It was a beautiful Sunday morning and the sun was rising over Hogwarts. Katie decided it was a good day to go by the lake and work on her homework in the sunshine. She got dressed in her robes and walk out the portrait hole. She was walking through a path down a hill a few feet from the lake when all of a sudden something tripped her and she went tumbling down the hill towards the lake. Katie could feel her heart skip beats as she reached the lake and tumbled in. She could hear laughter from underwater and struggled to get up. Her arm and her leg were badly sprained and Katie tried desperately to reach the top for air.

Ivy watched a young first year amble towards the lake. She remembered her first year, spent fairly solitary. Ivy waondered what the new batch of first years were like. Probably about the same balance as every other year. The balance did change over decades though.
Ivy saw three other young girls walking towards the lake, on a collision course with the girl who was alone. They seemed to know each other well, and were laughing together. Ivy bathed in the peace of the moment. It had been a while since she'd had the chance to stop and reflect.
Suddenly Ivy frowed as one of the girls in the group stuck out a leg to trip the girl. They succeeded, and she fell took what looked like a bad fall down the bank, which by now with the autumn rain was terribly muddy, and tumbled into the murky lake.
Ivy didn't like this at all. This wasn't the type of behaviour that should be coming from the youngsters. She ran at top speed towards the spot by the lake, skidding to a halt on the wet grass. The three girls were standing there, sneering and jeering. From a glance Ivy could tell that they were three Slytherin first years. Nasty pieces of work. Some of them didn't turn out so bad after all, but Ivy suspected that these particular ones would be unpleasant throughout their time at Hogwarts and indeed throughout their lives.
"Go! Now!" Ivy yelled at them, fury rising in her. She didn't like to see smaller girls on their own being picked on, especially since she had had something of the kind happen to her in first year. It hadn't been a pleasant experience. Ivy was not intimidated by the Slytherins. She was tall for her age, and towered over them. "Now!" she repeated angrily, "or else I won't leave it up to your victim to decide if we get a teacher or not."
The Slytherins sneered at her but in the end they used their judgement wisely and withdrew. When Ivy got angry, you didn't want to be on her bad side.
Ivy looked towards the lake, where the girl still hadn't surfaced. Ivy frowned. She should have done by now. Ivy sat down at the edge of the bank and slowly lowered herself into the water, which was quite deep. Ivy made contact with the girl, who was thrashing about underwater. Ivy wondered if she couldn't swim, like herself.
Ivy heaved the girl up out of the water and took her to the top of the bank. She didn't look in good shape.
"You all right?" Ivy asked her, wanting an opinion from the person who was most likely to know.

Katie laid there a moment when she was underwater she saw a glow of white light it looked like heaven. After a moment of laying there she coughed and turned over panting for breathe. Her lungs felt like they we on fire and her right leg and left arm were in great pain. She looked at Ivy very great full and tried to force a smiling but she was continued to cough. After a few minutes of getting a breather she looked once again at Ivy very thank full that she was there to save her. "Thank you so much I don’t know what happen one minute I was walking and then the next I was falling down and into the lake" Katie said remembering how terrified she was. She looked at Ivy her robes where wet also she went into the water to save her. Katie once again felt very grateful that Ivy saved her.

The girl looked absolutely awful. Ivy kneeled down beside her, her eyes full of concern.
"Courtesy of a few Slytherins, I'm afraid," Ivy told her. "Idiots that they are."
Ivy concentrated and said, "Accio towel!" It wasn't an easy spell, but she had practiced it a lot of times, a great deal of times, and it worked. A large towel came flying from a nearby bag and Ivy caught it. Some people did carry the weirdest things around.
Ivy ran over to where the owner of the towel was looking at their bag in some concern, a second year Hufflepuff. "Do you mind if I borrow this?" Ivy asked, "there's a girl over there who needs it badly." Ivy pointed over in the direction of the younger girl she had helped. "Thanks," she said, as the second year nodded in bemusement.
Ivy returned to the girl's side, helped her to sit up and wrapped the towel around her.
"I'm Ivy, by the way," she said, smiling reassuringly. "Now then, can you walk?"

Katie looked up at Ivy she smile and gave a nod. She than was walking alongside Ivy limping her way to the castle.
Katie could remember another time when she was as hurt and humiliated it was back at London playing soccer. She was normally the goalie and was a very good goalie too. She remembered driving for a ball and caught it but she was on the ground for a few minutes. Then all of a sudden someone came running right into her there cleats stepped on her stomach and her legs. She than lost the ball and they kicked it in. Katie could feel once again the pain. "I can’t believe I didn’t stop before heading into the lake" Katie said to Ivy.
She than looked back at the lake she was now very terrified of the water. When she tumbled it she couldn’t swim to the top due to her pain and also the lake was pushing her farther and farther down into it wonted her to die.
She once again looked at Ivy and gave a weary smile as they walked together to the grounds.

Ivy took the weight of the younger girl and supported her as they walked across the grass.
"I hardly think it was your fault," she said, "more the Slytherins. Don't worry about it, I'm just glad that I saw it happen."
They continued on in silence, as the girl was obviously in pain.
"I'm taking you to the hospital wing, by the way," Ivy said. "Cos I want you checked over after a nasty fall like that." Ivy smiled reassuringly at the girl, hoping that she would be all right. If she wasn't she would regret letting the Slytherins get away with it. Although she could do without enemies.

Katie was limping beside Ivy as they entered the castle.
She was in deep thought about what just happened. The seen was replayed in her mind over and over again. She breathed for a bit and they walked up the stairs to the hospital wing. As she climed up the stairs she was in great pain her leg was swallen and so was her wrist. She felt like she needed to start convertion with Ivy.
"I know this isant a good time to tell you this but my names Katie, Katie Davenport" katie said as they entered the Hospital wing. Katie could see Madam Pumpfrew tending to another patient. Ivy helped her to a bed and katie laid down exaughted. She was really pale and very cold.
"What happened" Madam Pumpfrew said to Ivy giving her a blanket as fell as katie.
