harshly at the Gryffindor, trying to tell her that this wasn't the best time. And then Cass spoke. Calling Mack her friend, and a small smile crossed the 14 year old's lips. She looked back at Dix and waited for her reply. But, within moments a wand was drawn at her chin and Dix was threatening her. MAck was never one for threats. She brought her arm up and quickly swiped at the wand, it fell from Dix's hand and rolled across the floor. Mack brought her wand out and placed it at Dix's chin.
"No. You listen. My act is together. My so called family doesn't care about this. I've shamed you enough. So what is it to add on to this?! I could really care less if you told mum and dad. I doubt they would even waste their time on me. I am not important enough." Mack pressed harder on her wand, her eyes going to Cass then back to Dix, "Now. Apologize to my friend." She spoke rather harshly. But, she knew the older Holden wouldn't do anything of the sort.
