Kari gripped her cloak tighter around her. A disillusionment charm had been placed on her, and she was hoping no one saw her. She walked farther towards the lake, then saw that the ice had cracked in several places. The water rippled out as droplets of snow hit the water. Of course, this wasn't why she was out here. She was on her way to the Forest. She knew it was forbidden, but no one would see her under the disillusionment charm. It would be impossible. Kari turned away from the lake and ran into the forest.
The dark trees loomed over top of her. She felt the gloom and depressing scenario, but then she heard a silent mewing. It was coming from a tree trunk, over ot her right. She dashed over and dug through a pile of weeds. There, in a hollow near the roots of the tree, was a mother cat and three little kittens. She picked them up and huddled them close to her. She felt the disillusionment charm lifting, a trickle of warmth running down her back. She gasped as she heard a twig crack behind her.

Katrina crept slowly towards the forbidden forest, hoping noone could see her. She was choosing her steps very carefuly, but it was so dark she couldnt see in front of her. She had thought about using a wand, but the light would be easy to see in the dark.
She walked and walked, hoping to get into the forest so she could use a wand. But suddenly, she steped on a twig and heard it crack. She stopped walking and listened in the night. She heard somone gasped.
It was her turn to gasp. Is there a teacher here? Am I in trouble? she thought to herself.
Without thinking, she hid behind a tree and watched. She could see in front of her. She gasped at what she saw.
"Is that a teacher or a student?" she muttered.
