Katie was finishing a letter in the Gryffindor common room. A couple weeks ago Kiyla told Katie that she was adapted and she taught her how to play a song and continuing to practice. Katie than finished and read it to herself.
Dear Kiyla, ,
I hope you get this letter. Meet me by the lake after classes I have a gift for you

Katie than walked up to the owlery and sent Snowflake off to send the letter to Kyila.
(((((((The next day)))))))))))
Katie was just heading out to the lake carrying something special in her right hand. It was a cold November morning and classes were out for the rest of the day. As Katie reached the lake she stopped and put the gift at her side and looked out onto the icy cold lake waiting for Kiyla.

Kiyla walked over by the lake after receiving a letter from Katie. She wondered what she was going to give her. Kiyla walked over there slowly wraping her robes around her tightly trying to sheild herself from teh cool winds.
"Hey." She said when she spotted Katie.

Katie gave Kyila a warm welcoming smile. She was continuing to loook at the lake before turning over to look at Kiyla.
"I am glad you came" Katie said looking from the lake to Kiyla. Her hair was flying around in the cooled November wind.
"I wont to give you this" Katie said giving kyila a case that was Hufflepuff colors and had a badger on it.
"Open it" Katie said smiling at Kyila waiting to see her expression of the gift.

Kiyla smiled at Katie confused and took the case. It was pretty. It had the Hufflepuff colors on it and all.
Kiyla wondered what it was that Katie had given her. She didn't ask for anything at all. Plus it wasn't even her birthday.
Kiyla slowly opened the casse and gasped.
((Since i don't know what it is that you've given her i can not post more.))

Katie smiled at Kiyla reaction. Her long brown hair continuing to fly madlt behind her in the wind.
"It’s your own guitar. I asked my dad to buy another one and I asked him to make the case the way it is." Katie said as her eye became teary.
The wind was blowing even harder and her eyes started to water.
"You deserve it Kiyla you were the very first person that wonted to be my friend here." Katie said smiling.

Kiyla looked at Katie in shock. She couldn't accept the guitar. It wouldn't be fight.
"I'm sorry... but I can't accept this." Kiyla said as she handed Katie back the guitar in its case.
Kiyla didn't want to hurt the girls feelings but Kiyla wouldn't feel right keeping it.

Katie looked upon Kiyla and nodded her head. Kiyla really deserved this gift more than Katie did.
"No I got it for you its and early Christmas present I might not be hear during Christmas my mom burial will be held soon so I am giving gifts early this season" Katie said handing back the guitar to Kiyla.
"Maybe some day you can play with me if I become a star." Katie said grinning at Kiyla. She tried to pull back her wild hair that was flying all over the place behind her.

Kiyla sighed. Should she jus take it? she knew she wanted to.
"Thank you so so so much!" Kiyla said close to tears as she hugged Katie.
When he hug was over Kiyla causiously took out the guitar. She put it on the correct way that Katie showed her and just sat there for a second.

Katie so happy she made someone happy with a gift of joy. She than look at Kiyla as she held it the right way and stood there getting used to it. She than sat down next to her and smiled.
"Play the cords I taught you last week." Katie asked waiting to hear some beautiful music.

Kiyla smiled and took a deep breathe. She began to play the cords nervously at first but by the end she was calm and relaxed. The guitar was perfect for Kiyla. At the end of the song Kiyla grinned at Katie.
"I love it!" She said as she practically jumped in the air.

Katie smiled at Kiyla as she played. Katie thought it was allot better than when she first tried to play.
"I am glad you love it" Katie said grinning proudly at Kiyla.
She than leaned forward and showed her another song to play. She also showed Kiyla the notes to go along with the cords.

Kiyla smiled at Katie and took the notes to the next song. She studied the for a second and Katie showed her what cords to play. Kiyla nodded slowly and watched closely to the way Katie moved her fingers
"Ok. I think I can handle this." Kiyla thought. She began to play th song starting over after every mistake. When she finaly played the whoel song through without many mistakes she looked at Katie with a smile.
"How was that?" She asked her.

"Oh my gosh that was so good you are such a fast learner." Katie said smiling proudly at Kiyla.
"Do you won’t to go back in or you won’t to learn one more song." Katie said smiling once again at Kiyla.

"I thought we could start slow and easy we are going to try Happy Birthday" Katie said leaning forward and showing her the right notes.
After a while of going over the Happy Birthday song Katie than looked in her back pack and grab a beginner’s guitar book and handed it to Kiyla.
"You can use this and anytime you are free you look at the notes and the pictures of the way they put their fingers in the right places." Katie said smiling at Kiyla.

Katie flashed Kiyla a big glowing smile. She never knew what it was like to have a friend and now she dose.
"I am great to have you and all my other friends as friends" Katie said smiling as they walked back to the castle. It was geting colder than usual and the wind was stronger.

"You didnt have friends before." Katie asked. She thought Kiyla was very cool and had allot of friends.

"Nope. Only Ivy. That was my only friend." Kiyla said nonchalantly. She was surprised that Katie was surprised.
