The Midnight Meeting (Plot people)

It was nearing midnight on a clear tuesday night. Cedric wood sat in his dorm staing at the clock. Once the clock hand hit 11:55 Cedric stood up out of his bed. Coming out from under his covers Cedric was fully clothed with a black cloak covering him. Looking around the only thing awake was Fuego the Phoenix. "Shhh." Cedric said as the bird opened it's mouth. Cedric grabbed an envolope that was sitting on his dresser and shoved it in his pocket. Quietly opening the door Cedric walked slowly down the stairs into the common room.

Walking into the common room the only other movement besides him was the flickering of the fire. Cedric quickly walked out of the common room Cedric walked into the corridors. Trying to stay in the shadows Cedric moved as quick as he could staying quiet until he reached the oak doors and walked out onto the dark lawn.

Now that Cedric was outside he could slow down as he walked towards the Dark forest. Cedric had arranged a meeting of three of the chosen memebers. He had told them to bring him Caiest Raven. They were going to meet and Cedric was going to get something he wanted from her. Walking to the forest Cedric turned his head to see if anyone was following him. As he entered the forest he got to the spot they were to meet. Pulling out his wand Cedric waved it and a desk and a chair appears. Sitting in the chair he faced away from the desk and thought about what he was about to do waiting for the memebers to arrive.

Pyro lay in his bed. He looked over and saw the clock and noticed it was time. He slipped out of bed, fully clothed. Reaching under his bed he pulled out a black cloak and put it on. He walked out of the dorm and into the common room, he slipped the hood over his head before he exited the room and went into the halls. He moved down the hall, keeping easily in the shadow. He was an expert at this. Slipping in and out of the shadows, becoming nothing more than a shadow himself.

Tonight, the Chosen had business to do. Cedric and told him to bring Caiest Raven. Pyro had met her before, had even sparred with her. He had sent her a owl telling her to meet him in a deserted classroom. He had just found the designated meeting place and slipped into the classroom. He moved to a corner of the room and slipped into the shadows, becoming invisible in the dark. He awaited Caiests arrival.

The music pulsed through Kori's ears as she stepped into beat with the rhythm. For a Muggle song, it was pretty good. She enjoyed dancing to the steady beats of 'They.' The bass was very noticable and easy to catch onto. Plus; the lyrics let a bit of a mysterious waff out and surround others. Who are they? What are they? How can they know all this? Because, we know... Kori thought as she concluded the dance step. She slipped into a swift twirl, and then stopped; out of breath.

"Who made up all the rules
We follow them like fools
Believe them to be true
Don't care to think them through," Kori breathed in deeply, and walked over to her dance bag. She looked at the clock quickly, 11:45. She had about 15 minutes until the meeting, what should she do until then? Kori took out her hair clip,and dragged a brush through her blonde hair, letting the curls bounce at the tug. They were very bouncey, and she enjoyed the ringlets she had. She quickly changed into faded blue jeans, and a shirt that sparkled with green. She changed from her toe shoes to her black gym shoes. Kori looked shorter than she really was. She hated that. Though it could help with her sneaking out tonight.

"And I'm sorry so sorry

I'm sorry we do this," She glanced at the clock again, 11:55. She should start heading out. Kori flicked her wand, and the music immediately ceased. Though, she still carried the tune in her head. Kori grabbed her cloak that was hanging on a peg on the wall. The deep green velvet cloak kept her warm, and it was stylish at that. Something Kori always looked for. She waved her wand again, and the lights were extinguished. She pulled the hood on over her blonde curls, and left the classroom she used as a dance room.

Her eyes watched as she walked down the long and lone corridors, her shadow cast on the walls. Kori moved her glance to the doors at the end of her walk. The great double doors that were a prism of color. The four colors of Hogwarts, cast on the wooden surface. Somehow showing up perfectly. Kori sighed as she walkd closer, she placed her hands on the wood and pushed. Opening the doors without a noise. The unexpected wind brushed back her hood and cloak. She continued to walk to the Forbidden Forest.

