After his lock had opened, he fell into a silent focus again. He heard The lock neck to him click open, then after a few moments shut again.
Sydney must be doing well He thought to himself, allowing his focus to waver for a moemnt before his attention went back to his lock, his mind immediatly focusing on how best to say the spell so he would get his desired results.
He started for a few moments longer, before waving his want and reciting the charm
"Colloportus"
The lock clicked loudly and moved slightly, but id remained locked. He let out a slightly loud, displeased sigh, before repeating his attempt
"Colloportus" And this time the lock popped open.
He glanced over at Sydney, having heard her lock open and close again, he knew that she was done, smiled at her before getting up from his own seat and standing beside her, waiting for the proessor to check his spells

Nasser left Ancient Runes feeling slightly tired but excited to start Charms. Ancient Runes always left him feeling a bit drained as it was a subject that demanded maximum concentration, but Nasser enjoyed it all the same. It wasn't a subject he needed to become a Healer or Mediwizard, which were the careers Nasser was considering, but he had taken it as an elective because he always enjoyed the classes and preferred the subject to the other electives offered at Hogwarts.
After a quick drink of water in the Great hall Nasser walked over to Charms and looked around the class for any familiar faces. He greeted Professor Flitwick with a warm smile. The professor was standing on a pile of books as usual; his old and wrinkled face smiling as he surveyed the students seated before him. Not seeing anybody he knew he sat down in the second row beside a fellow Gryffindor and said "Hi Sydney," as he pulled out his Charms textbook and his wand and set them down on his desk. Nasser was sure Professor Flitwick would start the class with a quick revision on what they had learnt the previous year. Professor's Flitwick small introduction before they started the class confirmed his suspicion.
Professor Flitwick asked why charms were important and why students needed them, and Nasser listened as his fellow students gave reasons why they were. Nasser knew the answer to the question was in the first chapter of the book they had been using a few years ago when they had first started learning charms. You didn't really need a book to know the answer to the question, any student who had been doing charms and performing them would know that they were essential and entered in almost all branches of magic. Nasser's parchment was before him and his quill filled with ink and set on his parchment. Nasser wrote in his large handwriting a title and underlined it, and then wrote down all the reasons he could think of about why learning charms was important. He made a mental note to check them later in his old textbook to see if he had missed anything.
Professor Flitwick awarded both students points, and Nasser realised they were both Hufflepuffs. Oh well, there were always chances to get some points for Gryffindor later. Professor Flitwick then told them what their work for the day would be. The first thing they were going to do was revise summoning Charms, a charm Nasser used quite often as he often misplaced things including his eyeglasses, and would end up having to use the charm to find them. They would also be revising the Alohomora Charm, which was used to unlock closed doors or windows. The last thing they going to do was a locking charm, Colloportus. Nasser frowned as he heard their last task. Accio and Alohomora he could remember how to do, but Colloportus he wasn't too sure. Oh well, he'd worry about that when he did the first two tasks.
Nasser focused on imitating all the motions Professor Flitwick was showing them. Then he pulled up his sleeves and tried to summon the lock. "Accio lock," he said confidently. To his extreme annoyance nothing happened. Nasser tried again this time a note of annoyance in his voice. The lock zoomed at Nasser at a high velocity and Nasser caught it just before it his shoulder. He set it down on his desk and narrowed his eyes at it then proceeded with his next task. "Alohomora!" he said, moving his wand in the same way Professor Flitwick had showed them. He heard a click and looked at the lock happily, then his expression changed when he realised it had opened completely. He tried again and this time it opened all the way and Nasser looked at the lock warily as he prepared himself to perform his last task for today.
Nasser closed his eyes for a minute trying to remember how exactly to do the charm. He them focused all his concentration on the lock, and tried once, twice and three times, but the lock refused to close. Nasser decided he'd have to go to Professor Flitwick and ask for help and got up to do so. He felt a bit displeased and wished he had managed to accomplish that task but felt that he had tried his best. Just before Kim turned round to go back to her place Nasser tried once again not very enthusiastically and then he heard a soft click. The lock had closed! Nasser did the charm on the lock one more time for good measure making sure to flick his wand the same he had done before and then stood in the queue in front of Professor Flitwick.

Filius watched as Kim attempted. She was still very harsh and forceful when she gave her spell, but in the end it worked. She asked what she had to do next as Filius spoke. “Now the locking spell, Colloportus. You used a Counter-clock wise circle with a Flick." demonstrating the counter-clock wise circle four times he made she Kim watched. With a few flicks for demonstration he then spoke. "When you flick you say Colloportus. Do no force the spell, dear. Just keep your mind on the lock locking and dont think of anything else around you as you do the spell. Now try." Filius said as he looked at Kim.
Quickly turning to his other side, he noticed Sydney Rawson standing next to him quietly. "Thank you for being so patient. Let em see your Lock." Taking the lock out of her hand he set it down. Tapping it three times and a slight murmer of words under his breath the lock quickly unlocked and locked again. Looking back up at Sydney he smiled. "Good Job! Very Good work. I'll keep the lock here. The Homework will be on the board in a few seconds, you may return to your seat." Filius said with a smile as, he glanced over to Kim and watched her work. Turning back to his other side, Nasser Salah stood there. Taking the lock out of his hands he set it in front of him. Doing the same thing he did to Sydney's lock it magicly opened then locked again. "Good work as Well. I guess the Gryffindor 5th years are doing well this year." Filius said with a smile. With A nodd to Nasser that he may return back to his seat, Filius turned to Kim and watched her work untill she was finished.

Kim looked at Professor Flitwick demonstrate how to do the Colloportus spell it looked pretty easy. Waving her wand in a circle again she slashed it towards her lock while speaking "Colloportus" but once more nothing happened. Continuing to circle her wand and stab towards her lock she repeated "Colloportus" over and over again. After a long series of circles and slashes and what not Kim began to zone out once more. She really wanted to go get her broom and fly it over the lake. She never did that before it was she guessed a rule or something about that though but she wanted to try it some time, maybe she could even see some mermaids , they were supposed to live in the lake but not be as pretty as the ones on TV. While Kim thought her attention was brought back to class by a clicking noise. Looking down at her lock it had locked itself back up once more. Picking it up she tried to pull it but found the lock was secure. "How'd that happen?" Kim wondered as she looked around the room. "Here Professor" she said as she handed the lock to Professor Flitwick, "I'm done with the lock I think."

Looking at Kim with an astonished look on his face he noticed her pulling on the lock. Taking the lock he set it in front of him. Tapping it three times the lock quickly locked the unlocked locked the unlocked. Slightly leaning back in his chair he pushed the lock aside. "Good work Kim, But when you do the spell actually pay attention to what you do and the specific movments." Filius said with a caring look. He wanted her to do charms and pass, not just wave her wand and expect something to happen. "You can go back to your seat now." Filius said as he turned around and pointed to the chalk board behind him. On the board the homework showed up.

Still waiting for the professor to check his work, he scribbled down a rather untidy copy of the homework assignment. 100 words....he though for a moment. That was barely a foot of parchment. He wondered if he could manage to write something that short....
"Professor, I assume it is okay to run over?"
