( ooc// Sorry if my post is a bit weak, I'm working on building my vocabulary)
Shadow rested her head against the light, faded face of the nearest bench to her. She was exhausted from all the work she had today. Her Potions and Defense Against the Dark Arts homework wasn’t that bad- seeing that she was very fond of the Dark Arts and the fact that Professor Snape went easy on the Slytherins, yet everything else seemed to take, in Shadow’s case, forever to complete. The sun beamed on her forehead, as she squinted her already almond shaped eyes to try to avoid the rays without moving. The Slytherin tie hung loosely around her neck as she had rolled up her sleeves to her very uncomfortable white blouse. She didn’t wear her proper robes because of the weather.
It was the middle of the afternoon and she didn’t have anything to do, which in her case was either trouble brewing or someone to talk to. This year had started out a bit on the lazy side, and Shadow didn’t mind this one bit. She enjoyed being less tense for once. Sure her classes weren’t helping that much, but whatever time she spent out of the classrooms and wondering around finding new places to explore took the load of the day off her shoulders.
It was quiet. A few students rushing around, chattering with their friends. A few Gryffindor students glanced at her and she glanced back, her hand now shading her eyes from the sun. She smirked as the Gryffindors quickly turned away. Apparently she had already lived up to her reputation of not liking as many Gryffindors as anyone else. Matter of fact, she hadn’t liked anyone of the opposed houses- which by now was common to almost all respective Slytherins, according to her mother.

Justin jumped up as something hit his desk. "Wake up Mr. Lionheart, or should I take points away for sleeping in my class?" said the Professor. Justin shrugged and said " Sorry 'bout that Professor, but I'm very tired. Wo'nt happen again." He waited for her to turn her back, and he pulled out one of his fireworks. He set it up, and lit it. Five, four, three, two, one.... boom. It went flying around the room, and hit a Slytherin directly in the face, spraying the SLytherin with Stinksap. The Professor looked at the boy, shocked, and said " Who did that?" Noone answered, so she gave them all extra homework, she then told the boy that was hit by it to go and clean himself up. The bell rang, and she dismissed the class.
Out in the hall, Justin exploded with laughter. He looked at his fellow Gryffindor's that were walking with him, " Did you see that, I ca'nt believe that it actually worked." It was his latest development, the Stinksap Zapper. He left his friend to go to class, and he made his way to the courtyard. On the way he passed many SLytherins, and quite a few younger students, their classes must have been canceled. He made a left turn, and saw Filch. He turned around as quick as he could, and instead tyook an alternate root to the Courtyard. He reached the entrance hall in no time, and went out of it.
In the fresh air, he felt relaxed and walked directly torward the Courtyard. As he entered it, he saw that there were a few students milling about. He saw an Slytherin, a third year by the look of her, maybe she knew his cousin, also, she might be like Perseus, and actually like students out of her own house. He walked over to her and said " Well, hello there, mind if I sit down?"

She glanced up at the sound of someone talking to her. She slid her legs to make room for the boy. He looked to be a bit older than her, “Sure…go ahead.” She sat up, brushing a few small grains of gravel from her hair. “I’m Shadow by the way.” She had a soft-spoken voice, yet there was a bit of tension in it. She hadn’t talked to a Gryffindor without being rude and since this one was older, she had to make an exception. She might have not liked as many Gryffindors as people would want her to, but she surely wasn’t disrespectful.
She looked at him for a moment, her eyes doing a sort of analysis on him. All she knew at the moment was that he was about 2 years older than her and a Gryffindor. She squinted as a cloud that was blocking some light passed and a stream of sun came bellowing upon her once more. “And you are?” She asked, her voice coming up to its normal tone.

