((its short I know, but the teachers is stalking around. *glares and shoots teacher with blowdart*))
Goyle walked down the corrider grumbling to himself. Great, transfiguaration homework had been tough, not to mention all his other classes. He had found one genious in the school that went to the same classes. Goyle had tracked him down and tried to get the answers to the homework. But the little weed had managed to slip away. Goyle had taken up the chase after the kid but unfortunatly Goyles girth and weight got the better of him and he tired out to soon and lost the race.
Now he walked at a steady speed down the hall wearing a scowl and glaring at anyone who didnt move out of his way fast enough. He nearly killed a thrid year as the kid didnt move fast enough, instead of just bumping into him, Goyle walked into him and kept going, walking right over the kid and never even giving him a look. Goyle was on the hunt for that little weed. he believed the kid to be a ravenclaw so goyle stalked the halls and corriders near where he heard the ravenclaw common room was. The kid wouldnt get away from this time If goyle ever found him.

Dana stretched lazily and rolled her head around a couple of times as she was loungingly making her towards her common room. It had been a long day and her neck and shoulders were a bit dense and sore from crouching over her books for the better part of the day. Digging out an apple from her bag Dana bit into it, savoring the taste, as she hadn’t had too much time to eat during lunch, as she had been revising for a test. “Dana!” came a breathless gasp and another Ravenclaw appeared by Dana’s side. Dana greeted the boy with a calm smile – they weren’t really friends, but they talked from time to time.
“Going to the common room? Would be wise. Goyle is coming this way and he’s after me! RUN!” the guy spluttered out in between gasps and raced towards the direction of the common room in his hurry pulling the bag from Dana’s shoulder. “Hey,” Dana shouted after the guy, but he had already rounded the corner so Dana rolled her eyes, “Sometimes I really don’t want to know what goes on in a guys head.”
Turning around to see what had scared the guy off Dana almost smirked seeing Goyle. Honestly – why were so many students afraid of the ‘Slytherin Trio’. Or actually of Malfoy and his body-guards. Crabbe and Goyle weren’t really the brightest persons and Dana honestly didn’t see what was there t fear about them.
“Lost, Goyle? I would have thought that even your brain could already memorize the path from your common room to the Great Hall,” Dana mocked calmly. True – the guy hadn’t been her good friend, but he was a fellow Ravenclaw, so Dana would give him time to get away, “Maybe you should stick to your other half Crabbe. Or hang onto Malfoy’s cloak like a baby hangs to her mother’s apron strings.”
Dana did a rather good SLytherin-like sneer towards the guy, not being intimidated the least. She knew how to protect herself and was rather known for a quick wand, when someone managed to piss her off completely, even though those occasions were rare. As the appetite of this particular Slytherin was well known and laughed about over the school as well as some others, Dana almost teasingly took a bite out of her apple. Maybe a quick verbal sparr would help her relax from her day. Even though Goyle’s part in it would be doubtful.
((No worries. And I know what you mean about school - can't wait for the spring break))

Goyle heard the voice of his prey comming from around the corner. he picked up his speed and came around the corner but was to late. all that stood there was a older girl. She looked to be about a year younger than him. He recognized her, he had seen her around, but that was it..Dara...Darla...Darlia...Somewhere along those lines is what she was called.
he turned his full attention at her as she asked him if he was lost. it didnt dawn on him that she was insulting him. He shook his head. "no, looking for something." He said to her. But she didnt stop there, infact. She went on and it was quite easy for him to tell she was insulting him. his eyes narrowed and he crossed his arms in front of his chest. it was true to some extent. Him and crabbe were basicly the other halfs to each other. But this year he had hardly spent any time with Crabbe, or draco for that matter.
Goyle racked his brain but couldnt find a suitable comeback. So instead he took a step toward her. "Id watch what you say." he took another step. "your in luck, dont have time to be messing around with you right now." he began to walk again, if she refused to move he opted to just bowl her over.

