Night set onto the school and its grounds. A full moon was high in the sky, noteing the late hour. All students were suppost to be in bed, or at least their own Common rooms. But there was a single boy who dare not to abide by any rules of the school. Why should he when he knew he would never get expelled. He was one of those 'free spirits' you could say. Always doing what he chose; not the school or anyone else for that matter. He was Draco Malfoy.
It was a cool night, only because the fire in the main hallway died down which set in a cool chill around the school. The hallways were lit with an eerie glow of low burning flame. Wearing his Slytherin cloak, Draco walked the halls with nobility. Of course if he saw someone walking towards him he would swifty move into a darkened corridor; but he walked with his head raised high as his cold blue eyes scanned the halls for another moving object.
Walking up two flights of stairs, Draco arrived on the seventh floor. It was the darkest floor. His eyes adapted to the change in light tone as he went down the middle hallway. It was a friday night- well Saturday morning; and he didnt feel like sleeping through tonight. Needing to write an OWL to his father, he searched for a secluded room. Walking towards the end of the hallway. Turning towards a lone door, Draco turned the knob and walked in. A window in the room was allowing just enough amount of moon light, so he would be able to read what he was writting. Taking out his wand, he tapped the table in front of him three times. On his first tap a peice of parchment appeared. His second, a jar of ink appeared, and lastly on his third; a ruby colored quill sat delicatly over the parchment. Flicking his wand a chair moved from the wall towards the desk, making it easier to commidate his needs. Sitting down, Draco dipped his quill into the ink and began his letter.

Sleeping was out of the question, she had too many things to think about. Dix sat in her dorm, her legs swinging over the side of her bed, her hands in her lap, and her brown eyes looking around the silent room. She clicked her tongue in pure boredom, and looked down at her feet. Dixie hadn't been sleeping well for the past two weeks, she figured there was something wrong with her...but would never admit to someone other than her sister. Maybe it was the fight she had with Kori, or maybe it was just the fact that she didn't want to sleep. Either way, Dix was up Friday night...doing absolutely nothing.
Finally, realizing she had nothing better to do, Dix stood up and slipped on her shoes...then twirled her cloak on over her shoulders. She grabbed her brown hair and pulled it out of the collar before heading to the common room. She needed to get out of this place. What she was going to do, she wasn't quite sure of at the moment, but she was going to do something...even if it meant wandering the halls of the school aimlessy. Which she did often enough. The candles danced in the candleholder, the flames casting the shadows of past forms or stories as Dixie walked through them. Do I dare disturb the universe? The quote echoed in her mind, over and over. Why Dix continued to think about it, was a simple answer. She had disturbed the universe, and as it may very well do nothing...she was afraid something might happen.
Like people following her, Dix could hear the chanting...but when she glanced behind her...there was no one there. Dix breathed in sharply, she was being paranoid. Nothing to be paranoid about...just...she could've sworn-oh forget it. It was nothing Dix. Just...your imagination. She put her hand to her forehead and rubbed the bridge of her nose with her index finger, she was going insane! Dixie crossed her arms, and blew out as she walked up a flight of stairs. The last flight of stairs. She stopped walking a bit, just to look around her...7th floor. Dix continued down the hallway, she reached a door...to a room she had been in before...actually that was the room she had studied in. Dix pushed it open, thinking now above all times would be a good time to study. Oh how wrong was she. The room was already occupied, and by the crest on the cloak Dix knew it was a Slythern. She sighed, "You could lose points for us you know. Being out after curfew and all." Dix said in greeting, her voice hoarse from not talking much.

Draco's quill was scratching the parchment. He was furious with a few things going on in the school, and he was sure to tell his father about it. His father seemed to have Dumbledore under his thumb now adays. Pushing a finished paper aside he moved on to parchment number two. The clock tower chimed as it reached some 'o clock. He was too busy to think of the time. But suddenly he heard the door open in front of him. A body stood there silently as it spoke. A girl's tone. Draco didn't care. He didn't even glace up to see who it was. All he noted was she said 'us' which ment she was a Slytherin as well. Speaking in his normal arrogent tone, he stated flatly, "Well then, I advise you to go back to bed before you get yourself in more trouble than you can handle."
Still scratching away, Draco went about his owl; but he stopped as he lost his train of thought. "Damn girl. Made me loose my spot!" He spoke as he looked up for the first time. A girl with dark hair and dark eyes stood in front of him. The door wide open behind her. "If you aren't going to leave, close the door. I wouldn't want a gala be begin." he said as he placed his quill into his ink jar and sat back in his chair. ".. And, you are?" he said as he expected an introduction. He didn't talk to many people younger than his year. And she deffinatly was younger.

