Kris almost burned his tongue on his espresso, but was content with the drink being tasty enough. Strong enough to fit Kris’s taste. Drinking it calmly, Kris moved between the students crowding the hallways. Luckily they moved out of the way of an older Slytherin. Kris nodded to his cousin on the way, but didn’t bother to stop and greet as he climbed the stairs and moved straight towards the Room of Requirement.
Reaching the place where the door would appear and designed the room quickly to fit his needs for today. The door appeared and with a satisfied smirk Kris entered. Moving towards the rather large writing desk, which looked antique and valuable, Kris pulled out some parchment and started writing his essay calmly, while drinking his espresso at the same time. Finishing the essay for potions rather quickly, Kris stood up and shrugged off his cloak and moved to the other side of the room that had appeared.
Doing some stretched and warm-ups Kris placed his hands on a small podium and pushed his body up, so he was standing on his hands. It was great practice for balance and it wasn’t half that bad as a work-out exercise. Kris controled his breathing so it was deep and even, kepeping his body completely straight. Noticing some changes into the décor of the room, Kris frowned and turned to face the door, while still standing on his arms and scowled at the younger girl – a third year Ravenclaw – who had entered. “Looking for something?” Kris asked with a silky, but not very polite nor welcoming voice as he gracefully lowered himself to his feet once again and looked expectantly at the girl.

Caiest glared at the retreating backs of some sixth year Slytherins as she picked up her books and other things from the grounds. Apparently it was amusing to some people to pick on the quiet girl minding her own buisness. She had half a mind to curse them but dismissed the thought. Not because she was afraid of them but because there were other students around and it was generally a bad idea to curse someone older then you.
After gathering up the rest of her things Caiest continued walking. The other night in the common room she had over heard some second years talking about a room they called the Room of Requirement. Apparently it was a room that was designed to fit your needs. Caiest had decided that she would find the room and perhaps finally get the practicing room and peace and quiet she needed.
Reaching the spot where it was supposed to be she noticed that the door was already open. Without checking to see if anyone else was in there she walked in. Upon walking in she noticed a boy older then her probably and by the looks of it Slytherin. He was standing on his head and when he noticed her he asked her if she was looking for something and it wasn't in a very polite tone. Most people would've just left or said sorry. Caiest however wasn't most people. She leaned against the door turning her icy blue eyes on him "I was looking for a place to be alone apparently this room doesn't work quite as well as they say it does." She said in a tone to match her eyes.

Kris raised an eye-brow at the younger Ravenclaw’s tone. A lot of students seem to be losing their respect towards the Slytherins lately, but Kris was in a good enough mood to let it slide today. “The room works just fine… if you are the first one here,” Kris answered with as emotionless tone as the other girl had used and flexed his fingers calmly, to relieve the tension that had started to gather from standing on his hands for that long.
Kris glanced at the modifications in the room but didn’t comment. It depended on the girl whether she would stay or leave actually. Kris himself wouldn’t lower himself to ask her to stay nor would he bother to throw the girl out of the room, if she decided to stay. Deciding that the girl wasn’t any threat to him, Kris banished the podium he had been standing on and widened part of the room with a quick thought. At about hundred paces Kris stopped and pulled out a hunting knife from it’s sheath on Kris’s ankle, where it stayed 24/7. Looking at the target-board that had appeared Kris looked at it for a moment, before balancing the knife in his hand with his fingers holding the tip of it’s sharp blade. After a moment of concentration Kris threw the knife and watched with satisfaction as it landed in the center of the target-board. Kris had been practicing knife-throwing for years- - ever since she was 10, so he hardly ever missed. Summoning the knife back to him, Kris closed his eyes to move the target-board back some more.

Caiest was mildly surprised that the Slytherin didn't yell at her for her tone. Most of them were proud people and would give you hell for using a tone like that to them. Instead all he said was "The room works fine...if you're the first one in here." Before banishing the podium he'd been standing on and pulling a knife from a sheath on his ankle. Caiest watched quietly as he took aim at a target board and landed the blade directly in the center of the target. He was good really good. Better then anyone Caiest had seen anyway. She had tried doing that once but it bored her. She didn't see the point in throwing knives not when you could be fighting with them.
Caiest moved farther into the room. Since the boy didn't seem to care whether she stay or leave she decided to stay. She would've stayed even if he did want her to leave. Caiest sat down on the floor a little way away from where the boy was practicing and pulled out her own dagger. She had just taken off her necklace that held her Golem when she realized that she couldn't practice with it not when there was someone else in here. Shoving the necklace in her pocket she turned to look at the boy. "You're pretty good at throwing those things. You any good at fighting with them?"