((Is it okay if I play the little boy? It's okay I you don't want me to. My character does get top marks and is unusually short and skinny.))

“Looking for a boy perhaps? Who you could bully to do something you need?” Dana asked bitingly. She was outgoing and active, but she still had enough of Ravenclaw in her to not approve of cheating and not doing one’s own home-work, “Won’t work with me. Besides the boy is long gone already.” Dana commented dryly, crossing her own arms over her chest and sending a level stare at Goyle, not intimidated at all. ‘Maybe all those Slytherin friends I have, have had an impact on me’ Dana thought as she sneered at Goyle arrogantly. Then again – maybe some arrogance was bnorn into her as well – she was the grand-daughter of very charismatic, powerful and smart people after all. And Dana had been brought up to be one of the best. “Watch what I say? Oh, did you just try to insult me? Try again – you really need a lot of work with that,” Dana smirked – she had learned only a little of martial arts, but enough to protect her. And if it would pull down Goyle’s arrogance, then she could live with a few bruises for that, “And if you think your size scares me, then you are wrong once again. It might work on some first or second. Even a third year, but you really doesn’t impress me.”
((Works for me as well, but as you joined just now, I' won't start changing my post. ;D Take care of my bag, will ya? ))

Goyle wasnt used to this. Usually it was his size that intimidated people and he got out of having to do a lot of fighting using that size as a forefront. But that didnt go to mean he didnt know how to fight when the time came. He also wasnt a noobie to wizard duelling. All in all Goyle could hold his own very well against some people older than him. But he had never met this kind of arrogant resistance from anyone, besides maybe the Potter crew.
he silently wished that Draco was here. The insults was draco's department. But he was confident that he could handle this without Draco. He put an even stare on the Girl. "Intimidated or not. It would be good for you to move and mind your own business."

Dana almost laughed out loud at the momentary confusion on Goyle’s face. Obviously the boy wasn’t used the kind of behavior Dana had, nor the fact someone showed an attitude towards them, so the glare he turned towards her, didn’t bother Dana. Besides she had seen worse. Yawning Dana observed her nails and flexed her fingers, brushing off a non-existent piece of dust from her ring: “But I don’t have anything else to do and if I can’t find a better opponent for a verbal spar than you, then I have to satisfy myself with the amusement I get from picking on you. It is about time someone pulled you as well as Crabbe and Malfoy to earth once again. You could probably use a nice kick in the butt as well, to get your head out of it, but I think I’d hurt my leg more, if I tried it in reality.”
Dana locked her eyes with Goyles and sneered arrogantly: “So what are you going to do, as I’m not moving. Go looking for ‘poor ole Draco’ while crying? Pout? Get to hungry to do anything else and die of hunger in front of the doors leading to Great Hall?” Dana’s eyes glinted with mischief as she calmly looked at Goyle while finishing off her apple, wondering how long it would take for the older but much slower and less sharper Slytherin to process her words and to react. She was almost waiting to see it.

Her words processed in his mind. Although, a lot of the meanings sliped by him. But he easily understood that she was insulting him and not backing down either. There was no way Goyle could win in a verbal fight with her. He wasnt quick or bright enough for that. And a straight out fight or duell with her would probebly end with both of them getting seriously hurt. A smirk began to form on his lips. Years of hanging with Draco had begun to rub off on him.
Goyle steped up to her locking glares with her. Goyle growled. "I dont have time for you right now." He turned around and began to walk off. As soon as his back was to her his hand sliped into a fold in his robe and he grasped his wand. He spun around as fast as his size would allow, bringing his wand foreward. "Petrificus Totalus!" He yelled. pointing his wand at her.

