Katie was walking down the corridor cold and wet. She had a frown on her face and she took her wand and taped her head changing into warmer and dry clothes. She had just been in a snow ball fight as she walked by.
Katie than smiled and held her guitar tight in her hands and her notebook in the other. She walked down the corridors to the student lounge to play and make up prank ideas.
She than reached the student louge and sat down in a big couch by the fire and took out her guitar and held it right and started to play. She hummed to herself lightly as her hands glided over the strings. Katie smiled as she finshed and she pushed her long brown hair behind her ears and took out her notebok and started to write more lyrics and music.

Justin looked around as he played his guitar. He did'nt see anyone he knew in the common room. He thought this rather strange as he knew quite a few people. He decided that he would rather see if anyone was in the student lounge. He quickly grabbed his bag and guitar ,then headed out of the portrait hole. He walked down the stairs and hummed a song from back home. He could imagine the weather in Texas as he looked out the windows. It might be cold ,but more than likely not snowing. His faviorite football teams would be playing and he would be outside playing football to. He then stopped in front of the entrance to the lounge and entered.
He looked around and saw first year Gryffindor Katie Davenport with her guitar also. He walked over and said " Hey Katie ,mind if i join you?" in a cheerful voice.

Katie was biting her pen stuck on some lyric ideas. Normally she could write right now but so many things clouded her mind. She was to visit her father over the winter break but only for on day. Katie dreaed this but luckly Jordan will be there for her. She smiled as she remembered her sister, oh how Katie loved her so much and felt happy and safe around her.
Katie than notice Justin come in and ask if he could sit with her. She nooded her head and moved over so he can have enough room to play.
"Sure you can sit here I been trying to work on this song for Jordan but it never turns out right, and since I followed Vanessa and Kyle one night she hates me." Katie said puting her notebook on her lap and staring off into space. She remebered that night with Kyle and Vanessa, both fith year Hufflepuffs. She had screamed at Vanessa for trying to make fun of Jordan, but lucky Jordan she made fun of Vanessa.
Katie sighed and continue to write the lyrics. She wonted to give this to Jordan very soon to say that she was happy to be with her. She once again bit on her muggle pen and stared at her paper. She than just decied to play the music and words might come to her mind. Katie than put her notebook on the other side of her so it wasnt in Justin way of playing his music. Katie started to play and she could hear the sweet soft sound fill the air. Katie closed her eyes and hummed to herself.

Jordan entered the student lounge with a scowl plastered on her face. She made her way over to Katie and Justin and couldn't handle it anymore.
"Oh Jordan, dear, we have to make you stay at school for Winter Break. We just simply couldn't have you over. Bull cockey!" She pracitcally yelled and she slumped down onto a chair with a big sigh. She looked at Katie and Justin, managed a small smile and then went on with her ranting.
"Then there's her. How dare she come into my brother's life?! She doesn't deserve Chris! Rosa and Chris are perfect for each other. Aren't they Katie? I mean, honestly!Justin even says that they should get together. Oh, not you Justin, Justin Cortes, my brother." Jordan finally threw a pillow at the wall and closed her eyes, reciting her periodic table and then smiled and opened them.
"Anyway, what are you guys' doing?" She asked, looking as if nothing had just happened.

Katie put her notebook away right away so Jordan didnt see her other Christmass present.
"I can't believe it either wheres the letter I wont to see it for myself!" Katie said. She knew that Jordan was right about Chris being with Rosa and how they make a great couple.
"Lets like we are going to have a bad Christmass this year Jordan. Going to my fathers tomrows and then coming back to Hogwarts for Christmass." Katie said with a sigh. She had really hoped she could go over to Jordans house for Christmass. It would of her first "real" Christmass with people who cared about her.
She than notice that Justin was siting next to her as she said something about her father. Her eyes widen in shock and she turned back around to her guitar and continued to play the same sweet soft music.

Jordan stiffly handed Katie the two letters, one stating that they were to spend Christmas at Hogwarts, and another saying that Chris and Pat's wedding will be in February, on Valentines day. But, Jordan had wanted to stay at Hogwarts on Valentines day, maybe she could get out of going to the wedding. Maybe.
"Well, you might have to stay at Hogwarts, but I might go to the Moore's. At least, Pay is taking Sethia and I think Dill would be allowed to bring a friend. And if he is, then I hope he brings me...but either way, it's gonna be a crummy Christmas." Jordan told her, a small smile crossing her face and that familiar twinkle in her eye.

Katie raised her eyebrows at Jordan and smiled a teasing smile.
"I think he will invite you don't worry about that." Katie said continuing to play her guitar. She smiled as she finshed the whole song. She was bored now and needed something to do. She than notice her pockets and a sly smile came to her face. She had just invited the fake cookie. She called it the "Fake Cookie", she thought it was chessy but it was an idea.
"Okie dokie I need to prank some one lets see." Katie said looking around the student lounge and seeing if a Slytheirn was in there. She wonted to prank Crabbe again but he knew about her book idea and fake candy. Another smile came across her face and she got out her book and handed it to Justin. How could he have know about what the secerts lay within it.

Jordan smiled and looked down at her hands. She then looked up as Kaite handed Justin a book. Jordan wasn't really interested in the book, but she was interested in the notebooks that lay beside Katie. She swiftly grabbed them up and read them, her brown eyes looking swiftly over the words.
"Hmm, you gonna sing this Katie? Or is she?" Jordan spat out the last word. She didn't want to say the name. Vanessa was too cursed to say.

"Jordan give those back to me I am not finshed with them yet." Katie said taking her note book back from Jordan. She didnt wont her to know the song she was going to give Jordan for a christmass present. She sighed as she meioned She, Vanessa Link. Oh how Katie didn't like her much anymore. She made Katie mad when she talked about Jordan like that. She should get to know people beofore judging them.
"Lets not meioned "her" okay I made this up my self and I think that there going to be better than "Hers" Katie said with a digusted look and continued to play her guitar.

