"Hmmm... Ohhh, now, this looks good," Robert said while looking through a book titled: The Giant Book of Jinxes and Curses. Ealier that day, a couple of fith year Slytherins had called him a mudblood. Now he was determined to get back at them. He was looking through the library for something that might help him get revenge. Turning the pages of the book, he finally found the thing he was looking for.
He read quetly to himself, "The Vengance Jinx... blah, blah, blah... blah, blah... garanteed to give the victum a taste of their own medicine for atleast two days. Perfect."
The next time that Slytherin said a word to him, he'd get a taste of his own medicine. Just then a fellow Ravenclaw came up to him.

The library was full of people today. Well more than usual it seemed. Being the Ravenclaw she was, Riku went to the library more often than not just to hang out and read. Today her usual spot was being occupied by a younger boy.
Riku smirked to herself as she headed over to the table and took a seat across from the boy. She put her things down than took a sideways glance at the book he was reading.
"Wow, wouldn't want that spell to be for me," She said softly with a cluck of her tongue. "Feel sorry for whoever you're going to give that jinx to."

"All I'm going to say is that I hate Slytherins." That was for sure.
Robert looked up at the girl. "Have you ever met a nice Slytherin? Does one even exist?"

Riku shook her head. She knew many people who did. She didn't really see WHY people hated them so much. She said nothing out of line to them so they didn't say much to her. Besides, if anyone, Slytherin or not, did try to get snippidy with Riku, she would surely get snippidy right back.
"I'm sure there is one, but no I haven't met one. There are like 100 Slytherin's in Hogwarts, I'm entirely sure that not all of them hate muggleborns," Riku said calmly. She eyed him closely watching his actions. He seemed younger than her, maybe just a third year.
Riku leaned back in her chair thinking. Maybe she only thought that they weren't that bad because she was a pureblood herself. Maybe not, but still it seemed like everyone hated the Slytherins. Why? She didn't know.
'No wonder they're so sour. Everyone seems to hate them, so why try to act friendly?' Riku thought to herself with a sigh.

"I doubt that will help much."
Robert thought to himself about what she said. Maybe they weren't all bad. But then again, I guess I can still hate the group that called me mudblood. It's a horrible thing to say and they deserve it. Maybe I could try to be nice. But in the end he made his decision. Unless they did something to him, he wouldn't judge tham without knowing them. Well, these did do something to me so, they're going to get it.
Even though he wasn't going to judge all Slytherins, he was glad he wasn't one himself.

Riku sighed, the boy seemed to have made up his mind about Slytherins. Then again, who was she to try to sway his opinion?
"Oh well, my opinion, not yours. So what did they do to make you hate them so much? Hate is such a strong word..." Riku said softly. She looked in her bag and took out some books. She put them on the table in front of her than looked back at the boy.

"Most people don't realize that being a muggle born isn't that much fun." Robert looked back at her. He had been drawing a little doodle of a giant raven with a snake in it's beak. The satisfactian from the drawing faded. "Especially pure bloods."
He hated being a muggle born. The only way it helped was that he recived top marks in Muggle Studies.
"You are a pure blood, are you not?"

Riku rose an eyebrow at the boy. How did he know that she was a pureblood? Was it beacuse that she stood up for the Slytherins? Or was it because of her confidence?
"What gave it away?" Riku asked him curiusly as she sat up straight and leaned closer to the table. She opened one of the books she put on the table. It was a book about Charms. She bit her lip. "Is that a bad thing?"
'Shall I study...but that would seem rather rude wouldn't it? Okay, I won't. I'll just open the book to make it LOOK like i am studying.' She thought to herself.

"The way you stood up for the Slytherins gave it away. Not to be rude, they're still not my favorite bunch." Robert liked talking with someone about something that he actually had an opinion of. "It's not bad to stick up for people you know, but if you don't know them, than why would you stick up for them?"

'Well, you can't say I didn't try,' Riku thought to herself with a sigh. She looked at the boy and shrugged.
"At least I try to give them a chance. Just because one disses you doesn't mean they all will," Riku said nonchalantly. She tilted her head to the side.
"But what makes you think that there aren't purebloods who hate Slytherins?" Riku asked him curiously.

"I never said they all did, but a majority do. I guess I just went with the odds, I am in Ravenclaw after all." Robert thought more abou what she said. "I guess I'll give the others a chance, but the once who called me that horrible name are still going to whish they never had."
Robert looked back at the book. What she was saying started to sink in even more. I might give them one more chance. "You know, I might just do that." Robert smiled, and tried to change the subject. He'd just realized that all their talking had kept her from studying.
"So what is that you've got there?" He pointed to the book laying out infront of her.

Smiling, Riku traced a circle on the table with her finger. At least she seemed to have gotten through to the boy...even a little.
"However, I am NOT telling you to let them taunt you and taunt you. If the same guy does it again...you better give them a piece of your mind." Riku said firmly as she looked at him. She looked down at the book she had just opened.
"Oh, I just opened this to make it LOOK like I'm studying. See a classic example of how looks can be decieving," Riku said smiling slightly.
"Do you study a lot, like all us Ravenclaws seem to do?" Riku asked him.

"Actually, I don't like to study that much. Atleast not in some subjects. I prefer to read. My mom sends me books all the time. I'm actually working on a childrens book. I'm thinking about publishing it. It would be in muggle book stores everywhere. Well, that's my goal. I want to be an author."
Robert blushed a little. He hadn't told anyone that before. It felt like an impossible dream.
"So what do you want to do when your older?"

"Thats awesome!" Riku said happily. That was a great dream and she didn't even have one. "I don't even know what I want to be when i get older. I don't really have any 'talents' or whatever."
She bit her lip as she closed the book. She didn't know what she liked to study so much. It was probably because that was the only time when she could actually have time to herself. Her parents made sure none of her brothers and sisters disturbed her when she studied. Well, at least they tried.
"I also like to read, though. I can spend all day reading if you let me. And sometimes I even DO do that. Reading lets me escape from reality. It lets me go into another world and into the mind of someone else. It's so cool too. Thats why I read when I'm feeling down or out of it. I can just leave my world for that time and go into someone elses." Riku said softly.

"The book I'm writing is about the wizarding world, but I started the series only a few month before I'd really discovered this place. Before my parents told me... I don't know how, but I dreamed of this place and wanted to be here so bad. And now I am, but it's so different than I'd imagined."
Robert thought about his first book in the series that he wrote. It all seemed so long ago. Out of nowhere, a thought popped into his head.
"I'd like to learn how to be an animangus." That sounded stupid.
