Seth sat still giving the girl comfort, as he analyzed the situation. Seth listened as Dana spoke about her parents possibly being able to find him. Seth sat kind of silent at the situation, kind of thinking what to say. After Dana had spoke he figured it best if he did say something. "Wow, Lily, I give you credit for not breaking down earlier. I mean with the snow and all, I don't know I would have probably felt bummed just being in it." Seth said in a soothing and caring voice. "I mean, it's your brother, and even if your father did disown him, you should still be able to see him. You Should go with Dana's help. That's a really good idea and you deserve to see him, and not be away from him after a year or so."
Seth had then stopped rubbing her back and just let his hand sit there. He got up from his crouching posistion and let out his hand to help Lily up. "C'mon let's not have you sitting in the wet snow." Seth said with a warm smile.

Lily listened as Dana spoke about her parents and the possibility that they could find Johnny. *I would dearly love to see him again.*
She sighed. "Well," she began, taking Seth's hand, "I guess we could give it a try. I'm sorry I broke down like that, but it all just came rushing back."
Lily was surprised at the pair's willingness to help her. After all, they had just met and she was just a first year.

“I’ll let grand-mere know and I’ll be sure to tell her to keep things silent,” Dana said with a nod as Seth helped Lily up, “And don’t worry about it. Everybody has the right to break down once in a while, especially someone who has been through as much as you.”
Dana pulled out her wand cleaned the desks from the snow that had fallen there, before conjuring three cups of hot chocolate and handed tone to both Lily and Seth: “These will help you get warm again.”
Taking a sip from her own mug, Dana sat on a bench next to the still blazing fire, she had started earlier and let the warmth engulf her once again: “If anyone, then I should be sorry, for starting the snow-ball fight, which brought back painful memories.”
Dana leaned her head back looking in the sky for a moment. She hadn’t known her mother and had only seen her father a couple of times and was under the care of her grand-parents. She was an only child, but a cousin of hers, who had Meredith and Julien as his legal guardians, had been raised as a brother to her. Dana couldn’t imagine how hurt she would be, if she lost Kris, so she couldn’t really imagine what Lily must be feeling either.

Lily took the hot chocolate from Dana and sipped it. "No, it wasn't anyone's fault. I liked the snowball fight. It was fun. You couldn't have known." Lily smiled at Dana, who handed a cup to Seth, also.
Lily smiled wider, in spite of herself, at the prospect of seeing her Johnny again. It had been so long. Seth and Dana were being so good to her. It amazed her in a way.

Seth had taken a seat on the bench as they had done before, as Dana handed him and Lily some hot chocolate. "Thanks." Seth said as he took a sip from the steaming cup. As he drank the hot chocolate he felt his entire body become warm again.
Although Seth had not known exactly how Lily had felt, for he had had no brothers or sisters, he had known exactly how to be of help. He turned towards her and smiled. "Are you okay now? Is there anything that possibly, I or Dana could help with?" Seth said eyeing Dana, and rubbing Lily's back once again.

Lily cheered up a bit and said, "No, I'm good for now. I can't wait to see if Dana's grandparents can find him." Lily continued sipping the hot chocolate.

“I’m certainly going to let Meredith know, so don’t worry. My grand-mere can work quickly, but discreetly. She has trained me to be able to take her position as the last in the strongest blood-line of the Graas-family as well as the owner of the families book-stores. She will work quickly,” Dana said with a hint of pride evident in her voice, as she spoke of her grand-mother. Dana didn’t think herself better than muggle-borns. She herself was a half-blood, as her mother had eloped with a muggle, but she did take pride in the long line of her family.
“But you’ll know where to find us, if you ever need help with anything or just need to talk,” Dana agreed with what Seth said with a friendly smile.

Lily smiled weakly. "That's good to know. I'm fortunate to have friends like you. This has got to work. It just has to."

