For once Dana wasn’t moving or dancing or laughing or tutoring. It was rare to see the fifth year Ravenclaw sitting so calmly without a book in hands. But right now Dana had stretched herself out on one of the benches in the Hogwarts courtyard and was enjoying the sun on her face. Leaning on the armrest of the bench Dana let her head fall back and pulled the sleeves of her white jumper up. The last OWL about her father actually being a squib instead of a muggle hadn’t really changed much about Dana’s way of living, but it had made her think.
Dana let out a long breath and smiled listening to some birds – Dana didn’t have a clue which ones – singing and chirping happily. Stretching one of her legs in tight jeans Dana tugged playfully on the magical belly-button ring magically infused into her skin. The small golden snitch was amazingly like it’s original copy. Maybe she should go flying and get some practice done later. Ravenclaw was playing Gryffindor next and the game promised to be a difficult one. Reaching into her pocket Dana pulled out a small practice snitch and let it go. It disappeared fluttering around madly as Dana picked it up from the air some moments later. Letting the practice snitch go again Dana patiently followed it with her eyes as it darted a couple of feet away from her – as far as it could go – and when it fluttered into his reach again Dana reached out and picked the snitch up again. Maybe it wasn’t the best practice available but Dana couldn’t pull her team away from studies - a lot of them had OWLs or NEWTs coming soon and revising was necessary.
Dana let the snitch go again absent-mindedly her sharp eyes following the small ball expertly. It still sometimes surprised Dana that she was best as a seeker. She would do as a fairly good keeper, but seeker was what Dana did best. Maybe because she could usually follow the movements of the small golden snitch and guess where it would dart next usually.

The sun beat down upon Lina as she walked towards the courtyard. Her dark brown hair was tied up today, and she wore a gray button up shirt with black jeans. It was a dull choice of colors, but Lina wasn't dressing to impress anyone. In her hand was a book that was usually residing in her right hand. The book was sent to her last night. A gift from Doriam, he seemed to always buy her one every week. The book was from the muggle word, entitled Artemis Fowl.
Lina always found it interesting to read books that muggles wrote. It was fun to see their perspective on magic, witches, wizards and anything that they considered supernatural. Little did they know that they lived with these made up book characters.
Most benches were already occupied, by couples, or just a bench hog or by students who studied vigorously for their tests. It almost seemed hopeless for Lina, well to find a bench, she was just as glad to sit next to a patch of flowers and finish her books. It didn't matter to Lina at the moment it was better than being cooped up in the castle.
A slight buzzing caught her attention, she thought that is was the insects that swarmed around the flowers. But it wasn't, for Lina saw a small golden glint in the sky. She was tempted to follow it, and did. Lina trailed behind the golden snitch, following it's every move. It made her sway from side to side, and skid every now and then. Then finally it disappeared. Confused, she ran towards the area she last saw it, and ran into the owner of the golden object. The girl that lay before her was no doubt older than her, and most likely not in her house.
Lina smiled slightly, wiping a sheepish look off her face. She thought of something to say as the awkward silence dampened over them, and finally said, "I guess you're the seeker of you're house." She said with a slight smile.

The snitch had been buzzing around Dana and she just caught it just as footsteps appeared and Dana had to move her head to see who had spoken to her. It was a younger girl. Someone Dana didn’t know previously which really wasn’t a surprise either as according to the badge she was wearing she was a Gryffindor. “Yes, I’m a seeker,” Dana answered with a bit absent-minded smile – she had been lost in her thoughts while trying to plan out the upcoming quidditch game. She had to try to catch the tiny snitch before Wonder-kid! Dana almost groaned at the idea, before shaking it off firmly. “For Ravenclaw,” Dana added her house, as her blue jeans and white jumper didn’t give any hint of in which house she would be.
Smiling at the girl – she was probably a third year – Dana smiled: “What about you? Interested in quidditch?”
Lina nodded as she observed Dana closely. She did seem seeker material, of course she would be, or else she wouldn't have been on the team and on that certain position. She wondered how good Dana was, and if she would be good enough to beat the Gryffindor team in the upcoming game.
" 'Course I'm interested in Quidditch." She said with a smile, "I can't even think of a wizard that doesn't enjoy Quidditch." she added as she placed her book into a pocket of her robe. "So how long you been playing for the team?"

Dana chuckled softly: “I’m a pure-blood and I didn’t care the least about Quidditch until two years ago when I went to the try-outs on a dare. I couldn’t even drive a broom until my third year here at Hgowarts. So I was a witch who wasn’t interested in the game. It all changed with the practice I got though.”
Dana fell silent for a moment, trying to recall someone who didn’t care about Quidditch: “Riku, Ed – there are rather many Ravenclaws who don’t care about Quidditch and concentrate on studies instead. Some muggle-born students don’t care very much. Personal choice I guess.”
Letting the girl’s words through her mind once again Dana recalled that she had asked something more: “Oh, and I joined in my fourth year. As I’m a fifth year, I’m playing for the second year. What about – you on the team, a reserve or thinking about trying out?”
Sitting up a bit more straighter Dana reached out her hand: “Dana Coran by the way.”
Lina smiled as she took the outstretched hand, and shook it gently. "Lina Abendroth." She said as she pulled her hand away, and returned into in her crossed position. She was amazed that Dana had no interest in quidditch at first, yet learned to love the game gradually. Of course that would have been expected. It would be hard to not like quidditch in the first place, after all, it was one of the wizardings worlds' most popular sport.
"No... I'm thinking of trying out though." She said with a shrug, she had said this many times, yet never tried out anyway. She had her broom mailed to her and all yet she never really decided upon trying out or not.
"You think you got a shot against Gyffindor?" Lina said, not in a mocking tone, but simply as a question. She assumed that Dana's abilities were great, but just how great were they?

“Thinking of trying out? Why don’t I hear any certainty in that statement?” Dana asked with an amused arch of her eye-brow, “You should be bothering Wonder-kid every second of every day until you are part of the team. Girls are allowed into the boys dormitories so it’s actually not a completely impossible task. I could almost imagine it.”
Dana grinned at Lina with a mischievous twinkle appearing in her eyes as she threw the training snitch into the air and playfully tugged at the small snitch she wore on a little chain as a belly-button ring. I w as magical, so it took a simple spell to attach it and deattach it.
“I think I’m letting Cho play keeper this game – it is her last, as she is graduating. I make a fairly decent keeper myself, so I’ll fill in that position. Besides as a keeper I get some time to observe how my team works,” Dana muttered the game-plan flashing through her mind, “The team is good, so naturally we have a shot. If the Wonder-kid doesn’t fall or swallow the snitch again.”
Dana’s eyes flashed to Lina with amusement again: “No offence, alright. It’s a habit and a long story about why I call him Wonder-boy.”
