Kitchen time ((Perseus))

Katie looked at her watch it was flashing 6:12 and she was suppose to meet Perseus soon just down by the by the trophy room. She was just staring at her watch that was on her hand. It was a scarlet and gold watch that was just a little bit off. Katie than took out a piece of candy in her pocket and ate some, she enjoyed the cherry taste in her mouth. She looked right next to her at a mirror and stood up looking at her brown hair that was up in an untidy ponytail. Katie had been in the dormitory after classes have let out and she was just working on home work and trying to be good before 7:00.

She than put her hair back up in a tidy pony tail and walked out of the dormitory. She just thought she will show up early and look at all the trophies that lined up across in the glass case. She walked down the flights of stairs as she did in the morning. As she walked by she noticed Peeves being his normal self, which was really annoying. She than just continued to walk down the stairs and through the corridors and passing by people who would say hello to her.

As she finally reached the trophy room she went inside and closed the door slightly. It was dark in the room and she couldn’t see a thing. Katie took out her wand.
"Lumos" She said as the light on the wand was lighting the room a bit.

As Katie waited were she was she could feel excitement rise in the pit of her stomach. Katie continued to say the charm that kept going away after a short while.

[Perseus Feynman]

Perseus clandestinely slipped out of the Slytherin Common Room, with only his wand and several small tubes of his ameliorated invisibility potion and counter potion, as his classmates sat in large huddles. Soundlessly, he closed the door behind him and watched the torches in the dungeon hall flicker, creating a plethora of dancing Penumbrae. As he walked down the hall, several pictures of grimy, antediluvian wizards looked suspiciously down at him. Taking the hint that he would be in trouble, Perseus, with a wave of his wand turned out the Torches. He walked through the Cimmerian halls, only with the Entrance Hall's lights guiding him.

By the time he had gotten to the entrance hall, Perseus heard the clock boom out seven resonating rings, as its bell tolled. He was late for his meeting with Katie. Although he was not very sure about Katie's motives for going to the Kitchen, he knew that sneaking into the Kitchens was not against the law. As a matter of fact, it was had been done so often by the Weasley brothers that it was no longer a great secret. Pereseus surreptitiously ran up several flights of stairs before getting to the Trophy Room door. It was as dark as the vaccuums of space, when Perseus entered. Stealthily, he snuck up on the spot where Katie had been hiding, suddenly bellowing, "Lumos Solem!!!!!!!" The spell created a light so bright that Perseus was almost blinded himself. He laughed aloud after the spell dissipated.....

As Katie was waiting in the dark she closed her eyes. This reminded her so much of home but her father wasn’t there she was one again alone. As Katie closed her eyes her father came into the picture and her heart stroked fear. Just a couple years ago she back at home with her mother and father. She than saw his hand raise in her mind and she closed her eyes even harder. She tried not to remember him but it always came back in her mind, her father was always haunting her.

Katie than notice a flicker of a strong light and she opened her eyes to see Perseus laughing she too laughed.

"I thought you wouldn’t come but I stand wrong." Katie said as she said the not so powerful lighting spell. She was underage wizard so she had to try level A spells.

"What now?" She asked him. She was glad he came in she would of been there all night remembering her father.

Perseus scrutinized Katie's expression, feeling through intuition that she was troubled by something. But, now was not the time to contemplate on that issue. He twirled his wand and answered, "Well, it depends on what you want to do in the Kitchens." Perseus eyed Katie wondering what she meant when she said that she wanted to play a prank.

"Just out of curiosity, what do you mean by playing a prank? I will need to know what your plan is before it can be initiated," Perseus inquired, his brows furrowed in intense concentration. In the Cimmerian room, the two of them would be safe from Filch. Not only because of their location, but also because of Perseus's prodigious vigilance that he had acquired through years of paranoia. In his fourth year, Perseus had done very well in Moody's class, although that Moody was in fact a fake. He had thrown off the Imperious curse entirely after 5 tries. But, Perseus prided himself most in the subtle sciences of potions and alchemy in the wizarding world. He reminisced the great time he had with the brilliant, but insane Moody, finding much in common with the venerable, retired Auror.

Katie looked up at Perseus she totally forgot there talk with Vanessa and Ivy in the library. She was so overwhelmed about what just happened to her.

