Carole Sat By herself in the libary, sighing and wishing that someone would be her friend. During her First year, Carole was Shy and Timid and would be by her self in her common room and study.Today, She had ALOT of homework...Transfiguration,Potions,Defense against the dark arts and herbology.Sighing...Carole got out her quill and started writing her essay on wiggentree bark.Carole sat there quietly and sighs everynow and then....just because she was alone.

Kat closed a book about transfiguration with a snap and stretched lazily, tilting her chair back some-what. The eagle-feather quill, she had been holding flew out of her grasp.
Kat pulled her chair upright again and looked around for her quill, which had landed on a near-by table where some girl was sitting alone with what appeared to be tons of homework.
“Sorry about that. Guess my quill just slipped out of my grasp,” Kat said jumping up and leaving her stuff and the now finished Transfiguration essay on the table she had been sitting at and hopped next to the other girl, “I hope it didn’t distract you very much.”<br>
Kat picked up her quill and smiled friendlily eyeing all the books on the table: “Tons of homework right? I don’t understand we have to write so many essays! I’m Kat by the way.”

"Hi" Carole Replied.
She eyed the girl up and down and said:
"your a ravenclaw and your a first year too, but that really dosent matter!...You got Great potential- I can tell."
"Im Carole by the way-I keep forgeting to introduce my self to people-Im not that forgetful though."Carole Introduced.
She Looked at the Table where Kat was sitting, It looked like she had lots of homework too.
"Essays...(sighs)...I hope that the teachers do not think that its for pleasure for them.Essays....I hate that word...But The person who gives out terrible Essays is Professor Snape.Anyway Essays are suppose to make us learn something-I was studding on Wiggentree Bark and all I know it comes from a tree and is brown-Nah...its actually used for potions."Carole said In her Mysterious Pitched voice.
There Was a Long pause....
She Finally said:
"Do you want to study with me?"

Kat laughed as Carole said she had potential
“Study together – sure, why not? Might be easier. I still have an essay for History of Magic and I need one more inch for DADA – Defence Against the Dark Arts,” Kat said turning and bringing her stuff back to the table as she slipped into a seat opposite of Carol.
“Wiggentree bark – wasn’t it used in some healing potions?” Kat frowned trying to recall, “Some pain revealing potions I think. Against head-ache probably?” Kat shrugged, “I think it had something to do with that, but I wouldn’t bet on it.”<br>
Kat sighed and pulled her DADA book out and opened it: “I have an essay about hexes that cause outside faltering, like the Jelly-legs jinx for example.”<br>

Carole Listened.
"Ahh!...The Jelly-Legs Jinx...I remembered being casted a Jelly-Leg Jinx on me once....2 words-NOT GOOD."
Carole dipped Her Feather Quill in the Nerby pottle of ink-which the Libary had.
She wrote 6 inches more to Her Essay about Wiggentree bark and finshed.
"I bet Snape is going to say something nasty...But Oh Well" Carole sighed.
Carole Just sat there...And Sighed and Picked up her DADA homework which is another Essay on some Defense spell. Carole-Looked at her watch-12:00pm
"Good thing its Saturday-Or else we'll get even MORE homework!"

“Not good? I’ll remember that,” Kat laughed as Carole told her about her experience with the Jelly-legs jinx.
“Yep, I know what you mean. All professor seem obsessed with home-work AND especially essays. I mean wouldn’t it be more useful if we’d actually practice some real spell-casting?” Kat rolled her eyes and placed her quill between the book she had been reading, “Professors seem to think we have absolutely nothing else to do – especially in the weekend – than to write essays.”<br>
“But besides huge piles of homework – what do you think of Hogwarts so far?” Kat asked leaning back in her chair, eyeing her homework warily, not really feeling up to do it right now.

Hogwarts?...Yeah its great-I dont usely Look around that much, I only stay put.
I've been lost here and there and had to Ask a few people to help me through the way.
Have you been to the Quidditch Matches?!?!?-Their Crazy!.
You sure been nice to me, and its only been Half and hour...
Carole Got up and walked to a nerby bookcase and return the book she had in her lap.
Carole sighed...she been despretly wanting to Ask Kat a question....
"Just get it over with Carole!-get a grip of your self!" said her head.
then she asked Kat-
"Do you....Do you want to be my friend...please?"

Kat watched as Carole took her book back to the shelf and then asked almost shyly, is Kat would be her friend.
Kat raised one shapely eye-brow in an questioning arch as she smiled back at Carole, after a moment of stunned silence: “Do you even have to ask? I’d love to be your friend.”<br>
“You haven’t looked around Hogwarts? Really? I was wandering around the halls for months at evenings and afternoons, when I first came to this place,” Kat grinned leaning back, “I know the castle rather well now. Mainly thanks to those trips around this place and talking with the portraits. Peeves showed quite some places as well, as I’ve helped him prank Filch a couple of times.”<br>
“About Quidditch,” Kat grimaced slightly and rubbed her face, “I have to admit, that I have only gone to one game. I don’t really care much about it. I may do sports, but I never have the patients to sit and watch one. I am a muggle-born as well, so I don’t really even know much about the game.”<br>
Kat grimaced once again and rubbed her face, lowering her voice a little, but not so much Carole would have to strain her ears to hear her: “I’m actually frightened of flying myself on a broom. I don’t mind muggle planes, but brooms go a bit too far for me. I mean I love riding the horses back home, but there is something unnatural about sitting on a little piece of wood.”<br>
“What about you? Like quidditch very much?” Kat asked curiously with a small smile, tilting her head to the side.

