“No, you step out on four, otherwise you can’t move on with the dance,” Dana told the second year girls and showed the quick dance-move herself, “See – left leg goes to the right from front on one, you turn on two and three and on four you step out with your right leg. That also brings out the hip-movement. And don’t forget to add the hand-movements as well.” The girls excitedly tried the dance-move themselves as Dana looked around with a smile. She had seen the girls in the hallway having serious trouble with a rather complex dance-move and seeing what they all did wrong, Dana had joined them and showed how to correct it to continue without stumbling. Dana was social and friendly enough to not be bothered the least by the other people in the hallway and besides she had tutored one of the girls in Charms.
Noticing Elina in the hallway, Dana excused herself as the girls seemed to have gotten the hang of the moon and pulling her bag back on her shoulder moved to Elina with a smile: “Hey, how have you been doing?”
Dana glanced over her shoulder to the girls and smiled looking back at Elina: ”I just love dancing. I just couldn’t help it when I saw that they got such a basic thing wrong which was why they weren’t able to not stumble. But I just love dancing and moving myself.”
As if to add to the words Dana threw her arms over her head and twirled three times happily, before stopping and grinning at Elina: “I’m happy today. But that doesn’t change my question – how have you been lately? Haven’t really had enough time to chat properly lately.”
"Ashley! Stop stop! Okay, this foot comes down here...good. Now, this foot goes here! Stupenda! Now, try again. One, two, three, four, and a five, six, seven, stop!" Elina smiled broadly at her younger sister, shook her head in slight disappointment and tightened her pony-tail. As great a dancer Ashley was, she couldn't get the fact that her heel can't slap across the floor like that. With one swift kick of her leg, Elina was up on the floor. She did a simple pirouette and began, "Watch! One, two, three, four, and five, six, seven, eight!" Her foot slipped into a perfect poise, not slapping against the floor. She laughed, and left her sister to practice.
As she walked down the corridors she heard the eccentric giggle of a few girls, and then the voice of Dana; a fellow Ravenclaw, speaking to them. Elina turned the corner, her water bottle tapping against the palm of her hand and watched the younger girl teach, second years they seemed to be, how to do a correct move. It was then Dnaa noticed Elina, and Elina's smile grew, "Hey! I'm fine. A bit worried about the break, I mean, going home is not exactly what I would call happy. So, I think I'm going to Mia's for the break. How 'bout you, besides the random dancing in the hallways?" Elina answered and asked at the same time. She smiled and took a drink of her water bottle, awaiting Dana's answer. Elina was a bit more outgoing then she used ot be. Livlier and happier. She smiled a lot more, and didn't confuse people as much with her erratic speaking.

Dana smiled back at Elina had fell into step next to her. Dana was a bit curious about Elina’s comment about her home, so she sent a bit questioning glance at Elina when she said this, but chose not to comment. Elina would tell herself, when she wanted – Dana didn’t want to pressure her. “It wasn’t random dancing. Those second-years just couldn’t get the move right for a good quarter of an hour and I just couldn’t take it anymore ad showed it to them,” Dana glanced over her shoulders at the giggling girls who were now talking with a couple of guys around their age, “Muggle schools have dancing lessons as well sometimes, right? Seeing how many students there are at this school who want to dance even only to the level where they wouldn’t stumble on their partners feet, I sometimes think why Hogwarts won’t hold a course like that. Especially when balls are held – a lot of people don’t dare to come or just stay in the shadows or corners because they just don’t know how to dance.”
Dana frowned thoughtfully and pulled her hair into a pony-tail easily: “As for the holiday – I was supposed to go to a friends – Kaitlyn’s place. She promised to teach me to ride a little during Easter. I’d rather like it.”
Elina caught Dana's questioning look, and she sighed, "Parent troubles. Nothing big. But, nothing I wanna talk about." Elina then listened to Dana explain that it wasn't random dancing, and this made Elina smile. Elina wasn't much of a dancer, that was Ashley's thing. Elina just read, wrote, and well that was it. She was the wallflower at dances and parties, heck, she brought a book to the Valentines Day party! It wasn't that she couldn't dance she just, was too insecure to do so in public.
"Sounds fun! Horses, right? I am never getting on one of those things again! I went to Mia's and she surprised me by telling me I was going to ride a horse, this was after one charged at me too..." Elina spoke, her face showing her emotions. Her smile went from ecstatic to worried to a little shaken. She laughed at herself and turned on her heel, so she was facing Dana and walking backwards.

Dana just nodded as Elina explained that she had parent troubles: “In one way it’s rather conveneient that me grand-parents live in France. That way rather few rumors reach them when I get caught while breaking some rule and I pretty much have to decide myself what to do and what not as I can’t really go home to France every weekend. Luckily my grand-parents are rather liberate as well.”
Dana was raised by her grand-parents – her mother had died at birth and her father hadn’t wanted to raise the child alone. He was dead now as well though – died at duty in Kuiveit as Dana recalled. She didn’t really care much either – for Dana her grand-parents were all the parents she needed and she didn’t even know her biological parents so it didn’t bother her to talk about them.
“As for horses,” Dana giggled at Elina spoke of her experiences with them, “I like them. I have sat on horse-back for maybe… dunno… two or three times in my life? But horses seem so friendly. I’m not giving any guarantees that I won’t be screaming for all heavens and hells to get down from the saddle once I’m in it at Kaitlyn’s though. Maybe I’m just influenced by vestern’s – riding gracefully and nicely on a horse, admiring gorgeous views. What could be better?”
Dana smiled as Elina started walking in front of her with a smile: “Besides it will be a nice break from all the revising.”
Dana waved and grinned to some first year who she was tutoring as she called out her name to make sure the next tutoring session was tonight which Dana affirmed with a nod, before turning her attention back to Dana: “I’m alright mostly but I don’t have a clue as to what to do about my Potions and Herbology. I suck at both of them and suck royally. But let’s not talk about that today. What else are you planning to do this summer? Or do you have big plans to do something while this school-year still lasts? Teach everybody to dance? Introduce Snape to the wonderful discovery called shampoo? Kidnap Dumbledore’s supplies of Lemon Drops?”
