Luna sat near the Hogwarts lake reading the newest edition of the Quibbler quietly. They had some very fascinating new facts about Crumple-Horned Snorlacks. Really very-very intriguing. With proof like these how could people still be so blind and not see how very real the animals were? At least people seemed to become a whole lot more interested on them. Why, only last year the Quibbler had to be reprinted, because people showed so much interest in the topic. Harry’s article had been in the same copy that had to be reprinted as Luna hazily recalled.
Waving away a lone fly circling towards her, Luna absent-mindedly stirred her tall glass of water with a cocktail onion on a stick. A huge yellow hat with flowers made of string covered her hair from the blazing sun and shadowed her eyes enough to allow Luna read without any problems because of the sun. Some Slytherins had called the hat a ‘hideous yellow tent’ before, but Luna didn’t really understand where that statement came from. The hat was absolutely adorable in her opinion. Practical and pretty and the neon-yellow colour draw admiring eyes. Some Slytherins just didn’t have any sense of fashion, as the hat looked perfect with Luna’s yellow slippers and yellow chick-sweater and her uniform skirt under her school-cloak.
Lowering her eyes to the magazine once again, Luna continued reading the article, when someone cleared their throat behind her rather loudly.

It was weeks since his last dream, since the last time his scar throbbed when he awoke. Even though he often traced it wit his fingers early in the morning when he was still in bed, he felt nothing, and that worried him. He wanted to bring it up to Ron, but he knew Ron would just call him a nutter and to be happy that maybe things were starting to be normal. Even Hermione would have some logical answer about how he shouldn't be conderned when he doesn't dream. Its when he does that he has something to worry about. Maybe that was the reason that he currently didn't want to talk to either of them.
He decided to escape the castle by walking out to the lake. It was a nice day, but he knew that it wouldn't be too crowded there, and he wanted time to think. As he neared the lake he saw the brightest yellow...something, he had ever seen. It wasn't until he got closer that he realized it was a hat. He didn't need to be any closer thought to know ho it belonged to. There was only one student in all of Hogwarts who would wear a hat even more yellow that the Hufflepuff Quidditch robes, and that was Luna.
He hadn't really spoken to the Ravenclaw since there adventures together the year before. She was defiantly one of a kind, but maybe talking to her now wouldn't be that much of a bad thing. Somewhere in the middle of all he nonsense, she seemed to have some strange form of logic. He walked up so that he stood just behind her and he cleared his throat to get her attention before finally spoke. "Hi Luna."
((I talked to you and Ron about getting into this post to, and I am just now getting around to it!))

Turning her head slowly as the string-flowers swung in front of her eyes Luna looked at Harry. They had had quite the adventure the previous year but hadn’t really been able to talk during this one. Even though Luna naturally knew about the kidnappings and how they both influenced Harry. “Hello, Harry. Care for an onion?” Luna said hazily, still a bit captivated by the article she had been reading, but she raised the cocktail onion on stick towards Harry none the less, “Vampires won’t be coming out until sun-down, but it is best to be prepared.”<br> Luna folded her copy of he quibbler together and turned it upside down again while smiling up at Harry once again: “Don’t worry about taking the onion. I have more.”<br> ((Yes, I remember. Glad to see you finally made it))

Even after a year had passed, Luna was exactly the same. She was still reading the Quibbler, though he expected that to be a life long hobby, but more importantly, she was still believing it. She still acting as this was all a game and her biggest concern was which made up creature was going to attack next. “Ah…no thank you…maybe later. Sun-down is still a ways away.”<br>He had a feeling there would be no Vampire attacks while there were at Hogwarts, and besides, he never liked onions much. He just smiled back at her, trying not to think of her as Loony Luna. She really did mean well, and she had a surprisingly vast amount of knowledge, even if a great deal of it was about made up creatures.
He stood in silence for a moment, shifting his weight from one foot to the other and wondering why he had come down here in the first place. What was he going to talk to Luna about? There only real connection was what had happened last year and he didn’t exactly wish to relive that experience.
“So, do you mind if I sit?”

Luna looked at Harry hazily and just a little worriedly as he refused the onion. He still didn’t seem to believe in the very real threat of Snorgles and Crumple-Horned Snorlacks and other creatures. And he didn’t even took use of preparations to prepare against the chance of vampires storming the castle. Then again – Harry had managed to survive with a lot luck so far, so maybe his luck would last. Putting the onion on stick back into the glass of water Luna stirred the clear water slowly.
“Of course, take a seat,” Luna bobbed her head making the string-flowers around bounce around, “I was glad to hear Ginny is back. I’m sure everything will go good with Julie as well.” Luna said calmly – certainly these things happening to his friends must be bothering Harry a lot. Raising her hand and tucking her wand to it’s place so it stayed behind her ear a little more securely, as it had wavered a bit threateningly as Luna had nodded, Luna let the flowers swing slightly in front of her face.

