“Cass!” Dana shouted noticing her friend walking down-stairs. Sitting on the railing of the stair-case Dana slid down quickly, passing other students and smiled at Cassandra as she landed on her feet in front of her, ”Hey, how’s it going? Haven’t had time to talk or chat for quite long? You still have to tell me how did that date with Pyro go?”
Dana smiled happily and grabbing Cassandra’s arm dragged her a bit further from the traffic in the corridor. Reaching the window-sill, Dana let go of Cassandra’s arm and jumped to sit on the ledge, while swinging her legs happily: “So you up to anything interesting right now?”
Dana grimaced and rubbed her cheek: “I seriously thinking about raiding the Prefects bathroom and having a nice long bath with a facial and giving myself a manicure. I could seriously need it.”
Dana shrugged and swung her legs happily while pulling out a chocolate from and handing one to Cassandra, while opening the other herself: “But there’s no rush with that. So if you aren’t in any hurry, maybe we could chat and catch up a bit. Get a snack and a drink from the kitchens – I could use a cheese-ball right now. So what do you say?”
(I'm bored. And this probably isn't the greatest start, but think you'll manage or should I start again with something else?))

((Nope this is fine. ;D))
Cass nearly fell down the stairs when Dana jumped down from the railing and pulled over to the window ledge. " Ooh, Chocolate. Thanks," Cass took it happily," I love chocolate. Yeah, that's fine about the kitchens. I haven't had a cheeseball in forever. Well, if you count Christmas as forever."
She let the older girl lead the way since she had no idea where the kitchens were. " Well, the date went okay. Of course, he had attacked me with a shinai earlier in the day, but that was all forgiven and partly my fault anyway."
Then suddenly it sank in what Dana said, " WAit, the Prefects have their own bathroom?! "

“Christmas should come three or four times a year in my opinion. I don’t even mind the mistletoe,” Dana grinned, “And I have gotten caught under it with some pretty nasty people. Kissing seventh year Slytherin who obviously doesn’t know a thing about personal hygene, isn’t my idea of a nice tradition.”
Dana shuddered at the horrifying memory: “Luckily I react before he did and managed to get away with just a quick peck on his cheek. I think the mistletoe had some compassion for me, but I’m just glad I haven’t gotten caught under one with Snape. I mean it’s wizarding mistletoe, so you can’t get away until you kiss that greasy guy. Uh, just the thought will give me nightmares!”
Dana and Cassandra had been moving while Dana talked, so Dana stopped in front of the painting of the fruit-ball and tickled the pear to turn it into a door-handle. After entering the kitchen Dana smiled at the house-elf that appeared and ordered for some cheese-balls before turning to Cassandra with big eyes: “He attacked you with shinai… You sure he’s still in his right mind? I mean I wouldn’t really like my dates to approach me with some sort of blade? How did it happen anyway?”
Dana looked down as the house-elf appeared with a plate full of cheese-cakes and ate one, before continuing with a grin: “Yep, the prefects have their own bathroom. The bathroom is rather fit for a princess though – the bath is practically a small pool plus different showers and different scents of water and bubbles. Almost anything you can imagine to make a perfect bathroom and more. Kris showed me where it was once and he told me the password as well.”
Cass followed the girl into the kitchens. " That's positively sickening. To think I've been using the showers in that awful bathroom by the common room. Anyway, the thing with the shinai is my fault. He went on and on about how great he was at martial arts. Well, I had a little Kendo training so I just couldn't let him go on and on about it. So, I thought it would be great to challenge him to a duel. Well, he was more than a bit better than me and got me in the shoulder."
She showed Dana the still purple bruise on the shoulder. " I've really got to reign in his cockiness. I hate that Slytherin cockiness sometimes. I met Kris and he was there as well. I think he was laughing as Pyro whipped me. By the way, I need to return his cloak. I still have it on my bed. I sent it to be cleaned and it just got it back."
The house elves came quickly with the cheese balls, and she began to munch on the happily. Before she could even ask for a Butterbeer, they appeared with one for each of them.