"Damn!" She muttered under her breath. Draco Malfoy. All her five years at Hogwarts she had somehow dodged meeting him, and now just had to be the time didn't it? Dix didn't speak until he was through. She kicked the door shut and leaned up against it, her eyes staring straight at him, "Dixie Holden. And no need asking who you are...your majesty," Dixie said majesty with a sarcastic splat to it. Dixie rolled her eyes and whipped her bangs out of her eyes. She did this when she was agitated or just bored. Right now it was a mixture of both. She didn't comment on the 'you' thing, Dix rarely got caught out past curfew...she was too invisible to be seen.
"And I'm so so so terribly sorry about making you lose your place, that was totally my fault..." Dix's voice was back to full potential, and she was letting it show. Her sarcasm oozing off every word. She was definitely not in the mood to play nice, and apparently neither was he. She slid down the wall, and rested her head on the door, her lids closed over her eyes. She wished she could fly away from this place, like that was going to happen. She peeked one eye open and looked at him, awaiting his response...if there was going to be one. If there wasn't she wasn't going to waste her time here.

Draco sat back and crossed his arms over his chest as he listened to the girl rant and rave. She seemed like she was going to spit fire any second, with no reason at all. Maybe to his favor she would spontaneously combust. Tapping his fingers on his left arm his face with annoyance just listened. She seemed like a wonderful actress, yelling one second, falling quiet the next, and starting all over again. When she finally stopped her rant, Draco spoke, as he clapped his hand. "Good show, dear Ms. Holden. Ever think of becomming an actress?" Draco paused as his sly grin washed off his face. He started again, "What in Voldemort's name have I ever done to you! We've never spoke before, Nor have I ever heard your name. And you dare to yell like a banchee to me with no rhyme or reason!" Draco pushed back as he saw her one eye open from her position by the door. "Such an attitude, If you really don't choose to be in the same room as me- Leave as you must."
Picking up his wand and flicked it towards the door. The door slammed open as it pounded off the wall. Draco didn't see what the movement of the door did to her, due to the fact she was out of sight. The table in front of him was in the way. Draco didn't like the fact that this young girl was ticked off for no reason. Of course everyone sheltered anger, but this girl seemed like she was about to kill someone.

Dix raised her hand, and pushed the door closed again before standing up, "I'm not leaving. I have just as much a right to be in here as you do. If you have a problem with that, tough. I'm staying whether you like it or not. Though, you're free to leave. I have no problem with you leaving." Dixie spoke, she made her way to the back of the room and sat down at a desk, she tapped the top of with her wand...and a book appeared. She flipped open the cover and became completely absorbed in the words. After reading one page, she put the book down,
"And for the record. I don't have a problem with you, I have done well avoiding you and those you are with for the past years and I don't want to break that now. There are the people I give my time to and the people who aren't worthy. You just don't fit in either. If you insist on throwing tantrums as before, I know perfectly well which category you would fall under." Dix smiled smuggly and went back to her book. Her eyes scanning the page. She really had no problem with him, never really ever talked to him...first time meeting him too. She was just having a bad day and he was the closest person to take it out on...
"By the way, if I did yell like a banshee...you would probably be bleeding about now..." She said as an after note, her voice flat as she continued to read. Dix was quite enjoying this, even though there was a chance she would forget it all in a couple of hours. Her finger turned the page, and she continued to read by the little moonlight there was.

Draco yawned as Dix kept ranting. Must be that time of the month. He thought as a pleased grin appeared on his face. She went on about how he could leave if he wanted to. "I never said I had a problem with you. Jumping to conclusions silly girl." Draco spoke in a normal tone now. It was late- he was busy- he just wanted to write an OWL, she was the one who bardged in on him and started a riot.
Periodically, she spoke up- grasping attention as she spoke in broken sentances. "Temper Tantrum, me? Excuse me, but you were the one falling against the door, sigh, Look at me, sigh." Draco acted like her as he placed the back of his hand on his forhead acting like a girl in distress that you would see in those old wizarding movies. Dix went on again, saying Draco wasn't ever worth his time. "So, you've been thinking of me every moment of your life since you joined Hogwarts. Sad life dearest, very sad. I dont care how you think of me. I rather be your enemy. I only befriend people who have dignity and respect towards themselves and other. You do not fall under that list." Draco spoke flatly as he didn't even move to look at her behind him. She wasn't worth a second glance.
Draco didn't mind if she followed him back to the common room- he had patientce. Well, some. To him she just seemed like she was striving for attention. She was getting kicks out of being in the same room as Draco, he was ready to play any game she had in mind. He had a few tricks up his sleeves- as he knew she was merely running out of hers.

