Amelia exited her last class with a sigh of relief. No more classes! Amelia gripped her book bag strap and was soon running with excitment towards the front doors of Hogwarts. She smiled as she pushed the great doors open, the sweet smell of summer welcoming her. She closed her eyes and breathed in the wonderful smell, her favorite smell. She looked about at the grounds, pondering where to sit and write... she decided on the courtyard. She walked over to the flowing fountains and blooming gardens.
She went to her favorite bench and sat down, taking out her writing notebook and flipped through the 58 pages of writing that she had already writen. She read through the last page and nodded to herself, memories flodding back, ideas streaming through. She took out her quill and ink bottle and began to continue on...

Jordan's last class ended, slowly. So slowly in fact that she thought she would implode from the excitement. It was almost time to get out of class for the day. Then there was the classes again tomorrow. She was glad that her last class was Divination, but honestly the class had begun to become boring. Jordan looked at the clock on the wall, the big hand reached the 12 and she was out of her seat. Down the spiraling staircase and out to the daylight. Her brown hair had successfully fallen out of her bun, and was streaming behind her as she spun in circles. She did three backflips before starting to dance with a few Gryffindors who were making their own moves to an old song.
Finishing her winding routine, Jordan headed towards the courtyard, about ready to scare a few people. She took her usual position under the bench and laid down, waiting for someone to sit on her, or the bench rather. A few minutes went by and no one came, she felt sad and deserted, that was until a girl, a Gryffindor it seemed, sat down on her bench. Jordan smiled playfully and without warning, she picked up the stone bench and slid it one direction. The girl toppled off and into the gravel. Jordan couldn't help but crack up laughing, it was so much fun to see who she could make fall. She stood up from her place and held out her hand for the girl to take, "No good having a boring afternoon writing, now is it? You need some excitement, don't you?" She asked in greeting, her dimpled smile revealing her childish self.

Amelia wrote maybe one word when suddenly the bench began to rise from beneith her. She screamed in surprise as she fell from the stone bench, her notebook, quill and ink bottle flying. Her legs kicked and her arms flailed as she painfully hit the ground. As she lay there on the ground, her legs sitting in strange positions and her skirt too high up and showing WAY too much thigh. She sat up, pulling her skirt back down to her knees, angrilly looking at the spilled ink and her notebook. She heard giggling and turned to see a Hufflepuff girl climb out from under the bench. She was a year older, maybe two and Amelia felt anger at the girl.
She made an outragous comment about needing excitment. Amelia glared.
"Excitment!?" she felt her breathing harden, "That wasn't exciting! That was just plain rude!" she turned to her notebook and gently picked it up, trying to straighten the pages. She carefully took hold of her ink bottle and tried to find her quill. She was thankful that the ink hadn't gotten on her notebook.
"I enjoy writing, thank you!" as she glared down at her notebook, she suddenly realized how idiotic she must have looked. Her cheeks suddenly blazed and she frantically checked the courtyard incase people had seen. A few were laughing histerically and some were whispering, one girl who was slightly far off was looking sympathetic. Amelia sighed and turned to the girl who had pulled the nasty prank.

Jordan looked at this girl, a year younger, and having a fiery temper. Jordan couldn't help but smile as kindly as she could. As sweet and innocent this Gryffindor was, she had a very hot temper and did a very good insult when warranted. She noticed the girl turn red when she realised this was in public, and Jordan waved the thought away with her hand. Draping her right arm around the girl and saying; "Rude as it may be, my dear friend, it still shook you out of your shell, did it not?" Jordan stepped away from the girl and jumped on the bench that was used as a pranking tool, her arms spread wide open.
"And although you may enjoy writing, nothing tops spending some time with someone who likes to make people smile, no matter how dull or depressed they are. Because after all," She jumped down off the bench and appeared in front of the Gryffindor with that same dimpled smile, "if everyone smiled at one another everyday, there wouldn't be that much sadness and terror in the world anymore." That was Jordan's motto, she lived her life by it and tried to spread it around as much as possible. Some called her a hyperactive 15 year old, but Jordan begged to differ. She was simply; eternally happy and joyous. She took the good side of life, and stretched it to make it the great side of life.
Jordan stopped smiling when she realised she hadn't introduced herself. This was appalling! Everyone should know Jordan Georgia Lehane! She was the happiest person you could probably ever meet, well, maybe there was someone who was much happier than her, but no one else liked to share it like she did. Jordan stuck out her hand and said in an exicted tone of voice, "I'm Jordan Lehane; Hufflepuff Fifth year, just in case you were wondering." She smiled and waited for the Gryffindor to introduce herself.