Kori finally came to the edge of the forest, she took a deep breath and entered it. Wondering what Cedric was planning to do with Caiest. She actually, thought it better if she didn't know in advance, afraid of backing out. She made her way to the meeting spot, seeing Cedric already there. There was a desk and chair there also, Kori raised her eyebrow at this; "Planning on teaching her something?" She asked in greeting.

Lydia crushed the new robe to her body. Her mother was really trying to spoil her. A green and black silk robe had arrived by owl post that morning. She draped it around her shoulders and let it cascade to the floor. She placed a pair of Mary Janes on her feet and padded out of her dormitory. Hoping to meet Kori, she decided not to wait and headed to the forest.

Walking through the wet grass, she made to the outside of the forest. She waived to Cedric and Kori as she approached. " I think we are going to do more than teach her a lesson." She said rather smuggly.

Caiest put her book down and sighed. It was close to time. She had recieved an owl earlier that day from Pyro a Slytherin she had sparred with once. He told her to meet him in a deserted classroom. She had seriously considered not going just ignoring the owl completely. Generally going to a deserted classroom in the middle of the night to meet a person that you'd only met once was a bad idea but curiosity had won over. She wanted to know what was so important that it had to be done in secret.

She grabbed her jacket and put her wand in the waistband of her jeans before leaving. Careful to keep quiet and mostly to the shadows Caiest made her way to the deserted classroom where she was supposed to meet Pyro. Once in the classroom she looked around and didn't see him anywhere. She sighed she'd give him five minutes then she was gone.

Pyro only had to wait in the classroom for a few minuets. Caiest soon made an appearance. She looked about the room and didnt notice him. So she stood and waited. He smiled as he slipped out of the shadows and moved silently up behind her. He reached around her with one hand and gently placed it over her mouth, just in case she screamed in surprise. He brought his mouth close to her ear. "Shh.." He whispered. "Its me Pyro. Follow me and try not to be spotted."

He let go and took a step away from her, he motioned his head towards the door and moved over to it and slipped into the hall. He made his way down the hall, he would stop and see if Caiest was keeping up. Finally they reached the doors and exited out into the courtyard. He began to move towards the forrest, moving from shadow to shadow, now that they were clearly in the moonlight they might be spotted.

Finally they reached the Dark forest and Pyro lead them into it. They walked through the bushes and branches and soon came to the clearing that Cedric had mentioned. Pyro steped into the clearing and pulled off the hood of his cloak. He noticed Kori, Lydia, and Cedric already there. Pyro grined at them. "Here she is." He took a step to the side to allow Caiest to step foreward.

Shortly after Caiest had arrived in the classroom someone stepped out of the shadows and placed their hand around her mouth. Her immediate reaction was to attack. She brought her arm forward slightly and was about to jab them hard in the stomach with her elbow but luckily they spoke before she could do so. It was only Pyro he told her to be quiet follow him and don't get seen before he let go. "Fine but don't you ever do that again." She said and followed him out of the classroom.

She followed him out of the classroom and out of the castle careful to keep to the shadows just like he was. She wanted to ask where they were going but soon found out as he entered the Forbidden Forest. Caiest hesitated a bit she didn't want to go into the Forbidden Forest because it was well Forbidden but at the same time if she left now Pyro would think she was a coward. Plus the curiousity was killing her. Taking a deep breath Caiest followed him in.

After walking a few yards in they reached a clearing where there were three other people waiting two girls and a boy. Pyro said here she is and stepped to the side so Caiest stepped forward a bit. "Yeah here I am now would anyone like to inform me why the hell I'm here?" she asked voice surprisingly calm.

Sitting there Cedric heard someone coming but didn't look behind him. When he heard Kori Talk Cedric grinned. Just as he was about to respond he heard Lydia do it for him. "Yeah she will learn more than a lesson tonight Kori." Cedric said smilling into the darkness. Looking at his watch he said "Pyro should be here by now." Jut then he head Pyro speak. "Good job Pyro." Cedric said. Then he head the voice he was hoping to hear. Caiest spoke and Cedric turned around to face the group. Cedric smiled evily and said "I will inform you when I please. Now lower your voice and sit down." Cedric waved his wand and another chair appeared in front of the desk.