Dixie laughed and placed the book back down, clearly not moved by his taunting, "Wow, you are a selfish prat aren't you?" That was all she said. She wasn't annoyed anymore, simply bored. If he kept trying to make her mad, it wasn't going to work. Too bad she didn't have any of that tonic to spill on him like she had Desiray. Now, that would be something... She thought. There were some words he said that made Dix think for a moment, but she quickly moved past that and payed no attention to him. Then he started to make fun of her, Dix stood up...so aprubtly her chair flew against the wall. Her palms on the table in front of her. She glared daggers at him.
"What the hell did I do to you? Besides coming in here and 'interupting' whatever the hell you were doing?" Dix spat, her anger flaring. She wasn't exactly confused, just a bit more agitated than before, and when she was agitated she was extremely blind to things. Before she had been bored, all he was doing was talking...now she was angry. She hadn't done anything for him to make fun of her about. She didn't sigh, she was simply thinking. Something he probably couldn't relate to.
She wasn't one to judge though, not really knowing him, but he probably had a better life than her and he had no place to stand there and exaggerate her actions. Don't judge someone until you've walked two moons in their moccasins. Dix remembered that saying, and she was a better person to go by it...better than other people. By this time he was continuing to talk, this is what Dix heard "blah blah blah, list, blah blah blah." She didn't really give a damn what he was talking about. She was now seeing red.

"Selfish, I don't see how I have deprived you of anything. So I must disagree." Draco said flatly as he tapped excess ink off of his quill. Hearing behind him the girl's chair bang into the wall, Draco saw the room get darker. It seemed as if a cloud moved in front of the moon; dimming the only light within the room. Draco picked up his wand as he tapped the ink jar. The Ink burst into a shining silver glow. It was an easy spell, something he learned when he was very young. Sudden she began to yell, again. Draco sat as he signed the bottom of the letter. He listened to what she had to say. Of course in an argument you have to listen as well as speak truthfully, obviously something this girl could not do.
Folding his two peices of parchment, he placed them inside his cloak pocket. Standing up, Draco turned around to see exactly where the girl was. He saw her in the corner behind him up on her feet shooting death glares at him. Pushing himself up- he sat on the table facing her. He spoke just as tick as she did- "You hit it right on the nose, Missy. You interupted me, plain and simple. Plus, You spat an evil tone with me first. I didn't even know who the hell you were untill spoke to me! You deffinatly don't know how to show any type of dignity for your family, yourself, or to people older and more superior than yourself." Draco said as he finished and spit on the floor a feet inches away from the girl's feet.
Draco knew this girl was a simple minded twit, and in deffinate needs of anger managment.

Dix was ready to leave. She had had enough of this Draco Malfoy, and right now all she wanted to do was read. But before she could actually leave, he said something more. And Dix just had to comment on it. She stared right at him, a smile on her face, "I don't care about my damn dignity, nor what my family thinks. For all I care, people can think whatever the hell they want about it. I show my respect to my elders, but you don't qualify as an elder. You need to grow up before you can be an elder to me. And superior? You? Don't make me laugh. You're no more superior to me then my sister is." Dixie was through with this. She wanted to leave. But she didn't dare move her feet towards the door. She stayed planted in her spot. Her eyes not leaving the cold stare.
I brought myself into this...I could have just stayed in the dorm, but no. I had to come here and get into this. Dixie thought, pressing her palms into the table top. She could feel the muscles tighten below her hand, in her wrist. She could feel the blood pulsing through her and reaching her head, so she continued to see red. Her anger was rising steadily, and she wanted it to settle down a bit, she didn't want to be angry. She knew her blood pressure was rising, and Dix pushed the thought that if she grew any more angry she wouldn't be able to hold back.

Draco listened to her as she raised her voice at him. He didn't mind one bit. Crossing his arms at his chest, his cold blue eyes looked at her full of languid. He wasn't angry, or was he frustrated. He wasn't enjoying this meeting either, he just thought that this girl will to pass just like all the other had as well. She actually seemed like she was having fun, which pushed Draco. He wanted to see her breaking point. He wanted to see what made her cry at night, he wanted to see how far she could be pushed untill she cracked. She didnt move at all. She was spitting all of her anger out. She was intriguing. It seemed as if she was harboring so much anger over a period of time and now was the time to let it out. Or he could be wrong- this could be her true calling. Either or, Draco had to watch her. She was quite the show.
When she finished speaking, Draco added. "Elder, no. An Elder I am not. Nor have I ever said I was. You are twisting my words again, dear. Did you know you do that a lot from time to time?" Draco spoke in his normal tone. He wasn't in the mood to raise his voice. His regular vain tone was all he need. "... But a superior I am. I have no reason to show you. It is common sense." Draco finished with a sadistic grin. Unraveling his crossed arms, Draco placed his hands on the table behind him for a more comfortable stance.
