Cloud 9 was the only way to describe it.
Cass nearly floated into the Great Hall the next morning after Pyro and her had their talk. God, what nerve it took her to do that last night.
She raced into the Great Hall hoping to find her friends, but mostly Dana because she was the first one she wanted to share the exciting news with.

Dana was heading to the Great Hall to get some breakfast with a first year she had helped with her homework the previous evening. Noticing Cass rush by with seemingly in great mood, Dana smiled and apologized to the first year and hurried forwards a couple of steps and called out her name. Casandra rushed into the Great Hall still though, so Dana grinned, figuring she must have been so within her thoughts that she didn’t even hear her.
“Hey, Cass!” Dana said picking up sped and jogging after Cass, reaching her, when the younger girl hadn’t got much further from the Great Hall doors, “Where’s the rush? You didn’t even hear, when I called after you?”<br>Dana took in Cass’s broad smile and a new happy spring to her walk and couldn’t help but to grin herself as well: “From the way you beam, I must guess it’s good news.”<br>

Cass turned around and smiled to see her friend Dana behind her.
" Oh, sorry I didn't hear you. I've been in a bit of a daze since last night. Well, anyway, remembering you telling me that you would to get me and Pyro together in Hogsmeade. Well, lets just say thats not needed anymore," she smiled at the girl.
" Well, I was kind of out walking last night, and apparently hed got locked outside the castle and we saw each other near the forest. We probably sat and talked about an hour, and I just got my gumption up and asked him to your party," the words spilled out of Cass's mouth like a tidal wave. She was so excited.
" No, how it will go. I don't know. But the big step is over thank goodness."

Jordan left the dormitory and the common room to make her way down to the Great Hall, her brown hair twirled neatly into a hair-do that Amelia had done. She loved her best-friend for the art she could do with hair, something Jordan had no talent with. Jordan scanned the Great Hall and spotted Cass and Dana. She quickly made her way over there with a glittering smile.
"You will be happy to hear, my arm is completely healed." Jordan greeted Cass, referring to the quidditch aftermath. She lifted her right arm as if to show Cass that she could move it without wincing. Jordan crossed her arms and looked at Cass, suspicous, "Hey, Dana." Jordan turned to Cass, eyebrows raised, "OK, what's with beam-central? You're all smiles today." Jordan and Cass had a rather lengthy talk in the Hospital Wing, after Quidditch. They found out a lot about each other, it's amazing what a game of Truth will do to ya.

" Wonderful," she exclaimed to Jordan," I was just telling Dana the news. I asked Pyro out. He said yes."
She really couldn't hold in her glee. This year was going to be the best.

Jordan's eyebrow was still raised, then she smiled and flung her arms around Cass, "To the Valentines thing right?" Jordan asked with a smile as she pulled away. Jordan twirled the yellow strand of hair around her finger and tilted her head, "I need all the details."
"Like, what time you asked him, where, what he said, what you said, et cetera." Jordan swung her shoulderbag around to the front and took out a bag of cookies, handing one to Cass and one to Dana and keeping one for herself.

Cass took the cookie. " Thanks," she nibbled at it.
" Well, I was on the lawn late last night, and somehow he got locked out of the castle. He saw me there and we just started talking. Things just kind of progressed from there. We weren't talking about anything in particular just chatting. After we walked back, I just braved myself up and asked him to come with me."
Cass looked around dreamily." I'm so excited about it."

“And you should be. Pyro is a nice enough guy,” Dana grinned accepting the cookie from Jordan and happily biting into it, “So when is the big date coming? Tell us more, honey!”<br>Dana smiled happily – she was really glad Cassandra had gotten a chance to see, if she and Pyro matched and if they did then if they could work.
“I’m sure everything is going to go fine,” Dana said smiling happily at Cassandra. Her good mood was contagious and Dana felt as if her own spirits had been lifted as well.

Cass smiled exuberantly. " Well, I think there first big night out is going to be at the party, but you never know if something will come before. He's incredible shy. I'm not really sure why though."
" But it's okay. I think we will have a wonderful time. Maybe this time we will actually figure out who the better dancer is."