Jordan chuckled softly and looked at Katie.
"Katie, Vanessa's been playing since she could read, which was when she was 4. She's good. Admit it, you need her help with lyrics at times." Jordan teased as she grabbed another pillow and threw it at her sister. Her eyes then turned to Justin.
"I haven't seen you around in awhile. You've been hiding or something?" She asked, a smile on her lips and a twinkle in her eyes.

katie laughed as Jordan hit her with a pillow. She than threw it back at Jordan and looked up at Justin. She smiled and threw a pillow at him. Everyone needed a nice pillow fight.
"This is better than a snowball fight. I got caught in one." Katie said with a frown. She was just taking a walk outside in the snow and people kept on hiting her with snowballs. Katie really didnt like snow at Hogwarts anymore but it was fun at times to hit people with a snowball. Katie smiled and she grabbed another pillow and hit Jordan with it.
"Will see about that." katie said with a smile.

Justin flashed a grin as she said he could join her. She told him about to fifth year Hufflepuffs he did'nt know and said that they were mad at her and about a song she was making for Jordan. Justin said " Well I'm sure you'll get it down sometime." Justin sat down and listened as Katie played her guitar.
Then Justin nearly jumped out his seat as Jordan appeared out of nowhere and began to rant about not being able to go home for Christmas and said something about him ,but then she told him it was her brother Justin Cortes. She then settled down and asked what they were doing and Justin piped in and said " Well she's playing the guitar and I'm about to play." Then Katie asked to see the letter ,which Justin had no idea what was going on. Justin just listened. When the subject came to Christmas Justin said " At least ya'll can leave ,my parents said that I am not come home this christmas. Guess they're still mad." he then heard Katie say something about her dad and quickly began to play again. Justin listened a bit more and Katie handed him abook ,then he heard Jordan ask him a question. He answered and said " Oh I've been in America with my brother. He got hurt pretty badly and my mom and dad sent me to him ,guess they're mad at him to." He then looked at the book and remembered that Katie had said she wanted to prank someone and just then handed him the book.
Justin smiled as they began a pillow fight and Justin thought that this was good as time as any to see what would happen if he opened the book. He turned the book so that if he opened it it would open torwards Katie. As soon she got near him he opened it a few inches from her face.

Katie than notice that Justin spoke and he was saying something about Christmass. A frown came onto her face and she looked into the fire. She could remember the lonly nights alone in her manor and her father...... Katie tried not to cry and she held back the tears. She didnt wont to tell Justin about her horrible past she didnt know him too well. She than wondered what he ment by not going back to his house for Christmass.
"What did you try to do?" Katie asked him looking at him with a sparkle in her eyes. She than smiled as he put the book in her face. She didnt think and nothing happened. She laughed at his attempt to get her back.
"Nice try Justin." Katie said and hit him with another pillow and continued to laugh.

Justin did'nt smile as Katie asked him why he was'nt allowed at home. Justin said " My parents were fighting and somehow i wound up stunned by both of 'em. Anyways I packed my bags and headed to my brothers and stayed there the rest of the summer. Then i got in a fight with a Slytherin in Diagon Alley. My parents have been mad at me since then and I have been mad at them since they stunned me. Do'nt get me wrong though my dad is and excellent Auror." He then got conked on the head by a pillow and Justin grabbed one and conked katie on the head while she was'nt looking.

Katie listen to Justin past, she had never been in a fight yet with a Slytherin. She than turned her head and Justin hit her on the head with a pillow. She turned her head and laughed. She grabbed another pillow and threw it at him. She than threw one at Jordan becuase she was quiet.
"Sorry....... can't really tell you yet about my past to much pain." Katie said and she looked into the fire again. She didnt wont to go back to her fathers yet she only had to for one day but Jordan will come. Katie could feel her heart stirke with fear and she gluped. She didnt really like to make a big deal about her father.

Elizabeth was sitting on her bed trying to do her homework, but the more she tried, the more she became stressed out. Elizabeth wanted to be with her friends, so she ventured off to find them. Elizabeth got to her feet, pulled back her long brown hair into a rubberband, and walked downstairs into the common room.
She could not see her friends, or anyone she knew in the common room so she went out the portrait hole wondering if they could possibly be in the student lounge.
When she got there she saw her friends Katie, Justin, and Jordan sitting around talking about something that, by the looks of it was very intresting. "Hey guys, what's up?" asked Eizabeth egarly as she sat down by Katie.

Justin looked up as Lix walked up. He answered her question with an answer and said " Well I think that my IQ went down ,but the sky is still up." He looked around and waited for someone to ask another question. He was really intent upon letting others speak for a turn and waited with patience ,tough that was a first.

Katie heard a voice and it sounded like Elizabeth Sky. She turned around and looked up at her friend and fling forward crushing Liz in her bear hug. "Where have you been and why have you been hiding from me?" Katie said pulling away and reaching her coat pocket for a scarlet and gold wraped gift. The gift was shinning under the lights of the lounge. It made Katie heart filled with joy and she handed the brightly wraped gift to her best friend. "Open it up Liz i think you might like it!" Katie squealed with joy and grabbed Liz arm and directed her to seat down inbetween her and Jordan.
Katie smiled as Liz open the gift she than tilted her head at Justin she got him a gift but she was waiting for the right time to give it to him. She was planning on the trip that Hogwarts arraganed. "I will give your gift soon Justin." Katie said smiling and turning her attention to her friends reaction to her gift.
((the gift is a gold locket with a diamond emerlad of the letter E on it.))
