Her aerial sucked. Mack was aware of this. Her legs weren't straight enough and she always fell on the last step. Mack sighed, took a long drink from her water bottle and tried again. Her blonde hair falling out of her pony tail. Her right foot swung back, and she started off. Her form was that off going into a cartwheel, and then she lifted both feet in the air. For a brief moment she was suspended perfectly, then she dropped.
"Ouch!" Mack wailed. She massaged her ankle, wincing slightly at the pain.

Cass walked through the hallways with alot on her mind. Dana had just asked her mother if she could spend some time this summer at her home. She really wanted to go, but it looked like her mother wasn't going to allow it.
Frustrated, she came upon a Slytherin she had met before. Watching her do a cartwheel, she giggled a bit as she fell. Noticing the girl was hurt, she walked up to her. " Do you need some help? I noticed you hurt your ankle."

Mack stood up and walked-more like limped- over to a table where some water bottles sat. She didn't acknowledge the girl who had asked if she was alright. Instead she sat down. Only then did she look at the girl, "Bloody hell." Mack muttered. It was the girl from the Courtyard. The one who had pointed her wand. Mack brushed some of her blonde hair out of her face and stared the girl down, "I'm fine if you must know. Just messed up on my aerial a bit." Mack answered before she twisted the cap off a bottle. She wasn't in the mood to argue, but she wasn't in the mood to be friendly either. Mackenzie stood up again, and fell. She sighed, reached over for her back and pulled out her wand, "Remedium." Her ankle healed. Mack stood up, and to prove she was fine, did a quick crescent kick. She finished that off perfectly, and smiled, "See? Better."  |

Cass watched as the girl showed her how well she suddenly was. " Well, that's good. I would still suggest you go to the hospital wing. The last time I healed something myself I ended in the Hospital Wing longer than I would have if I went there originally."
She watched as the girl did some of her acrobatics. " Nice. I've never been graceful enough to do things like that. I'm a bit of a clutz. Oh, by the way, I don't think we met properly. I'm Cassandra. I know we started out on the wrong foot, but I couldn't let you beat up a fellow Gryffindor."

Vika was running down the steps.She heard the soft thuds on the stairecase softly the air come in at her with every step.Sitting down Vika looked to the left were she saw Cassandra.
Vika got up and streghted down to touch her toes her blond fell to her knees then up again she did this serval times then she took out her comb and began to brush her hair.
Vika looked down the hallway again Vika again saw Cassandra.Olny this time she saw more clearly she was talking to a slythren.With disbelieve Vika realized it was the same one from the courtyard.
She put away her comb she began to walk quietly down the hallway.When she reached the girls she said in concern"Dont kick me again,see I let you Know I was here." She looked at the girl just to let her know she wasnt the reason she was there."Hey,Cass whats up?I saw you and wondered if you were on your way to common room."Vika said this to give her friend a clue.

Mack smiled, "Yeah I'll swing by there later." She told the girl. THe girl then introduced herself as Cassandra and Mack smiled again. They had gotten off on the wrong foot, but Mack was willing to try at least be friendly towards this Gryffindor. Cassandra hadn't really done anything to make Mack hate her, all she had done was come to a dorm mates rescue. And, given, Mack shouldn't have kicked the other Gryffindor, but Mack has issues. She thinks anyone who is behind her is going to attack.
"I'm Mackenzie, call me Mack though. Mackenzie tends to be a mouth full." Mack introduced herself with another friendly smile and she flicked some of her hair out of her eyes. Just then the other girl came along, Mack rolled her eyes. Mack was willing to give Cassandra a try, but this other girl? She just annoyed Mack to no end. And when the girl tried to get Cassandra to go back to the Common Room, Mack crossed her arms and turned straight to the girl, "If she wanted to go to the Common Room she would. She doesn't need you to lead her like she's some dog. Now, if you didn't notice, we were talking." Mack stated coldly.

trying to be nice.
Vika looked down and saw it was about time for a break so she sat down and toke a sipe of her water botel.

Cass smiled at Vika and the Slytherin. " Mack it's okay. I was actually on my way to the common room, but I want to make sure Mack is okay first."
She could feel the tension between the two girls. " You don't have to be enemies. Can't you just put down the animosity. Take it from me, one of my closest friends is from Slytherin."
" So, where did you learn the gymnastics? I was always thought about being a cheerleader at my old school, but that never happened. Looks like Vika is into the same thing, or at least into exercise. I get my workout from Quidditch."