Dana didn’t comment about the Lily’s words, but sent a guarded glance towards the sky. There was no guarantee that the Meredith would be able to track down Lily’s brother, even with her contacts. And even then there could have been numerous obstacles. None of Dana’s thoughts showed in her eyes though as she placed her cup on the bench and stood up.
“Come on. We are all snowy and it’s going to melt soon, but I doubt it would do any good, if we all sat here with wet backs. And I for one don’t want to get back to the castle just yet,” Dana said pulling Lily to her feet and stepping behind her, brushed the snow from the younger girl’s back, before turning over to Seth. “Come on – get up. I’ll brush your back clean of snow as well,” Dana said poking Seth, until he stood up (sorry, if it’s G-moding a bit… I can change it if you want) As Seth stood up, Dana brushed his back as well, having to reach up a bit to clean the snow, that had started to melt from his shoulders, as the boy was taller than she was.
“All good,” Dana smiled stepping around of Seth, once she was finished and pushed a hand through her own hair, shaking out the snow-flakes that were still in her hair as she moved to sit down on the bench again.

Seth smiled as Dana offered to get the snow of his back, "Very nice thank you." he said pleasantly as Dana brushed off the snow. He had seen that she had sat down after brushing off the snow on both his and Lily's back. "Hey get up." he said persuadingly to Dana. "You have snow on your back as well, and I think it's the right thing for me to do, you know to wipe off the snow on your back." He said smiling.
Sitting down, after brushing the snow off of Dana's back, he had noticed the fire starting to die, as he hands felt frigid. Pulling out his hand he pointed it to the fire and watched as the flames were tall at the initial launch, and then grew to a small fire at the last. Smiling he placed his hands close to the fire and began to rub them violently together to try and produce warmth. Turning towards the girls he sighed, "Well, lets not let this bother us, as everything will be worked out okay." Seth said offering a warm smile at Dana and a wink towards Lily.

Lily nodded slowly and winked back at Seth. She began rubbing her hands together near the fire to warm them. "It would just be so great to hear from him again. He had to leave when I was nine. It would be something to find out that he is married and has a kid. I would burst out laughing." She tried to think of something funny about seeing him again so that it eased her anxiety about it. Lily took some snow, and made a pot and some milk appear. "Either of you ever make snowcream?"

“Thanks,” Dana smiled at Seth after he had cleaned her back from snow as well and curled up on the bench as Seth made the fire a bit bigger. “Well, I’ll send a letter to my grandmother today when I…” Dana glanced up as her cousin entered the courtyard with his owl on his arm.
“Give me a second, will you?” Dana said jumping up and running to Kris – a fifth year Slytherin, who she had been raised with as brother and sister.Dana stopped in front of him and talked to him quickly as Kris pulled the letter he had written open and handed Dana a quill. Leaning the paper on Kris’s back Dana scribbled the request to her grand-mother to search for Lily’s brother. Then handing the letter back to Kris, watched as he sent his owl off and retreated into the castle. “Well, the letter to Meredith is on it’s way right now. Kris allowed me to add it to his letter as he was sending her a letter anyways,” Dana explained coming back and sitting down again, “He’s a relative. A cousin, although we have been brought up as brother and sister. Although only few persons here at school seem to know it.”
“Snowcream. What’s that – something similar to ice-cream?” Dana asked curiously watching as Lily charmed a pot and some milk to appear.

Lily nodded. "Yes. You just take some snow," she picked up some and put it in a pot. " and some milk, and sugar." She added the milk, and then made sugar appear in the pot. "You mix it and eat it like ice cream. It's really good. I suppose it would work to add things like chocolate syrup to it, though I have never tried it. "

“Snow and milk and sugar. C’est bizarre. But in a good way,” Dana said leaning closer and curiously glancing in the pot before transfiguring a small twig into a spoon and getting a small spoonful from the pot, “Worth a try though.”
Dana looked at the mixture curiously- it was the first time she had heard about something like that, before shrugging and eating it.
Dana closed her eyes and put the spoon down swallowing the bite quickly. “It’s good. Surprisingly good I have to admit,” Dana shivered lightly and grinned at Lily, “A bit too cold to eat right now. At least for me though. I’d like it as a warm drink please.” Dan added with a sly wink, knowing that the ice-cream couldn’t be transfigured into something hot without changing it’s taste.

Lily laughed when Dana called the concoction bizarre. As she took some, the older girl shivered and said the she would prefer it as a warm drink. "Silly," Lily said. "If I warm it, the taste will be different. Not so good, either. " The first year then charmed a cup of hot chocolate to appear and handed it to Dana.
Noticing Seth eyeing the concoction, she asked, "Well, don't you want to try a bit? It's good, I promise."