Kris had continued throwing the knifes, keeping an eye on the other girl as well. Maybe it was nearing paranoia, but every Slytherin would do that – you couldn’t feel completely safe with not knowing where the other person in the room was. Kris had been a little surprised when she brought out a dagger so he kept one eye on her with the help of a huge mirror on one wall, but didn’t comment.
"You're pretty good at throwing those things. You any good at fighting with them?" the girl asked suddenly and Kris thought a little, finally turning his head after summoning his dagger back to him: “I’m good enough. I prefer long distance – it’s really a nuisance to get blood out of silk – but I can fight close-distance as well.”
Kris smirked actually – he preferred martial arts without any additional weapons better – actually he would have to pass test for the black belt in summer. But he knew how to handle a quarterstaff and a knife as well.
Kris looked at the necklace the girl had taken off and raised an eye-brow, recognizing the little figurine on it. He had seen golems before even though he didn’t own one himself and he knew enough of them. His legal guardians had sold some in one of their stores from time to time. The girl had to be a pureblood though, as only long pure-blooded families owned golems from time to time. “I don’t hit girls though, so no, I won’t spar with you,” Kris smirked as he drawled lazily, “Feel free to practice with your golem though. I’ve seen them before as well.” Kris smiled and turned to look to his side, sending his own knife flying from this position and curving one corner of his lips into a satisfied smirk, when the knife swayed a little after crushing into the board, but it was on the edge of the bulls-eye.

Caiest wasn't all that shocked when he said that he wouldn't fight a girl after all most guys wouldn't. She was extremely shocked however when he told her to fight with her Golem. Most people didn't know what the heck a Golem was let alone recognize it from a necklace. He must have very old blood she thought and then wondered why she didn't realize it before he was in Slytherin after all. Caiest looked at him intruigued.
"How utterly pathetic. Refusing to fight just because I'm a girl." She shook her head and made her Golem come to life. The Golem in human form looked exactly like her so it was like looking into a mirror. She handed the Golem a dagger before picking up one of her own. "You know Sennie this boy over here refuses to spar with a girl. Isn't that pathetic?"
Sennie turned to look at the boy. "Perhaps he's scared that you are better then he." The Golem said dropping into a fighting stance. "Perhaps." Caiest replied and began attacking the Golem. She attacked the Golem relentlessly and had disarmed her in a matter of minutes.
Sighing Caiest returned the blade to Sennie. "This is getting too easy it's not a challenge anymore." She turned back to the boy. "You sure you won't fight? I have longer blades and even staffs. Or if you prefer Martial Arts without weapons I can do them all I just need someone more skilled to practice with." She said she didn't even care that she was practically begging. She wanted no needed someone better then her at fighting she'd give a small body part for it.

Kris smirked at the girls and the golem’s words. Did they really think something that simple would upset him enough to break his rules and bend to fight with a girl. Kris was arrogant and self-centered enough to require something a lot more to shake… or even anger him. He watched the golem and the Ravenclaw fight calmly though. “not bad,” Kris commented lazily, “What’s your name? And no, I won’t fight with a girl. Not to mention that it goes against my beliefs, as few as I have them, my cousin would probably skin my alive if I did it. She’s not that good to win me in fair figth, but I wouldn’t raise my hand against her either. And she has an awesome left-hook.” Kris grinend almost proudly at those words.
“And yes I prefer it without weapons usually. Going for the black belt in summer," Kris answered with a shrug – martial arts came naturally to him, “Practice on your own. If you want a challenge, tie your eyes closed and figth that way. Improves your reactions fantastically, if you practice long enough." Kris tilted his head and concentrated for a moment, after which a trainin-gdummy appeared with two short daggers: "Or have a test-run with my practice-dummy. It's charmed to figth back in an medium level - he's not much a challenge for me anymore, but you can test it. I was that level about 2 years ago."
Kris fell silent for a moment and measured hte RAvenclaw calmly: "What's your name by the way?"

