Caiest looked at herself in the mirror of the bathroom. Her hair was up in a low ponytail so that the rubber band was just above the part where her black hair was dyed purple. She made sure her black lipstick was applied perfectly and glancing at her watch she noticed that class was ending just about now. Sure enough stepping out of the bathroom the bell rang and the crowd surged to the next class. Caiest looked at her schedule she had potions. There was no way that she was going to attend.
Caiest broke away from the crowd and headed for the doors. Making sure that there were no teachers around Caiest made her way to the Courtyard. As she was walking she realized how much she loved the Courtyard while class was in session. There weren't any people. Walking along she began humming the end theme to Full Metal Alchemist. She was so involved in her thoughts of her favorite anime that as she was turning the corner she accidentally bumped into a passing girl. "Sorry." She mumbled picking up her fallen bag.

Kelsey shook her head as suddenly a girl bumped into her, books flying. She bent down to help the girl and stood up again. Kelsey knew how horrible she must look. Her black hair matted from not caring to brush, her clothes wrinkled and her shirt half untucked and half tucked into her gray and white plaid skirt. One knee high sock was pulled up and the other she had let fall down. She wore no make up and hadn't been able to sleep a whole night in almost a week, so her eyes were red and swollen looking. But she didn't smell badly, which she was happy for as people would have started to notice... which wasn't all that bad.
She mumbled, "It's ok," and was about to speed off but...

Caiest picked up her bag and was going to leave without a backwards glance. However the girl looked pretty bad. Like she hadn't slept in weeks or was sick or something. Normally she wouldn't have cared because the girl wasn't any of her concern but lately Caiest had become more outgoing and more caring. Caiest turned to the girl. "Hey you ok?" She asked looking slightly concerned.

Kelsey looked at the girl suddenly, when she asked if she was alright. Kelsey stammered incoherently. Of course she wasn't all right. She was feeling terrible about herself, feeling phisically tired all the time, and she had to hold back tears whenever she thought about it. She stammered more and recovered herself.
"I...i'm fine..." she gulped, half wishing someone would care and half wishing to be left alone.

Class had ended a few minutes past. Well, that didn't matter, seeing as Dixie hadn't attended. She rarely attended classes she disliked. And she had disliked History of Magic, therefore she had not went. Instead she had hidden in an empty washroom, going through her books on Animagus, chewing gum, humming tunes. Dix smacked her gum as she turned a page and saw a rather graphic image of someone turning into a dog. Dix sighed, knowing she would never master that, and slammed the cover of the book shut. She made a bubble with her gum, and stood up, stretching her rather long legs. She tilted her head back, her brown hair fell down her back. Dix made a funny groaning noise and sat up straight, her back fully stretched.
She looked into the mirror, and gasped at the sight she saw. Dix was about fashion a lot of the time. It gave her a lot of confidence to know she looked damn good. Dixie dug into her purse and pulled out a brush and her bag of make-up. She pulled her brush through her hair, and tied it up into a tight pony tail. She smoothed out any bumps there were, and then moved onto her make-up. Gently and carefully, Dix applied eyeliner along the lower lid, then applied it to her upper lid. She put that away, blended the eyeliner, then put on eyeshadow. Light green eyeshadow. Lip gloss was applied and blush was as well. When she stepped back to look at herself, she was satisfied with her looks.
Blue jeans and a green jersey that said "Slytherin" on it. One she had made herself. Her black tennis shoes were the only things that were the dark on her body. Dixie didn't like black all too well, which was why she refused to wear the uniform most the time. She didn't wear bright extravagant colors either. Mostly just tints and shades of green and silver. With one last teeth check, to make sure her lipgloss wasn't on her pearly white teeth, Dix left the washroom and made her way to the courtyard. People said hi to her, but out of fright, and others just ran from her. Good. She was making her way out of the Courtyard when a horrific sight came upon her. This girl! Why she was...Dix shuddered, in need of Dixie's help, "Excuse me. But, um, are you trying to make a fashion statement?" Dixie asked who seemed to be a fifth year Hufflepuff.

Caiest shifted uncomfortably. God she was horrible at making someone feel better. She was the one that people hated because she'd tell the truth to you whether you liked it or not. This girl however seemed to be in need of someone to talk to. Caiest could at least offer to listen and the girl could do with the offer as she pleased. "Well I'm horrible at giving advice and I'm not very good at this type of thing but you don't look fine. You look like you need someone to listen to you and I'm a fairly good listener. But if it's advice you need I'm not so good in that department. I can try though if you want me to or if you want me to leave that's fine too."
Just then another girl walked up to them she took in Kelsey's appearance and shuddered before asking her if she was trying to make a fashion statement. This angered Caiest couldn't the girl tell that Kelsey was hurting. Then Caiest noticed that the girl was a Slytherin. 'Well that explains everything'. Caiest thought rolling her eyes. Caiest wasn't too happy with the Slytherins at present. Not since Pyro had betrayed her to a group of Slytherins who called themselves the "Chosen" Glaring at the newcomer Caiest spoke a chilly tone to her words. "You Slytherins have nothing better to do then pick on someone who's obviously having a bad day?"

Dix directed her gaze to the other girl, "I am not picking on her I'm helping her. You haven't seen me pick on someone, and believe me this is not picking. Don't assume something without knowing. Alright?" Dixie raised an eyebrow and tilted her head. Dix could harm this girl, and if she couldn't, she would get Mack or Kori to do it. Dix smiled at this girl then stuck out her hand, "Dixie Holden." She wasn't expecting much an introduction but, it didn't do any harm to try and be friendly. Dix was in an exceptional mood today.

The newcomer told her that she wasn't picking on Kelsey that she was trying to help her. Caiest wanted to say who says she needs your help but held her tounge as the newcomer held out her hand and introduced herself as Dixie. This actually surprised Caiest but she didn't let it show. Instead she took the offered hand "Caiest." She said. "Sorry about the assumption I'm not to keen on Slytherins at this moment."

Dixie smiled, "Is anyone ever keen on Slyths? I mean, we're a rotten bunch at times. No hard feelings though. You're allowed to be defensive, I don't blame you. Slytherin's are rather, um, what's the word? Cruel?" She asked with a tilt of her head. Dix then turned to the Hufflepuff.
"Do you know who she is?" Dixie asked Caiest, nodding towards the other girl.

Caiest smiled slightly as Dixie said Slytherins could be cruel. The word Caiest had in mind for most Slytherins was an entirely different one a meaner one but Cruel worked too. "Well I know some people who like Slytherins. But I agree for the most part people aren't to keen on you." She looked away she wasn't sure what else to say. She was never one for socializing and it probably showed. There were reasons she only had two friends.
She welcomed the subject change when Dixie asked if she knew who the hufflepuff was. "No clue just met her."
