Ivy sighed as she heard the Professor give them their next set of instructions. This was not going to be good. She took her candle and set it down on the table.
"IN YEEM," she said hoarsely, coughing. She smiled wryly to herself, but it was soon replaced as her main, terrible feeling inside at the moment took over again. She put her chin in her hands and gazed at the candle.
"IN YEEM," she repeated. "IN YEEM. IN YEEM. IN YEEM. IN YEEM!" Ivy looked at her candle bemusedly as it doubled in width with the last spell, which she had pronounced with a certain amount of annoyance, to become something closely resembling a tea light, if a slightly tired looking one. Ivy almost regretted it. The candle had been quite... cute... before she had done that. Oh well. At least she had managed the spell. She felt quite tired now, actually. Ivy laid her head down on her desk and rested until Professor Vector gave them the next set of instructions.
Ivy looked up and listened as Professor Vector told them to light their candles. Something with a potential for setting things on fire. Also not good. Ivy didn't want to be the shame of the school. She repeated the words over and over in her head, before saying the words, barely a whisper. "In-Flam". Nothing happened. Ivy increased the volume slightly, but still nothing happened. She chanelled all her mental energy into it this time, wanting to be over and done with it, and leave the class, as others were doing by now. "In-Flam," she said in a low whisper. The wick flickered to start with, and then gradually flamed. Ivy smiled, feeling rather exhuasted. She took the candle up to the desk quietly and put it there, waiting her turn for the Professor to examine it.