Caiest couldn't help but laugh when he told her to blindfold herself to be like a challenge. "See I would do that but the problem is Sennie and I are basically the same. She's basically me only not living that's why we look the same we pretty much think the same too which is why it's gotten so easy for me." She said laughing slightly to herself. She remembered the first time she'd ever shown anyone her Golem. She had shown it to her Martial Arts teacher. His comment had been 'Oh great now there's two of you.'
Shaking her head she came back to reality to find that he'd conjured a training dummy with daggers. That could be fun. She thought but immediately refused to use it when he said he'd been at her level two years ago. "My name is Caiest and how would you know what level I'm at? What you saw with Sennie there wasn't me at my best that was me warming up."
Caiest knew that getting the boy to fight was probably a lost cause as he obviously felt very strongly about that one particular matter. It failed to amaze her how stupid people could be. "Not to be rude or anything but that has to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. I realize that it's hard for people to think of a girl as good and able to defend herself but believe it or not it can happen and it happens all the time. What exactly are you going to do when someone who wants to see you dead realizes this weakness of yours. And trust me it is a weakness are you just going to take it when a girl starts pounding you into the ground?" Caiest didn't bother to look embarassed or apologize for her short outburst she could express her own opinion if she wanted to and she wasn't going to back down just because he was a Slytherin and older then her.

“I don’t know what level you are at. But I will found that out if I watch you practicing for long enough,” Kris commented dryly, summoning the podium for balance practice once again and doing a salto, Kris landed in a crouch on it, before placing his hands on it and slowly straightening his body, before answering Caiest’s question.
“Usually I’m not attacked by girls, so I haven’t really encountered that problem. But I never said I couldn’t use my wands. And if we are theorathically speaking – if a girl attacks me physically, then I can catch her arm, before it hits me and just hold it away from me and hold the girl still,” Kris shifted the position of his hands and slowly raised his left arm into air as well, balancing himself on one arm now, “I’m good enough to be able to pull off that and if she manages to throw a punch or a kick towards me still, then I probably deserve it for not being better anyway.”
Kris shifted his weight once again and balanced while standing on only his left arm this time fro the same amount of time, before throwing himself into a salto and landing in a low crouch, “On the whole – I’ll deal with that problem, when I encounter that. I’m good enough to be thinking on my feet,” Kris commented, flexing his arms for a moment to get rid of the tension in them. All martial arts required thinking as well as skill and some force. But Kris was rather smart actually – for a moment – it had been a brief moment, but still – the Sorting Hat had thought about Ravenclaw for Kris. And he certainly could have handled it well enough.

Caiest let it go. He wasn't going to change his mind and it was pointless to listen to someone who wouldn't listen to her. "Whatever." She said turning back to her Golem and made her go back to figurine form. After putting back on the necklace she turned to watch the boy as he was doing some balancing tricks.
"You know I told you my name it's only fair you tell me yours." She said picking up the dagger that Sennie had dropped when reverted back to figurine form and putting it back in her bag. She wanted to fight the training dummy that Kris had conjured as it would probably prove to be more of a challenge then anything she'd fought recently only she was too stubborn to do so.

"You know I told you my name it's only fair you tell me yours." Caiest commented and Kris smirked: “Who said life was fair? But my name is Kris. Kris Graas. You already know the house and the year is fifth.”
Kris’s eyes looked over Caiest contemplatingly as he stepped next to the training dummy. He would need to be in shape if he wanted his black belt in the summer, but that didn’t mean he would change his beliefs.
“As for practice I myself usually end up in the Forbidden Forest, as there aren’t many of those who can be good enough opponents here, that I fight with. Or who I know. Some of the animals are perfect for practice. The aranchids and smaller agromantulas, when they have wondered far enough from their nests,” Kris commented dryly, keeping his eyes shielded, even though he cringed mentally at the thought of getting two months worth of punishment for being caught in the Forest. The punishment was earned and Kris would fill it – whatever it would be – dutifully, but it didn’t mean Kris liked it.

