Cass walked out onto the Quidditch pitch with the balls that Madam Hootch had given her. Hoping the young Ravenclaw had gotten her owl, she began to put her padding on. Not really sure why she agreed to this, she began to think of the best way to approach. Yes, she had been taught to be a Beater, but wasn't quite sure why she had been given the torch to pass on.
After putting on her gear, she looked up at the sky. A bit windy, but other than that a glorious day. She sat on the crate holding the balls and waited patiently for her student.

Cassandra inspected the broom that Cairo held so lovingly in his arms. He was really excited over it. Not wanting to end his joy by telling him that first years were not allowed to have brooms, Cass exclaimed, " Cool!"
Not wanting to release the balls yet, she looked at Cairo. " First off, I want to see you fly. Being a good flyer is an integral part to being a good Beater. If you can't fly well, you don't need to be doing Quidditch at all. So let me see you fly."
Cass floated gracefully up off the pitch on her Nimbus 2000, waiting to see if the 1st year was up to snuff.

Cairo steadied him self, grabbed his bat and flew up into the stands. He did some twists and turns, swung at a few imaginary bludgers, and went to join cass.

Cass watched the boy take his loop around the course. " Good but not good enough." She raised quickly in the air and shouted down, " Try to keep up."
She rocketed to the end of the pitch to turn around to see that Cairo had barely gotten started. She looped up to go about 15 feet in the air and come straight back down again. Making a wide circle in the pitch, she rocketed down and made another wide circle at the bottom of the pitch. She looked back to see how her charge was doing.

The reason cairo was having troubte keeping up was that this baggy trousers werecaught on his broom. Suddenly, they ripped and he copied Cass as best as he could, without catching his trousers again. "sorry, my trousers were caught and and -" A freak gale sprung up and knocked him off the broom and he fell 30 metres to the ground and lay there unconsious.
