It was early one morning and the skies were clear. Jasmine was walking out of the castle with a cheery smile on. It was finally Valentines Day but she really didn’t have anyone to share it with. Well she liked this one boy but she was sure he didn’t like her. A smile formed on her face as she heard the birds chirp their beautiful song and many couples holding hands and walking through the court yard. All Jasmine could do was smile and greet people who said hello to her. "It such a beautiful day!" Jasmine called out and felt happy as she sat down under a big tree. Setting her shoulder bag next and took out a note book and laid it on her lap as she searched for something to write with. Jasmine shoulder bag was quite messy and needed some origination. There was crumbled up paper everywhere and UN done paper clips and much other stuff that would shock the human the eye.
Finally getting out a pencil she zipped her bag back up and left it alone. Opening up to a fresh new page she began to write. Music notes filled her head and she hummed a tone lightly in her throat. It was a song she was going to give out to her friends along with some muggle candy she had bought. Taking out a red jolly rancher she popped it into her mouth and began to suck on it. Owe how sweet it tasted and Jasmine thrived on it. You could say she had a really big sweet tooth and was always eating candy. Still writing on her note book she looked up into the clear sky and sighed. Today was a day for her to relax and just be happy.

Cassandra trudged through the courtyard. It was Valentine's Day, and tonight was the big night. Yes, Pyro and her were officially going out. Together. A couple. Not as friends. A date.
A date, thats so formal, Cass thought to herself.
Cass suddenly tripped over an upturned brick. She picked herself and said several explatives that was sure to get the attention of the couples around her. She was daydreaming so much she didn't even notice the brick.
She sat beside a girl who was popping a Jolley Rancher in her mouth. " Ooh, I haven't seen any of those since I left home. Could I have one?"

Still looking up at the sky she smiled and took a breath in from her stomach. It was such a divine thing to watch. The sun was out and Jasmine thought she would never see it. Well the last few months were all about winter and now spring was immerging from the shadows of the cold and sneaking upon the students. A blithe smile formed across her face as she pulled her knees to her stomach and grabbed hold of them. Everything was just so amicable and she loved to watch the couples stare at each other with such amour. Tucking a lock of dark brown hair behind her ears she smiled at a boy and girl walking by holding hands. Jasmine heart grew heavy with debauchery. She liked some one so dearly but she didn’t know if he liked her. Jasmine was always so scared to even ask him a single question or try to talk to him.
Jasmine sighed as she thought about "him". He seemed like the only person who could sweep her off her feet and take her away from it all. Take her away from the misery that grew inside of her the past years and to be loved for a chance. Jasmine sighed again as she leaned back on the tree and stretched her legs out in front of her. Resting the back of her head on the tree behind her she started to sing to her.
"Of all the things I've believed in I just want to get it over with Tears form behind my eyes But I do not cry Counting the days that pass me by
I've been searching deep down in my soul Words that I'm hearing are starting to get old It feels like I'm starting all over again The last three years were just pretend And I said,
[Chorus:] Goodbye to you Goodbye to everything that I knew You were the one I loved The one thing that I tried to hold on to The one thing that I tried to hold on to
I still get lost in your eyes And it seems that I can't live a day without you Closing my eyes and you chase my thoughts away To a place where I am blinded by the light But it's not right" she sang in her loudest voice and noticed some one sit down next to her.
Looking at the younger girl with a blank expression she smiled warmly. Jasmine could tell that she was a third year or older and probably a Gryffindor. Most people did not approach people like the way this girl did. An affable smile was still on her face and her hazel eyes twinkled more than ever. Clearing her throat lightly and gave the younger girl a piece of hard candy. "Yes but the wizarding world candy is a lot better than muggle. But I love them both." Jasmine said in a confection tone of voice that sounded almost like honey. Looking from the girl to the sky she took a deep breath in and smiled even more. "My names Jasmine Anderson and you are?" She asked not taking her eyes off the spectacular view of the sky.

" Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot to introduce myself. I'm cassandra Logton. Cassie or Cass for short. I've innevetable picked up those nicknames since I started here."
The girl looked up at the sky, and so Cass looked up to see what was so interesting. Seeing nothing, she just guessed it was a pretty day.
" It's a nice day, don't you think?" Cass was a little wierded out.
" So, what are you writing?"

Vanessa Nicholson landed on the last step of the staircase, with a short, 'pomp!' Perfect timing as well, because the staircase started to move. She had become aware of the Slytherins that hid in the shadows of the castle, ever since her little encounter with the Queens and their new wannabe. Vanessa had taken care to be caught up on all her high notes in singing, and dancing away. She was starting to continue towards the Great Hall when, she heard the faint sound of someone singing. In fact, Vanessa knew exactly who was singing, and smile played across her lips. As she entered the courtyard, while swinging her guitar so she could play it. As she played the tune she began to sing, though not the same song as Jasmine had been singing. "Turn it inside out so I can see, The part of you that's drifting over me. And when I wake, you're never there, And when I sleep, you're everywhere. You're everywhere. Just tell me how I got this far, Just tell me why you're here and who you are. 'Cause everytime I look, You're never there, And everytime I sleep, You're always there. 'Cause you're everywhere to me, And when I close my eyes it's you I see, You're everything I know, That makes me believe, I'm not alone, I'm not alone." This song was written by Michelle Branch, a marvelous muggle singer that Vanessa admired. Vanessa smiled as she placed the guitar down against a bench and stood in front of Jasmine and the other girl. She stuck out her hand and smiled again, "I'm Vanessa." She introduced with a gleam in her eye and a warm smile. Vanessa's memory was fading fast, and she wasn't so sure if she had met this girl before, and if she had then she would definitly have to apologize sincerely. So many people, Vanessa has met, and she can't keep all of the faces straight in her mind. ((OOC: I'm sorry, it took me so long...it's so hard typing on this small laptop. And as I said before, if Cassandra and Vanessa have met, I'm sorry too many people to keep track of in my mind.))

Cass put out her hand. " I'm Cassandra. It's great to meet you. You play guitar wonderfully. I play as well, but haven't done it in a while. It's been sitting in the dorm in the corner for a while. Of course, I'm probably no where as good as you are."
Once again, she ran off at the mouth.