Amelia glared ever so slightly as the girl draped an arm around her shoulders. She shrugged off the girl's arm and put a hand on her hip as she listened to her. Bringing her out of her shell? That wasn't out of her shell... oh no... it was just a slight burst of anger. But as Amelia dwelled on the thought for a moment, she realized... did she suddenly open up. Gasping Amelia stared at the girl as she stood there, telling her name. Never had this happened before. Amelia was the most secerative little Gryffindor ever! She was the shyest of them all, the most distant and innocent of them all.
When the girl introduced herself as Jordan Lehane, Amelia rolled her hypnotizing blue eyes. She had heard of her. Who hadn't?
"Yes yes yes... the life loving prankster of Hufflepuff. I know you. By your reputation of course." Amelia was shocked at how her voice sounded. She sighed and stared at Jordan incredulously, "Amelia..." she said quietly, "Shoshana.."

Jordan smiled and jumped on the bench again, she was indeed the life loving prankster of Hufflepuff. Next to Dillion Moore of course, but Jordan did indeed love life and she loved to make it known that she loved life. As Amelia introduced herself, Jordan tilted her head, her silky brown hair falling over her shoulder, "Shoshona you say? Now, that is an interesting last name! I adore interesting last names, I mean, look at mine. It's so dull. I think it's because my parents are both muggle. Are you a muggle born, Amelia? Oh, how about I call you Ames? I like that name! Isn't it interesting. I love interesting names! I already said that though, didn't I?" Her voice seemed to run away with her, she just kept rambling and rambling. It just always happened when Jordan was in the process of making a potential friend.
Jordan looked at the thing Ames was wrtiing on and she tilted her head even more, "Whatcha writing? I love to read. Some people don't think Hufflepuff's enjoy doing classwork and that we aren't as smart as the Ravenclaws, but we are. Maybe we are even smarter sometimes. The people in other houses just don't take the time to get to know us Huffleypuffleys. They don't get to see how wonderful we are. Oh! You're in Gryffindor, do you know Lenora Byers? Her and I are friends. She's great, I adore her to death! So is Dana Coran, but she's a Ravenclaw. Ashley Hill is the best too, she's a Huffleypuffley like me, a year below but still good!" She seemed to stray off topic again, she was always doing that and it always seemed to scare someone off. She hated when that happened. She wondered if this Amelia person would run off frightened of her happiness as well.

Amelia just stared at the "thing" that was bouncing around rambling on about her name. How could such a strange person wind up in Hufflepuff? Amelia felt her mouth drop as she watched the girl run about. How could she be a year older? The girl acted as though she were four! As Jordan rambled on and on about how much she liked interesting names, Amelia was glad to see that people were leaving. She sighed and then heard her favorite nickname. Her cheeks burned with anger again.
"No one but my best friend can call me Ames!" she said, her voice rising. But Jordan ignored it. She kept on talking. Amelia stared incredulously. There was no way someone could talk that much about nothing! IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE! Amelia then snatched her notebook as she saw Jordan was looking at it. She held it tight against her chest. Her eyes glared at the girl when she asked about it.
"That's none of your buissness!" she tightened her hold on her precious notebook. She just couldn't believe it when Jordan changed subjects again! AGAIN!
"Yes I may be a Gryffindor, but what does that have to do with anythi-" she just stopped talking as Jordan continued on. When she finally stopped, Amelia shook her head.
"Do you ever stop talking???" Amelia asked, one eyebrow raised.