"I never said life was fair and to be truthful I didn't expect you to tell me. I just thought I'd make idle conversation until I overcame my stubborness enough to try out that dummy." She said bluntly as she put her bag aside.
"I've never been to the forbidden forest. Usually I can find good enough things to fight here but mostly it's because if my parents ever found out that I'd been in the forest they'd start to act like parents and try and ground me or something ridiculous like that. As for not finding good enough opponents to fight that is entirely your fault. I am probably good enough to fight you and would do it willingly but you refuse." She said pulling her hair into a ponytail. She figured the hell with it if he wasn't going to fight her and the training dummy was still there it wouldn't do any harm to fight it. "Do you mind if I try this thing out?" She asked nodding in the direction of the dummy.

Kris sent a charming half-grin towards Caiest: “Go ahead. This place can always be used to create more and at whatever level you want.” Concentrating for a moment Kris created one for himself as well and excamined it calmly: “I’m a rather regular visitor in the Forbidden Forest. One good thing about not having parents – you don’t get into trouble. And my legal guardians let me do basically what ever I want.”
Measuring the dummy in front of him once more, Kris half-smiled at it. He almost fought and dueled with a smile – it usually angered the opponent, so he – or she in case of a duel – would sometimes be more prone to making mistakes or being careless. And even though it possibly couldn’t effect the dummy, Kris still smiled before starting with a spin and a kick. Followed quickly by three punches Kris ended the dummy with one kick into it’s middle, breaking it neatly and sending the pieces crashing into a wall.

Caiest gave a small half smile when he mentioned not having parents. "I know how the whole not having parents thing goes as my parents are basically non existent. I get an owl once every three months that say 'Are you alive? Here's some more money. Don't get in trouble see you later."
Caiest stepped up to the dummy that Kris had conjured earlier. She realized that she didn't have her daggers with her and her bag was all the way across the room. She triggered the release and her wand dropped from within her sleeves to her hand. "Accio dagger." The dagger came flying forward and Caiest caught it with ease. She rigged the wand back up before turning to face the dummy.
"How do you get this thing to work?" She asked Kris.

Kris stepped to the dummy Caiest wanted to practice for and pushed on the back of it’s neck, causing the figure to crouch into a fighting position, before retreating a little and watching calmly for some time: “Enjoy.” After a bit Kris glanced at his watch and made his way back to the writing-desk he had conjured up earlier with the Room as well and took a seat once again.
Pulling his half-finished essay closer again, Kris flipped through the text-book in front of him not interestedly. Scribbling down a couple rather pointless sentences, Kris glanced at Caiest before turning back to his work. It was nowhere near the level Kris actually might work on, but this essay for Binns and boring as hell, so Kris didn’t really bother to work on it. Sometimes he doubted if the old ghost-like professor even read the essays he got. So Kris would just write something together but not bother himself too much, besides making sure he got the correct length between random glances towards the place where Caiest was practicing.

Caiest sent a silent thank you as the training dummy crouched down into a fighthing position. All thoughts faded away as she threw herself into the fight with the dummy. Crouching down as well she waited for the dummy to make the first move. Caiest hardly ever made the first move as she preferred to get a feel on how her opponent moved and attacked before she did any actual attacking. So for now she'd just defend.
After a few moments the dummy sprang to life lunging out at her. Caiest was able to block that easily. This has got to be a joke. She thought as she side stepped another attack from the dummy. She backed up as the dummy came forward trying to land a blow to Caiest left side with the dagger. 'Bad Move.' She thought a slow smile spreading across her face. She knocked the dummys arm aside sending the dagger flying. Now she had the advantage.
She faked a hit to the right then attacked with her left. Able to catch the dummy off gaurd her dagger hit it's mark. Smiling she backed off a moment and waited for it to attack. As predicted it did it swung high as if aiming for her shoulder or collar bone. In a swift movement she ducked down and kicked out at it's legs causing it to fall. Without wasting a moment she pinned it and took it's dagger.
"I win." She said getting up off it and pushing the stray hairs that had fallen out of her pony tail behind her ears. She walked over to the where the first dagger had fallen from when the dummy had dropped it.