"Scuze me! Pardon me! Screw this! EVERYBODY MOVE IT NOW BEFORE I PRANK ALL YOUR ARSES!" And they moved, like the Red Sea, and Jordan was Moses. She sighed with satisfactory, and walked through the hallways...noting the glances she got from people. What was a Hufflepuff doing threatening people? A sweet innocent little Hufflepuff? There was more to Jordan Lehane then what met the eye. She smiled innocently at a few younger Hufflepuffs, who smiled back at her, and made her way to the Courtyard. Filch was blocking her way, she went up to him and tapped him on the shoulder, "Hi. I know you're doing your job. But, I have a free period, and I would like to spend it lounging in the beautiful courtyard. So, if you could please, move...I would greatly appreciate it. And the next time I am out past curfew, I will let you know first hand that I am out, ok?" Jordan's voice was sweet, and Filch didn't budge. She put her hands on her hips, "How rude." She said. She then squeezed in between him and the doorway. The sunlight welcomed her and she smiled with brilliance, the birds were singing, and voices were floating towards her. She stopped walking, and tilted her ear towards the direction of the voices. Jordan liked to listen in on conversations. She got on all fours, and crawled towards the voices. Her knees getting scraped up, but she didn't care. She sat behind a bench, with a Slytherin and a Gryffindor conversing. Which caught her by surprise, but not much. They seemed to have just met. Good! She thought, Then we can all meet a new person today! She laid down on her back and scrambled under the bench. Pulling herself up under them, and looking up at them, "Hello there! Beautiful day isn't it?!" She asked, her voice a little too cheerful.

Shadow glanced at the Hufflepuff in an odd sort of way, “Yea…nice day.” She managed to crack a smile. This ‘meeting people outside her house thing’ was a bit difficult, but she was never the one to complain. “I’m Shadow.” She brushed a bit of dark brown hair away from her eyes as she once again analyzed the new comer. She was older than her, once again, which seemed a bit frustrating since Shadow already felt like a youngling- yet meeting older people wasn’t that bad.
She turned to the Gryffindor, “So what classes do you take?” This was an odd topic, since Shadow wasn’t at the top of any of her classes and didn’t care much of it. She glanced back at the Hufflepuff, awaiting an answer to her previous question. She saw a few more students provide odd glances at the trio, seeing that all they needed was a Ravenclaw and they would be rewriting history, in a way. “Sorry if I come off as sort of a ‘not able to communicate well’ type of person, but I’m sort of new with the whole introducing myself and what not.” She smiled a bit; these two weren’t as bad as her mother had described them. They weren’t as bad as the ones she had met before. She glanced at the figure who was still standing at the entrance of the courtyard, Filch. "Gah... I don't like him very much.." She muttered as she returned the ocld glance he had shot at her.

Justin grinned and said, " Thanks." He sat down and stretched his arms out, yawnig while he did it. He looked at the girl and noted that she was at least two years younger than him. He listened to what she had to say and he leaned back up against a tree behind the bench. He said " Nice to meet ya Shadow, I'm Justin Lionheart, my friends call me JL. I take COMC, DATDA, Transfiguration, Arithmancy, and some others. What about you?" He then closed his eyes and let the wind blow through his hair. He smiled and thought of the summer days back at home.
He opened his eys as another girl approached, it was his lucky day, two girl within minutes. He watched as she came to a stop and listened to her, he then said " yeah, it's a beautiful day, but who are you?" He leaned forward and looked at Shadow and said " Do you know her?" He looked back and forth between the two girls.

Jordan smiled, tilted her head to the right, and scrambled out from under the bench. She stood up, brushed herself off and smiled even brighter, "Jordan Lehane! Everyone should know me! I bring smiles on faces and happiness into dull days. Just today I turned Snape's hair colors. Pretty colors too. Purple, and blue, and red." Jordan giggled at the memory, "Everyone else liked it..but he didn't." She told them with a sly wink. Jordan sat down, right where she was standing, and brought her bag onto her lap.
"Anyway," She stressed out the way, "I have a free period. Do you two? Becuase, if you don't...shame on you...shame shame shame. Skipping class is not good for your health at all. Filch'll get you. He will. He has eyes like a hawk, I swear. But, you just got to show a little kindness to him," As she said this, she took out a plate of cookies and her wand. She set the plate of cookies on the ground beside her, pointed her wand at the plate and said, "Wingardium Leviosa." The plate floated, and she pointed to Filch. The plate of cookies landed in front of him. She didn't look long enough to see if he took them or not.
"Even if he doesn't like the fact that someone out there is trying to make him smile a little, doesn't mean you can't try..." Jordan told them with a short nod.

Justin stared at Jordan incredulously. WHo in their right mind would be nice to Filch, well actually if your right handed, you use your left side of the mind, in Justin's case, he actuall was in his right mind, him being a lefty and all. He said " I ai'nt got any classes for the rest of the day, even if I did, Filch could'nt catch me if his life depended on it." WHil Jordan was;nt watching, Justin pointed his wand at the plate and whispered " Scourgify." The cookies now tasted like soap. Grinning he said '' Now, why are you so nice to him?"
(Sorry for the shortness, but I have no ideas right now.)

