Aislinn pushed a few strands of her light blonde hair out of her face only to have it return with a little help from the soft wind. Scrunching up her nose, she noted that the weather was rather chilly but at least the wind wasn't raging. She glanced towards the lake and took in the majestic beauty of the highlands reflected upon the almost mirror like surface. Drawing in a slow breath, she approached a large tree that seemed to be rather far away from any of the Slytherins dotting the grounds. The last thing she wanted was to have a confrontation and ruin the lovely day she was having; though she wasn't sure why it was such a wonderfu day.
Her eyes darted about until they landed onto a Gryffindor, a third year just as herself, who she had been in Transfiguration with. The girl had wonderfully curled brown hair and eyes to match, Aislinn felt a sting of jealousy - it seemed as though whenever she saw her, she was always perfect; her hair always neatly curled, her uniform assembled with perfection - almost to a fault. Sighing at the thought, she shook her head slightly as to try to pushed aside the jealousy but still she couldn't help but wished that she could always look that perfect.

Keirra carelessly bounded across the grounds, adorned in black track pants with a red top and runners, taking in the wonderful outside air. Running had always been a way for her to cleanse her mind and focus a great deal more on her studies, so she ran across the grounds almsot every day. As her feet pounded against the crunching grass, her thoughts slowly dissolved into an odd sense of nothingness. Her eyes were intensely focused but not on any one object, nor did she seem to her any of th voices of the Slytherins she darted past. However, when her eyes landed on the fair-haired Hufflepuff who was her partner in Transfiguration that morning, the image of a waddling quill came to mind. She slowed until she came to a stop right in front of the Hufflepuff and smile while quickly gathering up her thick hair into a ponytail at the crown of her head.
"Hi, enjoying the beauty that nature has so kindly given us today?" Her voice indicated a slight hint of sarcasm but without waiting for an answer, she continued, "I forgot to introduce myself this morning and I feel rather silly about it. My name's Keirra."

"Aislinn," she replied a little startled by the girl's approach, but didn't mind at all seeing as how she hadn't many friends and this girl seemed to want to befriend her. Nervously, she brushed an invisible bunch of her hair behind her ear and glance towards the lake awkwardly. She had thought the girl's attempt at tranfiguring the canary into a quill was a bit substandard but humourous all the more. With a sigh she just assumed that Keirra couldn't be great at everything, though aside from Transfiguration she seemed to be able to do anything. "Transfiguration was very interesting this morning, yeah?"

"Oh yeah, about that...I'm really glad you were able to fix my little mishap. I just couldn't focus this morning, sorry - but you did wonderfully." Keirra notice Aislinn's shifty behavior and was a bit uncertain as whether or not she wanted to talk to her, but she continued all the same. "Aislinn, splendid name."
Keirra just stood for a moment as the chilled breeze began to prickle her skin where sweat had been lingering and soon chill bumps dotted her arms. She began to stretch out her arms attempting to maintain some body heat but the chill bumps had now spread to her lower back. Glancing towards the lake, her mind thought about just jumping in but reason jumped in and told her that it wouldn't have been a very bright idea. The lake was much colder than the air and since she was already practically freezing, it wouldn't have done her a bit of good. "What other classes are you taking? Maybe we have a few together..."