He eased himself onto the ground beside her, letting his head fall back as she stretched his legs out in front of him and signed deeply. It wasn’t that he was really tired, or really frustrated, or really anything. It was just all wearing down on him. No signs from Voldermort, no message from Julie, and with no messages or signs, there was nothing no one to talk to. After all, he couldn’t bloody well talk to people after nothing. When Luna spoke again, he glanced over at her, wondering how she did that. Just casually pointed out exactly what was bothering him as if it were ordinary conversation just like asking about the weather. The first time she had done it was the year before with the Thestrals. Maybe she did it with everyone, not just him, and he had just never really made friends so he didn’t know. He wasn’t sure if he was glad of it, or if it annoyed him, but just like that his concerns were out in the open.
“Things aren’t well with Julie” he half said, half blurted out before he really realized what he was doing. “I don’t even know where she is.” At least he knew he didn’t have to worry about her thinking he was crazy for his outburst in class. Luna always called his actions ‘sane.’

Luna smiled hazily as Harry sat down and blurted out his opinion about all the things going on in Hogwarts. “Everything turned out well concerning Ginny and Julie will be alright too. Things always turn out. Like my quill did at the beginning of winter break. I actually found it tucked inside my pillow.”<br>Luna smiled hazily at Harry – finding her quill had been a rather shocking experience. Especially since she had thought she had left the quill at home. Luna had casted a lot of charms on it to discover any signs of curses or dark forces at game. Those Trappudders could be rather sneaky.
Blinking Luna returned a hazy smile to Harry while stirring the water in the tall cocktail glass with the onion on stick: “Things always work out.”<br>

A confused expression crossed his face as she tried to relate the disappearance of Ginny and Julie to her loosing her quill. He wanted to tell her they didn’t relate, that a quill could be replaced, it was just a quill, that Julie was still missing and she couldn’t be replaced, but the time he had opened his mouth to talk she had said that things always work out. She was trying to make him feel better and all he wanted to do was express his frustration. He forced himself to take a breath, his temper seemed to come too easy these days. He blew up at Ron the other day over a talk about Quidditch, he couldn’t do the same thing to Luna when she was trying to help.
“I need to save her, Luna, but how can I do that when I don’t know where she is? I should have heard from her by now.” He set his face stubbornly and looked away from Luna and out across the lake. “ If Voldermort hurt her…I’ll kill him.”

Luna just blinked at Harry’s words. He was correct more often than not and should he really go on a hunt after Voldermot and his Death Eaters Luna would follow amongst the members of DA just as she had the previous year. Yet, a good general knew the price of victory. “Wit beyond measure is a man’s greatest treasure,” Luna stated staring at Harry blinking slowly and then maintaining her level look blinking a lot fewer times than any other human would, “Wheel waves as the wheel wills and all will come in it’s own time. Not sooner, not later. You just have to stop being wool-headed so you would be around when they do actually come.”<br> Luna blinked slowly thinking of her words – fate was a little by a wheel. It rolled on, crushing some, letting others ride high on it, while others just hung on, going where they were pushed. Maybe Harry was something like an obstacle in the wheels way, the wheel had to pass before continuing the circle of life. Watching as some bird screeched before disappearing into the sea-weed growing around the lake Luna pointed towards it. “See that? Such behavior means that there are Warudders near by and I would really like to see one. My father would love a picture. Yellow is calling it closer, but I am not sure who close it shall come,” Luna stated with the dottiness that always seemed to surround her returning full force.

He watched Luna as she answered, trying to make sense of her words. She never made any sense. She just talked, and it was as if there was a purpose, but it just never made sense. There never was any knowing what you were going to get with Luna, anything could come out with her odd wealth of knowledge. Sometimes it was some strange fact on an imaginary creature, and apparently she also knew rather useless proverbs too. He set his jaw against her words and looked back out across the lake.
“I can’t sit and wait Luna, I have to do something. We have to do something. The moment I know where she is. I am going to get her, whether I have help or not.”<br> He let out a deep sigh, glancing back at her, thinking maybe it was best to change the topic to whatever a Warudder was. He didn’t exactly believe in it, but then, maybe he should learn to give Luna the benefit of the doubt. She had been right about a lot of things in the past. “So…um, Warudders like yellow?”

Insolent little brat! Pansy was steaming mad. She had been in the Great Hall when some little kid had knocked pumpkin juice all over her robes! It had easily been cleaned up, but it was simply the principle of it! As Pansy reached for her wand the little brat had made a mad dash outside the enormous doors of the castle, with Pansy in hot pursuit.
In her chase, she met Millicent coming into the castle and quickly acquired her assistance in tracking down the little brat. As they spread out, Pansy walked towards the lake, her eyes scanning the mass of students lounging about for signs of the little Hufflepuff. Her walk about the lake soon however uncovered something more entertaining, Pottuh! He was with that Loony Luna girl and they were deeply immersed in a conversation. Turning to where Millicent was, Pansy waved her on over as she approached the pair. "POTTUH! Enjoying this fine day with your girlfriend I see? MY, my, my, what will Granger think?" She said with a sneer as she crossed her arms and continued to walk towards the pair.