Dana let out a small chuckle as Goyle turned to leave but kept herself wary. Slytherins were sneaky and Dana wasn’t a fool. When Goyle shouted “Petrificus Totalus” to her, Dana still was a bit surprised but not shocked. Throwing her whole body right the thought ‘dueling is not allowed in corridors’ flashed through Dana’s mind, making her almost grin as her own wand appeared in her hand. “Protego!” Dana shouted and the magical barrier appeared in front of her, but her left hand and leg were already hit by the spell though. Dana’s right wand-hand was free though so she sent an almost malicious grin towards Goyle twirling her wand once.
“Tarantallegra!” Dana shouted pointing her wand towards Crabbe to keep him busy, while Dana rid herself from the Petrifying spell quickly, before looking up again, wondering with a smirk whether Goyle knew how to dance or not. With his weight it might be an interesting sight. ‘Maybe my Slytherin friends are influencing me’ Dana thought with a smirk.

Goyle cursed. She had been to agile and managed to dodge most of the spell and get a barrier around hereself to block most of the spell. He was to large and slow to be able to dodge anywhere in this corrider and there was nothing to get behind as she cast her spell at him. The protego spell didnt even enter his mind although dana had just clearly cast it. His legs began to go crazy and there was no way for him to keep his center of balance. He began to fall.
As he fell he did manage to point his wand at her and cast the Jelly-Legs Jinx. Than he crashed to the ground on his but, his legs still crazy. He growled and quickly took care of her spell and got his legs back under control, he than began to scramble to his feet, hoping his spell had cost her some time.
((I couldnt find the Incantation for that spell, the list I found, which is a pretty good list, listed it as . Jelly-Legs Jinx))

Dana grimaced as Goyle sent a curse flying towards her. The spell hit full-blast and her legs started turning jell-o, before Dana turned her wand towards herself: “Wingardium Leviosa.”
Floating a bit awkwardly in the air Dana smirked once again towards Goyle: “You should have let me know, if you wanted a duel, Goyle. I’m sure we could have managed one in the dueling class-room. I didn’t think Slytherin could afford to loose any more points, which you are bound to loose when some professor or prefect comes down this corridor.”
Knowing she would have to end this fight before anyone heard or go a hint as to what was going on, Dana thought for a moment, trying to think something safe: “Incarcerous.” Observing with satisfaction as ropes flew out of the floor, trying to bound Goyle, Dana turned attention to herself. Pointing her wand to herself once again Dana whispered: “Finite Incantatum.” Crashing to the floor, as her legs still didn’t carry her, Dana grimaced, knowing she would get a bruise from it. Muttering the appropriate charm to free her legs, Dana hopped to her feet and casted a wary look towards Goyle – she didn’t want to loose points herself either, but under no conditions would she just back down. Dana wasn’t afraid of getting hurt – no one could avoid that from time to time and it might be a rather good practice as Goyle was older and could cast rather powerful spells if he wanted, but Dana wasn’t very fond of the idea of loosing to this bullying Slytherin which was a possible outcome as well. Dana would use all her skills to not loose this match. ((No worries. I understood what the spell was suppoed to do, so I also explained what the spell Dana used would do, if you didn't know - robes trying to tie you inot one place))

Before Goyle could get fully up ropes began to sprin up and try to bind him. He wiggled around as much as his weight and size would allow and managed to keep his wand arm free of the ropes. "Incendio!" Fire sprang from his wand ignited the ropes. The fire burned through the ropes and he was able to snap them apart and roll out of the small burning jumble. He jumped to his feet rather quickly, wich was a surprise to even himself, and began to pat his robes and put out the small fires on them.
Goyle than faced Dana again, his robes now scorched in places and trailing wisps of smoke. He could easily understand the logic in her words. Loosing houspoints, no housecup. The only chance he had is if snape or some slytherin prefect was to make their way down this hall. But this was the Ravenclaw area, the chances of a Slytherin prefect or snape to come down this hall were slim to none. Goyle didnt want to back down, but he didnt want to loose points either, and she had proven herself to be able to fend for herself. He could probably beat her, but to do so would require a large and very noticable duel.
He looked at her and smirked. "Last I saw, Ravenclaw cant spare that many points either."

