Caiest sighed and threw off the covers. The stupid nightmares she'd had as a kid were back. This nightmare had been the same as always. She was being chased down a dark desserted hallway and her follower was nothing but a dark shadowy mass. She kept running and running going through room after room until she reached a room with no exit. The room is very small and cramped almost no room to move. As if that isn't bad enough the attacker closes the door sealing her in and then the room begins to fill up. Blood is pouring in from the ceiling and bursting from the walls. Caiest can feel herself drowning in it can almost taste it. And always just before the room is completely filled Caiest wakes up drenched in a cold sweat. Caiest hated those nightmares as they consist of her two worst fears. She is Claustorphobic having a phobia of small enclosed spaces and hemophobic which is a phobia of blood. No one knew about her fear of small spaces as she'd never told a soul. Dana and Cassandra knew about her fear of blood however as they'd been there when she had failed to conquere a boggart. The boggart had turned into herself covered in blood. No one knew about the dreams not even her parents.
Caiest got up from the bed and quietly dressed. There was no way she'd be able to go back to bed at this rate. She threw on her favorite skater shirt which had the Element Logo emblazoned on it and a pair of baggy well worn jeans. She finished tying her pink and black pair of Etnies before she tiptoed out of the dormitry. Once in the Commonroom she breathed a sigh of relief there wasn't much chance of her waking anyone up when she was in here. She quickly made her way across the room and out of it. Once in the halls Caiest made sure she kept to the shadows she sure didn't want to get caught by Filch or his filthy cat. As she was walking she heard a noise. Walking carefully and quietly she went to investigate it.

Tristan ran down the corridor. Filch was on his tail and if he was cought at this hour in the corridor he was as good as dead. He rounded a corner, his footsteps resounding along the dark corridor, bouncing of the cool stone. ***THUD*** Tristan had run into somthing. A person he thought. And he fell to the ground, his head spinning. Peeling himself of the floor he looked at the unfortunate victim of his clumsyness. It was Caiest Raven. Tristan had seen her aroound before. She was in his year and a few of his classes. "Hey. I am ... SO sorry!" Tristan said breathlessly. Just then he heard foot stepts. "Quick! follow! Filch!" Tristan was having trouble stringing a sentence together so he just climbed to his feet, grabbed Caiest's hand and began running, hoping for her sake that she would follow.

Caiest had just rounded the corner when something or someone slammed into her. Luckily thanks to her intense martial arts training she was able to take the fall properly and not hurt anything. She stood up and brushed herself off. The person who'd run into her was none other then Tristan Wardle. Tristan was in her year and she'd never talked to him except for once when she'd been exploring with Dana and Cassandra and that hadn't gone to well as Caiest had been extremely rude. She opened her mouth to say something to him but didn't get a chance as he mumbled words like Quick, Follow and Filch before grabbing her hand and running.
Caiest assumed he was trying to get her to run but never the less she broke his hold on her before running with him. It wasn't personal Caiest just wasn't the touching type. They rounded a corner and Caiest saw an opened classroom. "Quick in here." She said and ran in letting him in as well before closing the door and sealing it. She peeked outside and saw Filch run on by. Breathing a sigh of relief she turned to face Tristan. "Filch see who you were?" She asked hoping he hadn't she didn't want Ravenclaw to loose points Dana would be furious with the both of them.

"No..." Tristan panted, leaning against the wall, "He didn't see who I was. I heard him behind me asking who I was and I ran for it before he got a chance." Tristan looked up at Caiest. She didn't seem too mad with him, which was good. Tristan noticed she had broken his grip. He didn't take it personally. From what he knew of Caiest she wasn't a touvhy feelly person. "Listen, I'm so so SO sorry." Tristan's beathing was returning to normal, "I just didn't want to loose house-points." His past experience with Caiest hadn't been the most pleasent in the world, but she did look in a better mood and Tristan thought she would probably be forgiving.

