Parvati Patil rounded a corner and sighed as she realized she had gone in a complete circle. She sighed and threw her book bag on the ground, hoping to God that a magical light would appear and show her the way to the Common Room. You would think after being here at this school for 6 eyars she would know her way around. She opened her bag and pulled out her sketchbook and started drawing vigoursly. If Padma hadnt insisted in meeting her in some place she never had been before, she owuldnt be in this predicament. It was always Padma's fault. Antoher thing her stupid sister messed up. She snorted as she drew Padma and then crossed it out a million times.

Jaquin exited from the Ravenclaw common room plowing through one of his advanced biology text books. It was a very profound novel. Completely immersed in the compelling book, Jaquin strolled down a hallway, turned left and bumped into another person. He halted in embarrasment, as he was usually able to avoid any obstacles in the middle of the hallway. Jaquin always kept a system of 'constant vigilance', but, today seemed different. Quickly tucking his volumous book into his bulging bag, Jaquin turned to see Padma Patil, no, Parvati, no, Padma, no, Parvati, as the student was wearing Gryffindor clothes. Contemplating for a moment, Jaquin took a quick guess, "Sorry, Parvati, didn't mean to bump into you." He still suspected that Padma may have been playing a trick on him.

"Ay, no worries. Im actually surprised you knew it was me, and not Padma. Stupid git,she is. Its partly my fault too. Didnt see you either." Parvati said with a smile, quickly putting away her sketchbook. She slid it into her bag and looked up at Jaquin.
"But then again, she is in your house." She said with a slightly agitated smile. She sighed and looked down the corridor, nope nothing. She wanted to head back to the common room but, she was lost.
"This is gonna sound dumb but, erm, do you know which way it is to the Gryffindor Common Room? My sister thought it would be funny to take me to a place in the castle I did not know at all." Parvati, looked over her shoulder and shuddered, thinking that Padma was somewhere close near by but her mind told her otherwise. Padma was never near Parvati unless forced to.

"Ah, so that's the case is it? Well, Padma led you one corridor away from the Ravenclaw common room, so, naturally you would be lost. On this floor, the 6th floor, there is one direct route up and down, but, most of these corridors are part of a small maze that is used to protect the Ravenclaw common room, making it impregnable to other house's students," Jaquin answered with an amused smile. "Padma was probably just playing a friendly joke. I mean, she isn't really that bad. Anways, if you want to get to the Gryffindor common room, just turn left on this corridor, then turn right. That'll lead you back to the main hallway, towards the staircase up to Gryffindor tower."
Jaquin paused in his explanation, as something had been nagging his mind for a long time. He pretended to flip through his multifarious volumes of books as he contemplated. It was the Halloween Ball/Costume Contest that had been on Jaquin's mind. He still did not have a partner/date, as many of his fellow Ravenclaws already had. Jaquin decided to give it a try, "So, Parvati, have you thought of the Halloween Ball at all? I've been wondering......" He trailed off, his face turning a bit red....
(Jaquin's just asking Parvati out for the fun of it. I don't know where this post will go, but, they could start making their costumes and stuff for the ball or any other ideas you might have. ;D)

(Alright... ) Parvati looked at Jaquin, her mind slowly rethinking what he had just said. Slowly she began to nod. "Sure. Alright. I'll go with you." She said with a smile. She shifted a strap of her bookbag from weight of the right shoulder to the left, nervously and said, "Erm, how about, we meet here, same spot. Tomorrow. I have loads of homework to do. I never thought I would get it done, considering I was lost and all." She laughed and looked at her feet. She looked back up. "Tomorrow sound good?" She asked.

"That would be great! So, what will you be going as? I've been thinking for a while and I will be going to the ball as Merlin. He was a good old chap," Jaquin replied with a grin spreading across his face. "Need any help with the homework? What subject is it?" Jaquin quickly retrieved a potions textbook from his bag. "Have you finished Snape's assignment? You know, the essay on Snake Venom Antidotes? Perseus gave me this book in the circumstance that Snape give us an assignment about snake venom," he said with excitement. ((I won't be able to post until Saturday because of heavy loads of homework, but, I will be back! ))

(Ay, ok. )
"I think, yes, I think I might go as Hecate. But that might be too evil. Hecate, is my favorite Goddess in Greek Mythology. She's pretty, but evil. At least, in the pictures and myth's I've read." Parvati answered with a nod. She looked through her book bag and pulled up a book from somewhere in the depths.
"Shes pretty here." She said handing Jaquin the book. "I think I might base my costume on that picture there." She said with a smile. She looked at the clock above a door and saw it nearing curfew.
"Well, um so it's set? we're going together? Meeting here?" She asked.

"Wow! That'll be an intriguing character and costume. Well, I'll see you tommorow, same place at around 6 o' clock PM," Jaquin said with a last grin. Shouldering his heavy bag, Jaquin went back up into his dormitory and began to study potions once again. He sorely wished that Perseus had been sorted into Ravenclaw. For, Perseus was the most talented potion concoctor Jaquin knew, other than Snape "Potions Master". The sun was set by now, and the fire flickered and crackled, making the penumbrae in the common room waver and dance. Everyone in the room was whispering as they did their daily Saturday night activities. After Jaquin finally finished his essay, he filed his parchments, climbed up some stairs into his dormitory, took a quick shower, and went straight to bed. The other Ravenclaw 6th year boys also tucked in and began to discourse about controversial discoveries, or recent Death Eater sightings.
******* THE NEXT DAY Jaquin yawned as the sun rose from the east horizon, revealing the Cimmerian areas of the dormitory. He got dressed quickly and went about the rest of the day practicing Quidditch, and doing COMC and Charms. Anticipating an enjoyable evening, Jaquin gathered up his Quidditch robes, stuck them back in his trunk and hurried down to the spot where he and Parvati had met the night before........

Parvati had insomnia the night before. Barely believing that she, not Padma, but she Parvati had a date to the Ball. She was restless all night. Her art supplies had been spread out on the table in the Gryffindor Common Room and thousands of paper balls were thrown in the wastebasket, indicating a failure in costume design. Around 3 o' clock she had fallen asleep. She missed half of her classes and decided it was too late to attend them so decided to skip the rest. She spent the rest of the day sketching ideas and designs in her sketchbook, when suddenly she jumped up and yelled,
"EUREKA!" People turned to look at her and she gave an apologetic smile. She picked up her sketch book, some colored pencils and exitted the common room. Only to retrace her steps she had taken the night before. She rounded a corridor and saw that Jaquin wasnt there just yet. She sighed with relief and sat down, her back leaning against a wall. She flipped to the "eureka" page and started to finish.
The black was abundant, but then again she was going as Hecate, the Godess of the Dark Moon. There wasnt really you put in her costume besides dark colors. So her main colors were black, navy, maroon, dark green, and dark grey. The picture indicated she would put a spell on her hair to change it to a dark black, and the length would be to her midback. Her eyes would be pure black, no iris. And she was going to be dressed in a black dress with a dark navy and black silk robe. She would have a silver crown with a dark crescent moon on it. She hummed to herself as she finished her design.
