Jack walked out of the castle and into the Grounds. It was a beautiful day with a light breeze the rustled his brown hair. He looked around, wondering what to do. He had just gotten back from his talk with Brooke, which had been an unpleasent one at that. He wanted to have a friendly face around, someone that he could talk to. He wasn't sure if Mack would feel up to it, since her life seemed filled with struggles. It was almost like she didn't have any room for Jack's own struggles. Plus, Jack didn't want to make Mack do something for him, it would just be unnatural. So he wondered around, bored out of his wits, looking for someone.
He wasn't looking where he was going, he just was letting his feet take him where they wanted. He found himself right by the edge of the lake. The breeze was sending ripples across the water, which lapped at Jack feet. He sat down in the grass, and looked up at the clear blue sky.
He was lost in thought when Jack finally looked around. He noticed that someone was in the lake. Someone with a blonde head and familiar prescense.... Bee! Jack stood up and jumped into the lake without any second thoughts. He swam up to her and grabbed her head and dunked it under water. He was just playing around, and he knew Bee wouldn't take it personally.

Bee had gone out in the early morning so she could have some peace and quiet. She went out in the lake and had dozed there, waiting for something to wake her up. She got her surprise in the early afternoon when her head was suddenly pushed under water. She felt the lake water coming through her mouth and her nose, which wasn't to pleasent. She struggled to get up, and found that she could. She wasn't expecting anyone to be around, so she had worn a white tang-top and shorts, since the weather was so nice. The white shirt wasn't wanted at the moment, however. Bee had forgotten that white was almost see-through in water. She immediatly took out her wand and muttered an incantation that would make her shirt dry the whole time even if it was under water. She did the same with her shorts and then looked at the person who had been rude. It was Jack, who was wearing a smile and his blue eyes shining brilliantly. Bee could always tell by Jack's eyes how he was feeling. Right now, he looked thrilled, but for what reason, Bee didn't know.
"That was quite kind of you to do that to me, Rendel," Bee said hotly, as she gave him a glare. "I'm afraid I didn't appreciate it much though." She grinned and then tackled Jack and yanked his head under water. "How do you like it now?!" She hollered to no one in particular.

Jack grinned foolishly at Bee as she surfaced. "Sorry, I just couldn't control myself!" Jack told her, his eyes sparkling. He was going to add something else, but he found he couldn't breath. Bee had taken vengeance. He closed his mouth and held his breath until Bee gave him some slack so he could come above the water. Jack grinned again.
"I don't like it now!" He told her. He didn't feel like letting this go on all day. It would get boring. So, he thought of something else they could do.
"Race you to the beach!" Jack yelled and started swimming towards land.

Bee smiled as Jack surfaced. Revenge is so sweet, she thought, even though Jack thought it was funny. Then he said he would race her to the beach and he got a head-start. He probably knew Bee could beat him. She started swiming, faster and faster; she had caught up to Jack; she was passing him; she was on the beach. She jumped out of the water and onto land, or crawled more like it. She was breathing heavy but had a triumphant grin on her face. She had won.
"How does it feel to be a loser?" Bee asked with mild curiousity. She had a teasing grin on and her green eyes were very bright.

Jack couldn't swim very fast, but he thought he had a chance against her since he had started first. He proved wrong and Bee won. She was out of breath, yet she still had breath to ask Jack a rather rude question. Jack saw that Bee was just teasing, so he didn't say anything horrible back to her.
"What, you never have lost before?" Jack growled as he tackled Bee on the sand. He was laughing when he noticed that he was sitting on top of Bee, whose face was in the sand. He stopped laughing and jumped off of her.
"You alright?" He asked with mild concern.

Bee was suddenly forced into the sand. It got in her eyes and her mouth, which was not pleasent at all. She couldn't breath until Jack got off of her, which seemed to take forever.
"That wasn't funny!" Bee sputtered. "That was unfair! I should put your head in the sand!" But she didn't. She just sat there, trying to blink the sand out of her eyes.
"This could blind me, you know!" Bee said while spitting the sand out of her mouth. "It doesn't taste very good either!" She smiled and then looked at him.
"Do you know a spell that could get the sand out of my eyes? 'Cause if you do, please, go right ahead and do it!"

Jack laughed as Bee struggled to rid the sand off her face and out of her mouth.
"Why don't you go stick your head in the water?! That could clear it!" Jack said between snickers. The thought about a spell made Jack think. Was there a spell. He thought of one that might just work.
"Alright, open your eyes then," He told her, and then once she did, waved his wand and uttered an incantation. "There, no more sand, no more worries."

Bee smiled at Jack. He was the smarter one. He said something and the sand left Bee's eyes. She felt much better. She looked around. No one was there. It was just her and Jack, laying on the beach. Bee suddenly was hit with a new emotion. Uneasiness. It seemed very strange that her and Jack were just laying on the beach together. It seemed very strange. Almost scary. What if this day got even weirder? After all, it was just her and Jack. Bee's brain seemed to be put in fast forward. What would happen if someone say them together? What would they think? Bee looked at Jack and then looked around just to make sure no one was hiding behind the trees. She sighed and seeing no one, turned her attention to Jack. Her attention must have caught his, and for a moment, their eyes met. Bee felt an even stranger emotion rise up in her chest that she had never felt before. Mostly for Jack. She didn't want to give in to this strange feeling and she was glad that she could tear her eyes away from his gaze. She felt as if she was being examened, she felt bare. She quickly looked around for a change of subject. Finding none, she sat there looking at the ground, not sure what to say. Or if she could even trust her voice to say something that wouldn't let her true emotions out.