Caiest gave a sigh of relief. Personally she didn't care about house points but she knew how much Dana wanted to win the house cup so she generally tried to avoid losing points. "That's good because Dana would kill you." She said walking farther into the room so that she could sit on an empty desk. She hopped up and sat so that her legs dangled over the top of the desk. She took a good look at Tristan for the first time. Sure he was in her house but she didn't socialize with people in there the only exception to that rule was Dana. Now that they were alone she felt kind of bad that she had never given him the time of day. After all he had been nice enough to warn her of Filch. "You're Tristan right?" She asked she was pretty sure that was his name but she wasn't 100% sure so she felt it was safer to ask.

"Yes." Tristan nodded, "Tristan Wardle. And you're Caiest right?" Tristan pulled a chair off one of the classroom desks and placed it on the floor and sat on it. He had been studying late in the library and look where it had got him! Studying extra got him running down a dark corridor from an evil school caretaker who likes to torture children and has horrendously smelly breath. Tristan chuckled to himself and shook his head. how ridiculous. Tristan decided to check if Filch was still nearby. He walked over to the door and poked his head out. Looking from left to right he noticed nothing unusual. He turned back to the room when he heard a sudden noise...

Caiest smiled as Tristan told her he'd gotten his name right and asked her hers. "Yep I'm Caiest the one and only." She said a small smile still on her face. For some reason she'd been in a better mood lately. More social and her tolerance for others had improved. She was glad that she had the nightmare it was about time she made more friends. After all term would end soon and when that happened if she didn't have friends then she'd spend yet another year all alone in that huge house. She was so absorbed in her thoughts that she didn't even notice Tristan check for Filch. A noise startled her out of her musings and almost instantly she had her wand out pointed in the direction of the noise. "Did you hear that or am I just going stark raving mad?" She asked Tristan not daring to take her eyes off the spot where her wand was pointed.

Tristan waved his wand in front of him, "Lumos!" He'd had bad experiences with strange noises and he wasn't about to face anything that was potentially dangerous without a wand, "What do you think it is?" Tristan whispered, feeling a chill go down his spine. He relyed heavily on his eye sight and he didn't like it when he couldn't see anything when he was in a dark, haunted castle at night.
Not that he was afraid of any of the ghosts. Well that wasn't true. There was one ghost he was a little afraid of. The bloody baron. Tristan had been walking down a corridor once in his first year and had heard a heavy breathing. when he had turned around the bloody baron was breathing down his neck (so to speak) and his blood stains shimmered eerily. That was Tristan's first experience with a ghost and it had certainly been a negative one. Tristan wondered what the noise had been anyway and he tried to force his ears to tune into the slightest of noises.

Caiest cursed herself inwardly for forgetting to light her wand. "Lumos." She muttered and went to stand next to Tristan. She wasn't scared per say she was worried that it would be a boggart. She wasn't very good when it came to conquering boggarts. No whenever she came face to face with one she generally broke down. After all how do you make something that looks like yourself covered in blood funny? No she would rather it be Filch then a boggart. Not wanting to seem like a coward Caiest took a tentative step forward. The light revealed a tiny little kitten and Caiest breathed a sigh of relief.
"It's just a kitten. I wonder why a kitten is here all alone." She said pocketing her wand and picking up the tiny little creature. The kitten was a cute one it was all black except for a tiny patch of white on the side of it's nose. Caiest wasn't generally one to like animals but this one was so cute that she couldn't help but feel happy when it purred for her.

Tristan laughed as Caiest picked up the kitten. "I can't believe that's all it was. A cute little kitten." Tristan petted the kitten and it licked his hand affectionately. He liked cats … at times. There were the times when they were cute and cuddly, like now, and then there were the timed when they were mean and liked to scratch people and hiss at them. This cat was pretty good. It was completely black except for a patch of white around its right eye. “I hope nobody has lost him!” Tristan said, “They must be going out of their mind with worry. Maybe we should take it to a teacher. Oh … no…” Tristan remembered they were here in the middle of the night and if they fetched a teacher they would get into big trouble. “Perhaps we should look after it till morning and put a sign up on the noticeboard in the common room.”<br>
