The time on the clock changed to five and Lenora’s arm reached out to stop the buzz before it even began. Lenora was a morning person and today was Saturday; she was euphoric. Getting up silently Lenora pulled her clothes from her dresser; a pink dance outfit, and her pink ballet slippers. Picking up the duffle bag in the corner of the room and her toiletry bag Lenora skipped down to the bathroom where she completed her morning routine of makeup and hair. Grinning widely Lenora skipped down out of the tower and into her favorite part of the school; the music room.
As the door creaked open Lenora saw that the room was empty, as she had anticipated. Taking a cd out of her bag Lenora started up one of her favourite songs and made her way into the centre of the floor. As she started her routine Lenora slipped into movement so much she didn’t notice anything around her. It could have been moments, it could have been hours, either way Lenora neither knew nor cared. All she knew was in the middle of a spin she heard the door creak open once more. Lenora just kept going; as an actress she was used to people watching her perform and this was no different.
As the song came to a close Lenora stopped dancing and looked toward the door where a girl stood. “Hi. I'm sorry did you need to use this room today? I normally practice in the dorms so I don't disturb anybody who plays in here but I figured since it was so early and my dorm mates were asleep anyways… What time is it anyways? How long have I been here?” she babbled to the stranger while looking around for the clock she could never seem to find in there.