Looking cooly at Caiest Cedric said "I assure you this will be worth your time." Pulling the envolope out of his pocket Cedric tossed it onto the tabel infront of Caiest and said "Open it."

"I will inform you when I please. Now lower your voice and sit down." said a boy turning around. Apparently he was the leader of this group as everyone seemed to look to. Caiest wasn't impressed. No she was very unimpressed. Not to mention angry. It was so obvious now it was a trap for he told Pyro good job. She didn't let any of her emotions show however she wasn't going to give them anything. "Who died and made you God?" She asked in a bored tone and examined her fingernails. "As for sitting I'd much rather stay standing that is if it's all right with you."

The leader said something about the meeting being worth her time as he pulled an envelope out of his pocket and tossed it on the table. For a moment Caiest just looked at it. Who were these people and what did they want. Grudgingly Caiest picked up the envelope. "And what pre tell is this?"

When Caiest moved up Pyro back and headed back to where he and Caiest had entered. He leaned casually against a tree and watched as Caiest began to give a attitude to Cedric. He chuckled softly to himself. He didn’t know what Caiest was trying to prove, not like she could do much in this situation. Cedric, Kori, and Lydia were all 5th years, Caiest wouldn’t be able to take on three 5th years in a magical duel, and if she decided to get physical, Pyro had already proven he could take her in a one on one fight.

“Caiest, all will be clear as soon as you open it. So stop being difficult and just sit and open it and listen to Cedric.” He replied casually from his spot in the clearing.

Caiest rolled her eyes when Pyro spoke. He was probably very pleased with himself getting her to come here. He told her to stop being difficult and to sit down. He was right she was being difficult but she was never one to follow orders especially by people who would gang up on one girl. Talk about an unfair fight. She was no match for them magically It would be a four to one duel and she would definately be hurt before she could get in one shot. Physically she wasn't a match for four people. Pyro had won against her the one time they had sparred. She could probably win against him now as she had done more training since then but not against three others.

Caiest didn't acknowledge that Pyro had spoken as she was extremely pissed at him more then anyone. Instead she stayed standing. She did however open the envelope. She looked at the contents in mild shock. "What is this about?"

Kori was quiet through this whole thing. Not really needing to say anything or do anything, figured Cedric and Pyro were okay with the handling. Caiest wasn't cooperating at first, and this pissed Kori off a bit, but then Pyro told her to sit down and to coooperate and not surprisingly she didn't listen. Kori smiled dryly and crossed her arms, waiting for the next step.The envelope was opened, and by the look on Caiest's face, she wasn't expecting what was in the envelope at all. In fact, Kori had no clue what was in the envelope.

She turned her head to look at Cedric, secretly wondering what this was all about as well. Kori felt no place in this meeting, felt like she wasn't needed here, but she stayed none the less. She stayed and watched it play out. Wondering how this would end up. Not really caring for the fact that this could end up really bad. Even though Lydia, Cedric, and herself could take Caiest down magically, Kori was in no mood to duel at the moment.

Cedric sat cooly looking at Caiest as they continued to talk. When she refused to sit Cedric was angered. When Pyro told her to calm down and she still refused Cedric pulled out his wand and waved it. The chair dissapeared and Cedric said "Well she is our guest now Pyro. If she wan'ts to stand let her stand." Cedric smiled evily and watched as Caiest reached down and opened the envolope. The look of confusion was enough for Cedric to know he was getting her where he wanted her to be.

"Those are pictures of you." Cedric said to Caiest. "The other pictures are of your golem in class for you." Cedric smiled as he said this. "Are you starting to get the picture?" Cedric asked evily. "Now your parents do alot of work with magical items do they not?" Cedric asked. Already knowing the answer to the question he continued. "Now I want something your parents have. I am willing to get rid of these pictures and forget about it all if you get it for me. If you don't then they might just land on Dumbledores desk." Cedric said smirking. "Do you know whats going on now?"