Shadow shook her head at Justin, “Nope…never met her…I don’t know a lot of people anyway.” She looked at Filch, “He’s never been nice to me- since the first day I arrived here. It’s a kind of mutual thing.” She smirked as she saw what Justin had done to the cookies. “I think he does deserve those cookies.” She laughed a bit before turning to Jordan, “You remind me of my cousin- except she’s on an expedition. Very eh- cheerful and stuff.” She thought a moment; did she have classes right now? “I have a free period too.” She smiled, since this wasn’t really a lie. “I take DatDA, CoMC, and eh…Potions... and some other classes- my mind is a blank right now. I think I might be starting Divination soon which I’m not too happy about.”
She watched as Filch took up one of the cookies, first sniffing them, glancing around, then taking a big bite. A few seconds later, his eyes bulged as he spat out the chunks of cookie. She laughed, “Ungrateful… that’s what he is.” As soon as she had said that Filch took a quick glance at the three. “I think he thinks that we did something… see that’s what I mean- he’ll think something and believe it till the day he dies.” She rolled her eyes at the thought of what Filch had told her when she first arrived. “So- what are you doing the rest of the day?” She asked Justin.

Jordan watched as Filch bit into one of the cookies, then listened to Shadow. She snapped her head towards Justin. Jordan wasn't going to say anything about the scourgify. But she had in fact heard it, her hearing was her best sense, "Well. If Mr. I have to ruin everything, over here hadn't cast scourgify on the cookies, maybe then they wouldn't taste like soap." Jordan's happy and cheerful mood had instantly vanished.
"Bad moods are contagious you know. One person is in a bad mood, it makes all the people around them in a bad mood. Same with a bad sport. You need to learn manners, Justin, remind me to cast scourgify on your food tonight at supper." She snapped, her tone sharp and violent. She hated it when people were mean to others for no reason. Filch wasn't meant to be friends with the students. He was just doing his god damned job. Why people had to mess with that, was way below Jordan's imagination. She wasn't that low.
"I'm taking any classes that are available to me. And the ones that I want to take of course." She added to Shadow's previous question about classes.

Shadow glanced between Jordan and Justin, a piece of dark auburn hair swished back and forth. “Haha…you’ve just gotten caught Mr. Lionheart.” She said in a rather jokingly matter. She turned back to Jordan, “Hey, he was just returning a favor of Mr. Filch… in a way.” She shrugged, “But why does he have to be so apprehensive and vindictive about everything and everyone? He could have more fun with a dementor than with students…and that’s a shame.” She nodded her head, as if it were a fact. “What he needs is a woman… I s’pose almost every male here deserves to have one at least one time around.”
“So, that means you’re smart right?” She asked Jordan, changing the subject to the classes again. “Then why aren’t you in Ravenclaw? Or are you just taking as many classes as you can handle just to graduate with perfect O’s?”
(( Sorry so short…block.))

Justin looked at Jordan with a cocked eyebrow. In his defense, he had tried to be nice to Filch once, but no, Filch just had to ruin by saying '' No fireworks in the Great Hall." He looked at Shadow and heard her question. He thought for a second or two, then said, " Well, for the rest of the day, I'm doing nothing but kicking back and relaxing. What are you gonna do?"
He turned his attention to Jordan, and listened to her rant. He put his hand in his hair and said " Well, I have manners, but he deserved what he got, he gave me detention for walking past his room to loudly." Justin usually left the caretaker alone, when he was'nt causing mayhem in the halls that is. Most of the time it was just to make his friends laugh. He made a mental note of the scourgify thing, but he did'nt take any heed to it. He rarely ate dinner with everyone. He ate dinner every other day.
He listened to the two girls talk and he said " I'm smart, but taking all the class that you can does'nt make you smart, it means your over zealous, for instance, Hermione Granger is both smart, and very over zealous." As an after note, he said " Though I believe Jordan is smart, maybe." He winked at her and said, " Then again, everyone is smart in one way or another."