“I know. The bathrooms in the dormitories aren’t that great. And all the girls trying to get in or get in front of the mirror at once,” Dana rolled her eyes, knowing that Cassandra would understand her point. “And that Kendo part makes it more understandable. Is your shoulder going to be alright?” Dana asked nodding towards Cass’s wounded shoulder, before hse raised a curious eye-brow, ”You were alone with two Slytherins? I’m not afraid of them – both Kris and Pyro are nice guys, but then again. I’m not a Gryffidnor. The school would be hocked. And Dumbeldore charmed the unity of the school.”
Dana shook her head: “Don’t bother with the cloak though. He told me which one he gave you and it was a bit small for him anyway. Besides, Kris isn’t a SLytherin for nothing. Me and Mary – a Slytherin third year, who is practically a sister, are the only ones who can borrow his cloak without him abandoning the cloak for good. Besides – even though Kris doesn’t really believe muggle-borns are dirt nor htat all GRyffindors are the ‘noble and stupid guys’,” Dana quoted a comment she had heard from a SLytherin in the hallway the other day, knowing Cassandra wouldn’t think she believed in that, “Kris wouldn’t wear a cloak earlier being worn by a Gryffindor as much of a nice guy he can be. He has a dark and mean side enough for that.”
Dana shrugged and accepted the butter-beer that was brought to them and took a sip: “So enjoy the cloak, as it is made form the best material – Kris just woulnd’t accept anything less. And don’t worry. He is wealthy enough to not even notice the cost of a new one. He has a rather nice family-fortune that will give him a life-time of easy-living even with buying new cloaks every week and he has complete control over it. He goes through cloaks and clothes like he goes through girls.”
Dana ate a cheese-ball thinking of Kris. She loved him as a brother and he felt the same way, but sometimes Kris was careless and worried Dana. He usually had an enough level head to keep him out of bigger trouble though, even when Dana didn’t approve some of his decisions.
Kris ate a cheeseball and after swallowing it smiled at Cass once again: “But I’m sure we can find something more happier and better to talk about than my arrogant cousin, how ever much I love him as brother. So you and Pyro have any other plans made as well for a… dunno… second date or something like that?”
Cass smiled at the thought of Pyro. " Honestly, there are no plans yet for a second date. As much as he says he doesn't care about the whole House thing, I think it still bothers him. He just won't admit it though. It was incredibly cute though. I walked up to him at the party and he had this completely sour face and he looked all grumpy. Then, I got his attention and his face just lit up like his mother had made his favoriate supper."
She took a sip of her butterbeer and ate another cheese ball. " Ugh, I just know this is all going to my thighs."

“Eh,however many good friends I have in Slytherin – they are all very prideful people who need some getting used to before you can start calling them friends. They sure are wroth it though,” Dana grinned back at Cassandra and smiled as she told her about the Valentine day’s party.
“That is so cute. And so utterly flattering for you to make him cheery again,” Dana grinned broadly at Cassandra’s story, “a real moment to go ‘awww’, if we talk about clichéd movies.”
Dana threw a cheeseball into her moth and grinned at Cassandra: “Think they won’t go to my thighs? But a girl must have some fun from time to time. Besides we can jog or dance it off later.”
Cass took a sip of the butterbeer in her hand. " That is totally cliched your right. However, its nice to see a softer side of him. I don't really think he realized how hard he comes off to people. Many of the girls in my house were really surprised he had an emotional side to him at all. One of them was actually surprised he even knew what a girl was."
But she sighed, " But still, its not really going anywhere, I hate to get my hopes up and then him squashing them."

“If he squashes your hopes, then let me know and I’ll help you castrate him,” Dana took a sip of his butterbeer before standing and stretching while sending a grin towards Cass, “Well, maybe castrating would be a bit harsh. But I’m sure we could hex him or at least get some sort of revenge. Have him walking around in Gryffindor colors. Or charming his head to a lion’s head for the next Quidditch game – your very own team mascot!”
Dana shrugged and made a cartwheel at the open space in the kitchen, feeling the need to burn off some energy: “I’ve always thought that a little harmless revenge makes you at least feel better.”
Dana balanced herself on her hands for a moment, before getting on her feet once again: “I might not be the absolutely best shoulder to cry on, but I’m always up for something like that or some prank.”
Cass laughed, " That would show a Slytherin to break my heart. Turn him into a team mascot."
Cass looked in amazement as Dana turned a cartwheel. " You know, I could never master a cartwheel. I usually always fall on my face. Apparently, I found my athletic calling on a broom. Figures, I was never good a sports back home, but as soon as I get on a broom, I'm a natural. Funny how things turn out like that."
She had finished her butterbeer and opened up the bag she was carrying with her. She pulled out a large sketchpad and opened it to a drawing with a woman in a dress. The picture was colored in half-blue with some green and pink spirals littered throughout. The dress the woman was wearing with what looked like Morticia Adams sleeves with a skirt that ruffled out at the bottom. Cassie then pulled out a quill. She began to color in the picture with Dana's hair color and eye color. With half finished colored dress, you could already tell it would look good on her friend.
She turned around the half finished drawing and showed it to her friend. " You like?"