Vika smiled letting her self to relaxe " Yeah I like to exetrise.I was a cheerleader at my old school, but that was at my old school when my boyfriend,Jesse,was playing football,and I have notting on sylithrens actully mom was one,weird really."Vika responded she really was talking to both of them.
" Mack,is that a nickname?Its awsome!!!!!So whats new with you."Vika was warming up to the idea of being more friendlier with each other.

Mackenzie brushed off what Cass had said about 'not being enemies.' As far as she was conerned, her and this girl could never be anything more than enemies. Mack crossed her arms and looked at Vika, a smile not cracking her lips, "Mack. Short for Mackenzie." She stated simply.
Turning to Cass Mack smiled and said, "Self defense actually. Martial arts. That sort of thing. I do a lot of self defense. I'll just say my home life isn't exactly the best." Mack replied. She didn't bother to answer Vika's question, because she knew it wouldn't be anything nice coming out of her mouth.

Cass almos jumped out of her skin. " Martial arts. That's great. I'm really into Kendo. My cousin Craig actually owns a school in Birmingham. I usually go and teach doing there summer so I won't get rusty."
Cass attempted to do a cartwheel, but fell flat on her face. " See, its hopeless." She giggled.

Mack smiled. She stepped back a few feet, and then lifted her arms up in the air. She ran forward, then with a quick jump, she did a flip and then arched forward. Her hands met the floor, and she did a perfect cartwheel. When she was finished, she raised her hands in a ta da pose and smiled, "It's rather simple." Mack said with a friendly voice.

From around the corner Chloe watched this exchange silentally. She was always curious about that girl Mack from her dorm room and now she was determined to find out more about her. She quite frankly agreed with Mack's additude towards that Viki girl and was rather amazed at her attitude towards the other Gryffindor. Guess there's more to this girl than meets the eye, she thought to herself. Her astonishment grew when she said Martial Arts and after her last performance she just couldn't help it. She burst out applauding.

Mack's head swiveled to the source of the noise. A girl, a girl Mack recognized from her dorm. She tilted her head at this girl, her blue eyes boring into her. Mack wondered what she wanted, and before she allowed the other girl to speak, she said, "I wasn't looking for an audience. I was demonstrating something for Cass. Closed show. Pack up and leave." Her voice was even and cool. She knew that two Slytherins against two Gryffindors wouldn't end up well.

Mackenzie had been taking a sip of her water bottle when Chloe approached the group. She wasn't really counting on the words that came out of the Slytherin girls mouth. So by total shock, the water sprayed out of Mack's mouth. She quickly swiveled around as to not get any on Cass, Vika, or Chloe. She wiped at her mouth and turned to face the group again. Chloe wanted a competition? Why? Did this girl think she was the best at everything? Mack had 8 years of martial arts training behind her. Not to mention gymnastics and cheerleading.
"Um let me think about it." Mack tilted her head and lifted her eyes to look at the ceiling, "Thinking...thinking...thinking...no." She brought her head back to its regular stance. There was no way in hell Mack was going to compete against Chloe. For more than one reason. She didn't want to lose to her and then have to put up with the fact that she's a Slyth and a third year and in her dorm, if Chloe won there was no doubt she would boast about it. But. if Mack won, then Chloe would be a sore loser.
Mack then grabbed her bag and walked through the group. She was halfway down the hall when she turned, "I'll get my ankle checked, 'kay Cass? Thanks!" And Mack turned around again and walked down the flight of stairs to the Slytherin dungeons.

Vika stared in disbelfe "Hey is it just me or was she just nice?"Vika asked Cassandra.
Vika got to the circle and began to strech after after a couple of sit ups she looked at Cass and told her she was on her way to the common room.

Cass stared as Mack began to walk off. She couldn't believe that Mack was going to walk off from a friendly competition. She called after her, " We need to get together sometime. You've got to teach me that."
She turned back to Vika. " Sure, we can head back to the common room." She looked at the other girl with a bit of coolness. " You know, she is in your house. did you really have to be a jerk to her like that?"

Vika turned to the girl the one how wanted to compete " I would love to but,see that would be wrong see you in the coomon room Cass."Vika said with a wave of her hand she was gone.
