Carrying his Transfiguration textbook and his equally heavy file of notes Robin walked from the Gryffindor common room to the library, humming a tune under his breath, though he was hardly in a good mood. In fact he was feeling rather irritable, and had it not been that he must study and finish off some Transfiguration essays for Professor McGonagall he would have put off his studying till later. But then that was typical Robin – leaving his work till the last possible minute was a habit he had never managed to get rid of even after seven years at Hogwarts.
Robin entered the library and stopped humming, looked at the clock and sighed. “It’s so quiet in here,” he thought, almost resentfully. He looked at the students poring over their work, studying so very diligently, and once again he sighed. He found a seat as far away from Madam Pince as he could and opened his textbook. He started reading, and soon he had finished reading the first page. He turned the page and then looked up and stared into space. “It’s such a lovely day, and I have to sit cooped up in here when there’s so much I could do outside,” he thought.
Soon Robin had read quite a bit of the chapter he was studying when he came to a part he couldn't remember from last year. Robin looked around for a sixth year to help him. He soon saw a familiar blonde head bent over a book. "Might as well ask her if I want to get this finished," he thought. The seat beside Dorian Strathclyde was empty, so Robin went over and sat beside her. Then, noticing that she wasn't aware of his arrival, he smiled cheekily to himself and slid his hand onto her textbook and waited for her to look at him. "Sorry for interrupting you," he said with a smile, "but could you help me? I'm trying to understand how we transfigured those hamsters last year into scarves." Robin had been reading about animal transfigurations and there were several parts he couldn’t remember from last year. He hoped Dorian would help as he couldn't stand sitting in the library for a long time.