“Really? Doing a cartwheel isn’t that hard actually. You just have to do it quickly so you won’t fall out of balance. Actually I was though that my cousin, hold onto m waist with one hand and did a cartwheel using his other arm, while just pulling me along. It was scary, but I got the point,” Dana shrugged and made a circle with her head, “I’ve never been able to pull off a salto though.”
Dana smiled as Cass mentioned flying but shook her head resolutely: “I can’t fly. I just can’t. I’m too scared off getting on a broom and pushing myself off. I have no problems flying on a muggle air-plane, but I just can’t stand flying on a broom. I’m just death-scared of it.”
Dana glanced at the painting Cass had brought out and then did a touble-take. “Wow,” Dana exclaimed stepping closer as she examined the picture thoroughly, “It looks awesome! Both the picture – I didn’t know you were that good of a drawer – and the dress looks magnificent as well! I love it!”
Cass smiled at the compliment. " Thanks. When my dad got sick, I ended up having to make alot of my own clothes. I'm told I'm pretty handy with a needle and thread. I just got use to desigining stuff. I really think that would look great on you."
She thought about for a moment. " You know, I actually have the fabric in the common room. If you want, I can make it for you. It would take a while, but I could do it." She finished coloring in the picture.

“You would do that to me? Wow,” Dana whispered and glanced at Cass hesitantly, “Are you sure you wouldn’t mind? I mean it would be a lot of work and you also have your school-work and all that. But I would love that dress.”
Dana tilted her head and examined the dress with a broad smile: “Do you have any other designs? Want to hold your own fashion-show here at Hogwarts? I’m sure every girl in the castle would love something like this.”
Cass smiled at her friend. " Of course I wouldn't mind making it for you. It's not a big deal. The lady in the robe shop in Hogsmeade taught me how to do all that stuff with a wand. If you want to look at any of the other designs, theres a ton in the book. That's just my stuff for women."
She pulled out another worn sketchbook. " This is all my stuff for men. I don't get to do these very often. Most guys would rather buy there stuff of the rack then have them tailored."
She thought about the fashion show idea. " I'm not really sure about that. I never expected to be the castle seamstress."

“Really? That would be great!” Dana grinned happily, already thinkling wehre she could wear that new dress, “DO you need me while you’re making it as well to try it on – to see if it fits correctly or for anything like that? If you do just let me know and I’ll come running.”
Dana started to flip through the sketches Cass had and nodded absent-mindedly: “Slytherins. Try with Slytherins – most of the guys there wear only tailor-made clothes and they have the money for that. Even my own cousin wears only tailor-made clothes – he even had his jeans hand-sewn especially for him.”
Hearing Cass’s comment about becoming a seamstrees, Dana looked up with a grin: “Who knows – might be fun though. For you as the designers, the girls you’d pick as models – and the guys, if you’ll add the guys as well. And I’m sure a lot of people would love to have the clothes from your designs. I know I’d like rather many of them.”
Cass frowned at the idea of sewing for Slytherins. " I can hear them now. ' The pathetic mudblood can only sew clothes. She's not even good enough to do real magic.' I don't know if I want that humiliation."
She pulled a measuring tape out of her bag, and began to perform a charm on it. The tape flew toward Dana and began to take measurments. " The robe maker in Hogsmeade taught me how to do this. She also gave me this tape. Somehow, it remembers the measurments. Neat little contraption."
The tape finished it work and it flew back into her bag. " I wouldn't mind doing something for Kris or Pyro, but I may have to pass on the rest of them. I've already had a run in with the Queens this week, and I don't want another excuse to come after me again."

Dana grinned as the measuring tape flew to her and stood still calmly, as it took her measurements. “I can talk for Kris,” Dana reached over and started flipping through the sketches for guys, admiring some of the outfits, “He would want some of these things and has the money to pay for them, so it’s a good way for you to earn some pextre-money.” Dana didn’t bother to comment, that Kris had complete control over his family-fortune and could afford new cloaks or outfit for each day for as long as he lived without ever having to worry about poverty.
“He spends almost as much as I do on clothes and probably would appreciate his tailor as much as I would appreciate a good tailor, hair-dresser, jeweler or cosmetician,” Dana shrugged and returned to the outfits for girls, “Oh, I love this blouse!” Dana gasped and turned the sketch-book, so Cass could see which one she meant. It was a crème blouse with straps criss-crossing over the back and the blouse would show off every curve of ones body, but it still had class and elegance to it that Dana loved.
“You ran into the queens?” Dana scoffed, “Rather like the Spawns of Dungeons in my opinion. What did they do to you?”
Cass heaved a sigh. " Oh the usual. Pain, embarrasment. It wasn't that bad. It was very funny. I don't think they expected me to react back. One of them used silencio on me and I stepped on her foot. It was great!" Cass couldn't help but laugh at the memory.