It was a rather fine day as Millicent came through the doors of the Entrance Hall. She was feeling rather happy as well as lethargic when some little kid nearly bowled himself over running into her. She glared at him as he looked up fearful then behind him and ran off once more. The reason for his haste made itself known soon as Pansy came around in hot pursuit and got Millicent to help her find the little brat. They were tracking him down outside when Millie noticed Pansy’s attention shift. She was apparently interested in two people by the lake, one who Millie couldn’t make out and the other a Hufflepuff maybe considering all Millicent could see was a blob of yellow?
Slowly Millicent followed Pansy over, the figures becoming more and more clear as Millie approached. It seemed like The Boy Who Would Not Die and that Loony Luna girl were having a friendly little chat by the lake; how romantic. Millicent chuckled at Pansy’s words as she came to a stop slightly behind, slightly to the left of her but said nothing.

Luna smiled brightly at Harry as he asked about Warudders. Warudders were nice little creatures and very shy, but they could still cause harm if you didn’t know about them. At least Harry tried to learn. Maybe Warudders would save his life one day that way. “Warudders adore yellow. And daisies and cheese and onions,” Laura said with a hazy smile pointing towards the yellow ribbon flowers hanging from her hat and then raised the toothpick with the onion on it. Luna also had some cheese on a rock next to her that she pointed out to Harry, “They are shy, so we better not try to scare them away.”
Luna glanced up between the swinging flowers as someone spoke to Harry. Pansy and Millicent. As Slytherins they wouldn’t probably like Harry and Luna expected that the feeling would be mutual. Luna’s eyes flashed as she recalled that these girls had made fun of the Quibbler and taken it away from one of her younger and more lightened school-mates. A moment later Luna beamed and raised her high cocktail-glass towards them and raised the onion on stick: “An onion? I only have one, but you can share. And you should be wearing yellow to attract the Warudders. Seeing one could very well be the moment of our lives!” Luna added with a smile covering her smile as she moved her head energetically to accent her words making the bright-yellow string-flowers jump with every word she said.

A blank expression came over Pansy's face as Loony Luna first offered them a disgustingly ripe onion, then proceeded to talk about Warungers? Or something to that effect. "Get that disgusting onion out of my face!" Pansy shrieked as she removed her wand, and hit the onion with a quick spell that sent it tumbling off the stick and crashing into a nearby tree where it split open into half a dozen chunks. "What the bloody hell is wrong with you!? Offering an onion!? What kind of an idiot offers someone an onion!? No wonder you don't have any real friends." Pansy made it a point to say the last part slowly and glare at Potter the whole time.
Returning her attention to Luna, Pansy continued with her condescending tone, "and just what the bloody hell is a warundungerler? Are they your little imaginary friends? I bet they just love you, god no wonder Pottuh likes you, you're just as weird as all his other looser friends. Although I must compliment you Pottuh, at least you're going in the right direction by dumping that mudblood Granger." Pansy then eyed Potter and waited for a reaction while she held her wand at the ready by her side.

Just what he needed, Pansy Parkinson. His temper had been so quick these days and a Slytherin was not exactly going to help it. Ron had always been the one to jump to conclusions and grab his wand with out thinking, but all this stress, and Julie still missing, he could barley think straight, let along keep his head about things.
He bit his tongue at when Pansy first spoke, glancing over at her before looking back at Luna. He had too much on his mind. He couldn't waste his energy on Pansy, even if she was Pansy. It was Luna who responded, being, as she always was, totally and completely Luna. Nothing seemed to bother her, and he wondered for a moment how she did it. Then Pansy did it again, and before he could stop himself he had pushed himself up from the ground.
"There is nothing wrong with Luna or Hermione!"

Luna stared at the pieces of onion that Pansy had created. She had needed that onion to draw Warrudders closer. But then again, now there were more pieces – maybe more of them would come? “That was good thinking. Now that the onion is in pieces it will create more smell that will attract Warrudders,” Luna said with a hazy smile towards Pansy, “There is a bigger chance of them coming now. Obviously you know some things about Warrudders – don’t be afraid of the knowledge.”
Just then Harry jumped up yelling on top of his lungs about how nothing was wrong about her and Hermione. Luna blinked at her and patted his arm: “Now, calm down. Warrudders don’t like too much noise. You don’t want to scare them away, do you?” Luna smiled at everyone. There was obvious tension between Pansy and Harry. Then again – when wasn’t there tension between a Gryffindor and a Slytherin? And Harry had been through a lot lately with Julia being kidnapped. Starting to hum quietly Luna just sat back and observed the scene. Hopefully the Warrudders wouldn’t be scared too far away.