Carole Smiled as Kat agreed to be her friend.
"Quidditch..Nah...Not really, they really get your ears boomed from all the screaming."Carole Said.
She just remembered the word-Horses.
"Did you just ring a little bell-of the word horses???, I mean-I just LOVE horses...and Unicorns in the Wizarding World.They just adorable."Carole Blushed.
Carole Stood up and Streeeeeeeeeeeech and yawn.
"sorry, Excuse me-I just get really stiff sitting down."
Carole Tilted her head and smiled.

Kat smiled, as Carole admitted, she didn’t care much for Quidditch either. It was a lot easier this way, than it had been, when Carole had been a huge fan.
“Yes, I know what you mean. Unicorns are sweet. Have you seen thestrals also? They remind horses a bit as well,” Kat said with a smile, “And you love horses? SO do I. they are just bloody fantastic. I have my own horse plus 8 others back at home. We have a little private stable on the grounds. You have to come over some day and see them. Have you rid horses before as well?”
Kat smiled as Carole stretched: “Yea, I know what you mean. As comfortable as the chairs around here are, they can still get you stiff.”<br>

"Yeah sure I Love to come around to your place one day ;D, I've rode Lodes of horses back home-Just horse rides and stuff."carole said with a Jumpy kind of voice.
"NEXT PIECE OF HOMEWORK!"Carole's head reminded her.
"Professor Flitwick wants us to write 2 pages of parchment on the spell-Wingardium leviousa-Its just annoying-2 PARCHMENTS!!!."
She thought back to her first year-she didnt get as much homework back then-and now she has heaps-She has to be gratefull-or else you didnt learn anything Exciting.
"So...have you finished your homework-I almost have"

“I still have half an inch in DADA, but I still have 3 days to finish it, so I’m in now hurry with it,” Kat shrugged, pushing her books and parchments back into her over-shoulder bag and smiling at Carole.
“Lodes of horses back home – where do you live then? And you are welcomed by any time – the house is big enough,” Kat said before smiling brightly: “Charms? I love them – I have a natural talent for them it seems. Flitfick has given me some private tutoring even. I know all the charm’s for first year, and most for second year as well and can perform them practically in sleep. I’m working on third year level right now.”<br>
Cat smiled thinking of charms: “They just come to be so easily. I have loads of trouble in transfiguration though, so that evens things up. As good as I’m in charms, that worse I am in Transfiguration. I could really use some tutoring.”<br>
“Wingardium Leviosa is based mainly of the wrist movement. The ‘swish’ part - it has to be smooth enough with a little arc. If you get that right with the pronouncing, then you basically have the spell on the whole,” Kat said with a grin, “SoO do you have any plans for when you are finished with homework, or would you like to spend some time together?”<br>

“Do that. Come over I mean. My brother is gone on business trips half the time anyways,” Kat shrugged before eyeing Carole, “And I suck at cooking, so we’ll either have to throw something in together. And my us, I mainly mean you at the moment. Or live on home-ordering.”<br>
“So tell me something. Anything,” Kat smirked, “Oh, I know. That is a bad question to ask, but.”<br>

“Good. My brother is a great cook, but he is away on business often, as I already said and I’m not really that good of a cook,” Kat explained with a smile, “So I’m already known to Chinese, Mexican and pizza cafeterias, who take home-orders as well. So while my brother is away I eat that, warm something in the oven or go out, charging the bills to my brother. We can freely do that as well.”
Kat winked and grinned wickedly: “But should you come over, I’ll count on the fact you can cook. Don’t worry – not every time though.”<br>

Cassandra walked into the library to do what she does best....study. She watched the people in the corner talking and studying together, and of course, as usual, she tried to get as far away as possible. She had already run into some Slytherins today, and she needed no more problems. Cassandra sat down and began to unload her bookback, dreading her Transfiguration homework and potions. She was pretty sure Snape was after her or something. Cassandra looked around and wondered how Melony and Megan would take all in all these books. She could hear them in her head now.

Cassandra continued to eye the girls as they looked like they were ready to leave. Goodness, they probably think I'm a freak she thought as they talked. She felt extremely exasperated at the thought of another lonely semester here at Hogwarts. But what could he do now? She already sat across the room, probably already alienating them from her. Or, maybe they could already tell she was a muggle born from some secret, ancient spell she didn't know about. Whatever the matter was, it was probably better to stay over here in her corner.
Cassandra's hazel eyes flickered up for one more quick glance at the two laughing girls. She overheard one of them speak of horseback riding. She liked doing that.