"Nothing I was only joking. I was hoping we could just go down and see what happens. I haven’t been in the kitchen yet because I haven’t found anyone who wonted to go with me." Katie said raising her eyebrows back at him. She pulled back her long brown hair and heard a noise. She looked around and didn’t see anything.

"Maybe this was the wrong place to meet." Katie thought in her mind continuing to look around.

"It’s probably just Mrs. Norris..." Katie thought in her mind. She than again looked up at Perseus and smiled.

"Are you ready....?” Katie asked him continuing to smile.

"Yeah, come on!" Perseus whispered when the clock boomed out 8 o'clock. "Hurry! First years aren't supposed to be out of their dormitories at this time!" The sound resonated through the school, as Perseus ran through the Cimmerian halls surreptitiously. He guided Katie down into the Entrance Hall before taking a left into a hallway to the right of the Great Hall. Unanticipated twists and turns slowed them down as they descended into the cellar. Perseus had not been to the Kitchens for a long time and had not been planning to. However, if he was to be a tour guide today, so be it. The hallways were lit with flickering torches that splashed dancing Penumbrae here and there. As the shadows changed interminably down the hallway, the pantings became increasingly full of elation. Every painting was that of a plate of food or bottle of drink.

Upon arrival at the end of the hallway, a large portrait of a bowl of fruit towered in front of them. Perseus tickled the green pear, which turned into a door knob, and it opened up to the Kitchens........

"Well I am not just any first year." Katie whispered behind him as they went down the twirling paths. She looked up at the paintings they all had fruit on tables. Katie looked around her dazed at everything. She never been out after curfew but she knew sometime she would be.

As Perseus tickled the pear and the door swung open Katie mouth dropped open. There were house elf’s everywhere preparing for the meal in the morning. Katie walked inside and twirled around looking at everything. She never seen anything like it, well she’s never seen a house elf either.

A house elf came up to them it was wearing a pointed black hat, sweat shirt, long pants, and socks with brooms on them.

"Doe’s you know Mr. Potter sir and misses." said the elf looking from Katie to Perseus.

"Yes but he doesn’t know me. What’s your name?" Katie asked trying to be nice to the elf.

"Me names is Dobby Miss." said Dobby looking at her with his big house elf eyes.

"I am Katie and this is Perseus." Katie said looking at Perseus and then back to Dobby with a smile.

"Nice to see you again, Dobby!" answered Perseus, with a sly grin.
"Ah, Mr. Feynman, Sir. Dobby has not sees yous in a long times," Dobby said as his large eyes widened. "Well, I'll sees yous and Miss later!"
With that, the eccentric elf bound away with limitless energy. Perseus looked around to see multitudinous Kitchen elves prepare multifarious and sumptuous dishes for the next day. They all worked with prodigious skill, and their somewhat raucous voices resonated through the hall as one. The capacious, collosal hall was as high and wide as the Great Hall, but without the enchanted ceiling.

"This is the Kitchens area, Katie," Perseus introduced. "Anyways, its a great place to get all the food you want. Now, remember, don't tell all your friends about this place. You see, we 'Hogwarts Explorers' cannot disclose our secrets."

Katie watched as Perseus talked to the elf named Dobby. She must now know that Perseus wasn’t lying about going to the kitchens. She smiled as Dobby trot away with joy.

"I never knew house elves could be so..... How can I put this high energy and love working." Katie said still looking at Dobby as he went up to another house elf.

She heard about Hermione SPEW in her fourth year at Hogwarts. Katie thought the House Elf’s looked happy working and serving wizards and witches.

"I will try not too but I think I won’t to know this my self......" Katie said looking up at Perseus and smiling at him. She than looked around at the house elf’s once again. This was nothing she ever seen before, well probably because she came from a muggle family.

Katie than notice some house elf’s coming up to them with a tray of cookies and offering them some. Katie looked at the tray of cookies and took some and put it in her pocket she had another idea for a prank. Since people won’t take candy from her why not cookies everyone loves cookies.

She looked once again at Perseus and smiled slyly she wondered if she knew what she was going to be doing to the cookies.

((Sorry, Katie, I have been away, lots of prep of SAT testing and a lot of homework. (even though I'm in middle school, I go to high school for Trigonometry/Algebra II/Pre-Calculus.) I'm also wondering about the plot of this post. ))
