Are we really studying? (Parvati)

Katie sat at one of the corner tables in the common room trying to study. She was trying to understand potions but never seemed to work. "Who cars about cutting up stuff and making it into a potion." Katie said in a harsh voice. She was about to throw the book at the wall but she restrained herself and looked around. There was barley anyone around and she started to feel lonely. Scanning the heads of the people around her she didn’t notice any of her Gryffindor friends. With a heavy sigh she got up and put on her shoulder bag and flipped her new hair over her shoulder. She had gone through a lot over winter break and she was more "girly" than the old Katie. Jordan didn’t like the new her and Katie felt like her sister did not understand a thing. She sighed yet again as tears filled her eyes when she remembered Jordan. They had a nasty argue over her new self and Katie doesn’t understand why she can’t accept it. Yes she was wearing skirts. Yes she was wearing more make up, yes she was more toned down but why couldn’t Jordan like that?

With a confused look on her face Katie walked out of the common room and down the flights of stairs. She let her mind drift off normally thinking about the recent quidditch match against Hufflepuff. It would be very interesting if Katie was on the team as beater. She and Jordan would be hitting themselves than there targets. Katie started to feel furious as she remembered Jordan. Why did she hate her sister now? It was like Parvati and Pandma but Parvati had a really good reason not to like her twin. With another deep sigh Katie finally reached the library. She scanned the self’s and find a section for potions. She walked over towards it and looked up at the tall self’s looking for the right potion book to help her fragile mind.

As her head was all the way up she saw a book called Potions for beginners and she thought that would suit her well. Man she was changing she liked to study thanks to Jasmine a fellow Ravenclaw. Katie than stood on the tops of her toes and reached her hand up for the book. She wiggled her fingers as her hand was and inch away from the book. "Curse being small." Katie said to herself and looked around for some one to help her. She walked down the line of books and looked around her for a tall person. When she saw Parvati just entering the library Katie smiled at her friend and rushed over towards her. "Parvati! Parvati! Can you help me reach this book?" Katie said as she reached her friend and looked up with a smile on her face.

"And add two wolfsbane...wolfsbane wolfsbane, I knew I had that somewhere. Is this it? No, that's not it. What does wolfsbane look like? Hmm, I better check it in a book. Library." Parvati muttered to herself as she pushed back her chair at the tabel she sat at in the Gryffindor Common Room. She left the common room, not really worrying about her things and made her way down three flights of stairs to the Library.

The Library was bustling with students as always, this normally wasn't anything new, but it was louder than usual, and Madame Pince wasn't hushing them, and this is what made Parvati edgier than usual upon arriving in the book filled rooms. As she scanned the shelves for Potions Year 5, she realized that Katie was calling her name. The fellow Gryffindor and friend of Parvati seemed to be having some trouble reaching a book and had asked her to assist her.

Parvati smiled, grabbed Year 5 from the lower shelf and made her way over to Katie. She took out her wand, waved it at the book and muttered;

"Accio Potions For Beginners." The book flew to her hands and Parvati handed it to Katie with a satisfied smile. Katie looked glum, and Parvati wondered if what she had heard from Padma was true. That Jordan and Katie were indeed arguing, this was never good. You didn't want to be in a fight with Jordan Cortes, or much less be her sister and be in a fight with her. Parvati just hoped they wouldn't end up like Padma and herself.

Katie smiled at Parvati as she said that she will help her and walked over towards the book and pointed at it. "Its the Potions for beginers book." Katie said still pointing at the book with a smile on her face. Than Parvati used a charm and Katie hit herself in the head with her hand. "Why didn't I think of that." Katie said smiling and taking the book from her friend. Katie than looked at Parvati awardly as she was staring at her that made her feel a little uncomftorable.

Did she know that Jordan and her were fighting? Katie really didnt wont to end up like Parvati and Padma but she knew that Jordan wasnt the right person to be in a fight with. Due to the fact that Jordan and Vanessa were fighting. Well Jordan did a really bad thing... Puting fireworks in a paino and blowing up was wrong. Katie knew this becuase if some one tried to do that to her guitar she would probaly kill that person.

Katie smiled at Paravti and sat down at a near by table and put the book in front of her. She opened it up and started to read but she couldnt continue. What was the point of studying? She wouldnt get it anyway and why would she use potions in the muggle world? With a deep sigh Katie turned towards Parvati and smiled even more. "Like I said I havent seen you in a long time.... So how are you and Padma doing?" Katie asked her friend with the book still open. She didnt bother to continue to read.
