The snow was falling steadily down, drifting down and landing gently on the ground. There wasn't any movement on the grounds. All was silent and no one spoke. It was peaceful, until Jordan ran towards the lake. Her footprints were small and barely noticable, she would be amazed if anyone could follow her. She threw her shoulderbag on the ground and kicked it out of her way. She took the letter out of her pocket, read it once again, and then tore it up into pieces before letting it fall gently on the ground in front of her.
"AHHHHHH!" She threw her head back, opened her arms wide, and let out a harrowing scream that could make anyone go deaf. How could they do this to her?! She spent months planning that wedding! MONTHS! And now they were going to call it off?! She had already ordered everything, and now they write her to tell her that Chris didn't love Pat, he loved Rosa and the wedding was off?! Did they honestly think she could take that?!
"I'm SICK and TIRED of their constant on again off again relationship! They need to PICK which one they are going to be and be it! I can't take this! It's too much! All too much!" She screamed at herself. She fell to her knees, put her head in her hands and started to cry. She hadn't taken her pills; feeling as she didn't need them. But, now she wanted them. She wanted to be anti-depressed. Jordan scrambled to find her shoulderbag, and nearly tore it open.
"Where are they? C'mon, where are they?!" She whispered harshly to herself as she realized they weren't there. She dumped everything out of her bag, wondering where she had put them. Realizing she lost them, she sat down and continued to cry. Her tears were nearly frozen as they ran down her cheeks. She could hear someone approach behind her, she didn't turn her head, but she did wipe her tears.
"Go away.." Jordan told them in a small tone. She didn't want to talk to anyone. She didn't want to be with anyone at the moment, she just wanted to be alone.

Brooke had stepped out for her daily walk on the Hogwarts grounds. It was really cold, but that was the way she liked it. She hadn't got very far from the castle when she heard a scream. Brooke jerked her head in the direction of which she heard the scream. She saw a figure a little ways off in the distance and picked up her pace a little.
As she neared the figure she could have sworn it was Jordan. Then when she yelled at Brooke to go away she knew that it was Jordan's voice.
"Jordan it's me, Brooke," she said laying her hand softly on Jordan's shoulder, "What's wrong?"

Jordan stood up, brushing Brooke off. Her eyes dark and her jaw set. She was angry, and if Brooke insisted on being there, she couldn't hold anything against Jordan later on. Because, when Jordan was mad, she didn't hold back. Her mind was set on kill and she never turned it onto fluffy bunnies. The wind nipped at her hair, and her pony tail fell out, causing her brown hair to fly behind her.
"Nothing is wrong. Okay?" Jordan answered with a snap. She crossed her arms and walked away, her feet making footprints in the snow. Her tears were frozen and she was chilled to thebone. But, she didn't care. Her anger was too mcuh to go back inside. Who knew what havoc she would wreak on the innocent students of Hogwarts?
"Raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens. Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens. Brown paper packages tied up with strings, these are a few of my favorite things. Cream colored ponies, and crisp apple strudels. Doorbells and sleighbells and schnitzel with noodles. Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings, these are a few of my favorite things. Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes. Snowflakes that say on my nose and eyelashes. Silver white winters that melt into Springs. These are a few of my favorite things. When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I'm feeling sad. I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don't feel...so...bad." Jordan sang quietly, but she couldn't do that. Becuase, it would remind her of Katie. But, that didn't matter to her anymore. It was a soothing song for her, and if it reminded her of Katie..so be it.

Brooke was awestucken at first, like she had taken a slap across the face. This was certainly not the Jordan Cortes she was used to. 'Nothing is wrong, my butt!' Brooke thought, and once she had overcome the initial shock of Jordan's attitude she ran after her. Coming up behind her she could hear the words of a song being sung softly. The song was familiar but she couldn't place it. What was that song? All the sudden she got a flash back of long, blonde hair and soft, warm arms wrapped around her as she sat on her mother's lap in the rocking chair. She could remember the song now. It was the Favorite Things song.
She began to hum lightly, remembering the words and tune that her mother used to sing to her as a child before bed. That was when she was still afraid of the closet in her bedroom. The shadows it left when they were open were so unbearable, it was enough to make any young child cry, and Brooke would have too, but she never cried. She saw it to be pointless. Brooke didn't mind other people crying, but she just chose to express her emotions in ways that she found worked better for her.
"Jordan!" Brooke said firmly, "Don't give me that crap. I know that there is something wrong. No matter what you say I know that everything is not just fine. Now you can yell at me or scream at me or what ever you want, but I am not just going to let you walk away. I'm your friend, Jordan! Friends are there for each other! They don't just say 'oh it's easier not to care!' They help each other!" she took a deep breath before continuing, preparing herself for what ever may come her way, seeing as she didn't know how an angry Jordan would act she needed to be ready for anything, "Just let it all out Jordan."

"Brooke, just go away, eh?" Jordan muttered, pushing the first year aside and walking away. She crossed her arms against the wind and made her way furhter down towards a large patch of ice. It was frozen over, Jordan sighed and bit her lip, thinking of a way to get her anger out. She pulled out her wand and accioed her ice skates, they floated towards her and she quickly laced up. Stepping onto the ice, Jordan skated. Doing sit spins, triple axels, walley jumps, waltz jumps, and many more. She sighed again and continued to skate, doing the spread eagle while skating around the patch of ice.
She knew Brooke wouldn't give up that easily, it was the nature of the girl to make sure Jordan was okay, after all she was her friend. Jordan didn't want to be talked to, or anything like that. She just wanted to be left alone. If Ivy came along, then maybe she would talk to her, considerin Ivy seemed to do a lot more for Jordan than anyone else could; including Amelia. Jordan stopped skating, and stood in the middle of the ice, looking at the sky in slight anger but, more confusion, "Why?"

Amelia walked across the grounds, humming slightly. Her boredom was large, true. But she was still smiling and happy with the life she was living. her twin sister, Alexis is making friends... which was very good. She sighed again and walked on.
Soon she spotted Jordan and Brooke standing up ahead. She waved, but when Jordan didn't wave back she realized somthing had to be wrong. She held onto her shoulderbag and started to run over to Jordan and Brooke. As she aproached she noticed Jordan looked as if she had been crying. Amelia gasped under her breath and smiled at Jordan.
"Hey," she asked and smiled at Brooke.
