Tristian sighed and glanced out the window from the library. It really was a beautiful day out much more appealing then sitting in this crowded room full of people who seemed to have had the same thought that she had. You can get more studying done in a library. Usually this was true but not today. Everyone seemed to have come to the library today and it was very distracting to her. Some kid to the left of her was reciting spells and not to quietly either as the people around him kept shushing him. Then the clicking of Madame Pince's heels as she rushed around quieting people seemed louder then normal. The kid opposite her had the bad habit of drumming her fingers as she read. All in all the library was not a good place to concentrate right now. 'Well the Courtyard won't be much better.' She thought and was going to try and tough it out until another kid shushed the boy reciting spells. "If you two don't shut up right now I will curse you into next week." She said menacingly to the two younger students. That shut them up in a hurry but the worried glances they kept sending her wasn't any better.
With an exasperated sigh Tristian gathered all her things up and made her way outside to the Courtyard. Surprisingly the Couryard was pretty much deserted. There were a few people scattered here and there but it seemed as if there should be more people out on this fine day. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and it was plenty warm enough still Tristian wasn't complaining. Sitting down against a tree Tristian began to try and work on her homework again. That is until a shadow blocked the sun. "Do you mind? I'm trying to study."

"Nope don't mind at all." Kori retorted with a smirk. She wasn't particularly in a good mood today. Maybe backtracking would explain a lot more; Kori had spent her day studying and failing at studying. So when she had gone to the library in hopes of accomplishing somehting she had found the horrible mob of people who were cramming for the exams. Kori merely left the library and made her way to the courtyard. Still in a bad mood. When she stood in front of a girl who was trying to study, she wasn't exactly going to move.
"You don't do you?" Kori asked in a smooth and silky voice. She leaned against the tree and looked down at the what she was studying, "Shame really. You should've studied before all this madness. It does some good." She smirked.

Cass walked through the grounds with a bit of a bounce in her step. It was a good day. She felt she was making progress in her animagi lessons, and McGonogall had flashed her one of those rare smiles. She was heading to the lake to get some much deserved rest and relaxation.
She noticed two girls she had met before and waived at them. Even though they were both Slytherins, she wanted to be nice to everyone she came across. Noticing one of the girls studying, she stopped. " Um, do you need some help?" It was Tristan. She wasn't quite sure if they were on the best of terms since there first meeting wasn't a great one.

Tristian fought the urge to throw a temper tantrum. While it would probably make her feel better she wasn't going to as there were people around and a Slytherin simply didnt throw temper tantrums. The urge was so strong however that she actually had to close her eyes and count to ten. The girl standing in her light wasn't going to move. She wasn't sure if it was because she wanted to be mean or if she was just having a bad day. "I have studied already I'm just trying to do some more studying while there's still time." Which was partially true. She had studied before she probably didn't need to study anymore. If truth be told the only reason she was still studying was because it gave her an outlet so that she didn't have to think about anything else.
Opening her eyes she noticed that someone else had joined them. It took her a while but she soon realized that it was Cassandra a girl from Gryffindor that she'd met only once. Cassandra asked if she needed any help which was surprising as their first meeting hadn't started out very well. "No I'm fine. Thanks for asking though." she said with a weary smile

Kori smiled smugly, and looked out to the grounds. The sun dazzled on the lake and it looked quite pretty; and there were few things Kori thought were pretty. Shortly, Cass walked up and started having a casual conversation with this girl. Kori narrowed her eyebrows; "So, you like chatting up with Slytherins? I hear that you have a few that are friends with you. I find that surprising, considering the conversation in the Common Room the other day." She spoke, her words full of disgust. But, instead of saying anything more; Kori turned her head and looked at the lake again.

Cass ignored the spite in the other girl's words. " Yes, I do have a few friends that are Slytherin's." She shrugged her shoulders. " I have friends in every house."
She turned back to Tristian. " Studying is awful. I"m still trying to get through those transfiguration books on animagi that McGonagall gave me to study. There just so thick and long. OH, and not to mention boring."
She mouthed a fake yawn. " So, have you been burning the midnight oil too? Your going to have to start preparing for O.W.L.'s here soon, right?"

Kori raised an eyebrow, "Well, if Tristian here doesn't watch it; people will start talking bad about her...like your friend Pyro." Kori retorted with a smooth, even, maybe bored voice. She wondered if she would a nerve in this Gryff. She had met Cassandra before, briefly in the hallways. And the conversation hadn't gone so smooth. Kori stood up from the tree and looked at Cass, waiting for her response. There wasn't a Slytherin who didn't know about Pyro's Predicament, especially a Slytherin like Kori.
Kori listened to Cass' question about the O.W.L.S. Not really caring that it might not be directed to her, "Study? Me? No. I am okay. Besides, O.W.L.S. they're nothing." Kori smiled lazily and set her book bag down. She pulled up her right leg, stretching it, then let it drop slowly. She then pulled up her left leg, stretched that one, then let it drop slowly. Kori breathed in, controlling her air flow, and did a quick pirouette.

Tristian looked from Kori to Cassandra confused. It seemed as if the two girls knew each other or at least of each other as Kori mentioned a boy named Pyro and some conversation people had been having in the slytherin common room. She also mentioned that people would start talking bad about her like they did Pyro. Tristian guessed that this Pyro fellow probably enjoyed speaking with people from the other houses. Since it had nothing to do with her however she left the subject alone. Instead she turned to Cassandra. "Yeah I'm basically getting in some last minute studying. Unlike Kori here I actually have to study."
She put her books away she probably wouldn't get any studying done out here. Stifling a yawn she watched as Kori did a pirouette. "Have you been doing that long?" She asked.

About twenty different nasty thoughts rolled through Cassandra's head when Kori mentioned Pyro. Every single one of them were directed at her. She kept her cool however. That was getting harder and harder to do everyday.
" I'm worried about my O.W.L.S. I want to do well, but I seem to get test anxiety alot. I completely understand about studying. I've always been very good in my classes without it, but who wants to be mediocre? I like to excel in everything I do, and if that means putting in a lot of extra work; than so be it."
She looked over at Kori as she made pirouted. She is trying way to hard to be cool, Cass thought to herself. She looked the girl up and down. " My mother tried to get me to do jazz when I was kid, but I was too much a tomboy. I just liked Kendo too much."