Dana couldn’t suppress a chuckle at the sight of Goyle with the wisps of smoke rising from his robe. The sight was extremely amusing. “Sure, I wouldn’t want to loose points for Ravenclaw. But points can always be earned back in classes. Besides Ravenclaw is so far ahead that Slytherin couldn’t catch up no matter what, even if Snape happened to come by which is doubtful,” Dana answered with a smile still hovering around her lips, “The only thing being achieved would be Slytherin loosing to Gryffindor. Again.”
Dana heard footsteps coming and with one way of her wand got rid of the wisps of smoke coming from Goyle’s clothes. Those would be a certain give-away as to what had happened here. A moment later two first years turned the corner and stopped dead at the sight in front of them. Dana raised a calm eye-brow towards them: “Yes? Were you looking for something?”
The first years stared at Goyle in fear: “We were going to the courtyard.”
“Goyle won’t bite you know,” Dana told them with a roll of her eyes, “Go and take te other hallway.”
The first years ran away surprisingly quickly, and Dana turned her full attention back to Goyle: “You surprised me I have to admit. Not bad jinxes – we have to try this again when there is less chance of being caught. You would be good practice for me for me Defence Against Dark Arts O.W.L.”
Dana was rather good with a wand and knew a rather nice number of hexes, jinxes and charms. And she was a Ravenclaw and wanted to get top marks, so she practiced rather much as well. But for now Dana just tilted her head to the side and waited to see how Goyle would react – the situation was rather intriguing and something you didn’t stumble upon every day. Slytherins usually tolerated Ravenclaws better than other two houses and especially Dana seemed to have many friends in the Slytherin house, so she wasn’t the least bit bothered by the biting comments Slytherins sometimes used. Even though Dana was practically never targeted. But Goyle she hadn’t talked to before so Dana couldn’t really even guess how the older boy might react.

Goyle couldnt contain his chuckle or sneer at the thought of Gryffindor beating Slytherin this year. "Heh, those mudblood Gryffindors are the least of our problems." Just than footsteps could be heard and Goyle turned around to face two first years that had just rounded the bend in the hall. The first years nearly shook in fear as they looked at him. Goyle threw a glare in their direction but before he could say anything to them Dana had dissuaded them and sent them off. Goyle turned and faced her.
Goyle smirked. A duel with her would be the perfect thing. He could beat her and pay her back for this moment, and not be in danger of loosing any points for slytherin. "You want a duel? Alright, its gonna be fun beating you." He turned and took a few steps away. "I'll contact you with the plans, and dont worry, I hear that loosing is good practice." With that he continued down the hall.

Dana smirked at Goyle’s back: “Oh don’t worry, baby-doll, the beating you are going to have to survive at our duel might be rather good experience for you when you try to pass your N.E.W.T.s next year.”
The duel would be fun though. And with a lot less pressure on either as during an official duel they wouldn’t loss points nor would they have to worry about getting caught and thrown into detention. There were a lot of bonuses.
“I’ll be waiting for the owl with the data about that duel then,” Dana smirked and sped up to catch up with Goyle, as she grabbed his arm and pulled him to stop, turning so she was facing the older boy. Grinning Dana lowered her voice a little: “There is a reason why Ravenclaws are considered smart, sugar-pie. That’s because we are willing to work hard and practice what we know. And I have the same characteristics in me, so do give me some bit of a challence.” Dana winked at Goyle: “You’ll be facing the tip of my wand next time we meet, honey.” With those words thrown over her shoulder carelessly, Dana was the one to walk away this time, with a satisfied grin playing on her lips. Her pride wouldn’t allow Goyle to be the one to walk away from him with the last words coming from him. Dana almost idly wondered whether or not Goyle understood the sarcasm Dana’s voice had been dripping with, when she used the rather idiotic pet-names but that wasn’t really her problem either. So Dana just walked away feeling rather satisfied about how things had turned out in the end.
