Lighting crashed across the sky lighting it and Dana shot up in her bed. As thunder crashed loudly, Dana’s face turned into a broad grin and she almost had to force herself to not yell out loudly of joy. Thunder meant rain and Dana absolutely adored the rain. And today was the official beginning of spring according to a calendar.
Dana practically jumped out of bed and grabbed the top clothes from her trunk, which ended up being an ankle-length black skirt with red roses on it and a black tight top.
Grabbing a pair of slip-on stiletto heels Dana sneaked out of the dormitory so to not wake her room-mates, who might not be as excited over a spring-storm as Dana was.
Stepping into her heels in the common room, Dana jogged out of the common room and ran down the stairs, moving surprisingly quickly with the heels that were magically enchanted to not let the wearer slip or fall. Casting a couple of heating-charms over her body on the go, Dana rushed out of the castle doors and let out a laugh of pure joy as the pouring rain washed over her as Dana smiled at the knee-high mist swirling on ground. Enjoying the warm sensation over her Dana closed her eyes and leaning her head back walked further away from the castle. Dana had never been afraid of thunder and lightening – not even as a kid. She had rather been awed by the power of nature and always ran outside at rain.
Spreading her arms out, Dana twirled and just danced in the falling rain – in a way it was a greeting of spring, some of it a feeling of relaxation, in a way it showed respect to the forces of nature as Dana just danced, not caring about the steps nor even thinking of them – just letting her body move to what was right. Thanks to dancing-lessons and years of practice Dana didn’t slip nor miss a step though, even though her clothes were already soaked and her loose hair plastered to her face and neck. She just felt free and without worries. Opening her eyes Dana saw her reflection from the lake and smiled – even though she was wet, the mist and moon and the shining stars, as well as the pouring rain gave her a bit of magical outlook – maybe a bit of gypsy-like? But it suited Dana, even though this night would have made anyone look like a fantasy-princess. Letting almost childishly care-free laughter escape her lips once again, Dana closed her eyes and twirled once again enjoying the feeling of just existing.
