Keirra could barely notice the cold as she ran down the large stone steps leading to Hagrid's hut, but once she hit the last stair she turned sharply towards her left and towards the lake. The large opaline clouds danced overhead as the sun poked out from behind the overwhelming clouds allowing a few rays of golden light shine upon the ground. Although it appeared as though it should have been a warm day, the chilling breeze quickly asserted that it was indeed not meant to be a warm day. Her feet pounded hard against the ground but she barely noticed as the biting wind and adrenaline rush cleared her mind of all else. She drew in each breath in rhythm with each elongated stride further propelling the clarity of her mind. Sweat slid unnoticed down the small of her back and was soon cold with aid of the wind.
She soon rounded the lake and ran along its sandy shore, her legs pushing harder to gain a grip in the loose sand. After a moment or two she moved effortlessly onto the grass and continued - her legs could only handle so much fighting against the sand.

The wind pulled on Liz’s hair and cooled her skin, as she concentrated on breathing deeply and evenly as her feet bounced off the ground quickly as the girl ran with a bit lowered head, almost hearing her own heart-beats. Liz loved running and especially running outside – for that she even got up fairly early in the morning to jog in peace, admiring the morning that always seemed new and always so fantastical. Running was what kept Liz in shape and what relaxed her. While running Liz had time to think and to just be.
Adding a burst of speed to her moving Liz ran along the shore-line starting to catch up with an other girl running here today. Even though Liz was so envolved with her thoughts, that she almost ran into her, before noticing the other girl. “Sorry,” Liz said trying to get back into the constant stride she had been running with, while she blushed. Liz was shy – extremely shy, and meetings like these, where she almost made a fool out of herself didn’t really help her self-confidence. Luckily it had been an other Gryffindor, so Liz hoped she wasn’t too angry with her, as she sent one more apologizing smile to her, managing to move with a stable pace once again.

Kierra had noticed the sound of someone else's feet hitting the ground at a speed slightly faster than hers, but she was too focused on her breathing and the rhythm of her heart. A few sparrows danced overhead with elation, chattering and singing, that soon fluttered towards the whomping willow and disappeared from sight. Deeply involved in a trance like state, she was suddenly pulled back to reality when the sound of someone almost on top of her hit her ears. Quickly swerving slightly towards the lake and turned her head swiftly towards the intruder of her peaceful world. Her dark eyes searched over the girl hurriedly noting her golden blonde hair and her glistening blue eyes and smiled suddenly. At least it was a Gryffindor who, by her shy demeanor, did not seem to be one to try to knock a fellow house-mate down intentionally. Keirra smiled again at the girl's shyness and then focused her eyes forward again.
"No harm done so no need to worry," Keirra stated assertively while her eyes twinkled excitedly before she continued. "Liz, right? I think we have care of magical creatures together. What year are you?"
Keirra knew she may have seemed to be talking too much but she wanted the girl to be comfortable with her. Sometimes her forward and mischevious demeanor can scare some people away due to her being a possibility of them getting into trouble, but she rarely got into any real trouble. She cast a glance out of the corner of her eye then focused back to the center, hoping the girl would respond well to her attempts.
