The night was cold, as was most April nights at Hogwarts. The sky was an inky black, sprinkled with diamond like orbs, which reflected like shards of broken glass in the crystal blue lake. The moon hung low in the sky, looking as if it too were tired of doing the same thing every night. The wind whispered gently through the trees, the old cedars creaking in protest. The crystal blue waters of the lake lapped the shore restlessly, never ceasing in it's action.
Raine let out a long sigh, as he sat on the cold, marble bench. It was just one of those days that seemed to drag on, and never end.
"Mr.Maida, may I ask if you ever bring your common sense with you, instead of that smug look upon your face to my class?" Raines voice came out high and squeaky, his eyebrows burrowed in annoyance. Professor Snapes drawling voice kept blaring through his eardrums. It seemed as if everyone had it out for Raine today. His teachers, his friends. Everyone had suddenly grew tire of his foolish antics.
He buried his head in his hands, wishing the day would just end. But even though Raine was in a magical world, didn't mean wishes came true.
"My day couldn't get any worse..."He grumbled.