Caiest looked completely and uterly shocked. They were blackmailing her all four of them. The fact that they would blackmail her didn't surprise her in the least they were all filty Slytherins. What they had on her however surprised her to no end. How in the hell had they gotten those pictures? No an even more puzzling question was how did they know that her Golem had gone to class for her. They looked completley similar so you'd have to know what to look for in order to tell. How had they even known that she had a Golem at all was the most puzzling question. Only three people besides herself knew she had a Golem and none of those people were the ones standing here tonight. They must have told. That was the only explanation. She knew there was a reason that she hated people they were all backstabbers. There was nothing like getting blackmailed to remind her of it.

She looked angrily at Cedric. "Blackmail is against the law you know. And anyway what could my parents possibly possess that is of any interest to you?" She asked still clutching the pictures. She was thinking of taking out her wand and setting fire to them.

Cedric sat and listened to Caiest as she talked. She seemed really angry. Pulling out his wand Cedric said "Accio Envolope." The envolope flew into his hands. "I think I will hold on to these until we have a transaction." Smiling Cedric stood up and with a wave of his wand the desk and chair disapeared. "Well I am aware that blackmail is against the law, but seeing as if you tell on me for blackmail I tell on you and get you expelled so as they say if Im going down your coming with me." Cedric walked over closer to Caiest and said "And your parents have many things of value but there is one thing in particular I want." Cedric stopped walking and looked at Caiest in they eyes. "They have a book full of illegal spells. I want it." Cedric said "And I want you to get it for me."

Caiest tried to keep hold of the envelope as Cedric Accio'd it but it didn't work the envelope flew out of her hands and into Cedrics. There went her only chance of destroying the evidence. Cedric made the chair and desk disappear as he began telling her that if he went down she was going down too. Going down meant that she'd get expelled. She'd have to go back and live with her parents. That was simply out of the question. There was no way in hell she was going to live with them. She would simply have to do what Cedric asked. Of course she'd fight it every step of the way she wasn't going to let him know that he had won.

Caiest crossed her arms. "And how pray tell do you expect me to get it from them? Owl them in Russia and say hey Mum, dad I need a book full of illegal spells could you send it to me? Or better yet should I say I did a bad bad thing and am getting blackmailed could you send me this book full of illegal spells so that the evidence magically disappears? And assuming I do get this book of yours what about these three idiots are they just standing around for kicks or do they get something out of this. Plus how do I know that you won't go turn around and turn me in anyway after you've gotten what you want?" She asked staring angrily at Cedric and the others.

Kori wasn't paying much attention, not until Caiest ended up calling her an idiot. Her green eyes flickered to the little Ravenclaw. Her lips set in a pursed angry stance. She uncrossed her arms, and with one swift movement of her leg, Caiest was sent flying against a tree, Kori's heels pinning her to the tree. Her balance perfect because, of dancing, "Think twice about insulting me. I could break every single bone in your body with one word." Kori's heel of her boot was digging into the tree, but she wouldn't let up.

"You will get that book of spells. If you don't. Hell happens." Kori threatened. She dropped her leg, straightened her shirt, and smiled as if nothing had happened. She waited Caiest's move. If the girl started something, Kori would live with it. Even if Caiest knew some good martial art kind of moves, Kori healed fast, and when she healed...Caiest better run.

[Caiest Hamilton S5]

The only person in this gang of Slytherins who knew any form of Martial Arts was Pyro. So she wasn't expecting it or even prepared for it when Kori kicked her against a tree and had her pinned there. Apparently the girl didn't appreciate being called an idiot. Well that was tough stuff there was no way in hell Caiest was going to apologize for what she had said. She called em as she saw em. She didn't say anything at all in fact she figured silence was the best option as of right now. At least while she was pinned against a tree.

Kori told her she'd get the book or else then let up. Caiest had half a mind to start something. She was sure she could take this girl in a physical fight but then again if she started something with Kori the others would probably jump in and that would be a stupid foolish thing to do and Caiest was neither of those things. Although getting caught with the Golem could be classified as stupid but how was she to know that someone other then Dana and Kris knew about the Golem. "Fine fine I'll get the book now if you'll excuse me I've got things to do." Caiest said straightening her shirt and started to walk out of the clearing.

Cedric watched as the things happened very fast. "Good." Cedric said as Caiest said she would get the book. As she walked away Cedric looked at the group and said "Good job guys. Now go back to the dorms." Cedric put up his hood and walked alone back to his dorm.