"You bet I'm smart. Smart as they come. I enjoy studying, and trying to do my best. But, it just so happens, I enjoy trying to make people smile and get everyone to have friends more. Which is why I was placed in Hufflepuff." Jordan said to Shadow. In truth, Jordan had actually thought about that question from time to time and when she had figured out why, she liked the answer so much she wrote it down so she wouldn't forget it. She smiled a little, but looked back at Justin..
"Well, maybe you do walk to loud. And what were you doing down in the dungeons? For, that is where Filch's room is." Jordan asked, her right eyebrow slightly raised higher than her left. Jordan knew the castle like the back of her hand. She knew secret passageways, and other things...just by trailing Filch. This proved useful when she wanted to sneak out for a late night jog or gymnastics training. Jordan went down the road of rule breaking, and smiled at all the things she had done. She had done a lot in her five years at Hogwarts. And she did mean a lot.
"Over-zealous?" Jordan piped up, but she hadn't let Justin finish. But, he continued and she smiled with a small nod, "Yeah. Ok. You're off the hook. For a minute there I thought you were calling me over-zealous. I can't help it if it all comes so easily to me." Jordan picked up a rock and threw it at Justin. It was a small rock, not one big enough to hurt him, more like a piece of gravel, but she threw it. And it sailed in the air, arched perfectly, and hit him in the forhead. Jordan laughed a little and hid her face in case any rocks came flying back at her.

Shadow arched an eyebrow as she glanced between Justin and Jordan. They both had separate cases, one more plausible than the other. She laughed as the pebble hit Justin in the forehead. “Good aiming.” She said smiling innocently at Justin. “Anyway…I’m just going to be around… again…” She didn’t feel like attending classes at the moment and today was such a nice day. Or maybe she would find a few mischief-makers to cause some pandemonium with. Whatever came her way she would deal with it one way or another.
“So, who are the ‘rulers’ of Hogwarts?” She asked, noticing that almost every student traveled with a pack. She paused, “Wait…how do you know everything about this place? Does Filch take you everywhere?” She shook her head, still disbelieving the fact that someone…anyone could be a bit nice to Filch, or his cat. She hated that cat… always following her around like a dog with a plate of beef.

Justin faked a shocked look and said, " I was in the dungeons helping to make a pool." It was sorta the turth, he had flooded the dungeons, but still Filch had'nt known that. As he turned his head to look at Shadow, a piece of gravel hit him in the head, and cocked an eyebrow. He pulled his wand out, and one of his newest inventions. He called it the miscellaneous malt-ball. He had a box of them and pulled that out as well. He looked at Jordan and said " Here, want a chocholate, I swear they are good." In truth they tasted delicious, but something strange would always happen when you ate one. For instance, he had tested them out on himself, and one time, he had floated in midair. Then again he put all kinds of spells on the candy.
He put the box next to Jordan, then looked at Shadow and said, " Well, I know all about this place, in fact I made my own map. Shows every secret passage way and secret room, including new secret that even Filch does'nt know about, I mean my secret storage rooms." He then thought of the rulers thing. He thought on this and said, " Well since your a Slytherin, I'd say that your best bet is the Queens of Slytherin, though I daresay tat you wo'nt like Dawn much. In the other houses I'm not sure, most people just get along with each-other, but the Queens think they're the best, that's where I come in. I always end up getting mixed-up with them and getting into fights, but I have help. it used to be from Perseus, but he's changed, now it's Jaquin, Nasser, and Harry, but it's usuall the first two that help me."

Jordan shook her head, "No chocolate for me. Causes acne. Honestly don't you boys know anything?" She sighed in exasperation and put her hand to her forehead, then she fell backward with an overexaggerated sigh. She was quite the drama queen. She smiled and sat up again, a few pebbles tumbling down her back from her hair, which was now tangled. Jordan quickly ran her fingers through it, and then placed some behind her ear. She threw the chocolate ball at Justin, not really thinking anything about it. She just didn't take candy from pranksters. And Justin was a known prankster.
"I tail Filch. At night. I also go jogging, with a charm on so no one hears my footsteps of course. I also find myself wandering aimlessly a lot of the time. I've cleaned up some empty rooms and returned them to their full potential. I think I know this castle like the back of my hand." Jordan said thoughtfully, not really sure if the question was directed to her. Apparently Justin answered the question as well so it didn't really matter anyway. Then she pondered on the leaders question. Slytherin had the Queens, that was certain. Gryffindors looked up to Harry, especially young Gryffindors. Hufflepuffs were just one big happy family, no leaders, and Ravenclaws...who knew how they were?
"Slytherins have the Queens...nasty bunch they are...Gryffindors look up to the Trio, especially the younger ones. Hufflepuffs stick together, we're just one big happy family. And Ravenclaws, I think they are just...happy with their friends and studies." Jordan answered after Justin had. She nodded her head once to emphasize her point, and say she was finished.
